Guest UserThis hotel is beautiful and just a 35-minute drive from Highclere Castle. It has a real sense of history. The facilities are great, although there's no air conditioning and the room felt a bit stuffy, but that's just the way it is sometimes. The hotel is right next to a vast estate with beautiful lawns, flowers, and trees, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I hope to come back again!

StaceyI was a little bit disappointed staying at the Apollo hotel when I booked, i booked it for two adults and one child and when I got there there was only a double bed, they told me they would put in a single bed for me whilst I was out and when I got back to the hotel at 8:30pm there still wasn’t a bed they eventually at 10pm gave me a camp bed with springs missing for my four-year-old to sleep on I wasn’t happy, so in the end I ended up sleeping on the floor so my daughter could have the bed with her dad, it’s a real shame to see a hotel that I stayed in when I got married has gone downhill, there was a lot of dirty trays in the corridors on the way to the room, but on entrance of the hotel was beautiful,

salaudin lunatWe stayed at Holiday Inn Fareham Solent. Fir this location a car would be ideal. There is a Shell Petrol Station not too far. All staff are friendly, always with a warm smiles. They offered me free parking. So if you do come by car don't forget to log vehicle registration details on the portal at the Front Desk (Check In). Breakfast was excellent choice of vegetarian or non vegetarian (healthy options available). Our room was on ground floor there was some draught coming through the window so I mentioned to the staff. Sadly the Jacuzzi was not working during our entire stay so (3 days). Lots of places to visit. I only gave 3 marks for amenities due to Jacuzzi not working. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clx46We stayed for a wedding, perfect location next to the station. Standout was the receptionist - super friendly and helpful, took our bags ahead of checking and allowed us to use the facilities to change for the wedding. Would recommend.

Guest UserLovely location. Breakfast was really yummy. They had absolutely everything, both hot and cold options.
Staff are friendly. The spa was nice but, could do with a little refresh and the jets on the hot tub need a little fix, but it was still a nice relaxing time.
We did find it a little hard to find the pool area, some better signage would be ideal.
Either way we would be back.

Guest UserThe hotel do not make it clear that you have to pay for the swimming pool each time you use it. When you have children who are expecting to swim, this is simply not good enough. When booking it clearly says there are leisure facilities, including a swimming pool. It was only when checking in that we were told you had to pay £5 per person!
We booked a ‘golf view’ room. When we arrived in the room there was a view of a bush, tree and bins with golf buggies in the distance come the morning, hardly a golf view in our opinion. Very disappointed children who were excited to be able to see a fairway!
Breakfast was massively understaffed. The two staff members working were working very hard but with a full hotel, there should have been more staff working. It took far too long for glasses to be topped up to use for juice and the pastries ran out and were not replaced in time for us to eat.
All staff members were lovely and worked hard but I feel management need to act upon previous reviews. We were told that the golf view issue was historical and an issue with Trip and how they advertise but if this was the case, why had nothing been done to address it? We were offered a drinks voucher as compensation but we refused as we had already purchased our non-alcoholic drinks for the evening. Perhaps not the best offer for a family! We asked if we could have our swim paid for instead and were told no because the leisure facilities were separate to the hotel??

MisisGIt was a great experience for us as a family, I have to booked 2 rooms to accommodate the family of four, everything was absolutely fantastic. Kids enjoyed the food. It was 9/10 stars for all, except that it took us so long to wait for the room that was interconnected with the other room. I was told at first that it was interconnected but then when we went in there it wasn’t. huge thanks to Ms. Nadia from the front desk who was there to help us and got everything sorted for 10 minutes.
The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly 😊 we will definitely be back again.

We had an amazing time at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort celebrating my fiancé’s birthday weekend. The whole place is beautiful, the décor is stunning, with lovely pictures throughout that make it feel both homely and luxurious at the same time.
The spa facilities and gym were excellent, and the young guy at the bar was especially friendly and made us some great drinks. The rooms were spacious, the showers were fantastic, and the golf course was beautiful and very well maintained.
The only area I think could use a little improvement is the breakfast selection. There were fruits, bread, yoghurt, eggs, and the usual items for an English breakfast, but after staying more than one night, it would have been nice to have more variety such as pancakes or other breakfast options to switch things up a bit.
I also paid extra for the birthday package. While I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, it did feel a little misleading for the £15 charge, as it mainly included balloons, a very small teddy bear, some chocolates, and a card, which was exactly what was shown in the pictures.
Other than that, everything was perfect and we had a wonderful stay.

Guest UserVoco Southampton by IHG is a nice boutique hotel with a modern look. It’s ideal for layover before your cruise from London Southampton. The hotel is near the cruise terminal, it could be walking distance or a short taxi ride. We’re boarding the Sky Princess and the hotel staff helped us book a radio taxi, which cost 10 Euros.
Hotel room was reasonably spacious but a little rundown especially for the bathroom. Vanity would need an upgrade to justify the room rate for 280 pounds per night.
Staff at the reception and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We had early dinner at the lobby restaurant. The fish and chips were really delicious.
The only major problem was the hotel lifts. The two lifts with very limited capacity, 450kg each, was far from adequate for 150 guest rooms, especially during check out time. It was a very long wait, or you’re prepared for walking down the stairs with your luggages.

Friendly service by everyone we met. Ladies on reception took special care of my 2 year old when we entered and gave her an Easter colouring activity whilst we checked in. Rooms are basic but ok. Bed is huge and very comfy. Air con doesn't circulate very well at all, under it, freezing, in the bed I'm boiling. Also what's the deal with no fridge in the room? Restaurant is ok, bit over priced for what it is really and it was a sunny day and so, so so hot.its only April and I was sweating! Could do with some air con or circulating air in there. Nice location though, if your a cricket fan you'll love it and opposite a golf course so nice view that side too.
Have stayed before and will again
