Fifteen years ago, entering and exiting was a hassle because it relied on a password, but now they provide a card, making access much easier. It's quite clean, likely due to frequent cleaning. If it's not peak season, I can have a large room all to myself. It's affordable, and I can toast bagels for breakfast. The Wi-Fi works well, which is a plus since some regular hotels don't even have it. It's really cheap. Seems like a good option for solo travelers.

It would have been really important to mention that they have cats. You know. To someone like me who is very allergic to cats. I have emergency medication for this kind of BS. I was there one night but I would have rebooked if was not way too late. 1 night of sleepless wheezing misery. Without the allergy thing, the rooms were hot and airless. People were leaving the doors open and using fans to blow around the cat dander, I mean air. It's not safe to leave doors open, but that's the guests.
The ladder for the top bunk (bunkbed) had one side not covered. It's sharp metal and easy to cut yourself on. These issues are not hard to fix, hopefully they can improve, since that location is perfect for walking to and from concerts. Hey if you love cats, still be careful, this neighbourhood can be dangerous.

The service staff was very friendly, which I appreciated. But there are a lot of homeless people nearby, which is disturbing. The room has no ventilation, seems to have not been cleaned, and the facilities are also very poor. Since I booked the hotel at the last minute and the price was not high, I accepted it. The hotel has two locks, but the odd tenant is a little unsettling. Thank you very much to the receptionist for changing me to a more suitable room! If I were given a choice again, I would not choose this hotel. I still appreciate every service member's help. Breakfast is a simple buffet with hard-boiled eggs, toast and juice. Dinner was simple rice with sauce on top. There are many supermarkets nearby. You can choose to go shopping on your own, but be sure to avoid the hordes of homeless people.

The only upside was the central location. The Tunisian guy at the front desk who handled my check-out on the morning of the 11th was very handsome. Everything else was a major letdown. The room was extremely cramped, and there were no personal toiletries or slippers provided.
Best hostel I've stayed at in Canada during g my time here. Clean, lots to do and a large kitchen area for you to cook if you don't want to eat out.great Location just off the highway and is in close distance to the chief, Shannon falls downtown and so much more.

EEM@@Really nice spot to stop over for a couple of nights. The locations is just on the outskirts of town. However, they offer a free shuttle into the town in the evenings. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. There is laundry facilities on site too as well as a hot tub.
Breakfast was great, really enjoyed the waffles. And plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay again.
GGuest UserAvid traveller and honest review. Booked 3 days and got an older room with a plug in oil heater and fan because baseboard not renovated. Crowded plug in and power bar behind a dusty tv to run it all. But budget so rather expected a few things. Had to stay one more day so booked online , got a better room but upon arriving found a young women passed out briefly with a “pipe” in her hand right at the entrance and because children where on premise I reported as I booked in and it seemed blown off. A man then lead said girl in who was obviously “working” but also in no shape to give consent and I said to the clerk exactly that as well that she had blood down the back of her legs, who seemed to blow it off. I am disturbed with the fact that the young woman was easily going to be victimized. So , if you are ok with that, and no guarantee of your room quality then this is the place . Horrible accommodation, no ,I’ve seen worse, and second room was certain up to par, but the neighbourhood may also allow for other types of “stays” it seems because it was absolutely blatant. But hey, it was cheap!
GGuest UserExcellent spot in Kelowna, have stayed in many hotels/motels there as well as lived there, nice area close to everything … this has a private courtyard, picnic tables, bbq, pool, games outside which are right there, perfect for families, super friendly people who run the place, nobody harrrasing you when you have a smoke outside (even tho they have the usual rules), direct room access outside, easy for loading/unloading luggage, super nice renovated suites with big screen tv, large kitchen, meeting table, outside patio on each suite, you can’t get any better than this and it’s a fraction of the price of the mainstream hotels where you need to take an elevator, walk a mile to go outside for a smoke and feel like a bird in a cage …. and have no patio access. This is a hidden gem in Kelowna, it’s the best hotel/motel for one of the lowest prices in the city. I lived here for years, and stayed in most of them since I’m travelling here for business every 3 weeks. 5 stars …. You will be shocked how cool this place is … You are welcome!
MM19055****For this price in Vancouver, it's really great value for money. It's a guesthouse located in a villa, and it's exceptionally clean. I woke up several times during the night due to jet lag, and there wasn't a single bug in the kitchen or bathroom, which shows how meticulous the host is about cleanliness. The only minor downside was that the bed sagged a bit in the middle. The host was easy to reach via WeChat, which was very convenient. Airport transfers were 30 CAD per trip. If I have a layover in Vancouver again, I'll definitely stay here.

DDeva.Howard Johnson by Wyndham Downtown Kamloops is a solid choice if you're looking for a place to stay in the city center. It's close to restaurants, shops, and other key spots like the hospital and courthouse. Plus, it's super budget-friendly, which is a major plus.
The hotel itself is a bit older, but it's clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic. Just keep in mind that there's no pool or fancy breakfast spread – it's more of a continental-style breakfast. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a room that faces the back, since the street noise can be pretty loud.
Overall, it's a great choice for a quick stay or if you're on a tight budget. Just don't expect any frills or luxury amenities. It's a no-frills spot that gets the job done, and the location is basically unbeatable.

GGuest UserThe store is very enthusiastic and took the initiative to help us upgrade the room because our family travels. The room is opposite the seaside, a park, and the hotel is very quiet.
GGuest UserFacilities: There is a coffee machine, air conditioning, a 1.8-meter bed and a sofa bed of about 1.35 meters. My friend booked another hotel, which advertised a double bed, but it was actually two 1.35-meter beds. Compared with the hotel he booked, the room here is very spacious. In general, the price-performance ratio is good.
Hygiene: relatively clean
Environment: convenient parking
Service: The waiter helped to open the sofa bed. When he saw that I brought 4 children, he took the initiative to ask me if I wanted to add another blanket. Because the coffee machine and air conditioning were used at the same time, the power was cut off. The front desk guy was very good and went upstairs to solve the problem quickly with one phone call. Wi-Fi requires a code. I said it was a bit difficult to understand on the phone, and he sent it to me again.
Breakfast: Foreign breakfasts cannot be compared with domestic ones. I entered the breakfast room and searched for a long time before I found bread slices and yogurt. Coffee milk is standard, and eggs need to be asked by the waiter. However, it is good for a budget hotel to include breakfast.
