Guangzhou Metro Map 2025 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 17 lines, covering more than 700 kilometres and over 300 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition’s main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Guangzhou Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

Excellent location with helpful staff. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to an executive suite—nice touch! Although the facilities are a bit dated, everything was clean and pretty well maintained. There's also a shopping mall right across from the hotel with a wide variety of dining options, which was very convenient.

Conveniently located very close to Guangzhou East Railway Station. The rooms were spotless. The front desk staff who checked us in was very friendly; as we were traveling with seniors and children, they kindly assigned us a quieter room. It's also not far from the metro station, making it easy to explore. Breakfast offered a good variety of options. Plus, there's an indoor pool, which is perfect for kids to enjoy and escape the summer heat. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Fraser Suites Guangzhou My recent stay at Fraser Suites Guangzhou was nothing short of a 5-star experience. From the incredible location to the fantastic facilities and, most importantly, the outstanding service, this hotel truly goes above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. The convenience of this hotel is unmatched. It's directly linked to the ShiPaiQiao metro station, and the covered walkway means you never have to worry about rain or bad weather. The hotel is also connected to two major shopping centers: OneLink Mall, which is right below the hotel, and TaiKoo Hui, which you can easily access via an underground pass. Zhengjia Plaza is also just a short walk away. You will never run out of food choices here. There are countless restaurants and eateries directly in front of the hotel, and both OneLink Mall and TaiKoo Hui offer an amazing selection of dining options, from casual bites to upscale dining. The staff services are absolutely phenomenal. The team went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. When the refrigerator in our room started making a loud noise late at night, the staff quickly and seamlessly arranged a last-minute room swap for us. The concierge was also incredibly thoughtful, always ready with an umbrella to shelter us to our taxi whenever it rained. Their attentiveness and willingness to help were remarkable. The hotel facilities are also top-notch. The gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are all fantastic. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a golf simulator available for guests! The rooms themselves are well-equipped with great amenities like a full-size refrigerator, cooking facilities, and even a washing machine, which is a huge plus for longer stays. I highly recommend Fraser Suites Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city. It’s an easy 5/5 stars and I can't wait to return.

The Sheraton in Tianhe is our go to hotel every time we are in Guangzhou. You are at the heart of the Tianhe District and there is food and entertainment surrounding you all within walking distance. Our kids love the pool of this property and the gym is big enough for a proper workout. Would be good if they invested in heavier weights and added some yoga mats in the stretching room. Checkin was efficient and they gave us a high floor room and late checked out as requested. Looking forward to our next stay again soon.

As a family with two young children, including an infant, we chose a staycation this time and booked the hotel's Grandview Mall play package. We arrived very quickly from Panyu. Our Ctrip membership benefits came in handy, allowing us a complimentary room upgrade. We checked in after a short wait and enjoyed afternoon tea at the lobby lounge. The upgraded room was very spacious, giving our infant plenty of room to crawl around, and our older child was also thrilled. The only slight disappointment was the lack of a baby crib; we've stayed at major brands like Hilton and Holiday Inn before, and they always provided them, but this hotel didn't. We had to request many pillows and blankets instead. We were too tired to try the swimming pool, so both the adults and kids just enjoyed a relaxing bath in the room. The next day, we visited the Grandview Aquarium, which was very convenient. We had the buffet breakfast and an all-you-can-eat dim sum selection at the hotel, and the dim sum was of excellent quality. I've known about the Grandview Marriott for many years and have shopped at the mall countless times, but this was our first stay. I noticed many international guests, which suggests it's a popular choice for tourists. Overall, it's a very good hotel.

