Our stay was great! It's not walking distance to the tourist spots but all of them are within the area and hailing a taxi is not a problem at all. We also prefer not to walk đ But if preferred, it's possible as everything is near the area!
We tried their heated pool while it rained, and we really enjoyed it! Such an experience with a cold weather in Baguio!
The breakfast buffet is awesome! We love everything and their menu differs per day! The original flavor taho, strawberry and ube are such a delight! I think the only missing is cereals. First time to eat strawberry champorado! đ
At first I was hesitant if the room will have a fast wifi for me to work. Viola! The room as a router! I was able to work with ease! We love the smart TV -- you only need to sign in your own Netflix account. We love our room view. We don't have to go to SM to see the Baguio city lights.. we already have it in the room. We have a balcony overseeing the pool area as well! We so love our room! đ Only thing is maybe they should add another desk or longer desk. The TV is already in the table and there is no separate desk for laptop or if you are having snacks/dinner. We asked, but they don't have a spare table. I think they can also add another chair since the room is good for two. There's only one chair in the room but when we requested for it, they were able to provide.
Our room also allowed us to feel the breeze of Baguio! We can turn-off the AC and open the windows protected by mosquito net! I was just amazed with this feature!
We truly appreciate their prompt service whenever we call the reception. We don't need to call for follow-up! We love them!
We love that there is a bathtub and hoping they can also provide bath robes for a perfect bath! đ
Truly, we love to be back to SotoGrande whenever in Baguio! 𫶠Thank you SotoGrande for an awesome experience!
Wanay Homestay offers many budgets rooms for families and couples that are looking for a quiet yet beautiful scenery you will enjoy.
Tips: you might get lost following Waze and sometimes Google map. Call mam rosita if you couldn't find the road.
Pin Mitsukoshi Motors Benguet that is the starting point going to Wanay's ( see directions of google map on my pics?
They have convenience store and a beautiful overlooking dining area at the 4th flr.
Over all we enjoyed staying at Wanay's.
Highly recommended. The service and welcome are exceptional, as is the hotelâs exquisite forest location and ambience in Camp John Hay, Baguio. Although itâs quite an old hotel, the highest standards are delivered. Itâs quite expensive, although the dining and drinking options are priced quite reasonably for a hotel of this nature. We really enjoyed a very relaxing stay, enjoying the outdoor views and easygoing classic charm. Great job, and thank you!
Checking In: Swift and was able to check in 30 mins before 2 PM
Room: About time for some renovation. The room I have booked has no view.
Breakfast Buffet: Satisfying
Checking Out: Took 10 minutes, they will check the room first.
Overall: 4/5 Rating for me
I chose this hotel because of its location. It has a great ambiance, the garden at the back is really good. The view is amazing. It was nice having my tea there.
The room itself is good. They also have complimentary Nagaraya and Blend 45 coffee (no tea, good thing I brought my own). The downside for me is that there is no hot water. I was so excited to use the bathtub but the water was so cold. I think that it was the fastest shower I ever had.đđđ.
The location might be a bit far from the town center, but just right outside the gate of the hotel is the terminal for the jeep bound Baguio plaza- Tiptop.
An enjoyable stay, staff were all friendly, room was comfortable with nice garden view. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Location is good, away from the noisy downtown area and close to some sights such as Wright Park and Mines View. Only negative is that the hotel was always very busy with people and they could be heard from the room at night
The location of this hotel makes our 1st trip to Baguio very very convenient. This location is very accessible, most of the attractions are walking distance. I just hope they have a family room that can accommodate a family of 4 so that we can still stay here together with our kids. Hotel staff are very courteous and polite.
Location-wise, maganda sya kasi katapat na nya yung Burnham Park.
I feel like expensive sya dahil lang sa location. Wala rin view yung room kahit may window. Yung ambiance ng hotel is medyo old. You can have a similar price for a luxurious-feeling hotel sa Baguio pero hindi walking distance sa pasyalan. Marumi yung cabinets na napunta samin na room so we opted to keep our clothes in our bags. So weigh nalang ano isasacrifice. Yung ganda ng hotel or distance.
Di rin sila nagbibigay ng extra key card. So if may aalis kang kasama, need to coordinate sa reception or knock sa kasama all the time.
Mabait at helpful ang receptionist and guards.
Okay rin dahil may parking. Mahirap magpark sa Burnham or session road so parking our car sa hotel saved us the trouble sa paghahanap o pila sa parking sa Burnham Park.
Not the best breakfast I had in Baguio. I was expecting more, like a buffet dahil nga sa price or atleast more appealing breakfast. Hindi mainit yung fried rice na naserve samin, so a little disappointing. Yung ulam is so-so lang din. I hope that can be improved.
If we'll visit again? Pwede, pero will not avail the breakfast na siguro and if priority parin namin mamasyal sa Burnham or Session.
