Stayed here the night before we headed up to Huangshan. The owner was really kind and took his time to explain the hiking route on huangshan and gave us recommendations. The location is great, at just a 10 minute walk to the bus station to go up huang shan. The room was comfortable , spacious and cozy. When we came down the mountain, the owner offered to pick us up in the rain. Highly highly recommend staying here!!

If you're visiting Huangshan and looking for a hostel, this is a great choice. You can see Huangshan Mountain from the backyard. Head out the door, and a short walk straight ahead will take you to the South Gate of Huangshan and the Xiaoyaoyou transfer station, where you can queue directly for the buses to Yuping or Yunguxi Cableways. They also have printed Huangshan maps available. The hostess is lovely and provides excellent service. You can also arrange car rides through her. I stayed here for two nights and met a British guy and an Italian girl. It was a joy to use my broken English to tell them about ways to explore Huangshan and answer their questions.

Location is good, walking distance to old town and bus station, the bed is spacious but could be more comfortable. I needed to wait about 15 minutes at the empty reception until checking in, and I had to be the one to ”make a move” and say I wanted to check in when someone arrived there, otherwise I would be just standing there at the reception with my backpack and no one would approach me or say anything. They give bottled water daily, though

This hostel is truly exceptional nationwide, offering incredible value for money, and better service than even much larger chains like Atour or Ji Hotel. Planning to hike Huangshan? At 8 PM, there's a fantastic, half-hour briefing on the Huangshan routes. I'd arrived from Shangrao, heading straight for the Celestial Capital Peak, and just went with the flow. After the briefing, I understood everything and received great advice. No hiking gear? They provide free trekking poles – just grab one! If you're in a rush, you can even take it with you, just return it later for others to use. Forgot supplies? They have everything you need for hiking – food, gear, gloves, you name it. Worried about prices? They're cheaper than any supermarket outside! Best of all, water is complimentary; grab as much as you need as long as you're not too tired from hiking. Solo traveler with no friends? After the 8 PM briefing, you can easily team up with others. There's no shortage of groups here! While other hostels have dormant chat groups, this one is vibrant and truly fosters a communal, friendly atmosphere. Worried about checking out after only one night if you're hiking all day? Just leave your room card at the front desk in the morning before your hike, store your belongings in the communal luggage room, and pick them up after you descend. That's exactly what I did. After a sweaty hike, I planned to pay for a shower before leaving, but the owner told me I could shower for free! He even offered me a bottle of water before I left! The location is superb. In the morning, it's just a 15-minute walk to the Xiaoyao Stream transfer station. After descending, it's only a 5-minute walk back from Tangkou Bridge. I've stayed in nearly 30 hostels across various cities and provinces, including Atour and Ji Hotel, but this one left a lasting impression. If I ever return to Huangshan, even if other places cost tens of yuan a night and this one hundreds, I would still only consider staying here. I'm truly grateful to the owner for allowing me to clean up after my hike without having to extend my stay. The last two pictures confirm the authenticity of this review.

I stayed in Hongcun for two nights, and this hostel was the most gentle haven amidst the misty rain. The plum rain season washed every leaf until it glistened, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and grass. I stayed in a wooden cabin, and the rain pattered on the eaves all night, a simple white noise from nature. Falling asleep to the sound of rain felt like returning to childhood, a long-lost tranquility. In the evening, the owner played and sang folk songs for us on the ukulele, their melodies blending into the sound of the rain. Outside, a fine drizzle wove through the air; inside, the lights were dim and warm. I held a cup of hot milk tea in my hands (it was made with real milk, rich and sweet, not a perfunctory powder mix – truly delicious 😋). A small cat sat under the eaves listening to the rain, while I worked on crafts, the rustle of needle and thread accompanying the lingering music. Rain, hot milk tea, folk songs, a little cat, and handmade crafts – these beautiful words layered together unexpectedly created a nearly luxurious stretch of time. Even luckier, I met several pure-hearted girls here. The plum rain didn't trap us; instead, it brought us together. We chatted, shared stories, and exchanged smiles. Though we were strangers meeting by chance, we shared a brief and wonderful time. Scenery tends to fade, and photos will yellow, but those moments filled with warmth will not disappear. They settle deep in our memories, resurfacing suddenly on a weary evening in the future, reminding you: this world is worth repeatedly venturing into. Travel isn't about escaping life, but about making life broader. To encounter mountains, rivers, and seas; to meet gentle people; to meet the light and authentic self hidden by daily routines. Resting by the water, listening to the misty rain, Dreaming of Huizhou.

I came to Huangshan with my colleagues. After booking a hotel, the hotel owner contacted me and asked if I needed help with carpooling from the high-speed rail. The boss also found a very reliable driver to take us to the hotel safely! They also sent us to the transfer center for free early the next morning, which basically helped us solve our travel problems. It felt very considerate for us coming to a strange place! The hotel is also very clean, with large windows and good air circulation. The quilt also smells like it has been in the sun! The food cooked by my aunt was also delicious, and it only cost a few dozen yuan for the two of us! For a scenic spot, this price is very affordable! It was off-season when we made the reservation, and the price was very affordable and very cost-effective! I will also recommend this hotel to friends who come to visit later.

Service level: The boss and the proprietress are enthusiastic. If there is a need, you can discuss with the boss or the proprietress and they will help us! Infrastructure: Complete facilities, whether it is a hair dryer, or a bathroom and toilet, they are quite up to the domestic standard! Health and safety: For such a hotel, health is quite good. Transportation: give a small suggestion, travel must be in advance. The local bus is developed, so there is no need to worry about inconvenience. Solve eating: the boss's house is cooking, don't worry about hunger at all, it is also affordable!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location with excellent surrounding amenities; a large shopping mall is just across the street. What I appreciated most was the Hema Fresh supermarket inside the mall – incredibly convenient for dining. The customer service representative was very welcoming and proactively upgraded my room. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and even had a washing machine. Special praise was due to the bedding and incredibly comfortable pillows. The hotel was also impeccably clean. In short, this hotel excels in location, amenities, service, and cleanliness.

This homestay is cost-effective, convenient parking, spacious rooms, there is a restaurant downstairs, and it is convenient to eat. After coming out of the highway, it is Qishu Lake. The proprietress and the little girl are enthusiastic. It is a homestay worth staying in Hongcun.
