Ultimate 3-day 2-night Yichang red leaf season guide (from CNY 900+) — traveler post in Changyang

Ultimate 3-day 2-night Yichang red leaf season guide (from CNY 900+)

Don't come to Yichang in November! You won't want to leave once you arrive. Yichang after the start of winter is like a fairyland! The Three Gorges red leaves, Qingjiang Gallery, and the old riverside city are all covered. You can enjoy this stunning autumn scenery for CNY 900–1,400 per person. It's totally worth it! 🌟 Why you must visit in mid-November After the start of winter, Yichang enters the Three Gorges red leaf season. Smoke trees, Chinese tallow trees, and maple trees paint the landscape from the riverside up to the ridges. The colors are at their peak from mid-November to early December! Daytime is 17°C, mornings and evenings are 9°C. There's often mist on the river in the morning, and the mist clears around 9:00 AM, revealing the light. The scene is so clean it could be a wallpaper. Compared to the crowds during National Day, there's basically no waiting this week, and cruise groups are halved! In November, the river water turns from muddy to clear, creating a stunning contrast with the red leaves! 📍 Pre-trip overview Suitable for: Red leaf enthusiasts / photographers / family trips Recommended duration: 3 days 2 nights | Physical intensity: Moderate, about 7 km of walking per day Cost per person: CNY 900–1,400 (excluding round-trip transportation) 🗺️ 3-day itinerary breakdown Day 1: Gorge river main route Morning: Three Gorges Tribe (admission including boat approx. CNY 210, opens at 8:00 AM) → Longjin Creek Afternoon: Sanyou Cave (CNY 78) → Nanjin Pass Grand Canyon Evening: Riverside Park (free) for a romantic night cruise Day 2: Red leaf main route Morning: Three Gorges Dam (free, sightseeing bus CNY 35, real-name reservation required) → Tanziling Afternoon: Sixi Ecological Scenic Area (CNY 60) → Qinglong Gorge (including boat) Evening: Dinner near Yiling Square Day 3: Qingjiang Gallery Morning: Qingjiang Gallery (admission including boat approx. CNY 120, first boat at 8:30 AM) → Daoying Gorge Afternoon: Wuluozhongli Mountain (including boat ticket) Evening: Reluctantly heading home 🍜 Hidden gem food (local favorites) ① Taozhu Road "Huji Red Oil Noodles": Red oil noodles with braised egg. CNY 12 per person. Locals line up early just for this! The chili oil is fragrant but not too spicy, it's amazing. ② Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street "Old Street Radish Dumplings": Deep-fried radish dumplings. CNY 8 per person. Usually sold out after 4:00 PM, so get there early if you want to try them! ③ Yiling District "Dengcun Cured Meat Restaurant": Stir-fried cured meat with mountain bamboo shoots. CNY 55 per person. A home-style restaurant where locals often gather for meals, the taste is authentically delicious. ⚠️ Pitfalls I encountered (don't make the same mistakes) ① The first time I went to Three Gorges Tribe at noon, the backlight at Longjin Creek was blinding! Entering before 9:00 AM is much better. ② I waited 40 minutes to buy tickets for the Three Gorges Dam sightseeing bus on-site. Booking the transfer time in advance is the way to go. ③ Navigated to the temporary parking lot outside Nanjin Pass, and it was a 1 km walk to the ticket gate! The main entrance parking lot has more spaces. ④ The afternoon boat return at Qingjiang Gallery was in the dark. I recommend taking the 8:30 AM first boat. ⑤ Drones at the viewing platform require registration! I was discouraged from aerial photography the first time. ⑥ The river wind in November is freezing! I froze in just a hoodie on the deck. A windbreaker with a thin fleece lining is the minimum requirement! 💰 Cost breakdown (per person) Admission tickets CNY 503 (Three Gorges Tribe 210 + Sanyou Cave 78 + sightseeing bus 35 + Sixi 60 + Qingjiang Gallery 120) Local transportation CNY 30–60/day | Accommodation CNY 180–400/night | Dining CNY 40–100/meal 3-day total CNY 900–1,400 💡 Practical tips Transportation: Taxi from Yichang East Station to the city center is about CNY 25; chartering a car to Qingjiang Gallery is about CNY 200/day Accommodation: Stay on Binjiang Road for convenient boat access, or in Yiling District to see the red leaves early Clothing: Daytime temperature is 17°C, mornings and evenings are 9°C. Bring a light jacket, fleece, and non-slip shoes Photography: The river mist with side-backlighting before 9:00 AM is stunning; after 3:00 PM, the viewing platform has front-lighting, perfect for shooting the entire mountain ridge Reservation: The Three Gorges Dam requires real-name reservation. It is recommended to book boat tickets for Qingjiang Gallery one day in advance 🙋 I'd love to hear your choice If you only had one day for the Three Gorges red leaves, would you spend your time on a cruise or at the viewing platform? Let me know in the comments. Couples strolling on mountain trails, slow walks by the river at night, sitting by the window watching the mountain scenery—every frame is a romantic memory

