Guangzhou Metro Map 2026 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 17 lines, covering more than 700 kilometres and over 300 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition’s main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Guangzhou Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

Great location: The hotel is in the heart of Guangzhou, about 100 meters from the East High-Speed Rail station, and right next to a subway station. It's just a few subway stops to all the major attractions in downtown Guangzhou, which is incredibly convenient. Spacious rooms: This is an older five-star hotel, and both the lobby and the rooms are very large. The restaurant is also spacious and very clean. Our stay was incredibly comfortable, and it was very quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep. Excellent service: We originally booked a king-sized bed, but since we were traveling with two children, the lady at the front desk kindly changed our reservation to a twin room. We checked in around 10 AM, and when we needed extra toothbrushes for the room, someone brought them up immediately. Thoughtful details: It's rare to see non-smoking floor signs in hotel rooms, which was a really friendly and thoughtful touch, especially for non-smokers and families with children. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Guangzhou.

This is an excellent hotel! I've stayed at Wyndham hotels in other cities before, but the Guangzhou Wyndham really stands out. Everything from the environment to the service and breakfast was superb! All the staff were very polite and the service was impeccable! The breakfast had a huge variety and was absolutely delicious 👍. Whether it was the front desk, the concierge, the housekeeping staff, or the restaurant team, everyone was incredibly friendly and made you feel right at home! The most important thing was that I lost my headphones and the hotel proactively contacted us to let us know! Truly grateful 🙏. I'll definitely choose Wyndham again on my next visit.

Had the best 7 nights in this hotel! The room is so spacious, so clean and the lighting in the room makes it so comfy and welcoming! Too comfy till we didn’t want to leave the room 🤣 The hotel is in a very good location too. Walking distance to grandview mall and parc central and just downstairs there’s so many eateries that opens late at night too. Food is def not a problem. It’s a good place for didi pickups/drops off too and accessible via the one link mall too. Big big kudos to the staff in this hotel. Everyone from the entrance to the reception and to housekeeping are so friendly and professional. They make us feel so welcomed and we truly appreciate all their assistance towards us, especially before we arrive when we had to arrange transport and upgrade our rooms. Thanks for answering our queries so quickly and providing such excellent service to us. We truly love our stay and will definitely choose to stay here again!!

The room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom had enough space. It was also very convenient to travel with pets; the staff were very friendly to dogs, and we met many pet-loving friends at the hotel. The room specifically prepared a dog bed, pee pads, poop bags, and a bag of small treats, which was a pleasant surprise. Vicky assisted us throughout our stay and was very helpful. There was even a lion dance performance on the first day of Chinese New Year, which was quite nice. There are also many convenient dining options nearby.

I think this hotel was a great choice for our first time in Guangzhou. It is in an excellent location, making travel to places around the city very easy and a range of shopping and food experiences/price-points nearby. Enjoyed the Aeon supermarket below Teemall! The pool was beautiful and we were able to enjoy it even in winter. There are hot tubs and saunas also (male and female separate). We could book the tennis court and racquets one day in advance for a reasonable price. Rooms were clean and very spacious. This is a more luxurious hotel than I would normally stay at, but it was worth it for the location and facilities and made the stay special. The staff were friendly and spoke English well, which was helpful!

The room, as always, was decent but the facilities are quite old. The service over Chinese New Year was good though; the duty manager was able to help resolve any issues we had. The meals were also quite varied. However, I have to mention that the front desk staff who checked us in asked me to add them on WeChat, saying it was for a good review, but then they didn't even reply to my messages when I had an issue. How can they have the nerve to ask me to add them in the first place? It's the first time I've encountered someone asking to add me on WeChat and then not replying! Overall, the experience was still pretty good. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around, and there are many malls nearby, which is great.

The Baiyun Hotel boasts an excellent location in the core business district of Huanshi East. The parking lot is quite large, but spaces can still be tight, likely due to the high number of dining guests. The hotel lobby is spacious and grand, and it's connected to the adjacent shopping mall. The rooms are quite roomy. While the decor and facilities are indeed a bit old-fashioned, they are very clean. I personally quite like this traditional layout, especially that the bathroom is enclosed, unlike the inconvenient open-concept or glass-partitioned bathrooms found in newer styles. The soundproofing and blackout curtains in the rooms are excellent. The hotel service is very good, and there are plenty of staff in the lobby. The price during the Chinese New Year period was quite high, but it would offer great value for money at regular prices.

This Chinese New Year, instead of joining the bustling crowds, I chose to stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich for a peaceful, introspective getaway. I brought my family along to celebrate the New Year here. Outside, there might have been fireworks, but inside, it was just the quiet comfort of books and warm tea. In this non-stop world, sometimes being able to simply zone out for a bit, or slowly enjoy a cup of tea without rushing, is truly something to celebrate. The New Year doesn't have to be about hectic travel and exhaustion; it can be about finding peace within yourself, and in a warm space, hearing your inner 'Happy New Year.' This Spring Festival, staying at the Sofitel felt like stepping into a warm, open, and inviting hotel. The New Year activities in the lobby were a big hit with guests, and the free couplet writing was a really creative touch. Mia at the front desk was also incredibly, incredibly enthusiastic with her service.

