Excellent hostel! Great common self-catering facilities; there were two full kitchens with plenty of tables and seating so multiple parties could be cooking at a time. Staff were very helpful and let me leave my bag before check-in and after check-out to accommodate my bus times.
The room (4-bunk female dorm) was very spacious so plenty of room for sorting through my bags. Bunk was large and included a USB plug and power outlet there. Room had large attached shower and toilet rooms.
Two bad experiences:
a) The door for the room with 5 ladies including me lived inside was Very Difficult to open. I have to use ALL my effort / energy to open the door. One of their staff tried to solve it but failed.
b) My nail cutter was stolen by one of other 4 ladies.

GGuest UserThe shared kitchen is a big advantage for families and adds to the overall travel experience. The self-service check-in is convenient, and detailed guidance on how to find the house was provided in advance. A small grocery store can be found within a 10-minute walk.
I came across some negative comments about the hostel after booking and felt a bit worried. However, it turned out to be a nice place to stay — it's not a 5-star hotel, after all. Free Wi-Fi is available, and the passcode can be found on a noticeboard.
GGuest UserWell equipped room if you’re looking to be self catering. The welcome was anything but friendly - we sincerely wondered what it was we’d said or not said. Arrived at the wrong moment obviously. The evening meal was nothing to ring home about. Really was the only sad example of fast food - low class mutton dressed up as lamb - in the whole two weeks we spent in Wales, England and Scotland. Definitely would never eat there again. Lack of hospitality practice. Sad really because the site itself is gorgeous.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is small and there are not many rooms. It is a bit like a homestay. It is like living in a British country house. The room is not big. It is good to have some.
The house does not have an elevator. Luggage has to be moved up. In the previous comment, there was no hot water. Maybe the hotel was remodeled. Now the hot water is very abundant and the water pressure is very high.
Dinner is a problem. The location of the hotel restaurant is rarely not booked and the order is stopped at 8:45. I saw that there is a Chinese restaurant nearby. It is actually a Chinese takeaway store. It is not far from walking. The boss and his wife are all Chinese. The dishes are very good. We solved the dinner through the table of their store. It's so fun to meet your fellow citizens in another country!
GGuest UserJames and his wife Sandra are very interesting folk who have travelled in India extensively. They are tuned in to what a backpacker needs and appreciates
GGuest UserIt is quiet place to stay if you like peacefulness, cleanliness, and also the host were nice.
