Guangzhou Metro Map 2026 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 19 lines, covering approximately 779.9 kilometres (484.6 miles) and 397 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Railway Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition's main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Canton Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km (31 miles) in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

How to Buy Guangzhou Metro Tickets?

Guangzhou Metro now makes payment much easier for international visitors. All stations including the APM line support the four major foreign bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express), and you can simply tap your card at any gate displaying the card logo to enter and exit.

Frequent travellers can use the Guangzhou Metro official app or the Alipay or WeChat mini-program to generate a QR code ticket for quick entry. Visitors may also purchase a stored-value Yang Cheng Tong Card at the service counter, with a refundable 20 RMB deposit, and use it for buses and ferries as well. Guangzhou East Railway Station/Wushan Guangzhou|1.16km from city centre
The hotel's overall environment is decent, and the staff's service attitude is very good. The follow-up specialist's service was also excellent [rose emoji]. The location is extremely convenient, with a shopping mall right across the street, making it easy to get around and shop. The hotel offers complimentary coffee, although the taste is a bit bland. The only minor drawback is that the room facilities are a bit old and the decor style feels dated, giving it an old-fashioned hotel vibe. It might be more suitable for older travelers. I hope the hotel can renovate and upgrade the room hardware in the future for an even better stay experience. The follow-up specialist's service was very good.

We booked this hotel specifically for the 40th-floor kids' club, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown. We came to Guangzhou with our child, and after seeing many reviews praising the Westin's indoor kids' club on the 40th floor, we decided to stay here. Unfortunately, the kids' club was quite disappointing – there was a strong, pungent smell inside. I'm not sure if it's been recently renovated, but even as an adult, I felt a bit dizzy after a few minutes, let alone letting my child play in there. On top of that, it only opens at 12 PM daily, and there wasn't a single staff member in sight, which honestly made me a bit uneasy. However, putting the kids' club aside, the rest of the hotel was excellent. Our stay on the executive floor was very satisfying, with attentive service. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with plenty of options for both adults and children. The location is also very convenient, close to shopping and dining. While the heated pool isn't huge, the water temperature was comfortable and perfectly adequate for children to splash around in. Overall, if you're booking this hotel solely for the kids' club, like we did, you might want to reconsider. I hope the hotel addresses the indoor air quality issue, as health and safety are paramount when traveling with children. However, if you're here for a business trip or prioritize the executive benefits, this hotel is definitely worth staying at.

They immediately arranged a room change and even upgraded my room type, which made my trip to Guangzhou a fantastic experience. 2. The apartment's location directly opposite Taikoo Hui is incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. There are all sorts of great food options downstairs, so you don't even have to go far to eat well. 3. The breakfast provided is incredibly varied and of high quality, with plenty of choices! The location is an absolute winner! The hotel has direct access to TeeMall, and it's within walking distance to Parc Central and Grandview Mall. The Sports West Road subway station is also very close, so you can shop and find food without enduring the elements – super convenient for getting around. Check-in was very efficient, and the front desk staff were pleasant and easy to communicate with. The room was spacious with large windows offering expansive views. The mattress was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's rest after a day of exploring. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water was stable, and the cleaning was meticulous, leaving it spotless and odor-free. Amenities are comprehensive; the heated pool and gym were both fully operational. What's more, you can store your luggage for free after check-out, which is a thoughtful touch, allowing us to pick it up after we'd finished exploring the shopping districts. This established five-star hotel truly delivers on reliability. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel/food adventures. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time I'm in Tianhe, Guangzhou! Also, a big thank you to the staff for providing us with complimentary breakfast!

Booked an executive room, and it only came with two bottles of water. We drank one on the first day, and to my surprise, housekeeping didn't even replenish them the next day. Unbelievable. The coffee provided was instant Nescafé; they could at least offer drip bags, especially since the mini-fridge was completely empty. The mattress was really comfortable, and the buckwheat pillow suited me perfectly, though I had to wait over half an hour for it.

Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday. Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking. Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day. The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food. Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro. Before arriving, I had read many reviews online saying that the front desk always had long queues. And indeed, during my few days of stay, I did notice queues forming during morning and afternoon peak hours. However, when I checked in, it was fine; there was no queue. A tall gentleman warmly greeted us and arranged the room according to my request. The room was spacious and grand overall, and very well-maintained. Over the next few days, I enjoyed relaxing time at the executive lounge, where the food quality was also excellent. I'd like to thank Niki and the Russian girl with excellent Chinese for their service and help. The only issue I encountered was when I informed the front desk that I would be checking out at 2 PM the next day, but they somehow set my key card to expire that same afternoon, which resulted in me being locked out of my room and caused quite a bit of inconvenience.

