The room comfortably accommodates 6 people with three double beds, and the bedding is very clean. Each floor has a desk with charging points. The WiFi speed is decent. Breakfast includes sandwiches, toast, milk, coffee, cereal, and unlimited drinks. There's also a gas stove, which is great if you like to cook your own meals, like boiling an egg. The living room on the first floor is spacious enough for dozens of people to have meetings or chats. A major plus is its 8-minute walk to Southern Cross Station, located right in the city center on King Street.
**Environment:** Quiet, safe, and convenient.
**Cleanliness:** The bathroom is very clean, gets daily cleaning, and has no unpleasant odors.

I just needed a bed to sleep in the city while exploring what the Melbourne CBD has to offer. To my amazement the YHA exceeded my expectations. The shared bathrooms were clean with toiletries and hair dryers. Loved the concept of shared kitchen to prep your own food while there’s barista made coffee and cocktails in the lobby for purchase. While hanging out, I met other travellers and made friends too. I checked out early to explore more before leaving, luggage storage was convenient and I even got a towel to shower before I left. Point to note, ask for a room away from the side alley as you will be able to hear the rubbish truck early in the morning and smells coming through if you leave the window open. There’s no ventilation if you don’t keep the window open. I took a four bed sharing and the air can be stale if the windows are closed.

:) Little drifter has the biggest kitchen I’ve seen among the hostels I stayed at. I stayed in both the 4-bed and 6-bed female dorms—both were clean. There was also enough hot water in the bathroom.
:( The door slammed shut really loudly. And the path outside the front door is difficult for luggage.
I stayed 3 nights but easily could stay the whole week there. Well-equipped kitchen, laundry (paid), clean bathrooms, free parking, and I was lucky to stay alone in my dorm room.
This was one of the best yha we have stayed at. The room was bare but that is to be expected. The amenities, by contrast, were excellent: Two well appointed kichens with nice pans and plenty of space; A roof area and multiple living room areas; an herb garden and plenty of recycling areas; and the games and TV area looked brand new and not old and worn out . The kids enjoyed it and so did we. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended!
We had a great stay in a comfortable and spacious room. Location is also great and public transport is close. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Value for money, the price is unbeatable for Australia.
The hotel is okay and very convenient. There is a kitchen and restaurant on the first floor. It is very lively. The town is not big and everyone gets off work after dark. There are only two streets in the whole town. There is a supermarket that closes at 7pm. It is very quiet. The gas station is always open and sells food.
Great location just a five minute drive to Woolies. The room is very clean with plenty of supplies like plates, bowls, tablewares, cotton swabs... The owner is pretty kind as well. Affordable and quality accommodations.
Lovely vibes, cool chill areas, community bar and community events plus the staff especially the lovely guy who booked me in was Amazing. However it's a very crappy old building with Nil working properly showers and broken toilets. I had 1 night in a nice female room which I barely even saw as I was out and Tried to rest at a 2nd booking being shoved into a mixed smelly weird noisy dorm on a top bunk with ****** knocking on the door at all hrs, one guy snoring and another twat on the phone I told off. Was stressful and I hadn't a Warm shower in a working functioning bathroom in 2 days. Not returning. If you like noisy rude tourists and old buildings with no lift carrying your bags everywhere and no showers, great!

TTiantianyunyouThe hotel is about an eight-minute walk from the Southern Cross Airport bus stop. The front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early. The room, though compact, had everything we needed. The only downside was the somewhat limited space in the shower. I'd recommend this hotel for those catching an early flight.
GGuest UserVery clean, nice renovated rooms with all amenities including microwave. Very comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of luggage space. Coffee/tea/sugar and biscuits. Each room has it's own designated parking. Reception woman was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be staying again soon

GGuest User1. The location is very good, very close to the famous Victoria Market, and opposite is Victoria Market, you can go to eat seafood at 6 am.
2. It is not far from the SKYBUS boarding point, about 500 meters walk, two tram stops, and then walk 500 meters to arrive. Melbourne's trams are free and very convenient to ride.
3. It is about 2 tram stops away from the city center, not far from the University of Melbourne and the National Library. There is a supermarket 200 meters away, and there are Asian supermarkets and restaurants downstairs, so eating is not a problem. It is not far from Chinatown.
4. The youth hostel is upstairs, and you have to carry your suitcase upstairs. The front desk is Chinese, and the communication is very smooth.
5. The kitchen is on the second floor, there are not many bowls and knives and forks, but there are many pots, boiling pots, and frying pots.
6. The room hygiene is average. I live in an 8-person female room, which has a urine smell. The flight of the companions who came to play together was one day earlier than mine, so I didn't book an extra hotel. I just made do with one night and left in time for the flight. It's OK for one night. If you stay for a long time, you should jump to a better bed.
7. There is a 50-year-old man in our room, who is very brave.
8. When cooking in the kitchen, it seems that everyone eats very simple food, whether Chinese or foreign, they all eat instant noodles. Only I bought shrimp and salmon to cook. There is an Indian who makes curry chicken. There is free hot water in the kitchen.
GGuest UserI had a great stay at Best Western Crystal Inn. At first, I was told check-in was only after 2pm, but later the staff kindly called me and said I could check in early. That was very helpful!
There is free parking on the ground floor, and my room was on the first floor, so it was quiet with no noise from cars. The location is very convenient — just a 10-minute drive to the City Centre.
The room was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was especially large and clean. Thank you to the friendly staff for the good service!
