Photo Guide to the 500 Arhats — traveler post in Ju County

Photo Guide to the 500 Arhats

🏯Fulai Mountain Guide | Dinglin Temple's 500 Arhats: Hiking and history in one trip! If you are looking for a place near Rizhao that combines lush mountain forests with the cultural charm of an ancient temple, Fulai Mountain Scenic Area is perfect for a half-day trip. I recommend starting in the morning: hike into the scenic area first, then head to Dinglin Temple to see the ancient architecture, old trees, and the 500 Arhats. It is a comfortable pace, and you will not be exposed to too much sun. The highlight of Fulai Mountain is not high-intensity hiking, but the combination of mountain trails, ancient temple courtyards, and the Arhats. There are many ancient trees in the scenic area, providing dense shade, which makes walking much more comfortable in summer compared to fully exposed mountain paths. Dinglin Temple itself has a rustic charm; the gray tiles, red walls, stone paths, and layered courtyards are all very photogenic and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The 500 Arhats are the main attraction here. With their large numbers and diverse poses, seeing the details up close is quite striking. I recommend setting aside enough time to appreciate them properly. Here are three recommended photo spots: First, the stone steps at the entrance, perfect for a "starting the hike" check-in photo. Second, the Dinglin Temple gate, where the gray-tiled eaves and mountain backdrop make for great shots. Third, the temple courtyard under the ancient trees, where the shadows cast on the red walls and stone paths create the best atmosphere. When photographing the Arhats, I suggest using a front-side angle to capture both the group arrangement and highlight the subject. For portraits, try to avoid midday; the light is softer before 9:00 AM or after 4:00 PM. Travel tips: The scenic area involves walking up stone steps, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Flip-flops or new shoes are not recommended. There are many mosquitoes in the mountains, so bring mosquito repellent. The Arhat area is primarily for viewing; please do not use a strong flash when taking photos, and do not touch the exhibits. It gets crowded on weekends, so I suggest arriving early to avoid the crowds and get empty shots. Signal in the mountains can be unstable, so save your navigation and ticket information in advance. Don't leave your return trip too late, and confirm the routes for the mountain roads and parking lot beforehand. Hashtags:

A must-read guide to Dinglin Temple at Fulai Mountain — traveler post in Ju County

A must-read guide to Dinglin Temple at Fulai Mountain

🌿 Fulai Mountain Scenic Area | A one-day guide to Dinglin Temple: Ancient ginkgo temple, mountain trails, and photo spots I’ve always wanted to find a place where I could visit an ancient temple, go for a hike, breathe in some fresh air, and easily capture atmospheric photos. This time, I set my sights on Dinglin Temple at Fulai Mountain Scenic Area. It’s free from the crowds of over-commercialization, with mountain paths, ancient trees, red walls, and stone steps all intertwined—perfect for a short weekend escape from the city. We arrived around 9:00 AM and started by slowly walking up the mountain along the scenic trail. The air smelled of pine needles and earth, and I felt myself relax almost immediately. I recommend three highlights: First, the atmosphere of Dinglin Temple, where the red walls, gray tiles, ancient trees, and mountain gate create a wonderful sense of depth. Second, the mountain trails at Fulai Mountain, where the stone steps are shaded by trees on both sides, making them perfect for natural, documentary-style photos. Third, the autumn ginkgo season, when golden leaves fall onto the temple eaves and stone steps, creating an even more striking scene. I suggest planning for a half-day to a full-day trip: visit Dinglin Temple in the morning, take a break at noon, and then explore the trails and mountain scenery in the afternoon for a comfortable, relaxed pace. As for photo spots, for the first stop, I suggest shooting the front of the Dinglin Temple gate. Stand below the steps and use a vertical composition, placing the subject in the bottom third of the frame to highlight the depth of the architecture. For the second stop, shoot the red walls and ancient trees; have the subject walk close to the red wall and use side lighting to capture shadows and depth. For the third stop, shoot the stone steps from a low angle, letting the trees form a natural frame. For the fourth stop, shoot the temple corner, where the gray tile eaves and wall lines make for a great background. For the fifth stop, take a "looking back" photo on the mountain path; walking while looking back makes the shot feel more natural. For the sixth stop, take detail shots next to the ancient trees; sitting on a bench or standing in the tree shadows works best when the light is soft. I’ve also put together some tips to help you avoid common pitfalls: Try to avoid the harsh light at noon; portraits look softer before 9:00 AM or after 4:00 PM. There are many stone steps on the mountain, so comfortable sneakers are much more practical than high heels. There are quite a few mosquitoes in the scenic area, so I recommend bringing mosquito repellent. While the ginkgo season is beautiful, it also gets significantly more crowded, so arrive early if you want to capture shots without people. Please keep quiet in the temple area and try not to disturb pilgrims or other visitors while taking photos. Overall, Dinglin Temple at Fulai Mountain is perfect for those who enjoy ancient temples, forests, and slow travel. Don’t overschedule your trip—take your time walking and photographing, and you’ll have a very rewarding experience.

