GGuest UserThe hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a lobby that truly captures the local essence and boasts a fantastic design. After checking in, I honestly just wanted to stay in and not even go out! Riri at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful. Since I arrived on an early flight before check-in time, she upgraded my room so I could settle in smoothly. A butler delivered my luggage to the room and even asked if the temperature was comfortable and if I needed the oxygen machine turned on! The room was very cozy. After resting for a bit, I went out to explore, and later at 9 PM, I watched the Potala Palace and the sunset from the Tubo Bar on the 6th floor. When I returned, fresh fruit and yogurt were already waiting on the table! I couldn't stay longer as I was heading to Ngari, but I'll definitely be back to stay here for a couple more days!

TTONYLITAOHighly recommend! The hotel's location is superb, with the room window directly facing the side of Potala Palace. You can virtually 'check in' at the attraction right from your room. The restaurant is even better, with huge windows offering unobstructed views, perfect for a lovely breakfast and a scenic dinner. The fridge has complimentary drinks. Jokhang Temple is just a few minutes' walk away, and Potala Palace isn't far to walk either. Grabbing a rickshaw is incredibly convenient. No wonder it's a popular 'influencer hotel' – once you've been, you'll never forget it…

GGuest UserThis hotel is steeped in history! It's the former site of the Nepalese Consulate, a 400-year-old ancient building that now houses the Gesar Gyalpo Museum. Guests get free entry, offering an immersive experience of ******* culture. Plus, your photos will naturally have a vintage filter. And the courtyard? The atmosphere is simply divine, a photographer's dream! The courtyard's ambiance is incredible! With blue skies, white clouds, and beautifully carved beams and painted pillars, every photo you take looks amazing. Relax in the courtyard and order a sweet tea, juice, or coffee to enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea. Paired with authentic yak yogurt and cheese dregs, your taste buds will experience the unique flavors of the plateau. 🎁 Must-Enjoy Guest Perks: ✅ Free ******* attire experience (10:30-22:30), can be worn out to explore the ancient city. ✅ 10 complimentary retouched photos from a courtyard photoshoot (makeup and styling at your own expense). ✅ Free entry to the Gesar Gyalpo Museum. ✅ High-altitude amenity gift pack in your room: face masks, hair essential oil, makeup remover wipes, wet wipes. ✅ Free sweet tea in the courtyard. 📍 Prime Location: Right on the Barkhor Street Kora (pilgrim's circuit), just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple. Super convenient for getting around. It's incredibly photogenic, perfect for transition video check-ins, the service is thoughtful, and the experience is top-notch. If you're coming to Lhasa, this is the place to choose!

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel from June 5-7 2026. The official check in time is listed at 2 pm. They did not give me access to my room until after 4 pm. Furthermore, laundry is listed as included service and they said their facility was not working and had to send it somewhere else. They charged me a hefty fee. I believe it’s a misnomer for this hotel to call themselves “international” This hotel really only caters to Chinese speaking populations, which is fine and the typical situation in Lhasa, but to be more accurate, the hotel shouldn’t make the claim “international.” That would typically imply better more comprehensive services for people outside of one population and nationality. This hotel is listed as 5 stars in Lhasa. I have traveled to many countries and stayed in many 5 star hotels. According to my experience, this hotel doesn’t measure up to a 5 star standard. Perhaps it did in the past. 5 star hotels typically have much better restaurants and dining options. The room was clean and I had a nice view.

XXiaojingerdegushiMany people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: The oxygen concentrators are incredibly professional, all from Yuwell, which is a huge plus. Hygiene: Excellent. Ambiance: Beautiful Tibetan-style decor. We didn't even want to go out; just taking photos around the hotel was lovely. Service: Superb! Everyone was so friendly, soft-spoken, enthusiastic, and attentive. My whole family was very satisfied. My child even said that next time we come to Lhasa, we absolutely must stay at this hotel again.

Strongly recommending this hotel, especially if you are looking for a comfortable stay and easy travel to tourist destinations. We also recommend the Indian food downstairs as it was delicious. GGuest UserOn the evening of April 30th, after completing the Kora and on my way back, I stayed at the Hilton Shigatse once again. Manager Wangjiu Basang warmly and efficiently handled my check-in. The next morning, I flew from Shigatse Heping Airport to Shenzhen, with a layover in Chengdu. It wasn't until I was unpacking my luggage at home that I realized I had left my phone charger in the hotel room. With a 'nothing to lose' attitude, I contacted Manager Wangjiu Basang. He immediately assured me not to worry and said he would look for it right away. Soon enough, the charger was found, and it has already been returned to me via SF Express. Although it's a small matter, Manager Wangjiu Basang's professional and responsible work attitude is truly commendable!

GGuest UserWingate by Wyndham is absolutely amazing! It's in a prime location, right next to a pedestrian street, and just a 5-minute walk to the Potala Palace, close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The hotel is very new, with a sophisticated and elegant decor that blends ******* elements. The rooms are spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, with diffused oxygen supply and humidifiers throughout – a godsend for those worried about altitude sickness. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation and even a Dyson hairdryer, showing great attention to detail. The 6th-floor rooftop restaurant offers a prime viewing spot, and seeing the golden roof of the Potala Palace in the morning and evening is breathtaking. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, offering Hada scarves and complimentary room upgrades. The breakfast is delicious. New facilities, excellent service, and an unbeatable location – definitely the top choice for accommodation in Lhasa!

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard.
