Guangzhou Metro Map 2026 (from Guangzhou Metro Official & Wikipedia)

Guangzhou Metro is one of the most advanced urban rail systems in China. It now operates 17 lines, covering more than 700 kilometres and over 300 stations. The network covers 11 districts across the city, making it a convenient and reliable way to travel for both locals and visitors.

Lines 1 to 6 link the main business areas and major transport hubs. The suburban lines, such as Line 7 and Line 14, extend to nearby districts including Panyu and Conghua. Line 3 goes north to Baiyun International Airport, while Line 2/Line 7/Line 22 connects to Guangzhou South Station, a major high-speed rail hub. The metro also provides easy access to the Canton Fair through Line 8, which stops at Pazhou Station, the exhibition’s main venue.

Several lines also provide easy access to popular attractions. You can reach Guangzhou Tower on Line 3, Shamian on Line 6, and Chimelong on Lines 3 or 7. The APM line in Zhujiang New Town (Tianhe CBD) also helps connect busy commercial areas, offering passengers fast and efficient travel across the city.

For journeys between cities or especially long metro trips (e.g., Guangzhou to Foshan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen), consider taking China's high-speed rail (HSR) or intercity trains instead. These trains are significantly faster, covering 50 km in just 15–30 minutes, while the metro takes over an hour. Although fares are slightly higher than the metro, the time saved makes the train an ideal choice for regional travel.

Trip.com's free room upgrade was great; we went straight from the most basic room type to the executive floor. However, the window faced another building directly, so the view was a bit questionable. **Facilities:** The hotel has been open for a long time, so it's understandable that the decor is old, which I had anticipated. But some design flaws are hard to comprehend. The toilet and shower share one door? This bathroom definitely can't accommodate more than two people. There's no place to put your phone in the toilet stall, and the bed was too soft, leaving me with body aches after sleeping. **Service:** After the room was cleaned on the second day, new bathrobes weren't provided. **Location:** It's very close to Linhexi subway station. I chose this hotel because I needed to take the APM line with my child, so its biggest advantage is the location.

Absolutely amazing stay at Fraser Suites. This was one of our highlights in GZ. The location is fantastic and connected to the One link Walk. Walking distance to all the major malls and Grandview Mall too. The superstars are definitely the staff. Housekeeping and concierge are impeccable, everyone is attentive and polite and ready to help. This trip, my family fell ill and the staff was ready to help us, assisting my husband to the hospital and getting everything sorted out so that it'd be stress free. We were blown away by their service. This is the best hotel we have stayed at to date anywhere and we will definitely be looking out for Fraser Suites on our future travels. Thank you!

Traveling to Guangzhou with my child, I chose the Marriott Hotel at Zhengjia Plaza. Managers Miya and Jason saw that we were traveling with a child and upgraded us to a family親子 room for free, which came with a bunk bed and a slide – my child absolutely loved it! The room was incredibly spacious with a great view and no noise, making for a very quiet night. The hotel breakfast was also delicious; we ate there for two consecutive days and there were many different dishes. Upon being seated, the staff would proactively ask if we needed tea or coffee, and finished plates were cleared immediately. Everything was very orderly. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel again next time we bring our child to Guangzhou!

A Luxurious Retreat with Standout Amenities My stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich was excellent. The hotel truly excels in two key areas: first-class amenities and exceptional service. The pool and spa area is a genuine oasis—beautifully designed and perfectly equipped for relaxation. Equally impressive was the staff, who were consistently helpful, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. For complete transparency, my experience had two minor drawbacks. My room, while comfortable and well-appointed, showed slight signs of wear and would benefit from some maintenance updates. The dining experience was also inconsistent; some dishes were memorable, while others were merely average. That said, these points did little to diminish an otherwise wonderful stay. The overall comfort, serene ambiance, and superb service make the Sofitel Sunrich a hotel I would happily return to and recommend without hesitation.

My stay at W Guangzhou completely exceeded my expectations! During check-in, Olina at the front desk immediately noticed my birthday note on the reservation. She not only thoughtfully upgraded me to a panoramic suite, but also had service manager Natty Clark Rebecca deliver a custom hotel chocolate cake and a handwritten greeting card. When I returned to my room in the evening, I found the turndown service had drawn the curtains, placed a lavender essential oil diffuser by the bed, and even set out the citrus-scented hand cream I had casually mentioned liking on the vanity. These kinds of details, truly making guests feel cared for, instantly gave me a warm, home-like feeling. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!