Enjoy a relaxing sea breeze vacation | A complete guide to traveling freely in Rizhao, Shandong — traveler post in Ju County

Enjoy a relaxing sea breeze vacation | A complete guide to traveling freely in Rizhao, Shandong

Enjoy a relaxing seaside vacation | A complete guide to Rizhao, Shandong Tired of the crowded and noisy popular seaside cities? If you're looking for a clean, fine sandy beach to watch the sunrise and sunset, and immerse yourself in the leisurely charm of a seaside town, then Rizhao, Shandong, is the perfect choice. This small city nestled on the Yellow Sea coast boasts a long, clean coastline and soft, fine sand. Free from the hustle and bustle of over-commercialization, it offers both refreshing and tranquil popular tourist spots and hidden gems like local fishing villages. Whether you're going beachcombing, enjoying affordable seafood, or strolling along the coastal greenway, whether it's a family trip, a romantic getaway, or a relaxing getaway with friends, you're sure to find comfort and relaxation. Having explored coastal travel for many years, I've delved into Rizhao multiple times, avoiding the monotonous, formulaic itineraries found online. Combining local travel habits, seasonal seascape differences, and actual cost of living, I've personally compiled this highly practical travel guide. From travel time and accommodation choices to routes and pitfall-avoiding details, everything is explained thoroughly. First-time visitors to Rizhao can easily and worry-free navigate this guide without making any mistakes. I. Pre-Trip Preparations: The First Step to Exploring Rizhao Best Time to Visit Rizhao has a temperate maritime climate, mild and comfortable, with distinct scenery in each season. June to September is the peak season for travel, with pleasant sea temperatures perfect for swimming and playing in the water. The lush greenery along the coast creates a wonderful atmosphere, making it the busiest time of year. May and October offer cool, pleasant temperatures, fewer tourists, and cleaner beaches, ideal for leisurely walks, photography, and sightseeing – excellent value for money. Autumn and winter bring cooler sea breezes, making them less suitable for swimming. Those who prefer a quieter seaside experience should travel during off-peak seasons. Transportation Guide Out-of-town visitors can directly access Rizhao Station and Rizhao West Station. The high-speed rail stations are a convenient drive from the seaside scenic areas, and buses and ride-hailing services are readily available after exiting the stations. Getting around the city is easy; a one-yuan bus connects all major seaside attractions, saving money and providing convenience. For flexible travel, short-distance taxis are affordable. Driving along the coast is not recommended due to limited parking and potential congestion during peak season. Accommodation Selection Tips Don't blindly follow trends when choosing accommodations in Rizhao; select according to your needs. For those prioritizing convenient transportation and proximity to popular beaches, consider guesthouses and hotels around the Third Bathing Beach and Wanpingkou, just minutes' walk from the beach, making evening shopping and dining convenient. For a quiet vacation and experiencing the fishing village atmosphere, choose accommodations near Renjiatai and Lijia Tai fishing villages, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy close-up views of fishing boats setting sail in the morning. For budget-conscious travelers seeking value, choose accommodations outside the city center, offering convenient transportation and lower prices. Essential Items to Bring The UV radiation is extremely high at the beach, so high SPF sunscreen, a sun hat, sunglasses, and sun-protective clothing are indispensable. The temperature difference between day and night is significant at the beach; even in the height of summer, a light jacket is necessary, as it can get quite cool in the evenings. For beachcombing, prepare a small bucket, shovel, and non-slip gloves, as equipment rentals at tourist attractions are expensive. Seafood is a staple food, so those with sensitive stomachs should bring stomach medication to easily handle the feast. Most shops on the island accept mobile payments, so you don't need to carry large amounts of cash. II. Classic Three-Day Itinerary: Balanced Relaxation and Relaxation Day 1: Encountering Coastal Scenery and Getting to Know Rizhao's Seascape After arriving in Rizhao and settling into your accommodation, take a short rest to relieve travel fatigue. Enjoy a simple local lunch nearby to gradually adjust to the seaside cuisine. In the afternoon, head straight to Wanpingkou Scenic Area. The coastline here is wide and long, and Gate 3 is home to many popular photo spots. The seaside swings, the trendy sky ladder, and the artistic movie wall make for stunning photos. Avoiding the crowds at Gate 1 will provide a better swimming