Guangzhou Metro Map 2026 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 17 lines, covering more than 700 kilometres and over 300 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Railway Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition’s main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Canton Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

This hotel is within walking distance of Guangzhou East Railway Station and Metro Lines 1/3. Downstairs, you'll find Oriental Baotai and IKEA, and it's close to Taikoo Hui/Zhengjia. It's super convenient for business trips, transfers, and exploring the city's food and shopping. 2. **Space and Hygiene**: The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and many bathrooms come with a bathtub. Housekeeping is excellent, with no unpleasant odors, and some higher floors offer city views. 3. **Breakfast** is the biggest highlight – with a wide variety of options and great service, even international guests can enjoy a comfortable dining experience.

Our last stop in Guangdong with the whole family, the front desk lady saw how many of us there were and proactively recommended a more suitable room type. The hotel environment is comfortable and well-designed. The pool temperature is perfect for kids, and the bathroom's steam room and hot tub are great for the elderly, washing away the fatigue from Chimelong. The executive lounge offers a rich and delicious dinner, and breakfast has a wide variety of options. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to visit Canton Tower, go shopping, and explore the flower market, satisfying the different needs of three generations. And there's one more thing that makes me want to give extra stars: when we got to the airport, we realized my child's phone watch was missing. Its battery was low, so we couldn't pinpoint the floor. Manager Liu (Rae) and Manager Chen (Kyl), along with their staff, searched every floor, even going through trash cans, until 2 AM, and finally found it.

Location was great. Connected to the Onelinkwalk Mall. So easy to find food in the mall or even outside the mall throughout the day. Can easily walk to the many other malls from there - Grandview Mall, Parc Central Mall etc. The massage chairs in the relaxation room was also pretty cool. The rooms were very comfortable and suitable for families with kids.

The Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe offers an excellent overall experience, balancing all aspects perfectly to meet five-star hotel standards. From check-in to check-out, the service was attentive and thoughtful, rooms were kept spotless, and facilities were well-maintained. Its convenient location is a particular highlight, making it ideal for both business trips and city exploration. I highly recommend it to travelers seeking quality accommodation. A special shout-out to Vicky, the account manager, who went above and beyond by pre-reserving two adjoining rooms for me, which was incredibly helpful for looking after my children. Her professionalism and dedication deserve a perfect 100% rating!

I chose to stay at the Sheraton Guangzhou again. My flight arrived late at night, and I checked in well past midnight. I contacted the hotel in advance to reserve a room, and they gave me the high-floor room I prefer! Although Guangzhou has been quite hot these past few days, the air conditioning in the hotel was too cold. I had to call housekeeping again at night to ask for an extra blanket, and they brought it very quickly! I really have to commend the customer service staff; whether it was day or night, they were able to quickly resolve any requests and were always incredibly enthusiastic and polite! The hotel room was spacious and bright, the shower had great water pressure, and the toiletries were good too! The executive lounge only has a two-hour happy hour for dinner; otherwise, it only offers soft drinks. The dinner at the executive lounge was quite good, with delicious dishes and desserts! For breakfast, I chose the buffet restaurant on the 2nd floor. Since it was Chinese New Year and there were many guests, the breakfast area was very crowded, and everyone had to queue for a table. Luckily, the food selection was rich and of good quality. I highly recommend the wonton noodles; they taste fantastic! There's a wide variety of teas for breakfast, including red date and goji berry tea, red date and ginger tea, Hong Kong-style milk tea, floral tea, black tea, green tea, etc., all of which are good. Plus, you can take coffee and tea to go from the breakfast restaurant, which is a real bonus! The hotel's location is excellent, right near Tee Mall and Grandview Mall, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient! And since it's in the city center, getting anywhere is easy! Check-in and check-out at the front desk were both quick and efficient! I'll definitely stay here again!