Autumn Getaway to Yichang | Cruise Xiling Gorge and the Qingjiang River, Experience Local Life — traveler post in Changyang

Autumn Getaway to Yichang | Cruise Xiling Gorge and the Qingjiang River, Experience Local Life

After autumn arrives, Yichang sheds the summer heat. The gorges, Qingjiang River, and forests are slowly painted in shades of autumn. The river water is clear, offering both magnificent gorge scenery and the tranquility of mountain villages. This itinerary is relaxed, balancing natural scenery with local life, perfect for travelers who want to avoid crowds and experience the autumn scenery of Western Hubei. 🚗 Transportation tips · High-speed rail: Arrive at Yichang East Station, where city buses and ride-hailing services are readily available. · Self-driving: Best for visiting surrounding gorges and attractions along the Qingjiang River. Mountain roads have many curves, and fog is common in autumn, so please drive carefully. · For short trips between attractions, you can also choose tourist shuttle lines. Check the schedule before you go. 📅 3-day, 2-night itinerary Day 1: Around the city, a first taste of autumn in the gorge Xiling Gorge Scenic Area Xiling Gorge retains its original gorge features. In autumn, the trees on both banks gradually turn yellow, and the river winds through. Walk along the gentle paths to see the rock walls and autumn forests without strenuous climbing. You can visit Sanyou Cave and read the stone carvings left by ancient scholars. Tip: It is windy by the river and cool in autumn, so bring a light jacket. In the evening, visit Xiba Night Market to experience the local vibe. You can try fatty fish hot pot and radish dumplings, which offer rich flavors. Day 2: Qingjiang River scenery, mountain autumn views Qingjiang Gallery "Eight hundred miles of the Qingjiang River is as beautiful as a painting." In autumn, the river water turns a clear green, and the forests on both banks slowly change color. A boat tour is the most relaxing way to see it; sit on the boat and look out at the rolling autumn mountains without long hikes. Along the way, you will stop at Wuluo Zhongli Mountain. The hiking trail has a moderate slope, so you can walk slowly even if you have average stamina. Tip: Boat times are fixed, so it is recommended to go in the morning. It is windy on the river, so stay warm. For dinner, we recommend Qingjiang fish, which has tender meat and is a local specialty. Day 3: Seeking autumn in the mountains, experiencing village life Guanzhuang Citrus Town (autumn special) Autumn is the harvest season for citrus. The orchards are fragrant, and you can walk through the fields to feel the rural autumn scenery. The roads are flat, making it suitable for a leisurely walk. If you have time, you can also stop by Bailiang, where the alpine meadows turn yellow and the view is wide. It is a great place to see the distant mountains and autumn sunsets. 🏨 Accommodation recommendations If you want convenient access to city food and transportation, choose a hotel near Yichang East Station or the city center. If you want to sleep by the water and mountains, you can choose a homestay near Changyang Qingjiang. The environment is quiet, but the facilities are relatively simple. 🍂 Autumn travel tips 1. There is a large temperature difference in the Yichang mountains. It is mild during the day but cool in the morning and evening, so layer your clothing and bring non-slip sneakers. 2. The weather in the mountains is changeable, so carry portable rain gear. 3. It is recommended to check the boat schedules for the Qingjiang River and the gorge in advance. It is crowded during holidays, so try to leave early. 4. When tasting local delicacies and river fish, try to choose regular local restaurants. 5. Do not stray from the trails during outdoor sightseeing and pay attention to fire safety in the mountains. Hashtags

Weekend in Yichang: Relax and enjoy the flower fields — traveler post in Changyang

