My First Hostel Experience — And It Was a Blast!
Ostello Bello Palermo was my first-ever hostel stay, and honestly — it was an amazing surprise! At first, I was placed in a room with all guys, but when I asked to switch, the staff quickly and kindly arranged a change for me. Each room has 11 beds and 2 showers, and everything was super clean, which I really appreciated. The common area is lovely — warm, welcoming, and full of life. That night, there was a DJ party that lasted until 1 a.m., and sleeping was definitely not an option… but I was in the spirit of experimentation, so I just went with it and ended up dancing and having a great time. I met some amazing local musicians who were born in Palermo, and we had such a fun night hanging out and talking. It felt like a truly authentic and spontaneous experience. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly — especially one guy at the reception (I wish I remembered his name!) who was just the sweetest. Thank you for making my first hostel stay so special. I’ll never forget it 💛

Very well located with bus stop nearby but think to clarify that it is in a residence, with a porter because there is no indication with the name of the hostel in front of the portal.
Very good varied breakfast, mineral water distributor or free gas
The luxury women's bedroom would be perfect if the beds had cortinas for more intimacy and hands washing in the bathroom.

The hotel is located near the train station and bus terminal 🚉, some distance from the city center, but you can walk to various attractions, the overall environment is well maintained, there is an open kitchen to use, free coffee ☕️ (made by yourself using mocha pot), the counter staff is very good at serving, Luggage can be stored 🧳

The previous few times I stayed at B&B for difficult problems. I chose this hostel on the last night. Although the conditions are not as good as the hotel, it is very close to the train station and it is convenient to catch an early flight the next day. There were two young volunteers on duty. We were alone on the day. The single bed was OK, the cover was very comfortable, and the bath water was good. I had a good night's sleep.

Sono arrivato molto tempo prima dell'orario previsto per il check-in ma non avevo avuto l'accortezza di avvisare prima. Ho comunque provato a contattare la Signora Anna e mi ha raggiunto in struttura per farmi accomodare, mi ha preparato la stanza e dato subito le chiavi.
Una cortesia non per forza dovuta, non scontata, non aspettata ma ricevuta con impagabile cortesia.
Stessa cosa in fase di checkout, la signora Anna mi ha lasciato la casa a disposizione fino a quando dovevo partire, ovvero nel tardo pomeriggio.
In riferimento alla struttura, la casa è in una posizione abbastanza comoda rispetto alle fermate degli autobus e non lontana da diverse zone di interesse raggiungibili anche a piedi. Bagno completo, acqua calda sempre disponibile, cucina full optional, temperatura della stanza da letto perfetta.
Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.
