Service is not at the level expected anymore for the price category of the hotel, used to be excellent in the category (been going for a few years now). Room not cleaned properly etc plus there was loud party music coming from downstairs and receptionist could only advise that it will stop at 12am - which for this price point of the hotel is not acceptable. You are likely to find a better hotel / service in the local area in the same price category that is far superior on service. Food is good here.

Location is great, very close to King’s Cross station and St. Pancras station. Many attractions such as The British Museum, Convent Garden, Coal Drop Yard etc. are all in a walkable distance. However, due to the heat wave, extremely hot weather, while waiting for check in at the lobby, the waiting queue is super long, it was very hot and unbreathable. There is also no AC or fan in the room, and no fridge. With a strap tied to the window, we could only open a small gap, not enough for the oxygen to enter the room. It was too hot during the night, the room was like an oven, we couldn’t sleep, had to get to the lobby to ask for a solution, the staffs said that they have fan for borrow, but that night they already lended it all out. They marked our room number and said will deliver a fan to our room the next night, but the other night after we get back to our room we did not see any fan in our room. Lastly, the lock of our bathroom is broken.

Very modern and clean hotel, fairly spacious room. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was of a very good quality. I asked for a quiet room - I could hear water flowing through the pipes in the wall (quite subtle) but it stopped before midnight and was fairly quiet through the night. Overall I was quite happy with my stay!

It was a short stay so we did not really use their facilities. The location was great as it was in between two tube stations and had a lot of stores nearby. I would recommend it to travelers who are looking for a short stay and a convenient location for their trip. Staff were professional and friendly, also very informative as we asked for locations, assistance in making further travel arrangements.

The actual room is slightly smaller than the picture, and the two people live in a compact room. In addition, the internal environment is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the reception staff are warm and friendly. Equipped with elevator and laundry room, very friendly to tourists who need to wash clothes. The location is excellent, six or seven minutes walk from the British Museum, there are many restaurants around, there is a 24-hour supermarket, the subway station is just around the corner downstairs, very convenient. In addition, because it is located in the downtown area and facing the street, there will be noise at night, depending on the degree of personal acceptance.

We were originally booked into the Beauchamp but a few days prior were moved to their sister hotel next door called the Portland. We were very disappointed to see the difference in accommodation compared to the photos of the Beauchamp we had booked - the Portland is extremely dated and not modern looking like the other. After a long day in London and late evening being spent at BST Hyde Park, this was disappointing to arrive to. Not only this - the hotel corridors are so narrow it is like a marble run trying to navigate your way round, When we arrived to our room, it was extremely hot to the point of sweating - we had to instantly open all windows and luckily found two big fans in the cupboard which we had to leave on all night. Also, although a quad was booked and in the photos this shows two double beds - we arrived to one double bed and a pull out sofa bed with a paper thin mattress - my poor daughter barely slept do to being uncomfortable and it feeling like she was being poked in the back. This being said - the reception staff were always lovely, polite and very attentive. We were offered free breakfast which we went to the Beauchamp to have and on walking in we could definitely see it was more modern - and the cooked breakfast was actually lovely, staff were very nice and service was quick. One request would be to have the offer of a latte/cappuccino etc. rather than just your standard tea and filter coffee. So to sum it up - don't book the Portland over the two :)

Great hotel! highly recommended! Excellent location, go straight to the British Museum, walk for three minutes, walk 6 minutes from Holborn subway station. The hotel service is particularly good. From the door, there is a service staff who takes the initiative to open the door and take the baggage. It is already in the room when you check in. When you leave, someone will help with the baggage, and you don't even need to bring it out. This is for traveling alone. It’s really great! At 11 o'clock, I have not yet arrived at the check-in time. The front desk will arrange a free lobby for a tea break. No matter where I see the service staff, I will always say hello and friendly greetings, full of service awareness. Breakfast is traditional English and is as varied as it was when you were studying at Oxford. The hotel decoration also has a strong traditional British flavor, the room is very clean, the hot water is very good, I have a service staff to send a small biscuit to welcome after the check-in, go out at night and find someone cleaned the room. Because the hotel is in the heart of London, the room size is not that big. If you want to experience the traditional British style and exquisite service, this is definitely a good choice! Although it is a bit more expensive, I personally feel that it is very worthwhile to experience travel to London!

The location was excellent, 5 min walk from the train and DLR stations and a short stroll to the vibrant Greenwich with all its attractions. We particularly appreciated the little kitchenette as we cook all our own meals. The bathroom was nice, spacious and warm. We had all we needed for a comfortable stay and would stay here again. My recent stay at the Bexleyheath Marriott was a delightful experience. The hotel's convenient location, coupled with its modern and comfortable amenities, made it the perfect choice for my trip. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly comfortable queen-size bed. After a long day of exploring London, I found myself sinking into the soft, plush mattress and enjoying a restful night's sleep. The bedding was luxurious, and the room was quiet, providing the ideal environment for relaxation. Beyond the comfortable bed, the Marriott exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, and the dining options were excellent. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a more formal dining experience, the Marriott has something to offer. Overall, I highly recommend the Bexleyheath Marriott for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in London. The queen-size bed alone is worth the visit!