Weekend in Yichang: Relax and enjoy the flower fields

A weekend trip to Yichang | Embrace the autumn romance at Bailinhe Wetland Park and enjoy a cozy stay at the Argyle Boutique Hotel Tired of the city's endless hustle and fast pace, I always want to escape on the weekend to find a gentle autumn scene and heal the fatigue that has built up over time. This time, I dedicated my short trip to Yichang, rushing to the limited-time autumn romance of Bailinhe Wetland Park, staying at the Argyle Boutique Hotel, and tucking the mountain breeze and a lazy stay into two days and one night of gentle time.✨ Bailinhe Wetland Park in autumn is Yichang's most effortless healing secret spot. There are no crowded crowds, only autumn breezes, flower fields, flowing water, and casual gentleness—a true hidden gem on the edge of the city. The wetland in late September hides two stunning autumn feasts. Over 10,000 square meters of sunflower fields are in full bloom, their golden heads swaying gently in the autumn breeze. The height is just right; standing by the flowers to take photos gives you a natural, gentle, soft-focus filter. It is full of healing vitality, and every snapshot is an atmospheric autumn blockbuster. Not far away, fields of pink muhly grass look like clouds and mist, with fluffy pink-purple flower spikes surging in the wind, layer upon layer. The atmosphere is maxed out, and walking on the wooden boardwalk feels like stumbling into a dreamy autumn fairy tale. Strolling slowly along the winding riverside path is the best way to unlock the autumn scenery of Bailinhe. The sycamores by the river have shed their green, and as the autumn breeze blows, golden-red leaves rustle down, paving the way with autumn charm. The clear river water sparkles, weeping willows sway on the banks, and the vegetation is layered in shades of green and gold. With birds chirping and water murmuring, the evening breeze carries the scent of plants and flowers, gently smoothing away all restlessness. Time here is exceptionally relaxed and free, perfectly suited for any lazy weekend state of mind. You can rent a bike and roam along the long cycling path to chase the wind, immersing yourself in the autumn evening breeze. You can also find an open lawn to sit and rest, watching tourists chat, children play, or just sit and daydream. There are also many fishing enthusiasts sitting by the water, leisurely and content, outlining a picture of clear water, green banks, and a cozy, healing autumn waterfront. No need to rush, just feel it slowly—this is the most comfortable way to enjoy a short weekend trip.🌿 After exploring the mountain and autumn charm of the wetland, a perfect trip wouldn't be complete without a place to stay that heals the body and mind. My stay at the Argyle Boutique Hotel in Yichang was definitely a highlight of this autumn trip. Its location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle, and its elegant, light-luxury style perfectly captured the gentleness and relaxation of the whole day. The hotel features a new Chinese light-luxury style, inspired by the landscapes of Yiling, perfectly blending Oriental elegance with modern aesthetics. The moment you step into the lobby, all your fatigue melts away. The spacious and grand area, soft and warm lighting, scattered greenery, and landscape art details create a sense of high-end sophistication without being flashy—quiet, healing, and full of atmosphere. The guest room experience maximizes happiness✨ The room is spacious and airy, with oversized floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the scenery indoors. During the day, you can overlook the city view, and in the evening, you can wait for the sunset glow and the brilliant night view—the view is excellent. The smart home configuration is super thoughtful; you can control the lights, curtains, and air conditioning with voice commands, which is a huge happiness boost for lazy travelers. The soft, skin-friendly, high-quality bedding and the soundproof glass windows completely isolate the outside noise, allowing you to sleep peacefully at night and heal all your travel fatigue with a good night's sleep. The details show great care: the clean, dry-and-wet separated bathroom, exquisite toiletries, and comfortable leisure corners—every design balances texture and practicality. In your spare time, you can sit by the window, brew a pot of tea, watch the wind and shadows shift outside, and enjoy a quiet moment all to yourself. The hotel's facilities are also very complete, with a 24-hour gym and a clean self-service laundry room, catering to both leisure and travel needs. Whether you are a couple or traveling with friends, it is exceptionally suitable. By day, head to Bailinhe Wetland to encounter flower fields, autumn breezes, and mountain autumn light, immersing yourself in the romantic healing of nature. By night, retreat to the Argyle Boutique Hotel, stay in an elegant and quiet residence, and enjoy a lazy, comfortable, and cozy stay. No need to travel far, no need to rush. A short weekend trip to Yichang is half natural autumn charm and half the gentle warmth of daily life. The perfect meeting of mountain romance and exquisite accommodation—this is the most healing way to travel in autumn.🍂

