Maotai Ferry

The Monument of Maotai Ferry is located on the banks of the Chishui River in Maotai Town. The monument is built on the shore and can be reached along the stone steps. This is the main ferry of the third crossing of the Red Army's "Four Ferry Chishui". In March 1935, the main Red Army occupied Maotai in the early morning of the 16th, and at 10 a.m., the floating bridge was built at Zhongdukou, Xiadukou and Yintan. From the afternoon to the 17th, the Red Army triumphed over the Chishui River.

Maotai Ferry is located in the middle reaches of the Chishui River. In the present-day Maotai Town, Renhuai City, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, it is one of the important ferry crossings on the Chishui River. In the past, Sichuan salt entered the river, and the main ferry crossing was Maotai Ferry. The third ferry crossing of Chishui, the third major ferry crossing of the Red Army Long March, More than 10 kilometers from the upper reaches of Maotai Ferry, there is another place called Dadu Ferry, which was also one of the ferry crossings in Chishui at the time.
