Perfect location, excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room with all amenities. Free parking is available just a few minutes away. A wonderful hotel.
Our family room window is much higher than normal level, we can’t see the outside view , when we open the shade, there is a staff walkway just a floor above ours. So we even can’t open the shade to enjoy daylight due to privacy. I believe other rooms won’t have this issue, but still not good for us. ❌
Everyday have different iced welcome drink in reception. ✅
Small pool but not busy, free without booking from 8am-8pm ✅
Our room has mini-kitchen, electronic cooker and hood ✅
Refrigerator is cold enough for really cold drinks.✅
No refill of bottle water and no mini- bar❌
No clean up of cutlery❌
Shower with good temperature range and enough pressure.✅
Just 2 pin sockets, no USB. ❌
Hotel location is PERFECT👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.Plenty of restaurants around. At the middle of famous attractions. 2 Supermarkets and self laundry around. ✅✅✅
Plenty of nice Algarve wall artwork.✅
Nice breakfast buffet ✅
The hotel is just a 7-8 minute walk from both the bus and train stations, which is convenient as the old town is quite compact. The rooms have the feel of a budget hotel; the building appears to be 5 stories high, and a water drop is its logo. However, the breakfast was decent, offering almost everything you'd need, including fruits and Arabic coffee. They also provide two bottles of purified water daily, adding to its tourist-friendly amenities. The staff were very helpful, even assisting us with opening a bottle of wine.
Booked a panoramic balcony suite - room was fantastic all you could need, x2 bathrooms, kitchenette, living area and large bed and balcony with views. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of choices and was to high standard and well stocked - really enjoyed it ! I ate a snack on the evening in the mezzanine bar, it was ok but not amazing. The quality of the red wine and attentive service in the bar was very good. Checkin and out quick and very well organised and lovely communicative staff.
My personal preferences, would be that in the evenings there is a buffet meal option, rather than pre booked restaurant or pizza as it is somewhat limiting. And minor but attention to details - a suggestion that the room stock only local/Portuguese products such as the water, should really be from Monchqiue... and provided toiletries felt a bit random a mix of English and Portuguese - felt a bit like what was just leftover rather than a collaboration and quality there.
Overall excellent stay and will definitely be back.
Very clean and new hotel. The carpets in the hallways were brilliant - well thought out to make wheeled suitcases easy to pull; also stylish. Bed was super comfortable, AC very effective, room was kept immaculately clean by friendly cleaning staff. Friendly staff served breakfast and in the roof top bar which was amazing, with 360degree views. Dipping pool and sun loungers were well-used; hard to get a lounger in time!
Downside: some very odd management decisions. Despite description on Trip there was no cafe, no lunch or dinner and not even bar snacks! I rang on the 2nd day to ask for a bottle of water … response “Madam, this is a 3* hotel. You only get a bottle of water on your first day”!! Bizarre. I was able to buy a $0.99 bottle from the bar for €2.50!
Breakfast: the ubiquitous coffee machine producing the most disgusting coffee - I tried all of them! In the end I risked tea and even the hot water had scum on it. I know I was not alone … bacon - HP sauce standing proud like a statue - no sausages, cooked tomato, fried egg etc! Pancakes and waffles - no syrup! Nice fresh bread rolls and croissants. Sliced cheese and packaged ham. Selection of cereals, orange juice and good selection of fruit. After 5 breakfasts I got fed up.
WARNING - I was asked to give them my debit card to pay - she wrote down all the details! After I thought - why? I asked why - she said do they could charge me after I left if anything was missing or broken. I was assured this was legal in Portugal! I told them that was what “checkout” was for! I froze my card but I was really angry and when I have time to get a replacement I will need to cancel it!
Balcony nice but only looked onto other rooms! Looking down - WHY NO GARDEN???!!! Just rooftops.
I recommend a 4 hour boat trip …. Maybe 30m pleasant walk. Also hire bikes and go to the Nature Reserve - don’t miss Roman Salt Pits and beach crabs ….😊
We were very pleased! The room was very renovated, the bed was very comfortable, there was always enough beds around the pool, excellent breakfast, and dinner was very good, and we always found parking. What I didn't like was that there were many steps to the beach where there was no toilet, no shower, no napkin, no towel, no handkerchief, no door top, etc. When you open the terrace door, you must be careful with the handle that you open it will slip completely behind the fixed part and if you don't watch it, it will hurt very much.