Second time staying at a W Hotel, and I'm very satisfied with the Guangzhou W. **Location:** It's right in the core Pearl River area, making it very convenient to walk or take a taxi to the museum or Canton Tower. **Facilities:** Excellent. The room was much more spacious than my last stay in Singapore, with a separate walk-in closet and bathroom, and a bathtub. The gym and pool were both great, even with kids. **Service:** Very good. They were always responsive to requests, and even delivered takeout directly to the room. Breakfast was a little less impressive than in Singapore, without the à la carte options, but the beef ball noodle soup was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be back!

This was our first time spending Chinese New Year away from home, and our three-night stay at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou was absolutely perfect! The hotel's ambiance is elegant, a beautiful blend of classic Lingnan style and modern luxury. The service was incredibly attentive, with every staff member being warm and thoughtful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was top-notch, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, with authentic Cantonese dim sum that was truly memorable. The location is excellent, making it convenient to visit nearby attractions and go shopping. My son also got to try the swimming pool; although he doesn't know how to swim, he enjoyed the heated small jacuzzi in the evening all by himself. The staff were still very enthusiastic in welcoming us. If you don't feel like going out, just staying in the garden, watching the waterfall, and feeding the fish is also a lovely experience. Although the rooms don't offer views of Canton Tower, you can enjoy the pleasant sight of the central axis green gardens along Huacheng Avenue. The room facilities are complete, comfortable, and cozy. However, the square-shaped bathtub, while creative, isn't very practical. Luckily, I'm quite small, but I still had to bend my legs. Honest review: The room was quite clean, smoke-free, and odorless, right across from Guangdong TV Station. High floor with a wide view. It's listed as a 5-star hotel, but I'd say it's an older 5-star. There were many foreign guests from various continents and countries. My room's electronic control system had some issues; it wasn't very responsive. While taking the elevator, I also overheard others saying they had no hot water at 1 AM?! Not sure if that's true. The front desk service was excellent. They allowed a late checkout until 2 PM, which was perfect because my flight was delayed. 1. **Location:** Perfect for tourists! The library is right outside, and the APM line provides direct access to most attractions. 2. **Service:** Before arrival, someone called to confirm my arrival time and needs. My requested birthday decorations were also arranged smoothly. The front desk staff who checked me in around noon on the 11th was incredibly warm and welcoming (though I forgot her name). She attentively addressed my room requests. By the way, the concierge was also very dedicated. Although my room key failed twice, and the wait to get new ones slightly delayed my schedule, the duty manager was understanding and offered solutions. (However, I must strongly criticize the attitude of the front desk staff member who answered my second call when my key failed again – it wasn't the original person, and her demeanor was extremely rude and cold.) 3. **Breakfast:** While the selection was small, the taste was quite good. 4. **Housekeeping:** The male staff member who cleaned the room was very meticulous. 5. **Decor:** It's the classic Ritz style, but because the hotel is a bit older, the wooden floors sometimes creak. However, the facilities are consistently updated, which you can tell by the Toto toilets. The toiletries were Diptyque, and the water was Voss. Overall, I'm grateful to the Ritz for giving my friend and me a wonderful birthday memory! We were very happy! 🥳

Booking China Hotel during Chinese New Year was absolutely the right choice! This hotel truly embodies a rich heritage and offers a fantastic Chinese New Year atmosphere. The decorations are both elegant and festive, and on the first day of the New Year, there was even a lion dance performance! The location is unbeatable – right outside the subway exit and next to Yuexiu Park, making it super convenient for exploring nearby attractions without getting tired. Across the street, Liuhua Center has restaurants like Dian Du De, and other eateries nearby are also excellent. There's even a McDonald's downstairs, perfect for quick snacks with the kids. The 1.4-meter twin beds were very comfortable. Although there wasn't a bed rail for children, we just pushed the small sofa against the bed, making it even safer and keeping our child happy. Evaluating your hotel stay is essential to sharing your experience with others or planning future trips. Here are some descriptive evaluations based on common factors: The hotel was ideally situated close to major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city. Their smiles were warm, and their service was impeccable. They proactively upgraded me to a 'Premier Room' free of charge and included breakfast for the following day. Breakfast was served in a beautiful garden setting with a wide variety of food choices. Shirley also thoughtfully gave me a refrigerator magnet as a souvenir. This proactive approach to providing value-added service made me feel truly cared for and respected, creating a genuine 'home away from home' feeling. The only minor letdown was during check-out on the 25th. I needed to get my deposit refunded, but the lobby Wi-Fi took a while to connect, and I was in a hurry to catch my high-speed train, which made me a bit anxious. Although everything was eventually processed smoothly, the staff member forgot to provide me with a room receipt. I kindly request that the hotel send a digital copy of my accommodation receipt to the email address associated with my booking. Thank you for your assistance. Overall, your hotel's service quality is commendable, and a special thanks goes to Shirley and Beaver for their outstanding performance. I look forward to staying with you again!