I checked in around 4 PM, and after a long wait, the front desk told me my room wasn't ready. They suggested I go to the executive lounge to wait (which I had paid for). After checking in, I noticed construction downstairs. I was exhausted from traveling with my child and thought I'd just make do for one night. However, when I checked my booking, I realized I hadn't been given a room on floors 18-21, and the noise from downstairs was unbearable. After contacting the hotel, I was moved to a suite with a street view. Still, I was woken up by construction noise early in the morning. I'm not one to rush my schedule; all I want is a good night's sleep. If I had known this, I definitely wouldn't have chosen this hotel. I wonder if all the garden view rooms are given to foreign guests, 'hehe'. The executive lounge was the most cramped I've ever seen – tables packed together, dim lighting, and no windows. No windows, seriously! The breakfast selection was quite good, and the revolving restaurant on the 30th floor closes at 11 AM. The staff member who helped me change rooms and the lady who assisted with luggage storage at check-out provided excellent service. The garden view is beautiful.

This was my fourth stay at the Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, so I'm very familiar with the hotel. Its location is convenient, right in the heart of Zhujiang New Town. Some rooms offer views of the Canton Tower, while most overlook the green axis of Huacheng Avenue. For first-time visitors to Zhujiang New Town, the view from the window is quite novel, but for repeat guests, it might feel a bit restricted. The rooms are on the smaller side for a hotel of this caliber, especially the twin rooms, which are narrower compared to most Hyatt properties in other cities. The bathtub has always been a small, square design; it's somewhat creative, but actually moving around in it for a soak is difficult. However, the hotel's public areas are well-designed. The swimming pool is on the top floor and includes hot spring pools, which are much more comfortable and spacious than the in-room bathtubs. Breakfast is a definite highlight; I have a great impression of their fish porridge, wonton noodles, and dim sum. It's clear they put more effort into their breakfast than most other hotels.

The hotel was excellent! As soon as we arrived at the airport, the hotel staff arranged a car to pick us up. There are many hidden local eateries and convenience stores nearby. They are very friendly towards foreigners. Evaluating your hotel stay is essential to sharing your experience with others or planning future trips. Here are some descriptive evaluations based on common factors: The hotel was ideally situated close to major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city. However, accessing public transport could have been simpler. The check-in process was a breeze, with friendly staff who greeted us warmly. We felt welcomed right from the start. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness and the overall ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the decor gave a cozy feel. However, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable, which was inconvenient for our planning. The common areas were well-maintained and inviting. We enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which offered a diverse menu. The breakfast buffet was especially noteworthy, with fresh options every morning. I stayed in Building 2, and the air conditioning didn't provide heat. 1. After I reported the issue, housekeeping brought a space heater. They said that if I set the AC panel to 'cool' and the temperature to 22 degrees, it would produce warm air. 2. I felt no difference with my hand. An engineer came but couldn't fix the problem, saying he had to wait for someone else, so I went to eat. 3. When I returned after dinner, the room was quite warm (because the space heater had been on), but the air coming from the vent still felt like room temperature. Later, they used a temperature gun, and the vent temperature was 24 degrees Celsius, while the wall temperature was 21. I mentioned that if there was actual heating, the vent temperature would typically be over 30 degrees. They claimed it wasn't set that high, even though the AC panel was set to 'cool.' Summary: 1. The space heater provided was acceptable. 2. However, the attempt to deceive guests about the AC's heating function was quite annoying.

The room itself was modern and well-equipped, clean, and comfortable, with attention to detail that really showcased its quality. This stay completely exceeded my expectations; the professionalism and warmth I experienced throughout were truly memorable. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! 🌟

Our stay in the Executive Suite was excellent. The room was spacious, with a separate living room and bedroom. The facilities were complete and very new, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with quick hot water. The afternoon tea and evening snacks at the Executive Lounge were top-notch. It was amazing how you could see planes flying overhead just a few minutes walk from the hotel, yet hear absolutely nothing in the room – the soundproofing was superb. The room also offered expansive views, plenty of natural light throughout, and attention to detail was impeccable. Overall, it exceeded our expectations in terms of value for money. The small garden behind the hotel was a delightful surprise; it was lush, tranquil, and elegant. It was perfect for a stroll in the morning, after meals, or in the evening. P.S. On our first morning, we chose to have breakfast on the first floor. The staff member who greeted us showed us to our table and asked what we'd like to drink, but no one ever brought it to us. If the staff are too busy, it's probably better not to ask guests what they want to drink out of courtesy!
