What a special treat this was! We loved the little honesty bar at the pool and the vintage camera collection in the lounge. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a delicious highlight. Thank you for looking after us with such professional hospitality.

This stay was absolutely breathtaking. The views are amazing, so is the service and amenities. Would definitely suggest more than an overnight stay, there’s so much to do on the property itself.

Stayed here 2 nights over the weekend as a solo traveller on a business trip. Absolutely faultless. Set off the main road at the edge of Camps Bay, this is a private very well run hotel. The staff right from the off were very helpful, pleasant and couldn't do enough for me. The room was spotless with great amenities, a super view and quiet. I really enjoyed the breakfast options - well presented, great selection and of high quality. Arranged without fault taxi transport, massage and brilliant recommendation for a private tour (Theo). I would certainly come back to Ocean View House and I would recommend without hesitation.

This was my second time staying at the Muize B&B. Its a lovely, comfortable and welcoming B&B in a great location. The rooms are spacious and clean with great views to the front of the property. Meg is lovely and answered any questions I had. The breakfast everyday was very good too. Fresh fruit, cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast! I will be back to stay again when next visiting.

This bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down. We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used. On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place. The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time) There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away. Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe. Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have. 3/10 would probably not go there again.

We visited Botlierskop as day visitors to do a safari from horseback, and it was simply the most amazing thing I have ever done from the back of a horse. We did the 3.5 hour outride with our fantastic guide Victor. Both my husband and i are experienced riders, and if you are considering doing this, be honest about your riding skills. You will ride, at pace, over some steep terrain, on fast, fit, fearless little horses. But the best part of this is that you will get heartstoppingly close to some of the largest wild animals on the planet. Rhino, elephant, giraffe, antelope, everything except lions! It was thrilling. Your pictures will tell a story that you will carry for the rest of your life! This was a unique experience and I'm grateful to Victor for his knowledge in keeping us safe around these magnificent wild animals.

We had an appointment in Gordon's bay the Monday and turned it into a stay. I called an agent who advised me and I then booked online. The staff go above and beyond. Such a peaceful stay at the apartments. Everything was enjoyable. The beds very comfy, love the corner bath in the bathroom, I love a bath and my friend a shower, so we were both happy about that. Lounge, kitchen and dining area is comfy. 2 swing chairs outside under the tree. Swimming pool. Its 1 road from the guesthouse which has it's own pool. 1 road from the beach, good location. What an amazing gem in the heart of Oudtshoorn. From the arrival, everything was 5 star. The check in was seamless, there was welcoming drinks to cool us down after a long drive and the staff deserve a 10/10! My family were disappointed that I had only booked one night but made me promise that we would come back for a weekend very soon. And bonus, they even washed our car! You will definitely not be disappointed, this is one of the best hotels in Oudtshoorn!

From the booking which we had to change but it was an effortless exercise, they could not have been more helpful to the warmest welcome in arrival. We had the most beautiful room with the best view in the world. They could not have been more welcoming. It's probably our top destination. We were made to feel at home in the bar and had drinks enjoying the best view. Our dinner reservations were made by Francois. Breakfast the following morning was a feast. This is a highly recommended heavenly stop. Thank you to all.

This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The staff and cottages were amazing!!! Let's start with the (only small) negatives... the cottages are a little remote from Knysna centre so you are reliant on using Uber. There is a wonderful on-site pub, but it stops serving food quite early. Plus it is hard to get cars back after 10pm at night. Therefore, some people may be better off staying more centrally. HOWEVER, nowhere else will match the beauty and tranquility of these cottages! The perfect place to relax! Stock up from a supermarket and build a new home!

If you want to live in a special hotel in South Africa by car, you can choose it by looking at the picture evaluation. First of all, the location of the hotel is very partial. I walked 30km mountain road from George, and then walked a dirt road to get there. I was scared for fear of breaking the low chassis of the borrowed Polo. When I arrived, there was really a giraffe in the lobby of the hotel, one, only one, which was better than the photos taken in other hotels in Africa, but it was not very good. The villa we stayed in had two rooms with 5 beds, and the two of us felt very big. The second is experience, and other experience accommodations in South Africa, this is really a farmhouse, 1,300 yuan per night, breakfast is very simple buffet, the rest of the meals are not included. Compared with the Pilinsburg Shepherd, others 3000➕, three meals included, two hunts, 3 hours. The three meals are exquisite, and the rooms are good. This one is really not good. Maybe I don’t know how he can pay for it.

Roseroc was a wonderful experience. The room was lovely and comfortable with all the facilities you would need. We recommend the sea view room which s well worth the slight extra charge. Breakfast was a sheer delight (try the Roseroc poached egg) and our genial host Kevin is a veritable mine of information. He recommended restaurants and ”must see” parts of Knysna and we were glad we took his advice. We plan to visit SA again and will definitely stay here again. Ros & Gino

We had a spiffing stay at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the upstairs in the charming old traditional thatch roof building, staying in the room call Superior King Suite 2. From this room, you can look down the valley to see the mountains, as well as overlooking the beautiful resort pool. The pool is a very good size and features comfy sun beds, perfect for relaxation. The guest house is just a short walk from the main town, making it very serene and quiet. While sitting in the garden, you can hear the soothing sounds of songbirds and crickets. The staff are incredibly kind, with Elmarie standing out for her attentiveness and warmth. :-) The breakfast is delicious, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. look forward to our return trip, Many Thanks
