The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the atmosphere was great, the staff were polite and welcoming. There will be movies to watch in the evening, and the clerk will give out prepared travel guides. The location is very close to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake. The employee meals in the store are affordable and delicious. It is suitable for people traveling alone to experience it. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the pace is slow and light. It makes people want to stay for a few more days.

I especially recommend Jiahezhu if you are going to visit Zhangye before or after planting trees. The owner is very nice, the bed is very big, and the sanitary environment is also good.
It is within walking distance of the night market and within the free shuttle service to Qicai Danxia, Mati Temple and the Grand Canyon.
I was particularly lucky that on the second day of my stay, a roommate also came to plant trees. We had the same itinerary, so we played together. Very happy ❗️

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. I loved the communal spaces as well; they were great for unwinding and connecting with other travelers.
The hotel’s location is ideal, conveniently situated near popular attractions and public transportation especially the desert (Yue Ya Quan), making it easy to get around the city. The vibrant decor and youthful energy really added to the overall charm of the place.

Such a fantastic place to stay. In particular I want to mention the hospitality of the hosts. They were so kind and helpful and they were always available for questions. And they spoke good English, which was a big plus point for me. And by booking tours solo traveler can easily get in touch was other travelers. Zhangye and the hostel will remain in my memory.

Great location, right in the night market (surprisingly not too loud from my experience) and also very close to the bus to the airport/train station/Mogao Caves. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave information about the area and places to eat and also helped me book a tour. The facilities were also great, with clean showers and a large area for reading/relaxing. Excellent place overall!
The lady boss is super nice! I managed to get an entire study tour group together in one night, and was lucky enough to get a free meal from the proprietress. Hahaha. Although we didn't stay for long, the proprietress was really humorous and charming. In the end, I also got a free meal from the boss. It was a great experience, which left me with a very unique impression of Jiayuguan!

Good:
- The reception staff was very nice and helpful, they organized our transfer to Mati si
- The location was good, close to the food street and bus station to go to Zhangye danxia colorful mountain
- There were enough amenities (kettle, cups, tooth brush...) but the towels were very small.
Bad:
- The cleanliness was not great, lots of hairs on the floor, and dust on furniture.
- The mattress wasn't a mattress but a wooden plank we felt like fakirs.
- The shower head was leaking from every side and the drain was smelling very bad in the morning
- The isolation was bad, we could hear everything happening in the alley downstairs or in the room next door.
Also there were mosquitoes in the room but the hostel provides an electronic repellent and a mosquito net on the window.
All in all it wasn't the best hotel but it was cheap and ok.

First of all, the place is easy to find. It's only about a seven or eight minute walk from the subway station and there's a food court downstairs, making it very convenient for eating. The rooms are all air-conditioned, the beds are clean and odor-free, and I'm lucky that the people in the same room slept very quietly. There are two shared bathrooms, which are clean (although some people don't flush the toilet in the middle of the night... The shower head is quite big and the water is hot, so it's very comfortable to take a shower. In addition, the boss is very nice, the overall experience is good, and the price-performance ratio is high.

BBarryFor a start, it is now called the Herdsman Lodge. It is up one flight of steps from the street, no lift. Someone has obviously spent a fair amount of time and attention on the look of the place, but there are some things which would make staying here a better experience. The beds in the capsule are really hard (worse than on a Chinese train) and squeal every time you move. The capsules themselves look nice, but some of the plastic is a bit flimsy. They did supply toilet paper, but if you don't like squat toilets, you're out of luck. The shower cubicles are tiny, I don't know how to shower without getting my clothes wet. There is a drinks fridge, but no drinks are in it, and no water is supplied or available. The water boiler in the kitchen runs out at some stage in the evening.
Big tip: turn left out the door, go to the intersection, turn left and cross the road - the #4 bus goes to the Great Wall Scenic area, where you can see the fort, but not the wall.
BBaoduoEnvironment: The road is a little difficult to find, the innermost alley, the elevator goes to the 8th floor, and then walks 1 floor. It should be a very old youth travel, the facilities are more general, there are many sinks, there are 4, the right hand is the toilet 2 compartments, the left hand is 6 showers.
Service: The boss's service is very good, help recommend delicious food.
Hygiene: There are restrictions on the health of the old youth travel, but the boss has been mopping the floor and the bed is very good.
Facilities: There are some, that is, the bath is a bit cold, the bath heater is a bit broken, everything else is good.

NNuoenThe hostel is a very particular Japanese style place. Although the first night it was a bit cold, the owner let me move to another room and the tatami room was fantastic, warm and cozy. She is definitely the best part of the hostel; a kind and helpful old lady who runs one of the best hostels I have been to. Moreover, the location is perfect and the bathroom are quite clean, plus the laundry service is free!

Good
HHan2 SoloEverything is good , courteous, friendly and professional personnel, very clean and well kept room, good hot water showers except for broken shower head. Situated in town near bus stop and all outlets, food and fashion wears. 10 minutes bus ride from railway station. Strongly recommend to all travellers.
LLinshirouCcPersonally, I am very satisfied with this accommodation experience. The proprietress is super welcoming, the environment is pretty good, and the shower water is very hot and very comfortable, unlike many hotels where the hot water runs out while you are taking a shower. In short, I will continue to stay here when I come to the new district in the future. It is my first choice.
