Hostels in Porto District, Portugal

This hostel completely exceeded my expectations. The location is superb, and I highly recommend taking the #403 bus to the main bus station – it's quick, close, and offers beautiful riverside views along the way. The breakfast was also excellent; I strongly suggest booking a room that includes it. Just the egg tarts alone made me so happy. If I have the chance to visit again, this will be my top choice.

This hostel boasts an excellent location, with cafes and supermarkets right outside the door. The reception staff were incredibly attentive. There's a kitchen on the ground floor, perfect for those who want to cook their own meals. However, some guests smoke on the terrace, which might be an issue for non-smokers. As it's a hostel, people from various countries freely leave their belongings around, so it wasn't the cleanest. That said, it had all the basic necessities, making for a very comfortable stay. For Japanese guests who are particular about cleanliness, I'd recommend bringing sandals for the shower.

This place is so relaxing to stay in! It’s a super nice little cafe with the rooms in the back through locking doors for easy access and security. The service is mostly seen outside your room as there isn’t much to be serviced inside, either way they were very friendly and helpful with menus in different languages and all that. The facilities for our room were all you needed, our “bunks” being cubby’s in the wall with lots of space and a locking compartment below for bags or valuables. The bathroom is tight compared to what I was used to in Canada, but it has your toilet, sink, and shower. What more do you need? Lastly the food was very very good, this was our first stay on our trip from Canada so maybe it’s normal here but it is so fresh and simply tasted awesome! Highly recommend!

Very clean hostel with a great atmosphere. Porto Spot Hostel is spotless and well-maintained. My only small issue was some noise from other guests late at night and early in the morning, but overall it’s a great place to stay in Porto

The property is right in the city center; in a convenient location that allows you to easily get around on foot. Everything is generally clean, both the lobby and the room. The photo in the advert is a bit misleading; the room I was assigned was smaller than the one in the photo, and instead of a small balcony, there was only a window, but it was still very bright. During my stay, the elevator was out of order, which was a major inconvenience: the lobby is on the third floor and the rooms are on the top (fifth), so this is a factor to take into consideration.

Located inside the train station, it boasts excellent accessibility and a convenient location for sightseeing. It's situated within the station famous for its azulejo tile decorations. Nearby are famous McDonald's restaurants, nata (egg tart) shops, and bifana restaurants. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The only drawback is that the rooms are cold. Closing the wooden door by the window helped a little, but the heater-like device near the door seemed weak. It was somewhat noisy outside, but quiet inside the building. As of January 2026, the road in front of the station is under construction, so you may need to take a slight detour depending on your destination.

Loves this hostel but no lift, kitchen is a underground floor, have cooking facility, breakfast is euro three but only bread with jam butter n cheese. Hot drink teh coffee and milk. No eggs no yoghurt. No fruits. Dormitory Room is big with toilet inside. Location is very good. Near to Sao Bento metro. A lot of shopping area around the hostel. Very good, will stay there again. Housekeeping is well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stay four days three nights there.

I booked this hotel because of its impressive interior design. The location, service, and cleanliness were all top-notch. The view from the hotel's common areas is stunning. They also offer free bath towel rentals, which is a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice at breakfast. Besides breakfast, they also have a snack service and coffee available throughout the day, which was great. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance to visit Porto.

I have been traveling for 2 weeks across multiple cities in Europe, staying in several hostels, and so far, this one stands out as superior. First of all, the staff were amazing—very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and well-organized, and the amenities were perfect. I honestly enjoyed my time in there.

Location is really good! I got off the subway station and got to climb some hills, but it was only 5 minutes away. The staff at the hostel was nice and helpful. Although the facilities were mixed for 10 people, the room was really spacious and the bed was very good. 10 people but never crowded. There is a dryer too! I have a locker and give me a locker key. Breakfast is just okay Bread cheese ham juice water coffee It's nice to have a rest outside in the morning. Ah, the Wi-Fi didn't go well in the room. Anyway, it is recommended !!! I'll be here again. And I thought I had a paid winery tour at the hostel, but it felt less organized ..! This is light ...
