As an excellent tourist city, Xiamen attracts countless visitors daily, and its hotels are just as diverse. Some prefer sea-view rooms, others high-end star-rated hotels, and some even hidden gems in commercial areas, like the Qian Mansion. For travelers who appreciate historical architecture, staying at the Qian Mansion offers not only a chance to experience accommodation from the Republic of China era but also to learn about the historical and cultural significance of the mansion itself, which predates its current use as a hotel.
When I was originally booking a hotel, I fell in love with this old house the moment I saw its photos, so I decided to stay for two consecutive nights. Although the room's furnishings clearly show their age, the cleanliness, tidiness, and spaciousness made for a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff's warm service and prompt resolution of guest needs are truly commendable.
Getting from the hotel to中山路 (Zhongshan Road) Pedestrian Street is also very quick. Wandering through the streets and alleys along the way, you can catch glimpses of local Xiamen life, and with phone navigation, you'll reach Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in no time.
Due to my itinerary this trip, I didn't get to properly enjoy Xiamen's afternoon sun in the hotel's public lounge area. Missing out on sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee, and relaxing with a chat left me with a slight regret. Therefore, on my next visit to Xiamen, I will definitely choose to stay at the Qian Mansion again.

The neighborhood is really nice, with beautiful greenery and fresh air. It's a wonderful experience. The room was clean and the housekeeping service was excellent, perfect for a family trip. The only downside is that the soundproofing in the room wasn't great; even the slightest noise from outside was clearly audible.

Booked this for a friend, and after looking at several options, I still went with this one because the location is truly excellent. Besides Jimei, which requires a subway ride, you can reach all other places by bike. Of course, if you don't want to cycle, you can walk 200 meters to the main road and catch the tourist special line 29, haha. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and helpful with travel tips. Having a washing machine was also very convenient.

The hotel room is exactly how it looks on photos. It feels extremely clean, not many hotels I’d walk barefoot in, but this hotel made me feel comfortable doing so. The service is gold star, from arranging the pickup before I arrive to the interactions I had during my stay, the staff I interacted with are all super friendly and helpful. This hotel is situated in a small secluded area and you only hear birds chirping, it’s not too far from the attractions either. The bathroom is very well thought out and a luxury to enjoy.
I’d definitely stay here if I visit Wuyishan again.

The room is clean and tidy, and the wontons for breakfast are delicious! The B&B is located by the Chongyang River, and the walking and fitness trail is very convenient, which is very suitable for us to walk and walk the dog. It is less than ten minutes away from the Sangu Street Food Night Market. I recommend the smoked goose and special food at the Aliange headquarters. The boss is responsive and helped us book the performance tickets for the Good Impression Dahongpao a week in advance. The location is very good👌! She also warmly invited us to drink tea and chat, which was very warm at home. It was a comfortable and happy trip.

Stumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!

It was very wise to choose a B&B on Lin Island on the first day of May Day. This B&B is right here at Neicuo'ao Wharf. It is much quieter than Sanqiutian, and the environment is also better. Although the style of the small villa is not quite what I expected, it gives a very chill feeling overall. The B&B sister is also very enthusiastic and gave small gifts for check-in, which are some snacks from the island. They taste very good. It is very quiet to live here. I will recommend other friends to stay here in the future.

The service was excellent, and they even proactively upgraded my room. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, and the scenery is beautiful. I was very satisfied. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, and the cleanliness of the room is truly commendable. All the toiletries are disposable, including the toilet seat and bathtub cover. The bath towels are also disposable, and they disinfect the room. The value for money is incredible.

There are no bikes or electric scooters on the island, so you can only get around on foot. The pharmacy is on the commercial street, and the guesthouse provides iodine swabs. Although the first floor always has linen carts piled up, the building itself is beautiful and elegant, inheriting the Queensland colonial architectural style well. There's a washing machine on the rooftop, which I only discovered on the last day, but for some reason, the entire floor was covered in soap suds. The simple breakfast is enough to fill you up, and you can ask for more if needed, which helps reduce food waste. The guesthouse has strollers available; I suggest parents using unofficial alternatives take advantage of theirs. We used a luggage cart as a stroller, and our child ended up with a bump. The pharmacy is on the commercial street, and the guesthouse provides iodine swabs. The shower head is quite heavy, and they use Sooky toothpaste, which is a nice touch. The toothbrushes are also rare, featuring an anti-slip design.