Last August, I stayed at this hotel when I came to see my favorite singer's birthday celebration. I remember saying then that if I ever returned to Guangzhou, I would definitely book this hotel again. And here I am, back in July! The service is as attentive as ever; the front desk staff are incredibly friendly, and the room is spotless, cozy, and comfortable. The view from the window is fantastic. The hotel's washing machines and dryers are also very convenient to use. This time, I explored more of the dining options around the hotel. There's a dim sum restaurant called Luyun Tea House in Zhengjia Plaza right next to the hotel, and their dim sum is delicious. Plus, there's a convenience store downstairs, which is super handy for grabbing things. Getting to Canton Tower is a breeze – just two or three stops on Metro Line 3. It's also quick and easy to reach attractions like Yongqing Fang and Shamian Island, taking only a few tens of minutes. If I get the chance to visit Guangzhou again, I'll definitely be back! 🩷

Facilities: Well-equipped, American-style decor, everything is online and timeless. Hygiene: Established cleanliness, but details like table corners could use more attention. Environment: You can shop, eat, drink, play, and visit a museum all within the hotel. Service: Everyone is on point, and the switchboard processes calls immediately. As the only national brand among China's three platinum five-star hotels, it boasts unique historical and cultural elements, and is a symbol of China's reform and opening-up. Its history and ethos are evident. My first impression during check-in was that everyone was very busy; while check-in was slow, the staff were very pleasant. As a Lingkehui Gold Card member, in addition to a room upgrade, I also received complimentary breakfast and executive lounge access. If room availability allows, late checkout until 2 PM is possible. The hotel has a very high occupancy rate, with many foreign guests and airline crew. There might be some communication gaps between departments like housekeeping and restaurants. This time, my Deluxe King room was upgraded to a Red Kapok King Suite. The room, being older, combined with ongoing government construction nearby, meant the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The extra bed was too soft and a bit uncomfortable, and some other hardware in the room was a bit dated, but it didn't detract too much from the stay. On the first floor, there's an outdoor back garden with a small waterfall, both popular photo spots. I saw many people taking pictures, it was lively. The ornamental fish in the pond were huge. On the 4th floor, there's a free, public Garden Hotel Museum (closed Mondays), which is well worth a visit, explaining the development history of various hotels and just how amazing Garden Hotel is. You really must spend some time exploring it. The gym (well-equipped) and outdoor swimming pool (not heated) are on the other side of the 4th floor, with two squash courts (reservation required). All hotel signage is in Chinese, English, and Japanese. There's currently construction outside the hotel (the typical 'dong dong dong' sound of Guangzhou)... You really should experience our Garden Hotel with its Lingnan characteristics.

The hotel is comfortable, clean, and the staff are very attentive and welcoming A special thanks you to Janni for his excellent service. He greeted us warmly, helped us with the check-in, and kindly offered to register us for the hotel’s loyalty program. Janni was very polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It was a real pleasure communicating with him, and his welcoming attitude made our arrival especially pleasant We also really enjoyed the breakfast. There was a great variety of food, with plenty of options to choose from, and everything was very fresh and delicious. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Overall, everything was well organized and made our stay very comfortable Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Janni, for making our stay so enjoyable! We would be happy to stay here again

The location is excellent, and the front desk staff were quite welcoming. My flight was delayed, so I didn't arrive until after midnight, but they kindly extended my check-out time, which I really appreciated. The room size was decent, and there were many foreign guests staying. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old. I was taking a shower when three or four staff members knocked on my door asking if I had been smoking and triggered the smoke alarm. It was truly speechless. I hope they improve the facilities and service quality.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou. From the moment I arrived, everything was exceptional — from the elegant surroundings to the warm and attentive service. The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy a restful night after a long day exploring Guangzhou. What truly stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive to every detail. The service felt personal and thoughtful without ever being intrusive. The hotel’s location is also excellent, making it convenient to explore the city while still providing a peaceful and luxurious retreat. The overall atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, and I particularly enjoyed the attention to detail throughout the hotel. This was definitely one of the highlights of my Guangzhou trip. The combination of beautiful facilities, outstanding service, comfort, and genuine hospitality made my stay truly memorable. I would happily stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Guangzhou. A well-deserved 5/5!

