How to Buy Guangzhou Metro Tickets?
Guangzhou Metro now makes payment much easier for international visitors. All stations including the APM line support the four major foreign bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB and Discover), and you can simply tap your card at any gate displaying the card logo to enter and exit.
You can also buy a Single Journey Ticket (the green plastic token 🟢) from station ticket machines using cash or mobile payment. Frequent travellers can use the Guangzhou Metro official app or the WeChat or Alipay mini-program to generate a QR code ticket for quick entry. Visitors may also purchase a stored-value Yang Cheng Tong Card at the service counter, with a refundable 20 RMB deposit, and use it for buses and ferries as well. The room is clean, the service is excellent as always, all the receptionist and the cleaning lady all of them is very helpful, they even help with my taobao packages which happen to be delivered to the hotel on the day we supposed to check out
And for guest like us who dont really speak much Chinese, no neeed to worry, the receptionist can communicate very well in English

The front desk reimbursed my taxi fare from T3 to the hotel, and there was a dedicated shuttle service to T3 at 4:30 AM the next morning. The hotel is generally clean, new, and well-equipped. The front desk answers calls quickly and provides excellent service. The room isn't huge but it's comfortable, and both the bed and pillows are cozy. There's heating, though it takes about 5-10 minutes for the hot water to get truly hot. You can't hear any airplane noise at all at night. It's really great value for the price.FromVND 552,347

Very good hotel for travelers visiting Guangzhou.
The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from Xiaobei Metro Station and very close to the famous Arab Street, where you can find many halal restaurants, Middle Eastern food, and Arab shops.
It’s also close to Guangzhou Railway Station, which makes transportation around the city very convenient.
The room was clean and comfortable for a short stay, and the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.
Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This time I was on a business trip, and I chose Hampton, which is about a 10-minute walk from the convention center, instead of a closer hotel. The main reason was that Hampton's rooms are more spacious and look very clean. Upon arrival, all the services were excellent. They kindly upgraded our room type for free and even recommended some great local restaurants, which was really a nice touch! I've stayed in so many hotels, but this was the first time I've encountered complimentary late-night snacks. After a whole day of exploring and eating, I was too full for dinner, but I managed to grab a bowl of noodles just before the late-night snack service ended. The hotel is as we remembered - still as classy and elegant, with its stunning lobby and beautifully manicured central courtyard garden. The suite we were upgraded to has been recently renovated to a high standard and there are signs that other parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment too (for example, work on the roof) which is a good sign of regular maintenance. A pity though that the breakfast, whilst still brimming with choice and variety, has lost some of its quality. Breakfast at the hotel was, during our last visit, a serene experience we anticipated every morning. On our current revisit, the breakfast room has become chaotic and noisy like a railway terminal, as the hotel appears to gear increasingly towards catering for large conference groups. Tables, hitherto confined to the actual breakfast room and the lovely tree-arbored terrace overlooking the fountains and ponds, have now spilled over into the colonnaded corridors of the garden, ruining both the ambience and lowering the tenor of what used to be an elegant ritual. You have to drive around the underground parking garage, it would be better if you could park right at the entrance. It's a bit inconvenient to take three different elevators to get to your room. Staying here during the Spring Festival felt so festive and welcoming!
The hotel offered delightful Spring Festival activities like writing 'Fu' characters and making sugar paintings. My kids absolutely loved the children's activity area on the third floor, with its movie room, board games, and craft activities.
**Hygiene:** The room was tidy and clean, and they cleaned it whenever requested. There was also a turndown service in the evening, with a water glass and bottled water thoughtfully placed by the bedside.
**Environment:** The location is excellent, right in Garden Square, with the Guangdong Provincial Museum just downstairs, a 5-minute walk away. The hotel rooms start from the 70th floor, offering a 'above the clouds' experience. This time, I stayed in a Pearl River panoramic room, and not only did I have an unobstructed view of the Pearl River, but I could also enjoy a full panoramic view of the Canton Tower right from the room! Amazing!
**Facilities:** The mini-bar was well-stocked, and there were even a Gongfu tea set, a capsule coffee machine, and books provided. Sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window, sipping tea and reading, with the Pearl River view right there, it was incredibly relaxing!

The room was supposedly upgraded to a business room, but it turned out to be a family room. Luckily, the space was quite large, the sofa was very comfortable to lie on, and the river view from the window was excellent. The gym might be temporary; it was very basic, but it offered a view of the Canton Tower. The bathroom door couldn't close properly and made a loud noise, so I had to be extremely quiet when using the toilet at night to avoid waking my friend. Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite good, the gym is excellent, and you can even see the Canton Tower from the 63rd floor with not many people around.
Hygiene: To be honest, the hygiene was pretty average. For example, the blinds in the toilet couldn't be fully closed, so there was no point in having them covered in a lot of dust. We booked two rooms, and in one of them, the toothbrush holder had a lot of dust, and even hair. The toilet floor always felt sticky.
Environment: The hotel's surrounding environment is good, and the room space is also very large, with a walk-in closet.
