Photos of The Guigu Cave

The Guigu Cave is located in the Tianmenshan National Forest Park of Zhangjiajie City. It is one of the 16 caves of Tianmen Mountain, suspended on a cliff on the west line of the peak of the mountain. The cave is named after the legend that the ancient philosopher Guiguzi once lived and practiced his skills in the cave. The entrance of the cave is of a square shape. Its location is extremely precipitous, rarely approached by visitors all the year round. The only way to get down is to descend by rope. Everything in the cave remains a mystery. The film crew of the CCTV program "Geographical China" once went deep into the Guigu Cave to explore its mysteries, and discovered there some small caves and a large number of undeveloped stalactites.