The room was clean and the facilities were relatively new, with a nice view outside the window. Overall, it still had an old-money vibe, as the hotel's age is undeniable, and even renovations have their limitations. I particularly want to mention the faucet in the bathroom sink – it didn't have a filter, and the spout was quite high, so water splashed everywhere when turned on. The instant coffee in the room was terrible, though the coffee machine in the buffet restaurant was decent. For the buffet lunch, the desserts, ice cream, and fruit were good, but the main courses were mediocre. The sashimi always had a long line, and its presentation was a bit lacking. Regarding the ”Golden Ball Lychee Pastry”: it was advertised as one per day, but I didn't receive it on subsequent days of my stay.

I specifically came to Guangzhou for Jolin Tsai's concert, and by chance, I chose to stay at the Vipers Hotel. My entire stay completely exceeded my expectations, leaving me with wonderful memories of my trip to Guangzhou. I genuinely want to share this great experience with all of you who are planning to see a show at the Olympic Sports Center! The hotel's location is truly exceptional. It's incredibly close to the Olympic Sports Center, making it super convenient for attending concerts. There's no need for long, tiring commutes, and returning to the hotel after the show saves both time and effort. For concert-goers, this location is simply unbeatable. When we checked in, our originally booked room type wasn't available yet. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful and, instead of making us wait unnecessarily, directly upgraded our room type for free. It was a delightful surprise! The upgraded room was stunning. The overall decor was exquisite and grand, the room was spacious and bright, and the furnishings were minimalist yet elegant. The housekeeping was meticulous; every corner was spotless. Stepping into the room instantly washed away the fatigue of travel. What was even more heartwarming was that the hotel knew we were Jolin Tsai concert fans and thoughtfully presented us with a welcome fruit basket. These small details showed so much sincerity and made us feel incredibly warm. I must give a special shout-out to the kind young man with glasses from the gift shop! We had a lot of concert merchandise and luggage, making it quite cumbersome to carry everything. He saw us struggling and proactively and enthusiastically helped us, carrying our large bags and merchandise up to our room, showing immense patience throughout. After we settled in, he also thoughtfully gave us recommendations for local attractions, enthusiastically suggesting delicious restaurants and authentic local food nearby, and telling us where to go for meals. He was very genuine and not at all perfunctory. The entire staff at the hotel provides excellent service. Every staff member is warm, polite, and friendly. Communicating with them about any issues is smooth and stress-free. Their service is just right – they don't intrude excessively but are always there to help when needed. The most surprising thing was the room's fantastic view! In the morning, when I drew back the curtains, I captured a breathtaking sunrise, and in the evening, I witnessed a romantic and healing sunset. The light and shadows were stunning, making every photo look like a masterpiece. The scenery was truly therapeutic. During the day, I immersed myself in the passionate and thrilling atmosphere of Jolin Tsai's concert at the Olympic Sports Center, enjoying the music carnival. At night, I returned to the quiet and comfortable hotel for a good rest. This balance of activity and relaxation made my trip incredibly fulfilling. Whether it's the environment, the hardware facilities, or the staff's attentive and thoughtful soft service, Vipers Hotel delivered a perfect score. The location is ideal for concert attendance, and the service is full of warmth, with constant small gestures that bring delightful surprises. If I ever come to the Guangzhou Olympic Sports Center for another show, I will undoubtedly choose to stay here again. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all fans, concert-goers, and friends visiting Guangzhou. It was a truly memorable and absolutely perfect stay!

Arrived around 11 pm from Renmin station using a Didi, there is a parking lot for the driver to let you off. The staff didn't speak English but she was accommodating and used a translator to ask me about the hotel transfer. There is one an hour and it is a small mini van, it was quick and seamless would stay again.

This hotel truly embodies the meaning of ”home away from home.” From the moment I walked in, the warm smiles and greetings from the hospitality staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The comfortable sofa in the room was the perfect spot to relax, just like a cozy recliner. The hotel's laundry return service was a particularly pleasant surprise; my clothes were folded neatly – excellent attention to detail. The local specialty noodles I had for breakfast were a delicious way to start the day, putting a perfect end to my trip!

The hotel's location is great, and the garden-style design is beautiful. The room we booked was very spacious, and we even got connecting rooms. Although the decor is a bit dated, you can tell it was once a very thoughtfully designed space. The room is airy with a long row of large windows and a big bathroom with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, but no smart toilet. The included breakfast buffet offered a good variety. Hope it gets even better in the future!

