A Life-Saving Stay with Breathtaking Views!” My stay at **Tibet Hostel** was absolutely incredible—thanks to the **kind and attentive staff** named xu mu the manager who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. As someone sensitive to high altitude, their **nasal oxygen supply** was a *literal lifesaver*, helping me adjust comfortably. The **morning breakfast** was a delightful experience, with fresh ******* bread, warm tea, and eggs served with a **panoramic mountain view** that made every meal unforgettable. The hostel even **customized my food** to accommodate dietary preferences—a rare and thoughtful touch! I was especially grateful for their **willingness to fulfill special requests**. When I asked for a room with the famous **”Potato Field View”** (a charming landscape of terraced fields), they happily arranged it without hesitation. The room was clean, cozy, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the scenery. What truly stood out was their **dedication to foreign guests**—whether explaining local customs, helping with travel plans, or simply sharing stories over tea. The atmosphere was **both peaceful and social**, making it easy to connect with fellow travelers. If you're visiting Tibet, **this hostel is a must-stay**—comfort, care, and stunning views all in one! **10/10 experience.** -

Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!

Absolutely super five-star service experience👍👍👍From the Hada and ******* clothing experience at the hotel, parents forget the discomfort caused by altitude sickness. Manager Li of the hotel arranged the airport drop-off and butler service very carefully. There is an oxygen concentrator in the room. It is recommended that you book or consult the chartered car tour to Basongcuo and Yarlung Zangbo River directly at the hotel. The cost-effectiveness is high, and the vehicle is very clean and spacious. The handmade incense making experience class of Teacher Zhao and Sister Ram allows adults and children to calm down and feel the local customs and customs, and very patiently satisfies the children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge. The afternoon tea in the hotel lobby bar must be experienced, and the breakfast is very rich. The Yajiang fish, ******* incense pork chops, and stone pot chicken at Linzhi Banquet on the first floor must be tried. Basically, we have three meals in the hotel restaurant. Teacher Zhao also personally sent us our own ******* incense as a souvenir, and the children were very excited. When we left, Manager Li drove us to the airport in person. There are many five-star hotels with good service, but there are definitely not many five-star hotels that provide such meticulous service throughout the journey!

Arriving at the first stop in Tibet, I originally booked only one day because I didn't plan the trip in advance. I was really surprised after checking in. The facilities are complete, the rooms are very clean and tidy, and there are terraces on the third and fourth floors, where you can see the snow-capped mountains and the Potala Palace. The breakfast is said to be prepared by a Nepalese lady. It is very rich and full. Haha. Then I stayed for three consecutive nights. Every staff member was very warm and thoughtful. Because we had a little altitude sickness, they also provided us with medicine. They also gave us souvenirs before departure. We talked a lot about free time. One sister also showed us the vegetables she grew on the balcony, as well as strawberries. Haha, you can see that they are all people who love life. I am really happy to meet them. Maybe this is the meaning of travel. The trip to Tibet was finally achieved, but this time the time was limited and there was no advance planning. There were many places that I didn't have the opportunity to go. I will definitely come again next time~~~~

The hotel was newly renovated. Manager Wangjiu was very welcoming and even upgraded our room. The room was spacious and quiet, with oxygen supply. We went to Sakya the next day because we had a good night's rest and it wasn't tiring. This was my first time staying at a Hilton hotel this year; I'd always stayed at other hotels, and it was quite good.

This is the smartest hotel we stayed in from Chengdu to Zuogong. There is no need to use room cards to scan faces to enter the room. All devices are controlled by voice. The room is equipped with a massage chair, which relieves the fatigue of the journey from Batang to Zuogong. The room is clean and tidy, and is equipped with two wireless charging stations. The only drawback is that the laundry room is a bit cold. Maybe there are fewer waiters working during the Spring Festival. The three young ladies at the front desk are very enthusiastic and have a good attitude. My husband has a little altitude sickness, and the young man helped with the luggage. He also prepared snacks when I went out in the morning. It was very thoughtful. If I come to Zuogong next time, I will choose to stay here again.

