Very Good
GGuest UserThis bed and breakfast is located walking distance from downtown Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. The host for my 2-night stay at Northside could not have been more welcoming. The room with private bath (good hot water) and double bed was clean and spacious. A small ”retro” refrigerator that worked well and parking that was steps away from the door were nice conveniences. Weather was cool at night, so I cannot comment on A/C. Breakfast was varied with plenty of fruit, biscuits & gravy, baked goods & coffee. I would stay here again.
GGuest UserWe chose this Inn because it was close to the friends we were visiting for a graduation party. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. It’s not a new building so it has some creaks and cracks, but the ambience was fabulous.
There’s no front desk, but a staff member came to meet us and the check in process was easy.
We decided to extend out start and again the staff was so accommodating despite the inconvenience it caused them.
I would stay here again.
GGuest UserA very enjoyable experience overall. We stayed in the attic loft, which housed three of us, though all but two of the beds don’t give a whole lot of headroom, so that area may be better for families with small kids. The common area is well-decorated and interesting, and there are Girl Scout cookies laid out every day. The breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.
GGuest UserThe house is charming, with the lot of character and in a great location. The room was very spacious and very clean. Steffan is also very welcoming, friendly and he made a delicious breakfast.
GGuest UserPool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was disappointing. Bed was very firm-messed my sleep and back up since it was so hard. Room was very clean.
GGuest UserA very satisfying living experience! First, it is very close to the UMich campus, only 15 minutes walk, and free parking is available; second, the hotel is very unique, with a history of more than 100 years, each room has a different theme, beautifully decorated, warmly furnished, and the experience is very different from those business hotels; third, the price is not expensive, classic gourmet breakfast, and a self-service kitchen is provided; fourth, the hotel owner is a Chinese compatriot, the service is thoughtful and the hospitality is warm; fifth, the surrounding area is in a wealthy area, with beautiful scenery, safe and quiet. I will patronize it next time I go, it is highly recommended!
