The hotel is quite new and the room is clean. The first room is so cold and so small because it’s on the rooftop floor. However, the kindly staff change the room for us. My partner and i have just returned from a 3 night stay over Easter Bank holiday weekend with our french bulldog skyler. This is a brilliant hotel, lovely and clean, staff were very helpful and very accommodating. breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. I would definitely return next time we visit southport. Thanks to all the royal clifton staff that made our short break amazing

Lovely place to visit, central to everything. We requested a room overlooking the lake which we got, and the room was very quiet. No noise for above thankfully. Only downside was the window wouldn’t open and the pillow were too soft (I sound like Goldilocks!). Brekki was lovely, lots of choice. Would defo come again (that was our 2nd visit).

I have stayed many times It was good until 02:30 am when a burglar tried to smash the front door down. I was in room 5 right above. It was so noisy and at least 6 police arrived to take the lunatic away in Van. It went on for an hour I could not sleep and vacated my room NR 5 @ 04:30 am very unhappy. Plus I was asked to pay £5 to park, first time EVER ! The young night porter was amazing and showed me out through the kitchen to my car. Fabulous couple my Freind was really poorly in the morning they were so helpful in helping me get him down the stairs and helping him into the car I can not thank them enough Stayed a few times here and the room was great with a terrace onto the garden so ideal for us with my 2 grandchildren and to have a coffee in the morning outside Will always pick this hotel on vacation to Southport Thank you again to the owners for all your help and support today Plus very grateful for changing my room to the garden room as well 100% given for this hotel and the owners 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Great location for the theatre and right in the centre of things. Loved the valet parking too which saved time fighting the parking apps - £20 per stray. Immaculate hotel, great furnishings and everything you could possibly need for a great breakfast. All the staff are super friendly and professional - I highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean and central to all amenities, no one on recepyuntil 3 pm so I had to carry my suitcase around with me for 2 hours , that’s my only complaint as I thought would be able to drop my case off. Would definitely stay again , it’s very near friends I was visiting for the 2 days .
