When the car arrived at the hotel, the porter came to help with the luggage. When checking in, the lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and efficient. When I got to the room and opened the curtains, I could see the river view, which was very beautiful and comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, and parking was convenient. I will come again next time

This river-view hotel truly exceeded our expectations! The facilities are new, and all amenities are fully stocked, showing that it's well-maintained. We felt completely at ease regarding cleanliness; the room was spotless, fresh, and odor-free, making our stay very comfortable. The breakfast selection was extensive, with a good balance of meat and vegetables, and the taste was fantastic – both adults and kids enjoyed it immensely. Our favorite part was the river view; opening the window to see the river was so therapeutic. Plus, it's just a short walk to the riverside scenic area, perfect for strolls, sightseeing, or taking the kids out. The service throughout our stay was attentive and thoughtful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

Very large hotel, feels like thousands of rooms in a maze-like configuration in a mouse hotel. Breakfast is cheap enough, across from rail station so that’s why most people book this hotel I suppose.

Located opposite a pretty lake, nice for a walk, the hotel is good for leisure and business travellers. The rooms are large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is very clean.
Fortunately I was with my Chinese speaking partner otherwise check in may have been a longer process. The breakfast was also fine but more orientated to local audience - albeit there is bread, fruit, eggs. Coffee at breakfast is not so good.

This hotel is perfect for family trips with kids; if you're visiting Guilin with children, you absolutely shouldn't miss it.
**Location**: Conveniently located in Guilin city center, just two or three kilometers from Guilin Station—a few minutes by taxi. It's also only about 1 kilometer from Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area and Zhengyang Road Pedestrian Street.
**Facilities**: We stayed on the family-themed floor with our kids. The room was spacious and featured bunk beds with a slide, a kids' table, a small tent, a rocking horse, and a large bathtub—perfect for soaking away the day's fatigue. There's also a kids' play area in the hallway, which was a huge hit; our child could play there all day and didn't want to leave!
**Breakfast**: Breakfast is served on the 9th floor. It's extensive, offering Guilin rice noodles, mini wontons, Guilin oil tea, and a wide variety of other dishes—everything you could wish for.
**Service**: The front desk staff provided excellent service, helping us with our luggage. They even assisted with laundry, washing and drying our clothes in the washing machine and then delivering them back to our room. You don't have to worry about a thing when you stay here.
**Environment**: The 9th floor has a pool and an observation deck that's great for photos. There's a large frame that makes every shot look like a masterpiece of a thousand miles of rivers and mountains.
They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Guilin.

I have stayed at the Wyndham Baise Resort a few times during the past couple of years. This past week I stayed two nights with friends to celebrate my birthday. The hotel staff delivered a cake and card to my room, which was a sweet surprise. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is always someone available who can speak English if you need it. We enjoy eating at the restaurant on the first floor which has a variety of good food to choose from. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a pool and a sauna that we use every time we go. I love the view of the city and river from the window. A mall and some restaurants are in walking distance.

My recent experiences at other hotels made me particularly hesitant when choosing a hotel in Guilin this time. Even with thousands of positive reviews, I couldn't help but feel skeptical. I finally decided to check it out in person. Before checking in, I made what I would have previously considered an unnecessary request: ”May I see the room first?” The front desk staff responded without hesitation: ”Of course, you can.”
When viewing the room, the staff knocked three times on the door of a room he clearly knew was empty, saying ”housekeeping service” each time. After opening the door, he knocked once more before formally entering. At that moment, I felt reassured. It turns out that a standardized knock and a simple announcement can rebuild shattered trust. This isn't just service; it's the hotel's fundamental respect for people.
This feeling of being respected permeated my entire stay. The monk fruit tea personally served by the front desk, the handwritten card next to the welcome fruit, and the Angelica tea before bed all felt warm and thoughtful. Even the housekeeping auntie who brought buckwheat pillows in the evening was all smiles. Here, you don't feel like a hotel guest; you feel more like you've arrived at the home of a cherished friend.
Besides the warm and attentive front desk staff, what impressed me most was the F&B supervisor. When I ordered my second coffee, an Americano, she gently confirmed: ”You had a sugar-free latte earlier, didn't you?” I was surprised that she remembered my preference after serving so many guests. When my Guilin rice noodles were ready, she specifically came over to tell me, ”Please come over to add your condiments.” Upon check-out, she even proactively asked, ”Did you sleep well last night? Is there anything you needed in the room?” Accustomed to the rigid departmental divisions of large hotels, this cross-departmental, meticulous care was truly unexpected. I noticed during breakfast that all the servers wore transparent masks. This ensured hygiene without hindering their friendly smiles and clear voices. All the subsequent observations, whether it was the consistently neat bottled water in the elevator or the carefully arranged green mangoes on the breakfast buffet, made me feel that the operation went far beyond merely replenishing food and drinks. It was an attitude of consistently upholding their own standards.
Admittedly, considering the prices in Guilin during the off-season, this small hotel with Li River views is not inexpensive, and its facilities are comparable to many standardized chain hotels. However, when respect for people, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to standards are presented so genuinely, what it offers is an experience that far exceeds its hardware specifications.

