EA Embassy Prague Hotel

Nové Město
Booked via Booking.com a couple of weeks before we made the trip. It's in a fairly quiet area of Prague. Only a ten minute walk to the old town and a five minute walk to Florenc underground station. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, so it's ideal for a short stay. The staff are the real stars of the Embassy Hotel. They speak very good English, knowledgeable and they are keen to go the extra mile. Checking in was easy and our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also a good size. I managed to get the temperature of the room down to a more comfortable setting, using the manual mode on the AC. There was a wide range of food for breakfast, including several granolas, meusli, porridge, fruit, cold meats and cooked food. There is only one lift that serves the six floors, but we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to use it. The only minor issues were a low battery in the room safe, which was quickly dealt with, one blown bulb in the ceiling lamp and a broken sink plug open/close mechanism. The latter two would have been an irritation on a longer stay and should really have been picked up on a room inspection. That aside, we had a very pleasant stay indeed.

The hotel offers an excellent experience, highlighted by its friendly staff and an excellent price-performance relationship. The service is perfect, making the stay comfortable and easy to use. The two restaurants of the hotel are particularly highlighted: the garden restaurant and the brewery restaurant. The garden restaurant is ideal for meals from early to afternoon, while the breuhaus restaurant with its unique flair is especially recommended in the evening. The wellness area of the hotel deserves special recognition. It includes several very hot saunas, which can be used fortunately without textiles. This helps to create a genuine and relaxing experience. The restaurants are both of Bohemian and European nature and of fine quality, which rounds up the hotel's culinary offers. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for all who are looking for relaxation and first-class service.

Stayed in this hotel on a cycle touring trip on the Elbe. This hotel is right in the main square in Roundnice. Our room was lovely, big, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good. We ate in the hotel and the food was excellent. For all of these reasons I would have given it an excellent. However the reception staff were awful. We didn't have towels in our room and when I went to asked about this I was advised that they would get them to me 'later'. Fifteen minutes later I returned to reception to again ask about towels and the receptionist eventually phoned someone and found out where to get towels. She was well aware that we had been cycling all day and needed a shower but appeared totally unconcerned about this. For this reason I've had to mark it down, which is a pity as otherwise it is a great wee hotel.
