Old timber palace gate
Hamaguri Gomon Gate was an old timber gate leading to the Imperial Palace of Kyoto. Worth to see the simple decoration thereat prior to entering the palace.
One of Many Entrance Gates But Not The Most Impresive
This is a very nice gate into the Imperial Palace Complex but it's one of many as far as I can see and a few of them are a lot more impressive and decorative. As another reviewer says I'm not sure why...
Not a special gate
It really looks nice, but so do the other gates that are part of the palace. So I don't know why this one has to be on trip advisor specifically.
It is not the main
The door is very beautiful and is one of the four doors that has the complex of the Imperial Palace of Kyoto. If they come through the Karamasuma Dori, you will be right to enter there. Otherwise, more is right the princ...
I think it's the most famous.