Off-peak/Photography: Shoot river mist/Qingjiang boats in the morning; sunset at Riverside Park in the evening; use waterproof bags for cameras at waterfalls/on boats; be mindful of others when taking photos at Er'ma Road. 3. Avoiding Scams/Etiquette: Buy cruise/attraction tickets in advance to avoid scalpers; ask for prices before buying at night markets; don't litter to protect the river; hike within your limits and avoid peak sun. 4. Pace: Keep it relaxed and don't rush; bring a power bank; bring a jacket for the riverside breeze; download offline maps for mountain/gorge areas with weak signals. Save this and head out for some reverse tourism.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this hotel in Yichang! I didn't want to check out

Just took my kid to Yichang for a trip. We spent the day strolling through tea gardens🍃 and the evenings relaxing at the hotel—the experience was top-notch! I highly recommend the Licheng Hotel (Wanda Riverside Branch). It's comfortable, convenient, and you'll see why once you stay here!✨ 🚏 Amazing location! It's right next to the Wanda commercial area. You're steps away from food streets and shopping malls—you won't be able to stop eating and shopping🍜! It's also super close to Riverside Park. Taking a walk in the evening breeze is so relaxing you won't want to go back to your room. Getting a taxi to Three Gorges Tribe or Qingjiang Gallery is quick, making travel stress-free! 🛏️ Perfect room details The room is so spacious you could roll around in it. The bedding is as soft as a cloud☁️. After a tiring day, just collapsing onto the bed recharges your batteries instantly! The lighting is warm, and there's a tatami mat by the window. You can brew tea and enjoy the view during the day, or just lie there scrolling on your phone at night—you won't even want to leave! The bathroom has a dry/wet separation, it's spotless, and there's no odor at all. Perfectionists will love it👍 💁‍♀️ Heartwarming front desk service The staff are super enthusiastic, and check-in/check-out is super efficient. I needed an extra pillow, and it was delivered to my room immediately—the response speed was like lightning⚡! Plus, the hotel environment is very quiet with good soundproofing, so you won't be woken up at night and can sleep soundly until morning~ 👧 Who is this for? Whether you're traveling with friends, solo, or bringing your kids to Yichang, this place offers great value! I'll definitely be booking this hotel again next time I'm in Yichang!

Yichang Qingjiang Gallery Summer Guide | Relax on a boat and step into a Tujia ink-wash landscape. Want to escape the summer heat? Qingjiang Gallery is a hidden gem for cooling off, with a cool breeze — traveler post in Changyang

Yichang Qingjiang Gallery Summer Guide | Relax on a boat and step into a Tujia ink-wash landscape. Want to escape the summer heat? Qingjiang Gallery is a hidden gem for cooling off, with a cool breeze

Yichang Qingjiang Gallery Summer Guide | Relax on a boat and step into a Tujia ink-wash landscape Want to escape the summer heat? Qingjiang Gallery is a hidden gem for cooling off. With a cool breeze and a refreshing atmosphere, you don't need to rush—just hop on a boat and take in the stunning scenery of the 800-li Qingjiang River. For transportation, driving is the most convenient option. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the visitor center from downtown Yichang, and there is plenty of parking. If using public transport, take the direct tourist bus to save time and avoid the hassle of transfers. You must purchase a ticket for the scenic area. We recommend the Line A "Shengjing Tour" package, which lasts 4–4.5 hours and includes stops at Daoying Gorge, Xianren Village, and Wuluo Zhongli Mountain. If this is your first time, go for this route. If you prefer to avoid climbing, choose Line B for a more relaxed and leisurely experience with less hiking. Upon entering, stroll through the Tujia Wind and Rain Bridge and the cultural street before boarding the boat. The second deck of the cruise ship is the prime spot for photos; the emerald river water against the backdrop of green mountains makes for a perfect ink-wash painting shot. Cruise through Daoying Gorge to see the mountains reflected in the water, spot wild macaques at Xianren Village (please do not feed them), and climb Wuluo Zhongli Mountain, the birthplace of the Tujia people, for a panoramic view of the Qingjiang River's great bend. The summer sun is intense, so be sure to bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and a sun hat. It can be windy on the river, so bring a light jacket. Wear comfortable sneakers, as they make walking on the mountain trails much easier. Supplies in the scenic area are limited, so bring your own water and snacks. Try to catch an early boat to avoid the afternoon crowds, and remember that entry stops at 4:30 PM—don't cut it too close and miss the last boat. After your tour, try some Changyang Tujia cuisine, such as cured pork trotters and fresh Qingjiang fish. Most visitors opt for a day trip, but if you want a slower pace, you can stay in Changyang County to experience the local atmosphere. Avoid unofficial guides and book your tickets online in advance to easily unlock this summer landscape feast.

