AAl DDUSTYfor 2 stars hotel this is an average hotel. no breakfast provided yet the price is quite reasonable. location is in the middle of Perhentian. Have to walk from jetty and by walk i mean have to do light hiking.

HHowardEverything is relative. For perhentian, barat is one of the cleaner hotels around. But for the price I paid during super peak season, one would expect cleaner services. I waited hours for the room to be ready, which I can understand as the night before was fully booked and I arrived before the official check in time. However, when I was finally able to check into my room,, the shampoo packet from the previous guest wasn't picked up and the drain hole still had hair. Towels were also damp.
Once we got over this initial disappointment, I was quite happy for the rest of my time there. Room was well equipped with a kettle, hair dryer, fan and super cool air conditioning, the latter was crucial to alleviate the record heat we are experiencing.
Location was superb as well. You can go snorkeling at the beach outside the neighboring hotel, where you can see baby sharks hanging around the rocks. I was assured by the staff that momma shark don't hunt there. I guess they are right since I lived to write this review.
Those a little braver can swim out to turtle point (life jacket recommended). Every morning, loads of boats arrive here to drop off eager snorkelers hoping to catch a glimpse of turtles. It's nice to have the option to go anytime at your leisure, staying at barat hotel nearby.

VVicky China WalaThis resort is wonderful place to stay in a very good budget compared to other resorts around. The room was pretty clean and comfortable. 24/7 air conditioning and water heating facility available. The hotel staff was super kind and friendly.
You can enjoy drinks at the bar with Akmal and gossip with nice music ❤️
They serve amazing food and offer snorkeling trips , boat taxis, kayak and other facilities.

MMikhailservice is excellent. after going to neighboring hotel restaurants, we realized that the food in Coral is better, and a little cheaper. They accept Russian UnionPay cards (and in neighboring Barat too).
unfortunately, near Coral, most of the corals are dead, and there are not many fish. for a good snorkel, you had to swim quite far.
I do not recommend taking the cheapest rooms. Some of them are too small, others can be inconveniently located or on the mountain.
we had to change our room to a more expensive one with an extra charge.
but overall the impressions are very good.
p.s.: the hotel has a ”non-alcohol” policy. even beer nearby can only be bought in Barat for 18 ring/can

KKafkoofAll good for last min option during peak season. But price was too expensive for this kind of room. IDK why Trip.com is RM176 when walk in price was only RM140. But overall ok la, i got kids with me and not that comfortable for family. If you are travelling alone should be fine i guess.

AAlcoolNice place to pit stop on your way to Perhentian Islands. Easy access to good food at the mamak restaurant 2 doors away. And nice Chinese food adjacent to the hotel. All are reasonably priced.
Hotel is clean by most standards. Basic amenities provided like hangers, free wifi, towels, blankets. We took a big family room for 4 pax and slept comfortably.

AAnonymous UserThe service was great. The hotel WhatsApp in advance asking what time I wanted to check in. The location was above Tanjung Jara’s area. It was quite serene & peaceful. It’s a 15 mins drive to the Dungun town. The hotel is quite new hence it was very clean. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