We stayed at Chalet Baguio during a recent trip and had a generally okay experience. The location is greatâclose to Burnham Park, Session Road, and other Baguio attractions. Itâs convenient if you want to explore the city without spending too much time in transit.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and responsive. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the hotel had a welcoming vibe overall.
However, I was disappointed with the buffet breakfast. The selection was quite limited, and the food quality didnât meet expectations. It felt more like a quick fix rather than something to look forward to in the morning. Hopefully, the hotel can improve on this, as breakfast can really set the tone for the day.
Also, parking space is limited, which can be a challenge during peak times.
There are a few points would like to bring up
1. The ceiling fan in the room is functional,
However, the wind is totally not strong enough, so turning it on means not turning it on.
2. No YouTube/Netflix function on TV. Staying other hotels in Baguio which the said functions are available as well. But here no.
3. The hangers in wardrobe are so inconvenient, It can only be hung in the closet and cannot be taken away. Sometime want to hang clothes at the balcony but have no way.
4. Suggest to have USB socket ports at the bed side would be more convenient
5. Seems no individual button could control the light of baloncy. Seems the light is connected to some of the lights in room.
6. Front desk are friendly but can be more professional. Approached to the reception but no one acknowledged. We have to tell them âcheck inâ proactively
7. Prior arrival, sent the message to hotel for the room inquire, the first they replied, but afterwards, no replied from hotel anymore.
8. Breakfast not much selection. And many staffs at the counter
9. Shower water pressure not strong enough and hot water not hot enough. And no water refill after make up room service.
Even so, base on the hotel location and the mountain view, will consider staying again in the future. Hope the management will review the comments and hopefully will see some improvements by then.
Thank you!

GGuest UserThis hotel has some good points:
1. Great buffet bfast with a variety of food selections. I like their dried fish, omelette, langgonisa, coffee, breads, fruits. But noticed they did not serve bananas. Staff looks attentive to the needs of guests.
2. Have greats restos and shops nearby. Also near the CJH Conference area.
3. Has ample parking and nice garden plus heated pool.
However this hotel also needs improvement on the following areas:
1. Front desk looks like they are not coordinated. Made separate booking for three nights via Agoda and Trip.com and informed the hotel about this arrangement. However, after our first night, front desk asked us if we are extending our stay. Worst, they deactivated our key cards so we have to go down again to have them activated again which caused some inconvenience.
2. Toilet has a foul odor so called housekeeping who took some time to attend to us. They told us what to do to avoid the foul smell but some unpleasant smell still remained so reported this to the team leader who sent their engineering to check. The hotel staff told us they will return but never did. So problem was not solved.
3. Requested for late checkout since our trip back to Manila was still at 2pm. However, front desk cannot commit and said will require approval. We followed up and got no positive feedback. Called team leader and made complaints about issues 1-3 and had our request accepted.
4. Very difficult to book a taxi or grab and the guards said because of too many guests or tourists. But itâs a pity that such an expensive hotel also has no shuttles service.
We booked this hotel because itâs near the conference area but disappointed because we felt we didnât get the value and services we were expecting. Anyway, thanks to the great staff.
GGuest UserIt's our third time in this place and we were in a good room location for this visit. That gave us a very peaceful sleep during the night. And as always, cleanliness and friendliness of staff is present that is why we come back. Appreciate that we were allowed to check-in an hour earlier. Thank you!

AAnonymous UserWe had a rough booking process but in the end it was smoothen out. This was due to the typhoon that hit the country hard the day before. Trip was helpful in extending their service which as always is efficient. Our stay check in and our stay was nice. It was restful mostly but the first night. There was a bunch at the parking (room 451) who were loud even at wee hours.
The lobby was nicely decorated with Christmas trees, figurines and there were dozens of lights. It was magical! The weather was terrific too.
Upon checking thereâs PhP3000 deposit which was returned to us upon our checkout.
Our checkout process took us about 10 mins. We
KKSD31We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff who made our stay pleasant.
The room was also clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom it was spotless, with no signs of prior use or any foul smells. However, the lack of an exhaust fan meant that any odors stayed trapped inside. Additionally, the room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air circulation. While there was an air conditioner, it still felt like the air wasnât circulating well.
Breakfast was just okay nothing special. The selection was quite limited, so youâre left with only whatâs available. Compared to Elizabeth Hotel, which is more affordable and offers a more appetizing breakfast buffet with a wider variety, this was a bit of a letdown.
As for amenities, the hotel offers a jacuzzi and a heated pool, which is great in theory. However, their location in the middle of a restaurant makes it awkward to use since youâll likely have an audience while swimming.
We also tried the Japanese restaurant on the mezzanine level. The food was good and affordable, but the sashimi was cut too thick about an inch which made it difficult to eat.
Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional cleanliness. If cleanliness is a top priority for you, this hotel is a great choice!