I took my mom to Guangzhou, and it truly exceeded our expectations! My mom kept asking me how I found this hotel. It's surrounded by malls, and the moment we arrived, all the fatigue from our journey melted away, replaced by the soothing sound of flowing water. The hotel staff were all incredibly attentive. The front desk ladies always greeted us with genuine smiles, and the bellmen on the first floor were always quick to open and close our car doors. The housekeeping sisters not only cleaned thoroughly but were also very detailed and warm. This hotel made me fall in love with the city. Every time we returned to our room after being out, the air conditioning was perfectly cool, ensuring a good, quiet night's sleep. The hotel's breakfast milk tea was a bit cold; it would be perfect if it were warmer. The XO sauce fried pig intestine noodles were incredibly delicious, with a texture similar to dry-fried beef noodles. My mom loved the hotel's glutinous rice chicken. The restaurant staff were always quick to clear our trash and were always there when needed. The shower in the hotel room was fantastic; showering felt like therapy. I absolutely love this hotel! I will definitely stay here again next time!

The hotel is wow! They have free transportation from terminals. If you arrived at terminal 2, after passing passport control, go to the second floor to departure hall and find exit 46. The bus from the hotel will pick you up right there, outside the exit. Reception guys are very helpful, they helped with your luggage and anything you need. The room itself is very spacious. The floor in the room is so soft, like a cloud! The bed is very comfortable, pillows just amazing! The bath robe is so soft, double layered, I loved it. All you need you have in a room. Only one thing can be improved, could be nice if there would be face wash and face lotion at least. Overall, very pleasant stopover experience. Would book again for longer stopover to discover hotel’s spa and restaurant.

An experience that exceeded our expectations! As soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, a doorman greeted us, opened the car door, took our luggage, and escorted us all the way to the hotel elevator. When we checked in, the front desk lady was very kind. We originally booked a river view room, which doesn't have a view of Canton Tower, but she told us that since we were staying for three nights, she upgraded us to a tower view room. We were so pleasantly surprised! The next day was my child's birthday, and she said they would send a cake to our room. She also thoughtfully asked about our travel plans, mentioning that we could contact them anytime for any needs and that they could even provide travel tips. The staff's service attitude was truly heartwarming and considerate! 💖 Although the hotel has been open for over a decade, it's very well-maintained. The overall style is understated luxury, without excessive or gaudy decorations; it's simple and clean. I was particularly impressed by the dark green room doors with their smooth, rich finish and excellent texture. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest room offer expansive views, overlooking the entire Canton Tower. The marble bathroom and soft, skin-friendly bedding – you can tell from many small details that the materials used are exquisite and carefully selected. For the birthday, we booked the Prime Steakhouse on the 100th floor. The table was sprinkled with rose petals, and there was even a 'Happy Birthday' letter sign, making it feel very ceremonial. The restaurant also gave us a red velvet cake, and when we left, they gave us shell-shaped cakes. Back in our room, there was yet another red velvet cake from the hotel! Haha, they are truly thoughtful... A big thank you again to the hotel for their thoughtful and meticulous service, which gave us an unforgettable birthday trip! 💐

We have a very satisfied and comfortable stay in the hotel. First of all, the hotel location is convenient, MRT station just opposite about 200m away (by Exit F), and is an interchange that linked Line 2 and 6. And it is only 1 station away from the popular Beijing shopping streets and Pearl River Cruise station is just another 200m behind the hotel. Secondly the hotel is clean and modern, house keeping staffs are extremely friendly too. Majority of the staff from check in counters (Sabrina) , Conceige manager (special thanks to Christy who has been very patient and helpful advising us on our itineary and how to get to some of the places we are unsure of), bell boy are extremely friendly and service orientated. Will definitely recommend to friends and myself will choose this hotel to stay again if I return to canton. Big thumb up! :)

The service still lives up to the reputation of an established hotel. However, the cleanliness was truly appalling. I ended up having to clean the bathtub myself. The reason I didn't ask housekeeping was because I wouldn't have trusted it even if they had cleaned it. So, I took matters into my own hands with alcohol wipes. To my surprise, after wiping it down, the bathtub was incredibly dirty, leaving a black mark on my hand from the grime. This really doesn't meet the standards expected of an old-school five-star hotel.