One of the best stays in Europe vacation.. view was stunning and enjoyed every bit of our time there.. breakfast spread was amazing and sparkling wine included was cherry on top.. highly recommended ..unfortunately pool was under renovation during our however no complaints since the weather was too cold to enjoy swimming pool
I enjoyed a fabulous stay here in Travira. The staff were always smiling, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and even included champagne. Rooms were quiet and very comfortable. The location was excellent in spite of having an uphill walk from the town. I would definitely stay here again
The hotel has a swimming pool, but the grass separating the swimming pool is full of mosquitoes and bugs. The temperature of the swimming pool is still quite cold in mid-March, which is not suitable for swimming. The hotel is located opposite the beach, so it is 25 minutes away from the city center. It is quite dark when walking back to the hotel at night, which feels a little dangerous. The room is large, with a good sense of space, a terrace and enough storage space, just like the pictures. The only drawback is that there is no hair dryer. If you go to the reception to pick it up long before the daily check-in time, it will have been rented out. The room has a kitchen with enough kitchenware, but you need to clean it yourself. Otherwise, you need to pay the cleaning fee in advance at the reception.
That's the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We stayed in Premium 2 bedroom villa,at the level of a 5-star hotel! We had everything what we could ask for to make a breakfast or dinner. We got a dishwasher and washing machine with capsules, hairdryer, coffee machine and coffee, sugar, milk powder etc. My kids were over the moon. The level of cleanliness in this hotel is incredible! We extended our stay. Staff very friendly. Let not even mention the pool, looks fantastic you can ask for. We definitely want to come back!

GGuest UserLocation of hotel excellent. Had a marina view which was superb. Strange location of, and small reception area so time consuming checking in and trying to get info from desk as always a queue and only one staff working. Two very small elevators are the main source of access to higher floors. The bar was very well served and cheap for a hotel. Breakfasts excellent due to choice available. However too many people drink coffee so if you want tea you will be waiting amongst the scrum of coffee slurpers for quite a while. They need more coffee machines spread around the breakfast area to eliminate this. The pool in the spa is excellent but water cold. Good sauna also located there. The rooftop pool can be windy and surrounded by smokers! Not too good for a non smoker. They possibly need to allocate an area for this act although people would have to leave their loungers which is hard I suppose.
Faro is an excellent location and easy to get around from this hotel
JJenA Cozy Getaway with a Few Quirks
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Block C in a wonderful location near the beach. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as the bedroom was spacious and beautifully designed. However, there were a few quirks that left us slightly puzzled.
Locating the signage for the establishment proved to be a small challenge, but it added a sense of adventure to our experience.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room left something to be desired. It struggled to keep the temperature comfortably cool, and we often found ourselves feeling a bit hot. It would be great if this aspect could be improved to ensure a more comfortable stay.
Nevertheless, spending evenings on the balcony was a delightfully cozy and relaxed experience. The ambiance was inviting and lent itself to unwinding after a day of exploration. The surrounding garden and environment added to the overall charm, and we truly appreciated the pleasant surroundings.
I highly recommend visiting this place for a minimum stay of 2 to 3 days. Anything less would make the trip feel rushed, as there is so much to explore and enjoy. Despite the minor quirks, our overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here and would gladly return for another visit.
AAlmeidaPauloAccommodation doesn't match the price/quality.
Poor internet, television without national channels.
Only Android service is available, limiting television access. Coupled with poor quality, you end up looking at the television and seeing a still image and a loading symbol.
The rooms require updating.
There are many areas for improvement, although the staff is excellent and strives to do their best to provide a pleasant stay.
GGuest UserWe love this hotel the food is amazing, all the staff are very friendly. You get well looked after. the hotel is on the beach and it is worth a sea view. Can not fault this hotel we try and go 3 times a year. Always returning to this hotel due to amazing Service.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel in an excellent location on the waterfront, within easy walking distance of many local shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants, historical sites like the old town, and the local bus station which is handy for a bus to the airport. The hotel is very clean and well-presented, and has a very nice restaurant and rooftop bar. The rooms are large with a luxurious feel, however a gap under the door let in a significant amount of light and noise from the corridor, although the corridor and other areas of the hotel were generally very quiet. The hotel restaurant is good, however doesn't really have much for vegetarians, and nothing for vegans, and is generally limited in choice, which is disappointing as the dining room is very nice, and the staff are excellent. The restaurant is also more expensive than many of the surrounding restaurants which offer broader menus and more choice for those with dietary restrictions, so was not very appealing. In all, I found this hotel to be very pleasant, and good value for money, with excellent, friendly staff who accommodated me well with their perfect English.
GGuest UserThe rooms were small and poorly cleaned. We even had to change rooms because of dirt on the curtains, and we found hair on the bed and pillows. Towels were consistently missing, a problem we observed multiple times.
The pool restrooms were always heavily soiled with urine.
The food was good, and the experience at both restaurants was incredible.
The pool temperature was great, but it was off-putting to see it full of hair.
Mosquitoes were also a major issue; even with repellent, they were relentless.