Be sure to try authentic Yichang fat fish (tender meat), radish dumplings (fried snack), and Tujia cured meat to experience the rich flavors of the Ba Chu region.

Ancient village charm, red memories, a place you won’t want to leave once you arrive — traveler post in Changyang

Ancient village charm, red memories, a place you won’t want to leave once you arrive

Set off from Changyang county early in the morning and head west along the Qingjiang River. The mountain road winds and climbs through the gorge. After more than two hours, the vehicle reaches a flat area at the mountain top—welcome to Machi ancient village. Located in Duzhenwan town, the name "Machi" comes from the many hemp soaking, spinning, and weaving businesses that once thrived here. However, it became historically significant for another reason during the land revolution: in July 1929, Marshal He Long formed the 6th Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Revolutionary Army here. This was the first organized Red Army unit in a national ethnic minority region. Step into the best-preserved revolutionary sites in western Hubei The moment you get off the vehicle, the mountain breeze carrying the scent of grass and trees hits you. The ancient village faces north toward the Qingjiang River, nestled against the mountain and river. Black wooden houses, bluestone steps, and crescent-shaped old tile roofs instantly transport you back nearly 100 years. Walking uphill along the alley, the first site you see is the former Changyang county Soviet government office—a simple Tujia-style building. Outside the courtyard wall stands a roughly 500-year-old ginkgo tree, lush with branches and leaves. Marshal He Long once tied his horse here. The iron horse stake nailed into the tree trunk has fused with the ancient tree, its rough surface like a fingerprint left by history. Continuing inside, the sites line up in a row: · Former Changyang county committee of the Communist Party of China · Former Changyang county military committee · Former Changyang county women’s association · Former Changyang county guard detachment · Headquarters of the 6th Army of the Chinese Revolutionary Army · Residence where He Long lived · The “Red Army tree” In March 1931, the Changyang county committee and Soviet government relocated to Machi, making it the core of the Xiang-E border revolutionary base. Today, it has been designated as a "Hubei Province patriotism education base" and "Yichang city patriotism education base," among other titles. Strolling along the 500-meter bluestone pedestrian street, you’ll see renovated Tujia homes with weathered wooden walls. Occasionally, local elders sit quietly under the eaves—they may be descendants of the Red 6th Army. The village gate is grand, and the Red 6th Army headquarters and the Li Buyun memorial pavilion are key restored attractions. Daily life beyond the red history Machi is more than just “red.” It’s a revolutionary old area where Tujia and Han people live together, and one of the few “red + Tujia” dual-theme villages in the Qingjiang Gallery main scenic area. An old farmer leads a water buffalo across a stone bridge. Rice paddies hide behind blue tile and wooden walls, while the Qingjiang River rushes through the valley in the distance. With an average summer temperature of only 22–25℃, it’s a natural summer retreat. If you have time, take a slow walk along the wooden boardwalk. The combination of stone walls and red flags tells stories on its own, and every photo looks like a vintage masterpiece. For lunch, eat at a farmhouse near the ancient village. Tujia flavors like free-range chicken hot pot, freshly picked wild vegetables, fried green peppers with pork, and lazy tofu are rich and unforgettable. You can enjoy a satisfying meal for just 60–70 yuan per person. Practical information Item details Address Machi village, Duzhenwan town, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County Rating / admission National AAA-level tourist attraction, currently free to enter (subject to onsite notice) Opening hours Daily 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Transportation Self-drive: Changyang county → Jinzi Mountain → Huaqiao → Shibaguai → Duzhenwan → Machi; or take the customized "Changyang–Machi ancient village" shuttle from Changyang county (about ¥13, 62 minutes) direct There are no commercial facilities inside the ancient village. It’s recommended to bring drinking water and snacks. The mountain area is often foggy and humid in the morning, so non-slip shoes and a light jacket are necessary. A note for the return trip Looking back on the return journey, the ancient village lies quietly by the Qingjiang River. The ginkgo tree where He Long tied his war horse is now even more lush. The local government has invested over 20 million yuan in developing the scenic area. The story of the Red 6th Army has been included in local school textbooks and is a required course for Changyang’s primary and secondary students. If you only plan to take the boat on Qingjiang Gallery or walk the boardwalk at Fangshan, you’ll miss the most passionate red piece hidden deep in western Hubei’s mountains. Machi ancient village isn’t the kind of “wow, so impressive” attraction. It’s more like an open old book—you need to slow down and turn the pages one by one. Only then will you understand that the spirit of this land remains fresh and enduring. The best way to combine it is a one-day tour: in the morning, take the sacred boat tour to see the 800-li Qingjiang River; in the afternoon, drive into the mountains to visit Machi ancient village; and in the evening, return to the county to enjoy a bowl of Tujia red oil noodles. In one day, you’ll experience both the “softness” and “strength” of Changyang.