This was my first stay at a Marriott, and the front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a higher floor with a fantastic view. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of the housekeeper, Wang Chunfang, who helped us recover our child's retainer. My child accidentally left it in the room, wrapped in tissue, and most housekeepers might have easily thrown it out with the trash, so finding it was truly remarkable. Furthermore, Marriott's management and procedures are incredibly professional. They contacted me promptly after finding the retainer, but I was busy and missed the call. When I called back that evening, the person who answered had already changed shifts, but they immediately understood the entire situation by checking the system and made all the necessary arrangements. Overall, our stay at Zhengjia Marriott was extremely pleasant, and I'll definitely choose Marriott again if I have the chance!

When I checked in at the Baiyun Hotel in Guangzhou this time, I had booked a Business Executive King Room. However, the front desk informed me that it was fully booked and I could only get a standard king room. This was a clear downgrade from the room type and price I had reserved. The 25th floor, which I specifically wanted, is a non-smoking floor. Unfortunately, all the rooms of my booked type on the 25th floor were occupied. While there were rooms available on other floors, they were not non-smoking areas. Due to health reasons, I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I was reluctantly forced to take a standard king room on the 25th floor. This was quite frustrating and annoying. Additionally, in the bathroom, it was very difficult to switch the shower faucet to the showerhead; it took me a long time to finally get it to work. I hope this can be looked into and maintained.

The hotel's service truly made me feel the warmth and hospitality of a French hotel. There weren't many people in the evening, and since I was traveling with a child, the hotel specially upgraded our room. The environment was fantastic, and the room's layout, decor, and even the pictures exuded a romantic and cozy vibe. I particularly loved the design of the bathroom, shower, and vanity. Even the toothpaste came in a unique paper sachet. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Guangzhou, apart from the Park Hyatt – seriously, no competition. The value for money absolutely crushes the Park Hyatt. No wonder it's a favorite among both local and international travelers! A special shout-out to the hotel's wonderful service!

I really don't understand why this place only has a 4.4 rating. We stayed in room 3009, which the front desk upgraded for us. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, tidy, and had large windows letting in plenty of sunshine. The adjacent room, 3010, was a bit smaller. The elevator was fast and quiet, much better than the one at another duplex apartment in Zhengjia Plaza. When we arrived, two handsome young men immediately came to help us with our luggage and brought it to our room. By the way, even a five-star hotel like the Garden Hotel doesn't offer this kind of service; we always have to carry our own luggage there, without even a chance to tip. The breakfast was small, exquisite, and delicious – perfectly adequate. The view from outside the restaurant was lovely; enjoying breakfast while looking at the scenery outside the window in the morning put us in a great mood. The restaurant staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, thumbs up! This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip, and we've stayed at places like the Jin Mao in Shanghai, the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, and the Howard Johnson in Sanya.

Honest review: The room was quite clean, smoke-free, and odorless, right across from Guangdong TV Station. High floor with a wide view. It's listed as a 5-star hotel, but I'd say it's an older 5-star. There were many foreign guests from various continents and countries. My room's electronic control system had some issues; it wasn't very responsive. While taking the elevator, I also overheard others saying they had no hot water at 1 AM?! Not sure if that's true. The front desk service was excellent. They allowed a late checkout until 2 PM, which was perfect because my flight was delayed. A big shout out to the front desk attendant – I forgot her name, but it had the character '纯' (chún)! The room was spacious and breakfast was great! There were a couple of areas for improvement, though. When our family of six arrived in the lobby, there was no one there to greet or guide us. Other guests who came into the lobby after us were immediately assisted by staff. Then, after waiting for a bit, an employee came up to us and asked if we were checking out! That was quite annoying.

Evaluating your hotel stay is essential to sharing your experience with others or planning future trips. Here are some descriptive evaluations based on common factors: The hotel was ideally situated close to major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city. However, accessing public transport could have been simpler. The check-in process was a breeze, with friendly staff who greeted us warmly. We felt welcomed right from the start. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness and the overall ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the decor gave a cozy feel. However, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable, which was inconvenient for our planning. The common areas were well-maintained and inviting. We enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which offered a diverse menu. The breakfast buffet was especially noteworthy, with fresh options every morning. The gym facilities were adequate, though a bit crowded during peak hours.