experience. Walk along the coastline, strolling along the sunny coast, and encounter the romantic Orange Sea viewpoint. As evening falls, the sunset casts a warm and soothing glow on the sea. After nightfall, head to the seaside night market to sample various local street food and experience the lively yet leisurely seaside nightlife of Rizhao. Day 2: Immersive Beachcombing and Exploring a Traditional Fishing Village This is an unmissable activity in Rizhao. Check the tide schedule in advance, and be sure to go beachcombing during low tide. For beginners, Taigong Island Oyster Park and Renjiatai Reef Park are top choices. Both are free to enter, and the crevices of the reefs teem with small crabs, snails, clams, and oysters. Dig for razor clams by sprinkling salt, and catch small crabs by turning over rocks – fun for both adults and children. After beachcombing, head to the Seaside Forest Park. The park is lush and verdant, with fresh, natural air. The long, high-quality beach is sparsely populated, allowing for a quiet, barefoot stroll along the shore, enjoying the sea breeze and relaxing. You can also rent bicycles to explore the forest, escaping the city hustle and bustle and enjoying tranquil moments. At noon, enjoy a fresh seafood feast at a nearby fisherman's restaurant, savoring the unique flavors of the sea. Day 3: Slow-Paced Exploration of Lesser-Known Spots, a Relaxing End to the Trip On the last day of the trip, slow down completely. Get up early and head to the Lighthouse Square to watch the sunrise over the sea. Witness the magnificent and soothing scene as the red sun slowly rises from the shimmering water. In your free time, browse the local market and choose unique souvenirs such as Rizhao green tea and dried seafood. If you have ample time, you can stroll around the World Sailing Championship base, admire the beautiful sailboat scenery along the coast, experience the unique sporting atmosphere of this coastal city, avoid the crowds of popular tourist attractions, and quietly soak in the gentle charm of this small town. After enjoying a final meal of local delicacies, pack your bags and conclude your relaxing and enjoyable Rizhao trip. III. Authentic Rizhao Cuisine - Highly Recommended by Locals Rizhao cuisine is primarily based on fresh seafood from the Yellow Sea. The ingredients are all caught by fishermen that day, resulting in tender and plump meat. The cooking methods are simple and light, preserving the original freshness and aroma of the seafood to the greatest extent. The local signature dish, "Sea Sand Noodles," is a true specialty. The broth is made with fresh shellfish, resulting in a rich and flavorful taste, making it a top choice for locals' daily breakfast. In addition, the thin-skinned and generously filled mackerel dumplings, the fragrant and flavorful sea cucumber rice, and the flavorful Lanshan mixed fish potstickers are all worth trying. Street-side coarse grain pancakes rolled with crispy small fish offer a savory and delicious taste full of local flavor. Juxian whole lamb soup is warming and suitable for all seasons. For affordable and authentic seafood, prioritize established local restaurants in residential areas, avoiding overpriced restaurants in tourist areas. You can enjoy seafood at reasonable prices. IV. Practical Tips for Avoiding Pitfalls 1. When playing at the beach, do not venture into secluded or uninhabited areas. Rocky areas are slippery and prone to falls, and the tide rises quickly; always be mindful of your safety. 2. Do not easily believe roadside advertisements for low-priced beach activities. Confirm the details of each activity's pricing beforehand and avoid hidden costs. 3. Purchase seafood specialties at reputable seafood markets. Select fresh seafood on-site, buy rationally, and beware of being shortchanged. 4. During holidays, the beach is extremely crowded. Book popular accommodations and travel tickets in advance to avoid being unable to find a place to stay when you arrive. 5. Responsibly protect the coastal ecosystem. Take your trash with you after beachcombing, do not indiscriminately catch young seafood, and protect the pristine coastline. Travel Conclusion You don't need to travel far; you can embrace the entire gentle Yellow Sea right here in Rizhao. Here, there's no hurried, rushed pace of tourism, only soft sandy beaches, refreshing sea breezes, breathtaking sunsets, and an abundance of affordable seafood. Spend your leisure time strolling along the beach, chasing the sunrise in the morning, experiencing the fun of beachcombing in the afternoon, and quietly admiring the romantic sunset in the evening. Savor authentic local delicacies in a bustling fishing village, and simply unwind on the tranquil coastline. This gentle, unassuming seaside town hides the most healing seaside slow life, enough to soothe all the anxieties and fatigue of daily life. A relaxing trip to Rizhao is sure to leave you with wonderful travel memories.