The hotel room wasn't particularly large, and the decor was a bit dated, but it was still comfortable. It boasts a superb location, right next to the Friendship Store and a large shopping mall, with Guangzhou Zoo just a short stroll away. The toiletries were decent. The buffet breakfast was acceptable, served on the 30th floor, offering beautiful views of Guangzhou's old town. A pleasant surprise was that because I needed to wait for a guest, I requested a late checkout until 3 PM from the front desk, and to my surprise, it was approved! This saved me from having to kill time after lunch and allowed me to enjoy a leisurely lie-in. Overall, a very good hotel, highly recommended. 👍👍👍

I cannot say enough how great the stay at the Asia International Hotel. I arrived in a panic because I was 40RMB short for my long hour and a half taxi ride, but the concierge Ricky came out to the taxi and paid the remainder from his very own money. I was then able to exchange Australian dollars for Chinese RMB and pay Ricky back. Things like this do not happen. The whole staff were amazing and ever so helpful. ## An Outstanding Stay! The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou: Truly Five-Star Acclaim 🌟 My recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou far exceeded my expectations! From its prime location to the meticulous service details, everything exuded luxury and attentiveness, truly offering a 'palatial experience'. 🏙 **Unbeatable Views & Convenient Location:** The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Zhujiang New Town, within walking distance of cultural landmarks like the Guangdong Museum and Guangzhou Library. It's also just 290 meters from the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. My 'Deluxe City View King Room' featured expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city lights. As dusk settled, the cityscape transformed into a dazzling display, like a sparkling diamond, truly mesmerizing. 🛌 **Ultimate Comfortable Room Experience:** The room's modern design in light tones created a tranquil ambiance. The Ritz-Carlton's custom bedding was cloud-soft, complemented by a climate control system and soundproof windows, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The marble bathroom boasted a rain shower and an oversized bathtub, perfect for a completely relaxing soak. While some of the fixtures might show a slight hint of age, they were impeccably maintained, and the room was fully equipped with amenities, including a smart toilet and a vanity mirror. 🍽 **Dining & Culinary Delights:** The breakfast spread was extensive, offering a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. The freshly baked bread and fresh fruit were particularly impressive. The hotel also features several specialty restaurants and bars, including 'Lai Heen,' the Cantonese restaurant that has consistently earned a Michelin star for years, providing diners with an exceptional culinary journey. 🏊 **Luxurious Facilities & Leisure Experience:** The Roman-inspired outdoor heated pool offers direct views of the city skyline. There's a 24-hour fitness center with a yoga room, and the spa provides personalized treatments, making it a perfect choice for relaxation and rejuvenation. The nightly sugar painting demonstrations and lobby black tea tastings added a touch of cultural charm and a unique experience. 💁 **Impeccable Service:** What truly stood out was their 'Ladies and Gentlemen' level of service. From the warm welcome and efficient coordination at check-in, to the timely and meticulous room cleaning (they even left thoughtful little notes!), and the restaurant staff's proactive dish recommendations, every member of staff was incredibly attentive. Their warm smiles melted away travel fatigue, truly making me feel 'at home'. The airport pickup service and 24-hour in-room dining were also very thoughtful. 📌 **Pro Tip:** Highly recommend choosing a high-floor river view room to enjoy the Canton Tower and Pearl River night views; breakfast is definitely worth experiencing; utilize the hotel's convenient location to explore nearby attractions like Huacheng Square and Canton Tower. In summary, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou seamlessly blends cloud-level views, artistic design, legendary service, and exquisite culinary culture. Despite being open for many years, it is impeccably maintained, and its service standards remain consistently high, making it an excellent choice for both business travelers and leisure guests. We took the kids for a two-day trip to Guangzhou and chose the China Hotel, one of Guangzhou's three major hotels from the 1980s. The room was very spacious, having been recently renovated within the last couple of years. It was significantly larger than what you'd find in many modern chain hotels, and it even came with a bathtub. The service was also excellent; from the porters at the entrance to the check-in staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We noticed many international guests staying there. We requested a high floor and were promptly given the 15th floor, which was great. They also provided a complimentary welcome fruit platter and had two mascots to greet the children. We didn't include breakfast, and the room was around 600 RMB, which felt like a very reasonable price. The subway station is extremely close, right next to the hotel, and the museum is also nearby, making it incredibly convenient. There's a good local dessert shop nearby too. For breakfast, if you prefer not to dine at the hotel, grabbing a McDonald's right outside is a great alternative. The hotel is exceptionally well-maintained overall, and the renovations look fantastic. It even has a mini-museum inside! Both the kids and adults were very satisfied. Highly recommended, five stars!

