Travelled here with my dad
Beautiful location within the fort walls of Galle fort and gives u that colonial vibe
Hotel has wooden flooring and has the modern look as well
Extremely helpful staff
House very centrally located in the old town. Rooms have A/C and private bathroom. There are many cafes, restaurants and galleries just a few meters from the hotel. The bus and train stations are about a 20-minute walk outside the old town. There is a small kitchen in the house for making coffee, tea and almost noodles.
The guest house is located in the historical center in a building from those years. They greet you very friendly with a smile and a welcome drink. The room is small, clean, quite suitable for an overnight stay. All attractions are within walking distance
The house is new and pretty, a loft. There is a kitchen in the room where you can cook. The bathroom is large with a bathtub and a washing machine. There are many trees in the yard, and there are naughty monkeys.
Very cozy place, two beaches, shops, restaurants nearby. The hotel itself has great food, great massage, nice pool. The room is small, everything is clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. We liked everything very much. Thank you!
The room is facing the beach and the sunset, very beautiful, sharing the same sea view with the global 100 villa hotel next door. The location of the hotel is not very easy to find, but it is right to follow Google Maps. The fly in the ointment is that there is a power outage at night. The small hotel has no emergency measures. There will be many bugs flying in the flashlight room. The cockroaches can quietly wait for the power to be restored on the balcony.
Located in the Galle Fortress, very close to the lighthouse, colonial charm, very friendly staff! Double room with 2 beds on the ground floor, rather dark, unfortunately full of cracks and therefore full of mosquitoes, air conditioning somewhat unreliable, mosquito nets for both beds more like a cloth coffin feeling... No kettle, room rather cramped, cleanliness okay, shower with good water pressure and warm, breakfast plentiful and delicious (coffee/tea, juice, a plate full of fruit, fried egg or omelette with sausages, toast with jam all you can eat, really absolutely delicious!

GGuest UserA great hotel, location is very convenient. Near fish and fruit markets, bus station, currency exchange, supermarkets, wineshops and most importantly to the clean Hickey beach 4 minutes walk. The staff at the hotel handled their top-level tasks. I haven't seen the room clean so long. Bed-white. I was in the room with sea view ... a huge balcony with a dryer with a table and chairs. Water is always hot. Teapot, refrigerator, adapter, fan is all in the room. The most important is a common, clean kitchen - where there is microwave, baking, stove. And all in perfect cleanness. Thank you the huge host of the hotel Rajesh - met and held as a dear guest! The advice from the soul, as it is checked on itself)))
AAnonymous UserMy wife and I stayed here during our vacation in Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the high Google ratings. The location really impressed us. The hotel is literally a step away from the beach and less than five minutes’ walk to town, which made it very convenient. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the waves was easily the best part of the stay.
The lobby was simple but acceptable, and there is a seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.
At check-in, there was a small hiccup. I booked through Trip.com, but they couldn’t find my booking at first. After about ten minutes, they managed to sort it out and confirmed that the booking came via Agoda. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, even offering us a drink on arrival.
Our room on the second floor had a great view of the sea. The shower had good water pressure, although the bathroom could use better ventilation. The toiletries seemed diluted, so we ended up using our own.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning became a real problem. It leaked so badly that the room flooded twice, soaking my shoes. Despite my request for a pail to manage the water, they initially only gave floor mats, which was very frustrating. By the time they finally sent a pail, it was too late. We barely slept that night because of the constant dripping sound.
Overall, the location and friendliness of the staff were strong points, but the poor handling of the air conditioning issue really spoiled our experience.
JJM_9The hotel is very great to stay. Air conditioner and great hot shower provided. They would pack you the breakfast if you are going to Safari in morning.
GGuest UserAlthough it takes you about 15 minutes to get
'guesthouse' from Galle-railway station,
along the main street on the way to
'guesthouse ',there is a big supermarket
with eat-in space.
So,it will be convenient for you to go shopping
the daily necessities and foods.
A friendly owner runs this guesthouse.
As he seemed to take an interest in
studying about the foreign cultures,
especially East Asian.
I was so absorbed in a conversation with
him until late at night.
In the guest house property,
there is not a big swimming pool for guests,
but also a lot of tropical tree...
for instance,Guava,Cinnamon , Mango
trees and so on.
Maybe you will feel like
you have a something of an adventure
while taking a turn in the garden.
A guest room l spent was a large one with a
mosquito net and an electric fan.
Although my room doesn't have air-
conditioning,
it is relatively comfortable for me to stay in one-night.
If I have a chance to go on a trip in Galle,
I would like to visit here again.
Thank you for reading my long document.
古古荡桥Four people booked two rooms. This one is on the first floor. The facilities are average, but they are air-conditioned. They ordered the whale watching boat ticket from the boss the next day. The ticket was handed to the driver. The driver changed the cruise ship and made a difference.
GGuest UserThere was hot water and toiletries, which is a marked upgrade from some of the other places in Sri Lanka. The bed was very comfortable & they had adequate towels, which was also not common in many places where I have stayed in Sri Lanka. The food was relatively unremarkable, advertising basil & rosemary ice cream, when in reality, it was just vanilla ice cream with dried herbs sprinkled on top. Maybe stick with the Sri Lankan country dishes. An easy walk to a quiet beach, wild surroundings but also had a TV with working cable channels. The bungalow was elegantly furnished with small animals right outside your door.
Llloid8888Very esteticall and herritage, but modern equipted cosy little hotel. Strange but seems to me its most intersting and nice equipeted hotel that i seen on island during my travel(include 5 *hotel by the way). One problem that its difficult to find out where it placed on. And little bit dusty tv set behind. Breakfast by menu. Good experience. Recomend to visit on.
GGuest UserWe were staying in My Village as we wanted to experience safari (by third party) at Yala National Park. The area is a little more secluded but split into two sides where we put up at the rooms next to the pool. As it was raining every day whilst we stayed there, we didn't get a chance to swim but it looked great for cooling down. Our room was clean and great value. However what surprised us was the quality of food for dinner as it was prepared fresh upon order. Also enjoyed the packed breakfast they prepared for our safari. Only comment would be the number of insects and mosquitoes, but mosquito coils can be requested. Over all, a pleasant stay with efficient service and AC.
TTriptacular7We stayed for a week at this hotel and later prolonged our stay after traveling to other places in Sri Lanka. Mirissa is amazing. And this hotel's location is perfect, next to beautiful Zouk restaurant. We could also relax on the terrace and enjoy the sunset, watching flying foxes. The room was nice and clean. We had everything we needed. The best local breakfast we have had in Sri Lanka with green curry. The owner family is incredibly nice and friendly. They helped us with any question and were always polite and smiling. It was a very pleasant stay. When we return to Sri Lanka we'll stay at this hotel in Mirissa.
GGuest UserHidden away nearby from the busy main road in Ahangama this is a really nice play to stay which I can recommend. Although I travelled with members of my family, we all had separate rooms, which look out onto a green grassy courtyard area with the swimming pool nearby.
Jude as the new General Manager is one of the friendliest and most hospitable people in the whole of Sri Lanka and goes out of your way to make you feel at home in the hotel and welcome in Sri Lanka! I was ill with an upset stomach for a few days while there and he was most helpful in getting me better.
Lots to see and do in Ahangama and nearby areas so it's worth staying here!
