Pro - The room has a spectacular sea view. Best place to watch sunrise! The room is decently cleaned and replenished the basic toiletries and disposable towels every day. Con - The pool is closed, especially during this hot and humid weather. The building shows its ages. And the beds feel like solid rock to sleep on it. For people like the sea view and the sound of crashing waves, this is definitely the place. For people like the comfort and luxurious feel, this is probably not the best choice.

I can't recommend this hotel enough!!! I travel frequently and have stayed in countless hotels, but this is the first time I've felt so compelled to leave such a glowing review! Firstly, the room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. It feels like it was renovated just a few years ago, as the facilities are excellent, and the entire place was spotlessly clean and tidy. They even have a projector, which was super convenient for watching movies or shows on a big screen. My absolute favorite part is the hotel's beachfront location. From the higher floors, you get stunning sea views right from your balcony, and you can even catch the sunrise in the morning. It's so easy to head downstairs for a swim or to enjoy the water. The location is also super convenient for exploring, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It's truly fantastic value for money! And the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming.

The room was really spacious, especially the balcony, and we were incredibly satisfied. A huge thank you to the hotel for arranging our stay on the 24th floor, the highest level, which truly delivered on its promise of a 270-degree panoramic sea-view balcony. The pictures I've attached showcase the views from our balcony, spanning from our check-in afternoon, through dusk and evening, and culminating in the stunning sunrise the following morning. The photos I took turned out absolutely gorgeous, truly like oil paintings! Being able to walk directly from the hotel to the beach was incredibly convenient. We will definitely be back for another stay!

The room was very spacious, ocean-facing with a fantastic, open view. You could hear the roaring waves and watch the sea and sunrise directly from your room – absolutely wonderful. Even though it was a Saturday, there weren't many people (likely because Hong Kong schools had just resumed), which made the experience even better.

The stay here exceeded all my expectations! The ocean view room offered stunning views, with waves crashing right outside the window. The room was equipped with complimentary mineral water and an aroma diffuser – the attention to detail was impeccable. The hotel's location was incredibly easy to find; we saw it right after getting out of the car. With plenty of massage parlors and restaurants nearby, it really set the perfect vacation mood! After checking in, the moment I opened the door to my room, I was instantly captivated by the breathtaking, panoramic ocean view from the balcony – it was truly expansive and uninterrupted. That view alone made me spend three hours on the balcony the first evening. I loved feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, sipping my favorite fruit tea, and watching the sky slowly turn pink. Just losing myself in thought while gazing at the ocean was absolutely blissful! Later that night, someone happened to set off fireworks on the beach directly below my room, and watching them explode right before my eyes was incredibly beautiful.

Our favorite feature was definitely the small balcony. It had a rocking chair, and we loved sitting there with drinks, enjoying the sea breeze and watching the waves. It offered good privacy too. The hotel's public areas were also clean and tidy, and the pool water was crystal clear. We'd definitely prioritize staying here again for future trips! As night fell, I drifted off to sleep to the gentle lullaby of the ocean, and even my dreams were tinted with a soft blue hue.

Our trip on Thursday was incredibly smooth, with no traffic, taking only an hour and a half from Shenzhen. I actually visited this Honghaiwan Bay Hotel about 10 years ago when properties were being sold in the area, and even then, I found the place to be very comfortable. Nine interconnected buildings block the western sun, meaning by 3 or 4 PM, the area is shaded, perfect for a swim. While the sand is a rather dull yellowish-black and not visually appealing, this section of Honghaiwan Bay faces the open sea and is exceptionally clean. The water here is shallow and calm; even non-swimmers can wade out 6-7 meters from the shore without issue, making it incredibly safe for families with children. This time, we booked a room with a 1.5-meter bed and a 1.2-meter bunk bed, which was just perfect for our family with one child. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the sea breeze was incredibly relaxing. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.

Waking up every morning to the brilliant blue sea and sky, and enjoying stunning sunsets in the evening, it truly felt like living in a painting! Right downstairs, there's a pristine private beach with fine, soft sand. It was incredibly convenient to simply walk out onto the sand and play in the waves whenever we wished. The hotel's location is also superb, offering direct beach access right outside, saving us any travel hassle. It truly lived up to the dream of 'ocean views from your window, and waves just downstairs'. The service is attentive, and the ambiance is elegant. It's absolutely the perfect choice for a getaway! We'll definitely be back next time, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the ocean! 🌊🌅

The beach is right downstairs from the hotel, and it features lovely fine black sand, which was very comfortable. We found the seafood restaurants nearby to be quite expensive. I highly recommend seeking out the local street food stalls (大排档) instead. There's a fantastic one called 'Xiyue Food Stall' (喜悦大排档) tucked away in a small alley. We had a meal there, and the food was incredibly fresh and provided excellent value. There are other great stalls as well, which I only discovered by asking the locals.