Highly recommend this hotel for early morning flights! Its location is unbeatable for an airport hotel – just a 3-minute walk directly to Terminal 1. For Terminal 2, there's a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes, so there's no need to worry even if you arrive late at night. Plus, Metro Line 3 is right nearby, making travel to and from the city super convenient. The breakfast is also fantastic; you can grab a hot meal as early as 5:30 AM before catching your shuttle to T2. The room was clean and tidy, and the double-pane windows did an excellent job of blocking out airport noise. It was the best night's sleep I've had during this entire business trip. The staff were warm and attentive, and the check-in and check-out process was efficient throughout. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next layover!

This was my second time choosing the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, and my stay was once again absolutely perfect, even more impressive than the first time. Special thanks to Della and Edith! They contacted me proactively before check-in to ask about my needs, which made the entire check-in process incredibly smooth. This kind of thoughtful pre-arrival care made me feel the warmth of the Four Seasons even before I got to the hotel. What surprised me most was that upon check-out, they even gave me a commemorative room key card as a gift – such a thoughtful gesture! As a returning guest, it feels really great to be remembered and valued. From check-in to departure, every detail was handled just right. The service at Four Seasons Guangzhou is consistently top-notch, and Della and Edith's professionalism and enthusiasm were definitely the highlights of this stay. I highly recommend everyone to experience it. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Guangzhou!

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Haizhu Square Guangzhou|6.38km from city centre
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – right outside, you're greeted by the Pearl River, with Tianzi Pier to your left and Beijing Road to your right. The Guangdong Museum and Nanyue King Museum are also very close by. It's a shame the hotel itself is so poorly managed, completely wasting such a prime spot. Both the bathroom and the room are incredibly small, like a birdcage. The toilet area can barely fit two people; when brushing your teeth, your backside literally touches the shower door. Sitting on the toilet, you can reach out and touch the bathroom door. It's tiny, tiny, truly tiny! The only two bright spots are the invincible river view from the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast was just okay – limited variety, nothing special or outstanding, typical of a budget hotel. The staff were stiff and unhelpful. For children's breakfast, there's no complimentary option or discount; 90 yuan per person is 'company policy,' with absolutely no room for negotiation. Also, avoid taking the 'Ruyue Chuxing' taxis – they're a rip-off, seriously overpriced. As soon as the car starts, 20 yuan is gone, and the meter keeps jumping. A ride to the Guangdong Museum was 19 yuan via a ride-sharing app, but on the way back, too tired to walk, I hopped into a Ruyue Chuxing taxi directly from the North Gate, and it cost me 39 yuan!

A fantastic hotel experience. The room was very spacious with a well-designed layout, perfect for organizing my belongings. It was also fully equipped, featuring a bathtub and a mini-bar. The service was excellent. Upon check-in, I received a welcome drink with a wide selection of choices. Miss Pretty was particularly helpful and attentive, arranging everything perfectly. The breakfast offered a rich variety of options, including Guangzhou specialties, as well as Chinese and Western dishes – truly something for everyone. However, the highlight was definitely the hotel's night view. From my room, I could see the Canton Tower illuminated at night. I also visited the hotel's rooftop, which offered a breathtaking 360-degree night view. Highly recommended!

Shamian Island and Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street Guangzhou|9.14km from city centre
The basic room for Chinese New Year was quite pricey due to the fireworks display. The room itself was more spacious than expected, clean and tidy, with a well-thought-out layout. It even had a desk, a bay window, and a bathtub. Upon arrival, a bellhop immediately came to take our luggage from our car at the hotel entrance and brought it to our room. It wasn't until we checked in on New Year's Eve that we learned about the traffic control starting at 8 AM on New Year's Day. There were barricades everywhere on the island, turning what should have been a 10-minute walk to Yongqingfang into two or three times that distance, which really impacted our experience. On our second day, we surprisingly discovered that our room door could be opened without a key card. I'm not sure if it was already broken on the first day, but we wouldn't have found out if our child hadn't opened the door directly. The hotel sent someone to fix it, but their reaction was quite nonchalant, as if it were a minor, insignificant issue. For single female travelers, I'd suggest being cautious and checking this first. The fireworks over Baie Lake were stunning and truly breathtaking. Yutang Chunnuan was overrated; Qiaomei Restaurant right outside the hotel was much better.
