At dusk, an old man selling sugar figurines stood by the square. His copper spoon moved with incredible agility, almost as if it had a life of its own. Golden strands of sugar flowed down his wrist, quickly solidifying into a lifelike monkey. He handed the figurine to a little girl in line. She licked it, her eyes squinting with sweetness. Nearby, the aroma of wheat wafted from a flatbread oven. The proprietress was using long chopsticks to turn the flatbreads in the oven, the sesame fragrance filling the air. An old woman was selecting ginger and garlic, haggling with the vendor as she chose. When they finally agreed on a price, both smiled, their wrinkles brimming with satisfaction. I bought a freshly baked flatbread, so hot it burned my left hand, then I switched to my right, took a bite… Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the savory flavor exploded on my tongue. After finishing my meal at the market entrance, watching people carrying full baskets of groceries home from work, their shadows long cast by the streetlights, I suddenly felt that this was the most genuine happiness. Travel allowed me to briefly immerse myself in the pulse of daily life, experiencing the warmth of another way of living. Those mundane details of daily life could be so poetic. As the last rays of sunset disappeared on the horizon, I walked home, patting my full stomach, my heart filled with the warmth of these everyday moments. These seemingly ordinary moments are actually the most authentic face of life, worthy of our heartfelt appreciation and cherishing.
