Discovered on the way from Osaka to Mt. Koya. It looked quite big, so I stopped by thinking that this was the tomb of Emperor Nintoku. Looking at the map, it is Nisanzai Kofun. The place where the guardrail is a haniwa is cute. I saw it from Goryoyama Park, but I don't understand it, it would be interesting if I could fly the drone. This rental car was Yaris, which was a pretty good run.
Tomb length 300. 3 M It is the seventh largest tumulus in Japan (the third largest in the Mokutori tumulus group), and I rented a bicycle around the bank around the tumulus and felt the size of the tumulus. It is the newest front and rear burial mound in the Momokutori Kofun Group built in the latter half of the 5th century. If you go from Momokutori Station by bicycle in the direction of Fudai, you will find it in a residential area.
It is one of the Momotokotori Furuichi tumulus clusters registered as a World Heritage Site this year. It is located in a residential area near Osaka Prefectural University. It's quite big, so it doesn't look like a front and rear burial mound.
Beautiful Spot!
Nisanzai Kofun / ニサンザイ古墳 Beautiful Spot! There are details in the official website. I recommend you to have a look.
Just a Bus Ride Away from JR Mozu Station
If you visit Daisenryo Ancient Tomb, Haze Nisanzai Burial Mound is just a bus ride away. And also the mound is very close to a bus stop.
