This hotel exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our 8-year-old daughter, we were provided with a triple room. Its location is exceptionally convenient, with a dedicated walkway connecting directly to Okayama Station. The room itself was very spacious. We would have loved to try the breakfast, but as we had an early train to Takamatsu the next morning, we couldn't book it. From the smooth check-in process, it was clear this was a well-established, high-star hotel that truly prides itself on its standards.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from Kurashiki Station, and navigating the cobblestone paths through the scenic area can be quite tiring with luggage. On our return, we had the hotel arrange a taxi, which cost 1200 JPY. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and its location right in the Bikan Historical Quarter makes shopping incredibly convenient. Rooms are clean and quite modern. Just be aware that if you select the 'Do Not Disturb' option, towels will not be replaced. The breakfast restaurant offers an elegant setting, primarily serving Japanese cuisine, and you can even take coffee to go after your meal. Overall, it's a very high-quality hotel.

The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?

Location: Excellent! It's super convenient – just exit the west gate of the train station, cross the road, and go through a passage. There are tons of food options nearby; a bustling snack street is right across the road. Shopping is incredibly convenient too, not to mention the mall attached to the station itself. You've got Matsumoto Kiyoshi downstairs, Don Quijote across the street, and Takashimaya. Facilities: The onsen (hot springs) alternate between male and female baths daily. One bath has an outdoor pool, while the other doesn't, but overall, the experience is still great. Service: Each day, you get a complimentary drink or alcoholic beverage at the front desk.

The room was clean and tidy, although the lock system and other features seemed a bit outdated. However, while many hotels these days do not provide coffee in the rooms (either stick coffee or simple drip coffee), but instead provide coffee servers in the lobby, the hotel did not have either of these, so I was disappointed that I couldn't drink hot coffee.

It is a bit far from the station (taxi 2300 yen), and the terrain is slightly higher, so you can see Okayama Castle in the distance. Very quiet, the room is spacious and clean, and there is a public open-air bath (paid). Typical wedding/conference hotel. Breakfast was until 10:00, and when we arrived at the restaurant at 9:15, there was not much food left. When I was leaving, I bought a Bizen-yaki Momotaro at the front desk. Since each Bizen-yaki is different, I asked to pick one from two, but was refused. ...Being very polite and well-behaved does not mean having a service spirit.

I had dinner, breakfast and delicious. It's a little far from the place where Yugo Onsen day trip facilities are located, but I was planning to relax at the hotel, so the correct answer is here. I slowly put it in the hot spring. The open-air bath was also good.

The scenery is so beautiful, very comfortable and first-class service! The proprietress and the driver staff are kind and friendly! If you buy a jrpass, you can make an appointment to pick up and drop off. It’s free at Kurayoshi Station and highway tolls at Tsuyama Station, but it’s worth it. Time is money. I gave a small gift before I finally left, looking forward to going again next time!

YYACHOOIt is near the Kurasaki Bikan Historical Quarter, so it is good for exploring the Bikan Historical Quarter, but it is a bit far from Kurasaki Station, so it takes about 15 minutes on foot. It is old, but well-maintained, and the breakfast is delicious, although it does not have many varieties. It is a decent hotel for a one-day stay.

BBoscoayThe location is quite remote; you won't find convenience stores or similar amenities nearby for late-night errands. It's best suited for those driving, and only really convenient if it's already on your planned route. The views are excellent, offering a wide, panoramic bridge view. It appears most, if not all, rooms face the same direction, guaranteeing this bridge view. The onsen was decent, though the outdoor bath could have been warmer. Breakfast was superb – definitely make sure to add it to your booking!

WWoailvxingdianyingyinyueyueduThe Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is a bit like the Jiangnan water towns of China, with its fresh and artistic atmosphere, weeping willows, boat trips, and many interesting little shops. I chose this hostel in Kurashiki for a night on my way to Okayama, and it was a wise choice. Kurashiki's beauty deserves to be savored, and this affordable and unique hostel added to my wonderful memories. From JR Kurashiki Station, walk towards the Bikan Historical Quarter, cross the shopping street, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the hostel. The hostel is located in an alleyway near the main tourist area, with a simple, eye-catching white exterior. The staff were cheerful and welcoming. They showed me to my room and explained the location of the bathing facilities. Although I don't speak Japanese and my English is limited, their kindness and patience were truly wonderful. The hostel has a bar on the first floor, and the next building is the accommodation. I stayed in bed 215C, which was clean and comfortable. There is a women's bathroom on this floor, with three shower rooms. The showers had good water pressure and were well-equipped with fresh towels and bath linens. I purchased a sandwich breakfast for the next day at the front desk for 800 yen. The breakfast time is from 6:30 to 9:30. The two flavors of sandwiches are very delicious, and there is also black tea and yogurt, which I like very much.