A historic gem with an antique charm and timeless five-star quality. The sheer scale of the hotel, with its expansive grounds and gardens, truly sets it apart from contemporary five-star establishments. Every piece of furniture and decor reflects a rich history and heritage; indeed, much of the hotel's furnishings are adorned with natural marble and precious woods. The gilded 'Dong Fang Hotel' signboard itself carries a prestige that not every visitor might fully appreciate. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, and the bathrooms are generously sized. The carpets throughout are also among the best maintained I've encountered in any four or five-star hotel I've stayed in. The curtains are fresh and clean, and the room's arrangement is aesthetically pleasing. My stay here was simply wonderful. As my work requires me to stay connected and up-to-date with the outside world, I found all my informational needs met here. With the hotel's own restaurants, you'll have no need to venture out for meals. The fitness center, outdoor gardens, and swimming pool offer perfect opportunities for body and mind relaxation. Guests can also visit the nearby Beiyuan Restaurant for an authentic 'Old Guangzhou' tea experience. On weekends, Yuntai Garden is a great option, followed by a leisurely cable car ride up Baiyun Mountain for some fresh air and a walk. On the way down, be sure to try Shahe noodles, a local dish of intangible cultural heritage. Lastly, every member of the hotel staff was incredibly polite and courteous.

I chose this hotel because I had very long flights and a long transit in Guangzhou, the only reason to choose the hotel was because it’s near to airport and one do not have enough time or energy to travel to downtown hotels. I landed at around 11/1130 pm and had to catch next flight and got to airport at 6 am, when at night I wanted to take shower, I realized there were no amenities, basic amenities that should be in a 5 star hotel, like shower cap, soap, cotton pads. And I saw a notice that “we are saving bla bla .. and request at reception” that annoyed me because I really was tired and didn’t want to go back find reception number , change clothes, wait for some one to bring a shower cap, which I actually did for 15 minutes. I mean really are you saving on this!?? If someone don’t use, they will lie in room, but please put these basic things. I was really irritated about this. And how come Pullman have different polices in differnet places ? I just was coming from Luang Perbang in Laos where I stayed at Pullman Luang Perbang and they had all amienitirs

Really enjoyed our stay at this historically significant hotel on the Pearl River! We stayed on the 27th floor and had gorgeous views of the river all the way down to the CBD (the pictures don’t do it justice). Rooms are recently renovated - large and clean. Walking distance to Beijing Road and many other attractions. Also very conveniently located on the metro line which is only a 3 minute walk away. Helpful staff also graciously allowed us to check-out a bit late. Highly recommended hotel!

My stay was absolutely outstanding. The room was impressively spacious and impeccably clean, and the lobby staff were exceptionally accommodating and welcoming. The location was perfect for my needs, surrounded by a fantastic selection of Indian and Turkish restaurants, all serving sumptuous food. The true highlight, however, was the incredible experience at Skyline63. The 360-degree panoramic views of Guangzhou from the helipad area are simply breathtaking and not to be missed. It's the perfect way to see the city. I would highly recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This truly is an established hotel that left a lasting impression on me. The front desk was managed by a slim, handsome gentleman whose attitude was incredibly gracious and accommodating, answering every question I had. My first impression was absolutely wonderful! Upon entering the room, a sweet, milky, and fresh fragrance immediately enveloped me, yet it was far from cloying! It smelled absolutely divine, instantly uplifting my mood. What truly surprised and delighted me was that this subtle, long-lasting aroma seemed to emanate directly from the walls! Simply exquisite. The room was incredibly spacious, and all the amenities were exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. This truly is the best hotel I've stayed in all year! The comfort factor was elevated to its peak when, after a relaxing evening bath, I wrapped myself in the huge, thick, and wonderfully soft bath towel. Pure bliss! That towel definitely deserves a special mention. The hotel boasts a beautiful garden-style design, situated right by the river... it's simply breathtaking! The photos I've included were even taken from my bedside, showing off the stunning view! The Chinese cuisine at the hotel was also delicious! My final shout-out goes to the single armchair by the window 😀... Once you sink into it, you absolutely won't want to get up – it's the ultimate 'lie-flat' feeling, pure relaxation! 😂 I'd love to buy one just like it; if anyone knows where to find it, please share a link! Thanks a bunch! I've already declared: whenever I'm in Guangzhou, this will be my go-to hotel! ❤️❤️
