AAnonymous UserStumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!
AAnonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.
GGod of travelI didn't really plan much for my spontaneous trip to Xiamen this time. First off, the hotel's location is excellent – right in the bustling center but still easy to find. Second, as soon as I arrived, staff members Xiao Huang and Xiao Chen were incredibly welcoming, with big, sweet smiles. They were so friendly and professional, offering great tips for my itinerary, attractions, and popular restaurants on the island. 👍👍👍☺️☺️
The hotel itself has a fantastic民國 (Republic of China era) style. Stepping inside felt like traveling back in time, with that historical atmosphere filling every corner… If you're a history buff, you'll love taking your time to explore and discover. 😳😳 Plus, every night you get to enjoy peanuts 🥜 prepared by the hotel – outside, they'd cost you 7-10 yuan a bowl! But I won't ramble on, I'm about to eat. 🫣🫶
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, if you love cats, you absolutely have to come and pet the little cat 🐱 by the hotel's entrance. And trying on the complimentary qipao (cheongsam) here, paired with the Republican era style, makes for amazing photos. I'm really satisfied and will definitely be back again.
JJinlingtaopaodeyueliang-The butler called the night before our arrival to ask about our arrival time and added us on WeChat in advance to tell us the location and recommended restaurants—so thoughtful! The receptionist was so kind! They even upgraded us to an executive suite for free! The neighborhood was very nice and quiet, the rooms were large and clean, and the hotel's location was very convenient for getting around. It was truly a fantastic trip to Pingtan!

GGuest UserThis was my first time visiting Xiamen with my mom, and the experience was fantastic! We were very satisfied with the hotel; the price exceeded our expectations, and the service was excellent. The staff were very gentle and kind.
Facilities: The room was fully equipped with everything we needed. The projector was large and the picture was clear. There was plenty of hot water, the sheets were clean, the room was spacious, and the facilities were all relatively new. The air conditioning was powerful and quiet.
Cleanliness: The room amenities were very clean, the towels were disinfected, and there were no other smells. I slept very soundly, getting my best night's sleep. The air conditioning was very strong.
Environment: It was very quiet outside the room; we didn't hear anyone talking all night. The soundproofing was excellent. There were many restaurants nearby; we had satay noodles for dinner.
Service: The staff were very gentle and helpful, providing us with helpful information.

SSaierweiyabaijuyiThe hotel is a small western-style building built more than 200 years ago. It is decorated in a retro style and is clean and hygienic. It is located in the center of Gulangyu Island. The surrounding is very quiet and close to the snack street. It is very convenient for shopping and eating, and it is not far from the tourist attractions. The hotel service is thoughtful and meticulous. Fruits were given and the breakfast was also very exquisite. The guy at the front desk gave road signs and locations before check-in, handed over hot tea when checking in, and helped with luggage. It was my birthday the day after check-in, and the hotel prepared longevity noodles for breakfast and gave me a birthday cake, which was a great surprise. Thanks to the two guys at the front desk for their hard work.
GGuest UserThe room I stayed in did not offer the river view that was advertised on the website. Instead, I could see the neighbors’ house through the window. It doesn't feel like a resort or hotel; rather, it more like a private house and
the owner living on the ground floor.
In the late evening around 10 P.M. and early morning at 7 A.M., I could hear children screaming loudly and people communicating, which might disturb those seeking a quiet environment.
I would not recommend this place for anyone who values tranquility. Having your own transportation would be ideal, as the bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away.
TTaffy4456I first heard about Linggan Hotel through an article by Teacher Maori and immediately bookmarked it as a great B&B. When I had the chance to travel to Xiamen during the off-season at the end of the year, I booked a king-size room at Linggan the day after I booked my flight.
I chose the Sanqiutian Pier for the ferry, as Baidu Maps showed it was closer to the B&B. After getting off the pier, it was just over a 10-minute walk to the property. The B&B has a rather large courtyard, and its location offers a peaceful retreat while being close to both Piano Pier and Longtou Road. My favorite spot was the small balcony seating at the end of the corridor; enjoying a cup of coffee from the downstairs cafe and soaking up the sun in the afternoon was simply delightful. The room decor was minimalist, but all essential amenities were provided, showing great attention to detail. The large bathtub even came with a perfectly sized liner. In the evening, playing some favorite music on the in-room Bose Bluetooth speaker was just perfect.
The breakfast on the second day was a set meal, very generous and delicious. You could choose to enjoy it in the cafe downstairs or in the outdoor garden. Both the auntie and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I hope the prices don't increase too much during peak season, as I truly want to come back again!
GGuest UserThe boss is basically responsive. He is one of the better B&B owners I have met so far. The B&B environment is also good. I only found out that this is a B&B street after I came here. It's quite fun.

GGuest UserThe room is large, simple and elegant, with a small courtyard with complete facilities. The whole is clean and tidy, and the holiday travel is very suitable. It is convenient to go out and take a taxi to order takeaway.
The boss is enthusiastic and hospitable, and will greet the guests to have tea and chat together. Unfortunately, our itinerary was too late and we sent us tea. I was afraid that I could not get a car when I went out at sunrise. The boss also helped me, because I couldn't wait for the breakfast at the hotel, the boss prepared bread in advance, very intimate!
In short, it was a very comfortable trip, I wish the boss a prosperous business!