RRichard LeafeThis is a lovely homestay in a newly built mountain town. Mr Jiang and his wife, teacher Wu, welcomed me into their home and made sure that I had a wonderful experience. Their home is beautiful, clean and tidy. It has a large open plan living area with a large dining table, sofas, a table for serving tea and a pool table, all of which you can make use of. They have a lovely garden and views across a small lake and over mountains covered in trees. The fresh mountain air is rejuvenating. They also have a cute little puppy. The villa is just over the mountain from Xiamen in the first town you get to, and just beyond the town there is a traditional rural village and a reservoir that are worth checking out. The town in which the villa is located is very quiet so don't expect to be able to go to any restaurants, but the hosts will help you order takeaway. The hosts speak English, and took me out with them to look at the stars and the night views, and in the morning made me a simple but satisfying breakfast. I hope to go back to see them again!

LlauatkWe were initially staying in an Elegant Room but decided we wanted to stay another night on the island so booked a Superior room for the additional night. This room was a lot larger, and was really charming. There was plenty of space for our baggage. It was on the first floor but the staff carried our bags up the stairs. The room was very comfortable and clean, and we were given welcome fruit and a delicious afternoon tea. We had no problems with the walk back to SanQiuTian pier (about 12 mins). We were very happy with our stay and would stay again!
JjcisimpossibleThe location is a bit of a distance from the pier; it was about a fifteen-minute walk, especially with luggage. The staff member who assisted me was very helpful, even carrying my luggage upstairs to the second floor.
The entire courtyard is exceptionally well-designed and stylish, with many beautiful nooks and crannies where I took a lot of photos.
The only letdown was that at night, the duvet inexplicably had quite a few bugs. I initially squashed a few, thinking I could just put up with it, but then discovered even more crawling – it was truly a nightmare. I had no option but to call the staff in the middle of the night to come replace the duvet insert, cover, and sheets. I felt terrible for putting them through that.
Ee00662940The room is the same as the picture. It is in the villa area. The environment is very good. It is good to park by car. The breakfast is delicious. The boss and the proprietress are very good, responsive, and they can help them very well if they don’t understand. The recommended fun and delicious ones can be assured to go boldly. They are authentic and affordable. Guests who are very helpful can also be discounted. The room is quite empty, the children are very happy, the boss is also very enthusiastic, you can drink tea and chat in the hall, relieve the fatigue of the day, I like the old cockroach given by the boss, and took some away when I left, that is, the itinerary is too short, Wuyishan is very good, next time I come to live here
GGuest UserOverall, this is a very good hotel. The location is a little hidden. There is a small door with vines planted on it. Cats often lie at the door. There is a courtyard at the entrance, which is also full of greenery. The sister at the front desk was very warm and gentle, and gave us a map of Gulangyu Island and meal coupons.
The room is quite spacious. I live on the first floor. The environment is quite quiet. There is mosquito repellent on the table. The bathroom has a bathtub, disposable toiletries, disposable bath towels and toilet mats.
The next morning, the front desk sister prepared breakfast for us~
Let me talk about some things that I am not satisfied with: there are unknown small bugs on the bed and oil stains at the end of the quilt. But for this price, I think it is acceptable.
Everything else was fine. I stayed there at the end of May and there weren't many people on the island. It had rained two days before and the sky was clear. I took a walk on the beach in the evening and came back to buy some food at the snack street. The cool breeze was very comfortable.

MM560741****This time I chose Yuwu Homestead because the location is more convenient. The proprietress helped to set the impression that the Dahongpao ticket is cheaper than buying it. The location is also very good. The service of the young lady is very good, the bedding in the room is very clean, the hotel's standard homestay feels very kind, the tea room on the first floor can make tea every day, we also bought some to take back. It is about 7 yuan to take a taxi from the south entrance of the scenic spot. It is also convenient to take the bus. It is only one kilometer walk from Sangu Street. Wuyishan North Station come over and take the 9 bus for 40 minutes or the hotel has a paid pick-up and drop-off for 50 yuan.
