Wuma Street is a well-known high street in Wenzhou City. It is located in the south of Gucheng District, Wenzhou City, and starts from Jiefang South Road to the east, connects Chan Street to the West, with various shops along the street. It's named as Wuma because Wang Xizhi, a master Calligrapher, often rode a coach driven by five horses on the street when he was the chief of Yongjia (the ancient name of Wenzhou). Wuma Street maintains the architectural style with a combination of Chinese and Western elements after renovation, as well as an array of time-honored shops, such as Jinsanyi's Silk, Laoxiangshan Pharmacy and Wenzhou Hotel. Statues on the street are distinctive, and the design of buildings is western-style.
