Guangzhou Metro Map 2025 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 17 lines, covering more than 700 kilometres and over 300 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition’s main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Guangzhou Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

Had a wonderful experience at Guangzhou Jianguo. The Western restaurant on the second floor is elegantly decorated, with warm yellow lighting, greenery, and art, creating a spacious and quiet environment – perfect for dining. All the dim sum is handmade and fresh. After dinner, I enjoyed browsing the flower shop on the first floor; the flowers were fresh, elegant, and had a delightful scent. From the dining to the ambiance and even the little surprises, the whole experience was incredibly pleasant and definitely worth revisiting!

The room felt a little old and run down, and the television had a grainy screen with the sound for each channel varying greatly. We didnt ask reception to fix it as it was late and we intended to watch only for a while before going to bed. The bed and pillows were fantastic though. Breakfast spread was limited but there were 3 to 4 live cooking stations which made things interesting allowing guests to try their local stuff. Their guest service were responsive to emails and friendly. Lots of small eateries nearby though so an excellent location especially if you enjoy late night snacks.. about 6 mins walk to the metro, which is direct from the airport which is a huge plus. Staff service generally impeccable and lobby staff were quick to ask guest if they required help. Apart from the rather run down room and the grainy tv everything else was good.

Hotel is linked to wanling mall, pass through a door and its the mall. And 1 lvl down (beside muji) is the shipaiqiao metro station. Walk pass the wanling malls starbucks, cross the road and u will be at Grandview mall, further down is parc central mall, and tee mall etc. All is within walking distance. There are many things to eat, be it restaurants or bakery. The cafe beside the hotel serves nice yogurt drink as well. Room itself is clean and tidy, amenities are all provided. First time staying at Hilton GZ Tianhe & I booked the executive room for ease of check-in & out. We had an amazing time at the hotel, thanks to the great hospitality extended by the hotel staff, with special shout out to Ms 曾好。 She was incredibly friendly and she gave us great suggestions on where to dine in GZ (where locals go to, instead of the usual tourist dining spots). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As it was our silver wedding anniversary, the hotel also provided a nice gesture by getting the room decorated with a small cake upon our check in. Much appreciated. All in all, Hilton GZ Tianhe's top floor executive lounge & ground floor bar was enjoyable, the mattress is of excellent sleep quality, the gym was clean and functional and the breakfast served offered a variety of local and continental spread. No qualms recommending this hotel to others!

Whenever I come to Guangzhou, the Sheraton is always my go-to. The service is consistently excellent, and the environment is elegant and comfortable. I particularly enjoy the outdoor pool on the 9th floor – swimming with such beautiful scenery is incredibly relaxing, and the hot springs with massage jets are great for unwinding. The location is also super convenient, with easy access to the subway, shopping districts, and amazing food. Guangzhou is great, I'll definitely be back! 👍🏻

The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the beautiful view from my window and the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The location was perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel has always been my top choice for accommodation, consistently leaving a good impression in all aspects. However, I have to air some grievances this time. Firstly, the hotel is replacing its elevators. Previously, there were three elevators serving the 25th floor where I stayed, but now there's only one, which is extremely inconvenient. The front desk staff mentioned that elevator #9 also goes to the 25th floor, but it's not a guest elevator and is very slow. Secondly, the in-room facilities are quite old and seem to have been poorly maintained. The electric kettle lid doesn't seal properly, leaving a gap. In the bathroom, it's very difficult to switch between the overhead shower and the lower faucet. Once I finally got the overhead shower to work, there was no hot water, so I ended up having to wash up in the sink. All these issues were frustrating and helpless.

The room facilities feel a bit above average for a typical five-star hotel, nothing particularly outstanding, but the service is genuinely excellent. They even provided emotional value. The bathtub is quite spacious, and the night view is also good, offering a partial view of the Canton Tower. Thumbs up! However, it's not a smart toilet, and honestly, people who stay in luxury hotels probably aren't used to flushing toilets manually. I hope they can install smart toilets. To be fair, the emotional value really comes from the night view – being able to see the Canton Tower makes up for everything else. Even though there's some obstruction, the emotional value is still maximized, largely compensating for any shortcomings. The service that really impressed me was from Mia and Tina; I was very satisfied when I went downstairs to extend my stay, and their smiles were very sweet. Recommendation Index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️, five stars, because there were pleasant surprises amidst the imperfections!

