This hotel exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our 8-year-old daughter, we were provided with a triple room. Its location is exceptionally convenient, with a dedicated walkway connecting directly to Okayama Station. The room itself was very spacious. We would have loved to try the breakfast, but as we had an early train to Takamatsu the next morning, we couldn't book it. From the smooth check-in process, it was clear this was a well-established, high-star hotel that truly prides itself on its standards.
This is a special hotel!
Because it is a tourist attraction!
So the location is first-rate, close to the entire tourist area, and within walking distance to Kurashiki Train Station. It takes less than 10 minutes by taxi with luggage.
The room was newly renovated and everything was good, except that it was a twin room and the room was a bit narrow, so it felt very cramped to move around and put luggage. But the toilet, washbasin, bathroom, space is very spacious, there is wifi but there is no Youtube, Netflix on the TV, don't be misled by the remote control.
Another type of king-size bed room is the one where the washbasin and bathroom are connected together, but the room feels larger and is more convenient.
The breakfast is very rich and the food is of high quality. I recommend the milk and hand-made tofu.
Did not have dinner in the hotel, so cannot comment on that.
Also, this is a really large public bath, with a sento feel, not a hot spring.
It is very suitable for those who like slow-paced sightseeing in this area.
The room is good view and they provide eyes hot pad for when you sleep to using. Even I stayed one night, they gave me a bottle of water. Pls mark it: they don't have water at room, but you can use ice~
The room wasn't big; you could only unfold one piece of luggage, but the bed was very comfortable, which was great. It's very close to Okayama Station, and the surrounding area is very lively, with convenient access to food, drinks, and entertainment. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time.
I had a pleasant 1-night stay at Hotel Abest Grande Okayama. The location was convenient, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was well-maintained and provided everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a good choice, and I would stay here again.
The room was clean and tidy, although the lock system and other features seemed a bit outdated. However, while many hotels these days do not provide coffee in the rooms (either stick coffee or simple drip coffee), but instead provide coffee servers in the lobby, the hotel did not have either of these, so I was disappointed that I couldn't drink hot coffee.
It is a bit far from the station (taxi 2300 yen), and the terrain is slightly higher, so you can see Okayama Castle in the distance. Very quiet, the room is spacious and clean, and there is a public open-air bath (paid). Typical wedding/conference hotel. Breakfast was until 10:00, and when we arrived at the restaurant at 9:15, there was not much food left. When I was leaving, I bought a Bizen-yaki Momotaro at the front desk. Since each Bizen-yaki is different, I asked to pick one from two, but was refused. ...Being very polite and well-behaved does not mean having a service spirit.
I had dinner, breakfast and delicious.
It's a little far from the place where Yugo Onsen day trip facilities are located, but I was planning to relax at the hotel, so the correct answer is here. I slowly put it in the hot spring. The open-air bath was also good.
The scenery is so beautiful, very comfortable and first-class service! The proprietress and the driver staff are kind and friendly! If you buy a jrpass, you can make an appointment to pick up and drop off. It’s free at Kurayoshi Station and highway tolls at Tsuyama Station, but it’s worth it. Time is money. I gave a small gift before I finally left, looking forward to going again next time!

Great
Service at the counter is nice. Room is also very cleaned and comfortable. Not to mention that the location is convenient.
5 starts hotel, staff are helpful and welcomed. The location is very good, near the train station, aeon mall and big camera is within 5 mins walkable distance. The hotel is aged but well maintained. They provide parking at the basement of the hotel. We had a good stay there.
The check-in process was smooth. The hotel agreed to hold our luggage before check-in and after check-out. Staff was proficient in English and was very helpful and polite. The rooms were also very clean and quite spacious. Would definitely book here again!
The hotel is on the mountain with a very good view. You can overlook the Seto Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea, and you can also see a beautiful sunset. The facilities are not very new, but clean and tidy. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to Kojima Station. Ctrip customer service is also very good. They helped me book the shuttle bus time with the hotel. It is very convenient overall. Overall, it is highly recommended and worth a special trip.
Probably one of the best stay i had this year. Well located and close to the central attractions. All the staff are lovely and drinks are nice. But the duplex room is definitely the best.
I loved this hotel. It has some retro vibes, but it's not like old and worn out - it's old and cozy. The japanese breakfast is nice. Hotel staff is friendly. Location, 5 mins from the station is super-duper convenient. Overall i miss not staying there for a second night.
Affordable place with short walk to the train station. Room is very big for Japan budget hotel standards. Hotel is not the newest but it has everything you need. Toilet feels new and room is clean. The included breakfast is sufficient and you will be satisfied if you don’t expect too much.
Although the furniture was a bit old, the room was exceptionally clean, including the bathroom facilities, and the linens were spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. The amenities were impressive, including a razor, hairbrush, toothbrush, and shower cap, plus a POLA skincare set (toner, emulsion, facial pack, cleansing oil, and facial wash). The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were also POLA and felt great to use. Another plus was the strong water pressure from both the shower and bath faucets. My only minor issues were that the separate hot and cold handles in the bath made it difficult for a toddler to adjust the water temperature, and despite a warning about the window opening wide, there were no safety measures in place to prevent it from doing so. As I was traveling with a small child, this was a bit concerning. Nevertheless, the room offered a fantastic view of Okayama's city lights at night, including the illuminated Okayama Castle. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Given its convenience for visiting family, I would definitely consider returning once the safety concerns are addressed or when my child is older.