Ju State Ancient City | Don't believe the online hype, my honest thoughts after visiting — traveler post in Ju County

Ju State Ancient City | Don't believe the online hype, my honest thoughts after visiting

I saw many posts praising Ju State Ancient City as a rare, romantic ancient city in Shandong. It's funny to say, but at first, I told my friend it was "Lü State Ancient City." My friend corrected me, and I even looked it up. 😂 It turns out it's pronounced "Ju" (jǔ). Honestly, after visiting, it wasn't as stunning as the internet claims, but it's fine for a short, casual visit if you're in the area. The best part is that there's no admission fee, which is a real plus. 📍 Rizhao, Juxian | Ju State Ancient City You can enter directly; no reservation or ticket purchase required. 🚗 Travel tips Take the high-speed train to Juxian Station. From there, it's a 10-minute taxi ride to the ancient city. Driving is also convenient; there's a large free parking lot outside the ancient city, so parking isn't a hassle. I recommend arriving after 4:00 PM. The ancient city looks a bit plain during the day. It's best after sunset when the lights come on, so you can catch both the sunset and the night view. The lights turn off around 9:30 PM, so don't arrive too late, or you might miss it. The most impressive part of the ancient city is the Spring and Autumn Palace. The architecture is grand, and taking photos outside the palace is enough to get great shots; you don't necessarily need to go inside. If you're interested in history, you can go into the exhibition halls and take your time. The highlight of the night view is the Water Street area. Lanterns hang along the river, and the lights reflect on the water. With the small bridges and flowing water, it really has a bit of a Jiangnan vibe. It gets very crowded at night. If you want to take clean photos without many people, try ducking into the side alleys. Also, try not to set up your tripod on the main path along the river to avoid blocking other visitors. There are many shops along the main street, selling snacks and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts. To be honest, commercialization is unavoidable, and some snacks are a bit overpriced. You don't need to try every single one; just wander around and soak in the vibrant local atmosphere. ⚠️ There are mostly snack stalls inside the ancient city, with no proper sit-down restaurants. If you want a full meal, I suggest heading back into the county town after you're done. 💡 Practical tips for your visit Don't rush over at noon; without the lights, you might be disappointed. The Water Street is packed on weekends and holidays; if you prefer peace and quiet, try to visit during off-peak times. There aren't many restrooms in the ancient city; they are mainly concentrated around the main street and the Spring and Autumn Palace, so keep an eye out for them. It's autumn now and getting colder, with a big temperature difference between day and night. It's even chillier by the water at night, so be sure to bring a jacket so you don't get cold while enjoying the night view. Overall, come with realistic expectations. It's not a top-tier, stunning ancient city, but it's perfect for a short weekend trip if you're in the Shandong area—just right for a stroll and some night photography.