The service is the worst of all hotels where we have stayed worldwide. It is worse than even any 1-star rated hotel in China. Right from the entry, the check in is chaotic. No one attends to luggage. It takes 2 hours to do formalities and return passports. In Room dining, the order is a huge challenge. They take 2 hours to take order and deliver the food after 1 hour, when they serve only the food in a plate. No seperate dishes or any cutliaries (spoon or fork or chopsticks ... nothing provided). When you point these out, they say sorry and take another 1 hour to bring plates, chop sticks etc. BY now 5 hours passed and food is so cold and not eatable. This is a regular scenario ... repeated 3 times, I.e. everything we placed an order. It's a huge challenge. On amenities, the beds are extremely uncomfortable. If you just take a turn while sleeping, the other person is sure to wake up. They call king size bed .. it's two seperate beds kept side by side with cheap quality spring mattress. On breakfast, it's very limited and every day same menu. No varieties, the food taste is horrible as well. Extremely bad experience.for the price that is paid. The feeling has been a complete waste of money, sleepless nights, staying hugry and waiting for food post order for 5.hours every time we ordered room dining. The same situation in restaurent as well.

I was deeply impressed by this hotel. Although the price is a little higher, its services and facilities are worth the money. The room is very spacious and bright, and the furniture is very exquisite. The hotel also provides a lot of free services, such as Wi-Fi, gym and swimming pool. In addition, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, close to the airport and the city. In short, I am very satisfied with my stay here this time.

Shangri-La Hotel, Lhasa, stands as one of the world's highest-altitude Shangri-La properties. Its unique location and professional oxygen supply service make it a top-tier accommodation choice for visitors to Lhasa. Room Selection: If you're set on a Potala Palace view, make sure to specifically book a 'Potala Palace View Room.' The hotel's rooftop terrace is also a great spot for scenic views. High Altitude Sickness Management: All guest rooms are equipped with oxygen concentrators, and the 'Oxygen Bar' on the first floor is also very practical. For those new to high altitudes, it's recommended to make full use of these facilities, avoid strenuous exercise, and allow your body time to adjust. Most importantly, there's a medical clinic on the basement level with doctors available for check-ups – thumbs up! 👍

The hotel faces Mount Nanga Bawa, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow you to enjoy the ever-changing beauty of Mount Nanga Bawa while drinking tea and taking a rest in the room. It is really wonderful to have a close conversation with the father of the snow mountain! The rooftop viewing restaurant is also a good place to check in. The snow-capped mountains in the distance, the peach blossoms and barley nearby, and the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon form a beautiful picture. If you are lucky, you can also enjoy the wonders of the golden mountain in the sun.

GGuest UserUpon entering the hotel, staff immediately offered us Rhodiola tea, which is said to help alleviate altitude sickness. The hotel breakfast was exceptionally plentiful, featuring *******, Chinese, and Western options. There's also a cafe on the first floor that offers a wide variety of meals. A self-service laundry room is conveniently located on the 4th floor, equipped with detergent, hangers, and dryers – a real plus for travelers. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service, providing free drop-offs to city attractions such as Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and Norbulingka. Additionally, they offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off services for the train station and the airport bus station. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, attending to virtually all our requests. We are very grateful to everyone who assisted us during our stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Lhasa!

GGuest UserThe building is very distinctive and the environment is good. It is very close to Barkhor Street, which is very convenient for shopping. The service attitude is very good. The girl from Ci Ta is very enthusiastic and helped to carry the suitcase to the second floor; the boy Zhaba helped to check out in the morning, stored the luggage for free and helped to open the door of the hotel. A pleasant accommodation experience.

LLvlingfan007The room was spotless, and the view of the Potala Palace from here was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is perfectly situated right behind and to the right of the Potala Palace, making my windowsill my 'personal viewing platform': At midday, wisps of clouds drifted across its white walls and golden roofs, as if a breathing quilt was draped over the ancient palace; In the evening, the setting sun painted the Red Palace a honeyed hue, and as prayer flags fluttered in the wind, they seemed like countless hands applauding it; The moment the night lights came on, the entire palace suddenly 'came alive' – like an ancient ship moored in the darkness, carrying the stories of the Tubo Dynasty, slowly sailing towards the myriad lights of modern Lhasa. The complimentary biscuits were delicious, and the other snacks were great too! The butler and front desk service were warm and attentive. I arrived close to 2 PM, having not yet eaten, and the small eatery they recommended – the third shop after turning right from the hotel – was absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and hygienic. The breakfast is good, with rich variety and spacious environment. The bedding is very comfortable, clean and has no smell of smoke. Oxygen is available 24 hours in the lobby, and hot drinks are welcome - Rhodiola in the lobby: I have not experienced these two. Coke and Wanglaoji are free in the room. It is worth noting that not all rooms have oxygen, and you need to book a ”room supply” room. The hotel restaurant is also OK. The portion is large and the taste is good, suitable for those who don't want to walk out.