Traveling with Kids Around Yichang | Changyang Nuanshan Yue (Nanny-Level Stay Guide)

Hi, I’m a full-time mom. Last week, we visited the new homestay Nuanshan Yue in Yichang. The first thing that caught my eye was definitely the 30-meter super large infinity pool. The on-site experience was truly amazing. Whether you’re a photo enthusiast, taking kids out, or just relaxing by yourself, it’s a perfect spot. Here’s my travel guide: Transportation Self-driving (top choice): About 1 hour from downtown Yichang, only 20 minutes from Yidu. The entire route is smooth, and the homestay offers free exclusive parking, making parking convenient and worry-free. Free activities inside the homestay: Internet-famous infinity river-view pool: The homestay’s signature check-in spot, facing the beautiful Qingjiang River scenery. You can freely use the pink flamingo and yellow duck swim rings for photos and summer water fun. All-in-one entertainment area: Pool table battles, tea room for tasting, children’s ball pit, picture book reading—adults can relax while kids burn off energy without interrupting each other. Night-only activities: Rooftop telescope stargazing, night swimming in the pool, and a full mountain wilderness nighttime atmosphere. Nearby off-the-beaten-path activities (exclusive routes) · A 10-minute walk to Sankouyan Reservoir for leisure fishing · A 15-minute drive to a pristine wild waterfall, secluded and perfect for photos · Short mountain hikes nearby for immersive fresh air and lung cleansing After the kids spent half a day burning energy in the pool, we came back to the homestay for a farmhouse meal. The environment was comfortable, and they ate three bowls in a row. For me, a comfortable homestay is a great way to save energy while taking care of kids.

Enjoy a vacation right at your doorstep: Yichang is just 40 minutes away from "Little Sanya"

No need to leave Hubei! Nuanshan Yue Homestay is just a 40-minute drive from Yichang. With its coconut groves, swimming pool, and overall resort feel, it truly feels like staying in a Sanya hotel. Our group of three adults and two children each found their own comfortable spots. The basement level boasts a comprehensive activity area, gym, billiards room, cinema, and children's playground – the amenities are quite complete. The swimming pool alone could easily keep adults and children entertained for an entire afternoon. After sunset, we took photos of the sunflowers on the hillside and admired the vegetables grown by the host – it was incredibly relaxing. 😌 🌃At night, stargazing from the balcony is also a wonderful experience.

Two Dams and One Gorge

I recently joined this wonderful Three Gorges one-day cruise tour in Yichang together with my friends. The whole tour cost only 250 yuan per person, and a nice lunch was included in the package, which is really good value. We sailed through the beautiful Xiling Gorge and got to see the world-famous Three Gorges Dam. The river and mountain views along the way were breathtaking. Our tour guide was very friendly and patient. The guide showed us all the sights and explained lots of useful information about the dam and the gorge. All of us were satisfied and enjoyed the trip a lot. The schedule was well planned, and the boat ride was comfortable. I highly recommend this cruise tour if you come to Yichang!