Lovely and modern inside main reception/restaurant area, but a few teething issues which will hopefully get sorted now up and running again. I was given the key to someone elses room, so walked into a room full of belongings and then the next day my key lost it's programming, so had to go back to reception yet again. Rooms aren't very sound proofed, so there was a few nights where I had people non stop walking through the corridors at gone midnight shouting and singing where likely drunk from the bar. Overall okay stay for the money though, bottles of water and a few biscuits were provided too which was a lovely touch. Bar prices very reasonable too

Terrible hotel. Checked in, got to room only to find someone else in bed. Was told by receptionist that ‘there couldn’t be’!! Stayed two nights. On both nights first two items on menu choice were unavailable. On second night third choice was Nachos. Delivered to table without chilies, sour cream or cheese. So just the tomato sauce then. Apparently the chef couldn’t find the ingredients 🤦. Upon check out charged twice on card. Asked how stay was and told. Ignored. Never stay there again.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dockside and had a generally pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement. Location: The hotel is a bit removed from the city centre, which means you'll need to plan your travel carefully. We found ourselves relying mostly on the boat to Canary Wharf, which, while scenic, adds some time and coordination to each outing. Check-in Experience: The check-in process was a highlight. We were greeted warmly with the signature DoubleTree cookies – a small but lovely surprise. Even more thoughtful, the staff noted that we were celebrating a birthday and offered us two complimentary drinks at the bar. That personal touch really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Room Comfort: The room was comfortable enough, but there were a couple of issues worth noting. The soundproofing wasn’t great – we could clearly hear the sea waves throughout the night, which might be relaxing for some, but was a bit disruptive for us. Additionally, the bathroom could have been cleaner. We found garbage left in the bin, which detracted from the overall sense of hygiene and attention to detail. Overall: This hotel has some lovely, thoughtful staff and a few standout gestures that enhanced our stay. However, its distance from central London and a few cleanliness and soundproofing issues might not make it ideal for every traveller. With a bit more attention to room maintenance, it could be a much stronger option.

The following day we asked to have a room change which was no problem but we were put directly over the train station. They do supply ear plugs but boy is it noisy! Rooms are clean, facilities are good, staff friendly just make sure you ask for a room the opposite side of the hotel to the train station, unless you are a train spotter!

Very nice stay at the Bankside hotel though not without some difficulties. We had asked for a quiet room but were placed right next to the lift lobby and opposite the water dispenser, and with hard floors throughout the lift lobby and entrance area of the rooms this meant a LOT of noise coming in the room at all hours. In fairness, the front desk tried to find an alternative but it was not what we were looking for so we opted to stay where we were and made the best of it. Aside from this everything else about the stay was great, a really lovely modern hotel with very friendly and fun staff, great breakfast (though not cheap) and good location on the South Bank. We would definitely stay here again (though ask not to be in this room location). Special mention to breakfast staff who helped get extra fruit for our toddler and concierge who gave him Christmas gifts from the tree... lovely touches.

Everything was very good. Breakfast offers a lot of coice - except warm breakfast is only on Weekends. On the Trip site the check in time is incorrect (ov voucher it says after 12, but it is after 14) - despite us coming too early, they gave us the room and made coffee for free. The hotel is locked over night and the staff is really friendly. We were in the hotel trought the hottest days in history but they prepared a ventilator - because they don't have AC (normally).

Stayed for 3 nights with my mum in 2 rooms, I requested side by side or same floor rooms when I made the booking 3 months ago, however they put mum on ground floor and me in the basement. My mum’s room was terrible, smelt like damp wet carpet, it was tiny, dark and had no airflow. The bathroom was oddly located outside of the room through another door. My room was opposite a large storage space and next to the breakfast room. The noise from guests in neighbouring rooms, breakfast room in the morning, staff going in and out of store room and the constant sound from underground train every few minutes was quite unbearable. Even though I booked the same room type my room was much larger and better configured than the one my mum got. The place was a maze, the room numbering made no sense and we were forever getting lost. Staff were polite but definitely not service professionals and it was obvious that none of them wanted to be there. The only plus was location location location!!

We actually decided to walk back rather than join the crowded public transport, but it was quite a long walk, I’d recommend walking a short way out of the crowds then back on the 92. My wife and I had a stay at Mimis recently, and overall, we enjoyed it and would stay there again. However, I suggest doing some research beforehand, as the rooms are quite tiny. Even though we were aware of this before arriving, we were still a bit surprised by just how small they were. Despite this, it didn't negatively impact our experience or spoil our stay. The room and bathroom was nicely decorated. I only have a few minor observations rather than complaints. Upon check-in, we requested a late check-out, but the person at the reception seemed a bit abrupt, as he did with an older couple in front of us who had questions about their room location in the annex and that they hoped to stay in the main building. The pillows provided were not very supportive, as they deflated to almost nothing. If we had stayed for more than one night and asked for extra pillows, they would have been accommodating. Regarding breakfast, we inquired about the options available and were informed that they offered coffee and pastries. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide hot food, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have the choice of continental-style breakfast with cold meats and other items; we would have been willing to pay for it as we only wanted somthing light. Despite these very small things, they did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay. We still had a pleasant time, and we are looking forward to returning to Mimis in the future. Location is great!

Staff at The Waldorf are incredibly attentive to any / all needs. I asked for a later checkout and plates for food early in the morning after a night out and they accommodated that for us. The hotel is placed in a prime location, just a stones throw from Covent Garden and about 28-30 minutes walk from Regent Street. The hotel is only accessible by key card after hours; to ensure guest safety. Amenities in the room included an iron and board, kettle, drinking glasses and coffee / tea cups. The shower had fixed shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers. The mini bar was fairly priced for central London, but hadn't been cleaned (hence the slightly lower score on cleanliness). The air conditioning dried my throat out throughout the night, but turns off automatically if the window is open, so had to deal with that / just had water next to the bed throughout the night. The downstairs bar had a great atmosphere and boasts a large menu. Great for a late nightcap. Overall the experience was great. Our Queen room cost £179.00 for the night (excluding breakfast). I was offered two forms of upgrades. A larger Queen Room with breakfast included was only an extra £40.00, and a Kings Suite with access to the executive lounge and breakfast was £80.00 extra.