Fantastic! It was a perfect experience from the software (service) to the hardware (facilities)👍👍👍! The breakfast was incredibly rich, and the shrimp wontons were handmade on-site, super fresh! There were three coffee machines at the restaurant entrance, near the window seats, and in the middle, which were not only convenient for guests to grab coffee anytime, but you could also pack it to go and enjoy it in your room after finishing your meal. This attention to guest experience is truly thoughtful! Flawless 👏👏👏! As a Ctrip VIP, my room was upgraded upon check-in, and the room was absolutely beautiful 😻😻😻! The design is very user-friendly; the separate toilet is near the entrance, which is a clever placement 👍👍👍. The smart toilet automatically lifts its lid as you approach the bathroom door. The vanity and the bathtub/shower are together, which is very practical! Also, the light switches in each area allow for both master on/off and individual control, which is very eco-friendly, convenient, and user-centric! A highly satisfying stay with excellent value for money!

For the past three Christmases, my family and I have enjoyed a hotel vacation at Garden Hotel, and this year was no exception. We used a pre-purchased room voucher, and this year's special included dinner at the Summit Revolving Restaurant – once one of the city's most popular buffets, a must-visit when staying here. What truly stood out this time was the exceptional service from the staff. Their professionalism was top-notch, from the front desk to the guest services center and the buffet restaurant. Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, ensuring my twins had a fantastic weekend. Regarding the room, we were upgraded to an executive room, our first time staying in one here. The biggest difference from a standard suite was the significantly larger space, especially the bathroom. The view from the window directly overlooked Friendship Shopping Mall, and the evening lights truly gave it a 'city that never sleeps' vibe. Of course, there was one minor disappointment: their famous waterfall began renovations on December 7th and won't reopen until January 1st, 2026. We missed the chance to take photos at this popular spot, haha.

I arrived in a panic because I was 40RMB short for my long hour and a half taxi ride, but the concierge Ricky came out to the taxi and paid the remainder from his very own money. I was then able to exchange Australian dollars for Chinese RMB and pay Ricky back. Things like this do not happen. The whole staff were amazing and ever so helpful. This was my first time in Guangzhou and my third Ritz-Carlton experience. Compared to the aging Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai and the East-meets-West style of the Sanya Ritz, the Guangzhou Ritz offers a understated yet refined luxury. From the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance from the airport until checking in at the club lounge, we experienced professional and perfectly balanced service. Every staff member we encountered had a warm and friendly smile on their face. This trip to Guangzhou was primarily a vacation with my fiancée, and I planned a proposal, which was a complete success. Of course, the proposal's success was largely due to the support and assistance from General Manager Louis Fang. I also want to thank Manager Zhang from the club for helping me with some minor issues, as well as the perfect night view outside our window and the meticulous and professional service from all the club staff. The lobby and physical rooms are notably much older than what the photos suggest, creating a significant gap between expectation and reality. The hotel features different wings, ranging from new to quite old, and during my conversations, I noticed that this concern wasn't adequately addressed by the front desk staff. If you're seeking a more modern interior, I highly recommend requesting a room in the new wing to ensure a more pleasant stay. Room: Newly Renovated (Zhenpin, 臻品). Modern, clean, fully furnished. Comfortable bed, a bit on the hard type, but not too hard. TV has international channels. Comes with small fridge. Lighting not the brightest, but sufficient . Has night lights. Carpet does need a bit of upgrade , luckily well maintained, no smell/odour. Air conditioning is strong. Overall clean and comfortable room. Bathroom: Huge shower room for standing showering, bath tub next to window with view of Zhujiang/Pearl River and Guangzhou Tower, and separate room for toilet. Water pressure is strong for showering. The only slight inconvenience is no bidet/hose, but has another basin right next to toilet seat, so not too bad. Facilities: Full fledged gym, from third party vendo. Good go beginner to professional gym goers. Launderette is convenient, clean, modern, and free of charge. Just need to queue a bit during peak hours. Breakfast buffet: Gorgeous view of Guangzhou Tower & Zhujiang Pearl River. Food variety is adequate, International selection. Location: Strategic. Quite near Beijing Road, but on the quieter area. Need to walk 2-5mins to the nearest popular eatery and convenience store. Next to the hotel is an old mall, has Luckin coffee, some fashion shops.

For our National Day family trip, we chose to stay at the Crowne Plaza in the heart of Guangzhou. The hotel room was very spacious and well-equipped. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and close proximity to Guangzhou East Railway Station. Right across from the hotel is Poly Time Square. The breakfast at the hotel's Baiyue Restaurant was also fantastic. Anne was incredibly warm, patient, and provided meticulous service.