If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel.
I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry.
I am a returning guest.
First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031
Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003
During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway.
On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet.
On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage.
I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them.
During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected.
This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing.
This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously.

It was my first time to sleep on a 3-meter bed. It was super cool. The hotel facilities and services are great. The surrounding area is also convenient. RT-Mart is just over 900 meters away. There is free underground parking. The breakfast included in the hotel is also good. My favorite thing is riding a shared electric scooter around Yulin. I went to Shishijie Night Market, Yuntian Cultural City, and Kelawan Water Park.
I can stay in a hotel of this level for less than 300 yuan during the National Day. I think it’s worth it!

SShunLII chose ShiXi TianYue for the Yangshuo trail running race. The hotel's location is super convenient, making pre-race gatherings and post-race returns effortless.
Room facilities: My king room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding that provided excellent rest after an intense race.
Service: The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The front desk even helped me mail my trail running shoes, trekking poles, and other items back home.
WiFi: Available
Parking: Available
Whether as a race support station or a place to relax and explore, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend it to fellow runners!
11500517****The service from the Loyalty Department goes beyond being just 'thoughtful'; it feels more like the meticulous care of an old friend. Three days before my arrival, my dedicated client manager called to confirm my itinerary needs and informed me that a quiet, high-floor suite had already been reserved based on my past preferences. Upon arrival, the room was perfectly arranged to my liking: the curtains were half-open to let in natural light, and what touched me most was that she had pre-arranged a late checkout for me. The Loyalty Department has proven over time that true loyalty service isn't about points redemption, but about making each guest feel like a unique and cherished member of this family. Thank you for making every trip a comfortable experience for me.

TTio0We had a small hiccup during check-in, but the front desk staff quickly and efficiently resolved it, preventing a negative experience. A special shout-out to the three gentlemen at the front desk – they were incredibly nice!
The overall vibe is more like a guesthouse, but with a higher standard of management. The bedding and pillows are excellent quality, and all the amenities are well-stocked. The breakfast area has large floor-to-ceiling windows, and I highly recommend the rice noodles.
Located at the very back of the guesthouse cluster, there are no obstructions to the view. I recommend the ground-floor courtyard – it's very pleasant. There's also a parking lot with slow charging, making it EV-friendly.
They offer travel photography and handicraft activities, which are great for unwinding. The handicraft instructor was very patient, and both adults and children can participate.
There are farm-to-table restaurants within walking distance, but they are overpriced and the food is mediocre. I suggest driving to the Pink Panther area for meals, which is about a 10-minute drive.

GGuest UserShangrila Guilin is situated a little further from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, it is super convenient to travel via Didi to anywhere you wish to go to. The room is a little dated but extremely spacious for the Terrace Mountain view room. Housekeeping deserves special mention as the housekeeper insisted on giving me a disinfected teaspoon and not one from her cart. The staff here are very service oriented, especially Alex Long (Concierge) and Jamie Chen (Li Cafe). There is also a mini zoo to amuse the young ones in the sprawling compound. I find breakfast at the Li Cafe to be vegetarian friendly.. The hotel would also cater vegetarian dishes as a special request for room service but only during limited hours. In fact, I had most of my meals here. Would definitely recommend Shang for a calm and tranquil stay during the winter season!

SShayupipiluThe hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the Lijiang River scenic area. Our upgraded room offered a beautiful view of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. The hotel staff's service attitude was exceptionally good; they helped us with our luggage to our room and we received fresh fruit daily. The stir-fried dishes at breakfast were delicious, the bread was perfectly toasted, and they even had freshly made Guilin rice noodles. The butler service was excellent; upon learning it was our anniversary, they decorated the room and prepared a gorgeous and exquisite fresh flower cake. The bath amenities were by Appelles and smelled wonderful! When we checked out, the front desk even prepared a farewell gift. Fantastic!!!