Qingjiang Fangshan Scenic Area

Before my first visit to Qingjiang Fangshan, my biggest worry was how to explore such a large scenic area. However, after walking around, I found the route wasn't complicated at all. 👌 Taking the cable car at the beginning saved energy, and then focusing on high-altitude activities in the middle, followed by leisurely views of the mountains and waterfalls – a very comfortable pace. 📝 Transportation Guide 🚗 By car: Wuhan → Qingjiang Fangshan Scenic Area (approximately 4.5 hours) 📝 One-day summer getaway guide (hiking + photo opportunities) 🌊 This is the easiest way to plan your first visit: Enter the scenic area from the East Gate → Colorful Bridge → Cable Car → Bawangfan Road. Don't rush at the beginning; save your energy by taking the cable car, allowing more time for the rest of the trip. The route will be much more spacious, followed by the infinity glass walkway → Seven-Tier Waterfall → Health Pavilion → Heavenly Ladder. This section alternates between natural scenery and challenging activities. Enjoy the canyon views from the infinity glass walkway, stop at the Seven-Tier Waterfall to relax in the mist, and continue the challenge at the Heavenly Ladder. Afterwards, take the glass walkway and the high-altitude bicycle. If you enjoy thrills, you can spend more time here. After that, walk along the Heavenly Road → Lovers' Platform → Wonderful Gate → Stilted Building → Lovers' Peak → Ancient Salt Road → Asking the Way Pavilion. The latter half is more suitable for a slower pace. Finally, pass by the Buddha Dust Waterfall and the Ancient Qin Waterfall in sequence, and exit through the West Gate. The entire route can be followed without detours. Back to Photo Spots 📸 Five-Colored Bridge: The first stop for capturing stunning canyon views; the colors are quite distinctive. 📸 Infinity Glass Walkway: A must-take photo on your first visit; a very representative scene of Qingjiang Fangshan. 📸 Seven-Tiered Waterfall: In summer, the water features blend beautifully with the surrounding greenery, creating a refreshing atmosphere. 📸 Glass Corridor Bridge: Standing on the bridge offers views of both the canyon and distant mountains, perfect for horizontal compositions. 📸 Stilted Buildings: After taking plenty of mountain shots, this is a great place to switch to photos with more cultural elements. 💡Tips ✅ No need to rethink your route on your first visit; just enter from the east gate and exit from the west gate. ✅ No To make hiking a physically demanding activity, taking the cable car is highly recommended. ✅ Choose high-altitude activities based on your personal tolerance level; don't rush to "do everything." ✅ When the afternoon temperature is high, you can take a break near the mountains, forests, or waterfalls. ✅ It's advisable to prepare sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and a small amount of snacks to replenish energy. ✅ A day trip from Wuhan by car takes a long time, so allow plenty of time before departure. #QingjiangFangshan #QingjiangFangshanBeautiful #QingjiangFangshanTravelGuide #YichangTourism #YichangQingjiangFangshan #PostCollegeEntranceExamTravel #WhereToGoAfterCollegeEntranceExams #YichangTravelGuide #WuhanSurroundings #SummerEscape

Sanxia Songcheng Show Park

I went with friends. The performance was fantastic; the actors were dedicated and their performances were very engaging. The historical stories were well-choreographed, the dances were beautiful, and the overall style of Chu culture was perfect. The sight of thousands of red flags after the performance was incredibly moving and filled me with a sense of pride! Five-star recommendation; I'll definitely bring my kids next time.

The Three Gorges Dam Tourism Area

It's definitely worth a visit to witness the greatness of our motherland firsthand. The scenic area is very well organized; there's no need to wait for the buses, and everything is very orderly. The only cost is the bus fare; everything else is free.

Qingjiangwan Tourist Resort

This place is definitely worth bringing your kids to experience. Firstly, the Giraffe Park is located around Qingjiang Bay. The environment and air quality are excellent, with plenty of greenery all around. Putting down electronic devices and letting children experience nature is a great idea. Many of the animals roam freely, allowing for interaction. This also helps improve children's overall abilities. It's a fantastic family outing experience.

Tribe of the Three Gorges

The midday performance could be improved, but the afternoon performance was very good; the young man playing the flute by the bamboo forest stream was very pleasant to listen to 👍, and the scenery along the way was picturesque. I recommend taking the time to complete the entire route 😃.
