|0.31km from Concorde 2The location was amazing! we were right in the middle of the action and everything was very convenient. check-in was great, the gentlemen at the from that helped us check in Callum was super polite and very helpful. The staff at the breakfast was fantastic, my girlfriend's a vegan and they made her fresh vegan sausages at no extra cost! The room was clean and very nice, although it would be great to have some complimentary things like bottles of water or toothbrush/paste nevertheless it was an amazing stay!
also the check out was super easy and hassle-free we just dropped off our room card in a box, super convenient especially if you're on a tight schedule.

The staff were helpful and I met Dana one of the staff when I arrived and had a warm welcome. I needed to contact them via text and they always got back to me and were very helpful.
Good value room and had everything I needed.
I would stay again and recommend. Thanks the Sea Breeze team 😁

|0.54km from Concorde 2The receptionist is very responsive and professional. Anything we asked (toothbrush, toothpaste, ice and then another extra bucket of ice!) they gave it to us promptly. The spa was great, it had two hot tubs that were regularly empty, so you can enjoy one whole hot tub alone with your friends/partner/family; there was a steam room and a sauna and plenty of sofas around the spa where you can cool off; the swimming pool is also only a few steps away, so you can plunge into the cold after the hot treatment. Unfortunately though, there was no available spaces for the treatments (facial, massage, mani/pedi, etc), so I recommend booking beforehand to ensure you get yours. One complaint is that our room's window was stuck and it couldn't be opened, so if it's proper summer weather, it can be difficult to stay there.

|0.42km from Concorde 2My daughter and I loved The Old Ship Hotel. The location was perfect, the beach is just over the road, the Pier was a few minutes walk away and the shops are basically just round the corner. Our room (a twin room) was bigger than I expected. Tea and coffee with a kettle was great as I was gasping for a cuppa when we arrived. They even supplied ear plugs because it can be a little bit noisey at night (this was mainly from the large hotel opposite). Quite a large bathroom, with a bath and shower, and complimentary shower gel, shampoo and soap. The room was clean and no dodgy smells. There was a fan, but we didn't need it, the partially open window was enough. We didn't ask for a room with a sea view, but it could be seen if you looked to the right. We were on the 3rd floor and there is nothing wrong with the lift (ignore other reviews). Breakfast was great, a decent selection to suit everyone. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night; it was amazing! A decent price too. There was loads of seating on the ground floor. The bar was great too. We needed to store our luggage before and after and it was stored securely, with a numbered tag, only staff could access it (unlike a different hotel nearby that simply left your luggage near the reception desk for anyone to access).
Considering the low price we paid, the hotel truly was amazing. Lovely staff, clean everywhere, big rooms, great food, fantastic location, what more could you ask for!
I will be booking again next year. My mum could easily come with us, she uses a walker, and the hotel would definitely be suitable for a less able person.

The room was tiny, and for an older hotel, the lack of a phone and air conditioning was quite unbearable. Luckily, opening the window provided a cool breeze. I booked well in advance, but was surprised to find the price significantly cheaper when I checked on the day of arrival. Their pricing seems very inconsistent.

Title: A Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups
My recent stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton was, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient.
The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel.
While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton.

Offered and switched me to a female dormitory from mixed one upon arrival which i appreciated. The beds can be loud when anyone moves at night, in case anyone's a light sleeper, can be disturbing. Didn't bother me. The pier was just a 2 minutes walk away.

Had to get a taxi to the pier as its a fair walk away but only costs around £7 or there is a bus stop right outside. Overall had a great stay and the room was quite small but very comfortable :)

The bathroom, toiletries and towels good quality. Theres a safe, fridge and good sized wardrobe with shelves . Kettle with tea and coffee also a coffee pod machine to use. We didn’t book for breakfast but it was an option. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would recommend

While navigating to the beach, I took some small paths where I saw a few homeless people and even witnessed a loud argument between a Black and a White person, which was quite unsettling.
The white front desk staff member was completely expressionless. When I asked her if parking near the intersection was allowed for hotel guests, her only reply was, 'Only taxis can park here, I can do nothing.'
To be fair, all the other staff members were very good. Perhaps this particular staff member gets asked about parking too often.
The bathroom sink in our room drained incredibly slowly, almost completely blocked.
The only positive was the fearless and adorable seagulls on our windowsill.
Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place. It's a 20-minute walk to the beach. If your budget allows, or during the off-peak season, I'd advise staying closer to the beach instead.

|1.04km from Concorde 2Note that not all floors are accessible via the elevator. The building is located near the beach. The views maybe disappoint. Walls are thin, so if your neighbors argue, you'll hear it. The rooms are in good nick, with a good bed, shower and toilet. Housekeeping skipped our room and we had to ask for new towels at reception twice, which was disappointing. We didn't try breakfast. There's a convenience store that is open late across the street, and no fewer than three Thai restaurants in the street. Probably not recommended for twenty year olds or parents with kids (need to keep it down!) or for the older set (lack of amenities besides a kettle, hair dryer and wifi). Good for a couple's weekend getaway with activities about town.

Cons Hotel is also a club / pub and is very loud till 4pm during the weekends. All rooms are above the bar / club so had little to no sleep the entire time we were there. They do provide ear plugs in the room but this hotel is suitable for the young ish amongst us of night owls.
Wouldn’t go back but only because of the lack of sleep. Booming bass and a good nights sleep are not a marriage made to work.

I don’t want to discredit anyone else’s experience as they could have fixed some of the issues since other peoples stays but my partner and I both thought it was wonderful! The check in was super easy, the ‘guest house’ area wasn’t in use but who’s spending time in there anyway? The room was stunning! No problems with the cleanliness, noise or amenities. View of the beach front from the room window, hot water for the bath. No problems with the key safe or access to the building/room. I thought it was important to leave this review as the hotel seems to have a bad reputation online but from our experience it was fantastic! We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending!
