GGuest UserAs expected from a St. Regis, the location is excellent, very close to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. They have an independent underground parking garage with both slow and fast charging stations, which is incredibly important! The butler upgraded us to a beautiful, spacious suite, and the complimentary yak yogurt was delicious. The oxygen concentrator in the room was powerful and worked very well. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Ruth's service was exceptional. The drinks at the terrace bar were also great, and you can enjoy the night view of Potala Palace. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

AAichitangdemiaoxiaohaiMy partner and I came to Lhasa and after a lot of searching, we finally settled on this hotel. Upon checking in, it completely exceeded our expectations! Through the large glass windows, the Potala Palace was right there, incredibly stunning and breathtaking! My partner suffered severe altitude sickness, and the hotel even provided medical oxygen. The next day, I had a reservation to visit the Potala Palace, but my partner couldn't go due to the altitude sickness. It was also close to checkout time, but the hotel thoughtfully arranged another room for us and extended our checkout by two hours, allowing us to perfectly complete our Lhasa trip! The service at this hotel is excellent, and the location is fantastic. If I have the chance to come to Lhasa again, I will definitely book this hotel!

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos.
The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea.
The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard.
Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

AAnonymous UserDuring my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa, I met a true guardian who brightened my trip with his sincerity and professionalism – our butler, Robert Xiang Hongwei. With every proactive greeting and meticulous action, he transformed the phrase “feeling at home” into a heartwarming reality. The best service is when guests forget they are being “served.” With Robert, I witnessed the pinnacle of hotel service: not making guests feel deliberately “cared for,” but rather, through natural kindness, having every need met silently. His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard.

GGuest UserSince our rental car couldn't be dropped off at the airport, we urgently contacted the hotel for an airport pick-up before our flight. To our surprise, it was a Lexus! The driver was already waiting for us at the airport and warmly presented us with a Hada (a traditional ******* scarf). The hotel itself has a very distinct ******* character, and you can see mountain views from across the street. Our room number was also super charming! They provide medical-grade Yuyue oxygen concentrators, which were very effective in alleviating altitude sickness on our first day. After a good night's sleep, my headache was gone the next morning. Breakfast was plentiful, featuring ******* noodles, sweet tea, yak butter tea, and tsampa. The staff patiently taught our child how to prepare them. There were also quite a few foreign guests staying at the hotel. I highly recommend it! Additionally, there's a Northeast Chinese restaurant (now converted into a bar) nearby that's very authentic; we ended up eating there two nights in a row.

The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback).
The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street.
The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city.

GGuest UserThis was my first trip to Tibet, and after a lot of research, I chose the Hilton. Manager Ava contacted me in advance to reserve a parking spot and upgraded my room. The garden-facing room was very comfortable. The breakfast restaurant even offered Rhodiola rosea (a local herb). The hotel's location is quite good; I walked around the area and it seems to be right in the city center. It's also super convenient to get to the temples, just about a ten-minute drive.

It's in a prime location, right next to a pedestrian street, and just a 5-minute walk to the Potala Palace, close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The hotel is very new, with a sophisticated and elegant decor that blends ******* elements. The rooms are spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, with diffused oxygen supply and humidifiers throughout – a godsend for those worried about altitude sickness. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation and even a Dyson hairdryer, showing great attention to detail. The 6th-floor rooftop restaurant offers a prime viewing spot, and seeing the golden roof of the Potala Palace in the morning and evening is breathtaking. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, offering Hada scarves and complimentary room upgrades. The breakfast is delicious. New facilities, excellent service, and an unbeatable location – definitely the top choice for accommodation in Lhasa!
