I booked this hotel twice by accident because the Trip.com key button did not work. They were very rude and condescending when explaining to me that I needed to go back to the third-party agent. The latter then told me to go back to the hotel and I just went from one side to the other. it was just an accident I don’t know why they were so insistent in not refunding me.

The view is good and the room is good. It's comfortable to walk around. It's not far from the train station. Hot food for breakfast is a la carte, other buffets are available It’s not the most expensive hotel I stayed in during this trip, but it’s the most satisfying.

Nice hotel with parking (extra at £5 per day) Rooms were cold so had to put heater on all night which wasn't a problem. Staff very friendly. We stayed on floor 6 top floor room 602 and would definitely consider staying again.

Staff were absolutely brilliant they rescheduled my booking I was able to call back with a few different dates until I found a suitable one , the only negative was , the hairdryer didn’t work we had a bit of hassle with the tv remote had to have it changed twice , and had noisy upstairs neighbours , but apart from that couldn’t fault it , really comfortable bed , although there was no chair in the room it is an accessible room but with two people we had to sit on the bed it would not have been comfortable for anyone with posture issues

The Kenilworth House provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Gateshead will find that the Kenilworth House is a fantastic accommodation choice. Newcastle International Airport is located approximately 18km away while Sunderland Station is 25km away. The closest major public transportation, Gateshead Metro Station, is only 700m away. Keeping busy is easy, with Tyneside Cinema, Blackfriars Restaurant and Gateshead Millennium Bridge all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.

Enjoyed the hotel, great location but a little walk from public transport 15 to 30 mins depending. Parking a bit of a challenge for no real reason other than council control to make a profit. Hotel parking good during the day but get there after 4pm and it's a challenge, get there after 6pm and just park on the street outside 6pm to 8am.

The room is large and the facilities are very new, but there is no hair dryer or shower gel. These are not informed in advance, and the price has increased by 1000 than on weekdays, and it has risen to more than 1300. This is what I can't understand. Then there is no front desk service. The room is still safe. But the location is very close, there is no food nearby.

Stayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .

Staff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.

Lovely apartment and reasonably priced too. Off street secure parking in the city centre. Close to all amenities. Beautiful clean apartment. Staff member who checked us in was lovely and very helpful. Slight issue with the shower being way too hot, but had a bath tub too. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for a weekend while visiting the area. Really great hotel. Rooms are modern and comfy. Breakfast was very tasty and great selection. Staff friendly. 10 minutes walk to the metro station to get into Newcastle or to the airport. Toby carvery next door for a nice meal. Shops and supermarkets as well as the usual fast foods a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located near the train station, quiet in the bustling city, but not far from the commercial district. You can reach the main attractions in a dozen minutes' walk. It was a surprise that you can reach the Tyne River by walking down the stairs on the left. The scenery is beautiful. The room is bigger than expected, with a stove so you can cook something yourself. It was unexpected that the bathroom has floor heating. In short, it was a good experience.

Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. Travel is also very convenient, very close to the train station and supermarket, will consider here next time.

Hotel is located conveniently next to the river. We had received a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. The room is fully equipped with basic cooking amenities. Just wish to give our special gratitude to the guy welcoming at the front desk, he has granted us everything we need and is super caring to guests. We'll definitely choose this hotel if we travel to this part of the country again.

very good! When I first entered, I walked to the restaurant because it was raining. She was very considerate and sent my luggage and me to the front desk. The lady at the front desk was also very approachable. Many people didn't understand me when I first arrived and the card couldn't be used. She was very considerate and gave guidance. The hygiene is good, the bedding is clean, it's a few minutes away from the airport, and the subway station is nearby, which is very convenient!

We checked in and checked straight back out again after going into the room. The room was tiny definitely not suitable for more than 1 person. The ”double” bed was pushed right up against a wall and wasn't much bigger than a single bed. Room was dusty all over. The bathroom was bigger than the actual room although you couldn't actually sit on the toilet properly as the sink cabinet was right next to the toilet. The room stank of food as I'm guessing was above the kitchen as the big fans were next to the window. Couldn't open the window as the smell of food was then even worse so the room stank like burger grease. Room was really hot as the radiator was turned on however couldn't turn it off and opening the window wasn't an option either. Reception area is really nicely presented but definitely not a reflection on the rooms which are poor to say the least. Ended up booking into a second hotel round the corner which is amazing complete opposite end of the scale in comparison to the first. Unfortunately meant we've ended up paying for 2 hotels just for 1 night but lesson learnt.

A really lovely place. Made better by the pleasant and helpful staff. I rang ahead to ask about parking as I was attending an event and the person who answered the phone couldn’t have been more brilliant. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I’ll probably continue to now, having been coming up to Newcastle for 10+ years to visit friends this is probably the most pleasant and well priced place I have stayed in. I really recommend this place. I much preferred staying on the side of the road to where you check in though which would be my only point for the next time I come up.

The staff was super kind and helpful! They helped us check-in early and ALSO check-out later with no issue whatsoever! We also had an issue with the electricity in our room and, after explaining them the situation, they very promptly gave us another room so we could get ready for our event! Not only, in the end there was no need for another room because they rapidly fixed the issue! Would 100% recommend! The location was also great for both short Uber trips and short walking based on what you prefer/need!

Room was nice and clean, but air conditioning wasn’t working. Asked to change room because without air conditioning room was stuffy. The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is located close to the river, and it was very enjoyable to sit by the window of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The room refrigerator provides free drinks, which is very friendly to guests. The only downside is that the hotel parking space is too small, and cars that arrive late can only park outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant serves Italian food. To be honest, the quality is average. If it is not for the good view, you don't have to eat in the hotel.