This time I was on a business trip, and I chose Hampton, which is about a 10-minute walk from the convention center, instead of a closer hotel. The main reason was that Hampton's rooms are more spacious and look very clean. Upon arrival, all the services were excellent. They kindly upgraded our room type for free and even recommended some great local restaurants, which was really a nice touch! I've stayed in so many hotels, but this was the first time I've encountered complimentary late-night snacks. After a whole day of exploring and eating, I was too full for dinner, but I managed to grab a bowl of noodles just before the late-night snack service ended. It was incredibly satisfying!

Following up on my previous review, besides the excellent location and spacious rooms, the hotel's service is really top-notch. I used the room's coat rack to dry some laundered clothes, and when the housekeeping auntie cleaned during the day, she thoughtfully moved them to the window with a note saying they would get constant sun there. For someone from the 'north' without a dryer, you can't imagine how much of a lifesaver that was! Thank you, Auntie Xia! On one of the days, it was my partner's birthday, and the hotel quietly left a cake on the coffee table – a classic, old-school five-star touch. A small suggestion: perhaps the hotel could consider adding a self-service washer and dryer, or failing that, at least some drying lines?

Overall, it was a good experience. Facilities: Perhaps because it's an older hotel, the facilities felt a bit dated in comparison. The toilet flush seemed a bit weak, not sure if it was partially clogged or what. Cleanliness: Good Environment: Good Service: Good

Choosing to stay at the Four Seasons Guangzhou on Chinese New Year's Eve was absolutely the right decision! 🎉 The front desk is on the 70th floor. A lovely front desk attendant, upon learning we were visiting Guangzhou with our child specifically for New Year's, enthusiastically upgraded us to a Guangzhou Tower view room! Our room was on the 87th floor, and the moment we opened the door, we were truly amazed—the Canton Tower seemed almost within reach outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and the entire dazzling night view of Zhujiang New Town was laid out before us. It was incredibly impressive. The room layout was excellent, and the space was very generous. Our child had a blast playing hide-and-seek. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were of high quality. Breakfast was, as always, up to Four Seasons standards—truly excellent. While the variety wasn't exceptionally vast, the quality was outstanding! On the morning of the first day of the New Year, the hotel even arranged dragon and lion dances on every floor, wishing every guest good fortune. In the lobby, there was also a master calligrapher writing Spring Festival couplets and 'Fu' characters, which our child thoroughly enjoyed participating in. Check-out was also very smooth, handled by a very enthusiastic staff member. Thumbs up!

Before my trip, I checked out hotels in this area and ultimately chose Huaxia. I picked it after seeing that the negative reviews for other hotels in the same vicinity were mostly about trivial, unimportant issues. My flight landed at Baiyun in the morning. I took two subway stops out of the airport area, then a taxi to the hotel. The front desk service was excellent. When I checked in, I asked for a room with a view of Canton Tower, and the front desk staff immediately gave me room 12 on the top floor. Both windows in the room offered a great view of Canton Tower. The room was very clean, odor-free, and quite spacious, with different areas separated by frosted glass partitions. The hotel's location is extremely convenient. There are direct shuttle buses to Hong Kong and Macau right downstairs. There's also a tourist double-decker bus on the street. It costs 148 per person normally, and you can sign up at the tea room on the first floor, but I didn't join as I felt it wasn't good value for money. The F exit of Metro Line 6 is right next to the hotel, directly opposite. In hindsight, taking the subway from the airport to the hotel would have been much quicker and more convenient than a taxi. For sightseeing, you can catch the Tourist Line 2 minibus right by the hotel entrance. It costs 2 yuan per person for the entire route. One end goes directly to Canton Tower, and the other end can take you to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shamian Island, and Yongqingfang.

I chose this hotel because I wanted something convenient for my trip and a reliable brand, so I picked Crowne Plaza. To my surprise, it turned out to be an amazing experience! Perhaps because we had to wait a bit longer, the lovely Umi upgraded our room to the 63rd floor and offered a complimentary breakfast for one day. The view from the room was incredible, and we even got to watch fireworks from inside – absolutely fantastic 👍🏻. All in all, this hotel truly goes the extra mile for its guests, paying attention to every detail. It's definitely worth another visit.
