Lovely hotel! very convenient and close to the city! we stayed in 2-bedroom connecting apartment for just 2 of us, so comfortable as it was spacious and the bathroom has a washing machine & dryer which works so well for our laundry! Lovely kind staff & hotel manager to, allowing us to be able check in early at 11am due to our early flight landing! Of course after earlier notification so that the hotel can get the room ready! Thank you for the hospitality & will be back here for sure if i return visiting NZ again!

The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Morry Creek. The only minor hiccup was that the motel's email had the wrong room number, so it took us a few minutes to find our room. Our suite was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was well-equipped with an electric heater and electric blankets. We also tried New Zealand's 'national dish' – the chicken pie – at the convenience store just a minute's walk away. It was delicious! Definitely don't miss it, as you won't find a pie with such great value for money anywhere else on the South Island, haha.

Best place we’ve stayed in New Zealand!!! Very clean, nice view, amazing amenities and friendly host. The best thing is they have a clean and good hot tub (nice view as well). We wake up with a super nice mountain view and the breakfast is amazing. The host is very nice and let us know about the activities we can do around Kaikoura!! Everything is exactly like the description and images they post👍👍👍

The location was good and the staff were very kind. You can borrow pots and other cooking utensils by asking the staff. It was clean and nice.

The room was clean and tidy. The boss and the staff were very nice. We arrived in the morning and went to the hotel to store our luggage. We happened to meet the boss (who is Chinese). We, an old couple, did not speak well, so we asked for the boss's phone number and discussed: Can you help me call a taxi when I return to the hotel in the afternoon? The boss directly said: Call me when you need me, I will pick you up, which touched me very much. When I called, the boss was actually busy, and then he came to pick us up without saying a word, sent us back to the hotel and went out to do business. I apologized and wanted to pay for the fare, but the boss refused to accept it. Their staff is also very good. After checking in, she told us about some of the surrounding dining and entertainment. We also asked some questions. She helped us find out and told us the next morning. The most home-like place to live in New Zealand, warm and comfortable. Friends who go to Kaikoura will definitely recommend this hotel. It is very convenient to the town center, intercity bus station, whale watching, and the train station (the same place as whale watching). It can be reached in 5-10 minutes. Thank you!

I had a fantastic stay at Christchurch Tasman Holiday Park! The location is perfect — close enough to the city for convenience, yet peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. The grounds are well-maintained, clean, and spacious, making it ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers. The facilities are excellent, with modern amenities including clean bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens, and comfortable communal areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I especially appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of accommodation options available, from powered sites to cozy cabins. Highly recommend this holiday park for anyone visiting Christchurch

This hotel stay was truly exceptional, offering a wonderful combination of a peaceful, quiet location and top-notch amenities. The best part was the ability to gaze up at the stars through the large windows - the perfect way to end each evening. The check-in process was seamless, with the owner providing the password to the key box ahead of time so we could access the unit with ease. Once inside, we were impressed by the large, spacious layout and the high-quality kitchen equipment. The added touch of having two comfortable bean bag chairs for stargazing was such a lovely and thoughtful detail. And having two bathrooms was a huge plus, especially when traveling as a family. Overall, the combination of the quiet, scenic location, well-appointed unit, and attentive host made this one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We'd absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional stargazing opportunities. It's a hidden gem!