They are within walking distance of the beach, and there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets downstairs, so there is no need to stay in remote fishing villages. 🗺️ Itinerary Upon arrival, head to Wanpingkou Seaside Scenic Area. It has a free, large beach with gentle waves, perfect for kids to build sandcastles and splash in the water. There is also a free children's play area. In the afternoon, head to Taigong Island Oyster Park. Check the tide table for low tide to go beachcombing—kids will have a blast digging for oysters and catching small crabs with small buckets and shovels. In the evening, go to Lighthouse Square to watch the sunset. On the second day, visit the No. 3 Bathing Beach to see the seaside lights. In the afternoon, head to the Seaside Forest Park, which features vast forests and beaches for cycling and walking. On the third day, take it slow and explore Dongyi Town for snacks before heading home. 🦞 Food recommendations Steamed seafood pot, mackerel dumplings, and seafood rice. Also, try the local specialty, Juxian lamb soup. 💰 Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights for two adults and one child) Accommodation approx. CNY 450, dining CNY 550, transportation + miscellaneous expenses approx. CNY 480, totaling about CNY 1,480. City 2: Dongshan Island, Zhangzhou, Fujian | A jelly-blue, artistic island ✈️ Transportation guide Long-distance: Take the high-speed rail to Yunxiao Station. After exiting, take the tourist bus for CNY 15 to reach Tongling Town in 40 minutes. Carpooling costs about CNY 30 per person and is faster. Island transport: Rent an e-bike for CNY 50 per day for the most convenient way to get around the island. The old town area of Nanmen Bay is perfect for walking around. 🏨 Accommodation recommendations Homestays in Nanmen Bay, Tongling Town, with family rooms for CNY 200–280. If you want to walk straight to the beach, choose a sea-view apartment in Maluan Bay, where the gentle beach is right downstairs. 🗺️ Itinerary On the first day, arrive in Tongling Town and stroll through the colorful fishing village of Nanmen Bay. Overlook the bay from the rooftop of Wengong Temple. In the evening, head to Jinluan Bay's mirror-like beach to watch the stunning sunset and splash in the shallows to find small fish and shrimp. On the second day, take an e-bike around the island on the Sufeng Mountain coastal road. Stop at rocky beaches along the mountain-sea road to take photos. In the afternoon, head to Maluan Bay. This area has very gentle waves, making it very safe and suitable for kids to play in the water. On the third day, you can visit Aojiao Fishing Village to experience the fishing port lifestyle and buy some seafood specialties before heading home. 🦞 Food recommendations Maozai porridge, five-spice rolls, Xiaoxifu sweet soup, and fresh squid. Seafood stalls have clearly marked prices. Avoid the trendy shops along the street in Nanmen Bay; eating inside the old town is more budget-friendly. 💰 Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights for two adults and one child) Accommodation CNY 520, dining CNY 600, high-speed rail + island transport CNY 460, totaling about CNY 1,580. City 3: Shuangyue Bay, Huizhou, Guangdong | A family-friendly bay in the Pearl River Delta ✈️ Transportation guide Long-distance: Take the high-speed rail to Huidong Station. After exiting, carpool for 40 minutes to reach Shuangyue Bay. Island transport: You can take taxis in town, but the beach is far away, so renting an e-bike to go around the bay is recommended. 