Olive, the host, was prompt to attend to us upon our arrival at Cullentra House. The house is nice and has different types of rooms to choose from overlooking very nice mountain view. The room we chose was for three persons and it was cosy.
My husband and I stayed 1 night in a tower room in June during our journey around Northern Ireland and Ireland. We LOVED this place and wish we had more time to enjoy the castle and the area. We highly recommend staying at the Ballygally Castle Hotel and would love to come back someday!
Stunning coastline, gorgeous countryside and a thriving, historic town... there's loads to see and do at the Premier Inn Hotel Carrickfergus. In fact with so much to do within a mile of the front door - plus popular business destinations only slightly further away - your first visit is unlikely to be your last. Step back in time at Carrickfergus Castle and Museum, before stepping out to its Marina and smartly refurbished Amphitheatre leisure centre. And, if it's the right time of year, follow the steps at the Annual Irish Dancing Championships. Either way, kick back at our tasty Brewers Fayre restaurant before diving into your incredibly comfy bed.

This is a 300 year old inn, which has been recently renovated. Very clean. Nice choice of breakfasts included in the stay and you can have two choices at one sitting. I had a Belfast bap with 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon and a fried egg. And also overnight oats with a lot of fresh berries. There were also toasts, jams, breakfast cereals with milk. We had a nice dinner in the pub area of the Inn (seafood chowder and sticky toffee and orange pudding) next to the real fireplace. You can also have your dinner in the restaurant area of the Inn where they serve breakfast. Two hundred metres from the hotel there is a very interesting Norman Carrickfergus castle built in 12th century and used until early 20th century by the army.
