GGuest UserLa Badira — The art of almost There’s a particular kind of disappointment reserved for places that almost understand luxury. Not the loud kind. The quiet one. The one that leans in and whispers: “you could have been exceptional.” La Badira lives in that whisper. --- The seduction phase It starts strong—convincingly so. The arrival is smooth, transactional friction reduced to zero. The room? Composed, balanced, intentional. And the bed… the bed does what great beds do—it erases the day without asking questions. For a moment, you think: ah, they get it. The bones are there. The language is fluent. --- Then the accent slips Because luxury isn’t a moment—it’s consistency. And this is where things… unravel. Food first—because it deserves the blame. At this price point, you don’t serve anonymity on a plate. Buffet-heavy Generic Forgettable to the point of insult This isn’t Tokyo-tier. This isn’t even trying to be. And when you’ve benchmarked yourself against places like Tokyo hotels, that gap isn’t subtle—it’s philosophical. --- Service: willing, but not weaponized The staff aren’t careless—they’re unequipped. You feel it immediately: No anticipation No rhythm Just reaction under pressure It’s not bad service. It’s incomplete service. And in luxury, “almost” is failure. --- Weekend reality check Then comes the weekend—the great revealer. The hotel stretches beyond its elegance: Parking spills into the garden (yes, the garden) The calm dissolves into something closer to managed chaos An adult-only hotel should feel curated. Controlled. Intentional. Not like it oversold serenity. --- The spa paradox (now with nuance) Here’s where it gets interesting. Inside the massage room: Calm Competent Genuinely relaxing You exhale. Finally. At the reception: You’re put on standby Another guest jumps ahead No acknowledgment, no permission And just like that—the spell breaks. It’s the perfect metaphor for the hotel: execution exists… but awareness does not. --- The small betrayals Minimalist amenities are fine—if they’re precise. Here? Items missing Replenishment inconsistent You have to ask And the moment you ask, luxury quietly exits the room. --- The Tokyo comparison When you place this next to high-end Tokyo hotels, the difference is brutal: Tokyo runs on systems → invisible excellence La Badira runs on effort → visible strain One feels inevitable. The other feels negotiated. --- Final note This is not a bad hotel. That would be easier. This is a beautiful hotel… carrying a 4-star operational soul while pricing itself like a 5-star philosophy. And that tension? You feel it everywhere.

FFabioCh**Decent Value for the Price, But Far From a 4-Star Experience** We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with bed & breakfast for €60, and while the price is definitely attractive, the experience was a mixed bag. **Cleanliness:** The hotel and rooms were generally clean, and the bedsheets were fresh. However, the mattress itself was stained and not very pleasant, which was disappointing. **Bed Comfort:** This was by far one of the worst parts of the stay. The mattress was rock hard—honestly felt like sleeping on the floor. Pillows were thin, lumpy, and offered no support. We requested extra pillows three times, and although staff promised to bring them, they never followed through. **Bathroom:** Cleanliness was acceptable, but the setup was inconvenient. There was no shower head hanger, so you had to hold the shower with one hand while bathing. Towels were rough and uncomfortable, and there was always at least one missing (sometimes the floor towel, sometimes the bath towel). The courtesy toiletries were taken but never replaced. **Breakfast:** A very basic buffet with a limited selection. Pastries were inconsistent—sometimes decent, other times stale and clearly reheated leftovers. Not the kind of quality you’d expect from a supposed 4-star hotel. **Service:** A few staff members were friendly and helpful, but most seemed uninterested and disengaged, like they didn’t want to be there. We didn’t feel particularly welcomed or well-attended. **Swimming Pool Area:** This was the highlight of the hotel—clean, with clear water, nice outdoor showers, and a good vibe thanks to lively music and entertainment. **Overall:** While the hotel is clearly outdated and stuck in the late '90s in terms of decor and service, the location and pool are definite pluses. Despite the many issues, for €60 for two nights with breakfast, the price/quality ratio was decent. Just don’t expect a real 4-star experience.

GGuest UserFood options at breakfast and dinner were decent. We are glad we went for the half board option. Desserts were really nice. Free access to indoor heated pools were really good and jacuzzi. Great view from our bedroom with two balconies. ATM and money exchange was available at the hotel. Corner shops and food shops also nearby. Evening entertainment bit loud. Beautiful view of seafront and walkable to beach with unlimited drinks. Spacious rooms and quiet. Sadly bedsheets were dirty did request for them to be changed but were still bubbly and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Pillows were too soft. Carpets a bit run down in hotel and smell of cigarettes in corridors. Requested iron three times and didnt get it till next day. Any additional water bottles for the room we were told had an extra charge. Decent hotel for a short stay.

MMOHAMED RAMIThe hotel personnel is outstanding. I loved their professionalism and dedication. Special note for the desk personnel who welcomed us with professionalism and kindness, and listened to our claims with a smile and reactively acted in consequence. The customer service manager (Haifa) is also great. The rooms are very clean but the furniture are quite old for a 5 stars hotel(some broken wooden stuff...) Biggest weakness: 1- The lunch/dinner menu was exactly the same and we had to rise a claim for that. The next day was satisfying tho. 2- We had to pass by an open door area to go to the indoor swimming pool during a cold time which was very uncomfortable (got a cold after that) 3- Booked an all inclusive and still need to pay for the gym? why?

AAnonymous UserDisappointing for this price and for a 4 stars hotel. Room was barely acceptable, clearly not cleaned below the beds, no glasses, no towels, soap and shampoo containers almost if not empty upon arrival and were not filled at all during our stay. Towels were a nightmare to get: sometimes just enough, sometimes missing one, sometimes missing two. Getting an iron was a battle and forget about laundry service. Requests were not always met with a nice answer, they painted a room next to ours taking no precautions, getting the smell far into ours. Lunch was excruciatingly expensive for the area, forget about it. Included breakfast and dinner were OK. Location was very nice, although the surroundings are a bit dead..

GGuest UserThe staff in the restaurant were lovely and provided an excellent service. The food was tasty with a wide variety of choices, the room cleaning was also great. The only downside for me was the limited opening times of the indoor pool and gym facilities.

DDan_22We really liked the hotel, but there were a few issues, such as the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste in the room, the towels weren't always clean, and housekeeping wasn't regularly scheduled. However, the food was good and delicious! You should understand that the hotel is indeed very large, but it's undergoing partial renovation, so we got a truly new room!