🏨 Accommodation recommendations Homestays in Pinghai Town with family sea-view rooms for CNY 220–300. Avoid the high-priced hotels in Kougang Bay during peak season. 🗺️ Itinerary On the first day, arrive and visit Turtle Bay. Tour the Sea Turtle Nature Museum, where kids can learn about various sea turtles. The seaside boardwalk is flat and stroller-friendly. In the evening, splash in the waves at Shuangyue Bay beach and take a walk by the sea to watch the sunset. On the second day, head to Xiaoxing Mountain Pier in the morning. You can play in the water by the pier without necessarily taking a boat out to sea. In the afternoon, enjoy free time digging in the sand on the beach. When the tide goes out, you can go beachcombing on the tidal flats to find hermit crabs. In the evening, explore the Kougang night market and eat seaside snacks. On the third day, you can go to Yanzhou Island to see the tidal flats and mangroves before heading home. 🦞 Food recommendations Sea urchin fried rice, ginger and scallion flower crab, and kiln-roasted chicken. Buy ingredients at the local seafood market and have them cooked at your homestay to save a lot on dining costs. 💰 Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights for two adults and one child) Accommodation CNY 560, dining CNY 620, transportation CNY 490, totaling about CNY 1,670. City 4: Beihai, Guangxi | A gentle coastal town in the south ✈️ Transportation guide Long-distance: High-speed rail directly to Beihai Station. Coastal attractions are not far from each other. 🏨 Accommodation recommendations Homestays near Silver Beach with family rooms for CNY 190–270. Do not stay on Weizhou Island; the ferry tickets to the island will increase your budget. Staying on the main island is enough. 🗺️ Itinerary On the first day, head to Silver Beach in the afternoon. It has a clean, wide beach with shallow water, perfect for kids to play in the sand and splash in the waves for a long time. Watch the sunset by the sea in the evening. In the evening, explore Qiaogang Style Street, which has tons of affordable seaside snacks. On the second day, head to Guantouling National Forest Park. It has a flat seaside trail, rocky beaches where you can collect seashells, and a seaside lighthouse. In the afternoon, you can go to the Beihai Old Street area to stroll through the arcade streets and taste local snacks. On the third day, visit the Underwater World to help kids learn about marine life before heading home. 🦞 Food recommendations Pork trotter noodles, oyster omelet, coconut jelly, and stir-fried clams. There are many affordable small shops in Qiaogang, so there is no need to go to high-end seafood restaurants. 💰 Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights for two adults and one child) Accommodation CNY 480, dining CNY 570, transportation CNY 510, totaling about CNY 1,560. 💡 Travel tips 1. The CNY 2,000 budget is for two adults and one child. Prioritize traveling on weekdays, as hotel prices rise on weekends, which will exceed the budget. 2. Bring your own sand-digging tools, a change of clothes, and sunscreen to the beach, as prices at tourist attractions are higher. 3. Try to go to local markets or food stalls in residential areas for seafood. Avoid the trendy shops at the entrance of tourist attractions to save a significant amount of money.

Niche temple blessing guide

You won't believe this! Looking at this mountain from afar, the hillside is packed with what look like crowds of people. It looks absolutely swarming with tourists, but when you get closer, you'll be stunned. They aren't tourists at all, but 500 Arhat stone statues built along the mountainside 🗿 From a distance, they look so dense it's as if the whole mountain is covered in people—it's so realistic it's almost an optical illusion. Once you walk into the mountain, it's quiet all around, with only the sound of the wind and birds. There are almost no tourists on the entire mountain, just rows of stone statues standing silently. 📍Location: Fulai Mountain, Rizhao, Shandong ✨Highlights ▪️Arhat Slope: The main photo spot. From a distance, it looks like a sea of people. It's incredibly atmospheric, quirky, and great for photos. ▪️Millennium-old Ginkgo Tree: Over 4,000 years old, it's stunningly golden in autumn. ▪️Dinglin Temple: A thousand-year-old temple with plenty of Zen atmosphere in its ancient architecture. ▪️The mountain isn't high, with an elevation of less than 300 meters. The trails are gentle, making it easy for both seniors and children to explore. 📸Photography Tips ▫️Take a long-distance shot of the entire hillside: Capture the illusion of "the mountain being full of people." ▫️Take close-up shots of the Arhat statues for a highly atmospheric feel. You can shoot in two styles: dark documentary or ancient Zen. 💡Practical Tips 1. It is recommended to go on a weekday morning when there are the fewest people, allowing for an immersive experience of the quiet mountain and Arhats. 2. There is a temple on the mountain, so please keep quiet and respect the cultural relics and stone statues. 3. Do not take unofficial paths; stick to the paved trails and stay safe. 4. The scenery is even more breathtaking during the ginkgo season in autumn.

Shandong Underground Grand Canyon

The underground canyon is quite beautiful. It's the first time I've seen a scenic area of this style, especially rare in the north. It's worth a visit. There's a lot of walking inside, the ticket price isn't cheap, and there's a separate charge for shuttle buses.

Mount Taishan

My second trip to Mount Tai, fulfilling my promise to the Eastern Peak once more. The first time, I was solely focused on reaching the summit, but this time I could leisurely appreciate the cliff carvings and ancient pines along the way, experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the ancient Fengshan ceremony. The Eighteen Bends remained precipitous, but climbing to the South Heaven Gate and Jade Emperor Peak, overlooking the continuous mountain range, I felt the grandeur of "Ascending to the summit, one can survey all the mountains below." The scenic area has excellent facilities; although the climb was tiring, the expansive view from the summit more than made up for the fatigue. It truly lives up to its reputation as the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains, and I will definitely come back.

Tsingtao Beer Museum

Seems like a must to visit based on reviews. Since it is at Qingdao. The experience was okay. The queue was insane though during my visit. However, it didn't take too long.

Laoshan Scenic Spot

Definitely a great experience. We took the cable car from yangkou and hike down. Tried the 618 bus to Taiqing. But the day went pass very quickly we do not have enough time to hike to tai ping gong. Hence we took a didi back to town. A gentle reminder that you need to purchase the sight seeing bus separately if you didn't purchase it at first. The hike and view was nice. The cave mitian is the highlight but it was very crowded during my trip. Need to queue inside the cave in order to pass. It is a 1 way road. Which wasn't exactly a good experience.

Baotu Spring

Finally, I saw Baotu Spring, which I'd read about in textbooks! The garden isn't large, but the ancient pavilions and weeping willows beside the clear spring are very pleasant. Seeing the three springs bubbling upwards with my own eyes was much more vivid than in the photos; the water was crystal clear, and koi carp swam leisurely. There's also a memorial hall for Li Qingzhao inside, and the atmosphere was quite nice as I strolled around. The main spring area was a bit crowded, so finding a quiet spot for photos was a challenge. An hour or so is enough to leisurely explore; it's definitely worth a visit when in Jinan.

Langya Ancient City

The hotel staff were all very friendly and the environment was fantastic. We could easily visit the old town countless times a day, making it especially suitable for families with children and elderly members. The value for money was excellent, especially the receptionists – a huge thumbs up! 👍 The shows in the old town were wonderful, especially the water show – don't miss it! I personally think it's even better than the National Show!
