Greeted by receptionist who walked me through self check in machine.
Room was well appointed and looked clean. Liked that hotel provided crisps, chocolate, soft drinks and water for free in addition to the tea/coffee and biscuits. Bed was comfy.
Breakfast options were good with free from alternatives.
Checkout was easy via email link which I did while eating my breakfast then simply handed card key upon leaving,

|1.8km from city centreThe hotel is situated super near train station and Manchester airport. Shuttle bus service was good and drivers of the shuttle bus were helpful and humor. Hence, try not to walk to the hotel although it seems in a walking distance.
Hotel room is spacious and well lit.
Hotel's breakfast is good as well. Hence, it's definitely a good choice for short morning flight.

The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary snacks and drinks provided at check-in. The breakfast spread was excellent and delicious. The location is very convenient for Terminal 2. However, there aren’t any nearby restaurants, and since we were using Terminal 1, it took about 15 minutes to walk there. Overall, it’s a great choice, highly recommended.

Negatives; was ridiculously expensive for a 10m2 room with no breakfast 😳. Bed was barely a queen. I paid £140 for one night.

|1.73km from city centre1. We normally check out 11am? But the cleaner man knocked the door at 1030am. He is polite but it's really feeling bad as it seems push us to leave asap. I think it need to be improved.
2. The room is clean, but the blanket and the pillow very dirty.
3. It's very silent room and close to the train station. You can walk to the station and take the free bus travel around the center.
4. The price is very good price to stay in Manchester. I will choose to stay here again if I visited Manchester again.
5. The hotel is also a bit close to the bars. But the roads not dangerous. It's seems safe.

Firstly the was a poo stain on the toilet lid when I checked in and then later when I took a bath it was that hot that I burnt the bottom layer of my foot from the water. There is no way it should be running that hot. Then once I managed to cool my foot down and the bath. I burnt 2 of my toes just from touch the side of the taps. A very different experience from my first night stay and you can see from my review

|1.87km from city centreThe location is just 10 minutes walk from Manchester Airport Terminal 1. The room is clean but there is no fridge at all. It is a bit out of expectation that the bar and restaurant in the hotel are actually look exactly as its conference halls, I think they just put tables and chairs there in café setting and make it the restaurant, no any decent lighting, furniture, decorations to boost an dining atmosphere, not even sounds like a place for breakfast. You can see from the picture the venue can be reverted back to a conference hall just removing the table sets. A bit disappointed for the dinner of the night's stay as it is at hotel pricing, food is just ok. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, there is nothing close by unless you travel to other areas, the closest walkable location is the airport or the train station.

He also took later about 15mins later on to try and charge me for items I wanted to purchase from the front desk, even the security checked on him to make sure he was alright. Over the last 5 years I have stayed here many times for leisure and work. Always has been great hotel and staff, hotel was as usual was perfect I think they just need to address this staffing issue

The bed shelves are carved up and down, left and right, and the characters on the side of the bed. There is also a large mirror on the side of the bed. The left and right sides of the hotel are all bars and restaurants. It will not stop before 3am, especially the sound of drumming, although the sound is not loud, but the rhythm is similar to the heartbeat, which seriously affects the rest. Fortunately, the front desk service attitude is still very good, but also presented early, otherwise the shadow area is bigger.

Kettle and Teabags were also available if needed. The room did only have 1 chair at the desk which was a bit annoying, however not a major critique. Shower was very nice, towels and hand soaps / shower gels were provided. However the bathroom door did not have a lock on it as it was a sliding door. It was fine for us since we went as a couple, but is something to take note of. All in all, Great stay!!

I drank two bottles of water, but there was no deduction from the deposit—an unexpected bonus. However, there are a few areas for improvement in the hotel facilities. The blue bed runner is of poor quality; it sheds lint that ends up on the sheets. More attention should be given to the details of room amenities such as bedding and towels. Additionally, some beverages in the fridge require a bottle opener, but I couldn’t find one among the room tools. Wishing the hotel continued success in its operations.

The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – we had some of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! The room service was prompt, professional, and the food was delicious – a real treat after a long day exploring the city.
Speaking of relaxing – the spa was absolutely divine. Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. If you’re in need of some proper pampering, this is the place to be.
Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.
All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!

The staff are excellent and really pull the stops out to make your stay here extra special. The complimentary drink to meet other hotel patrons between 5-6pm is a welcomed touch. The food in the Refuge restaurant is of a high standard and I can honestly say that their Sunday Roasts are one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Sunday evening live jazz in the bar creates a great vibe. What I truly like about this 5* hotel is the atmosphere. Unlike most hotels, this hotel does not have that lifeless clinical feel that the majority of hotels who are catering to business clients. There restaurant and bars are of a quality where you would want to go even if you are not lucky enough to stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

缺點：按我們普通東亞人標準，衞生不行，而且房間有味道，每天清潔後的用品補給時有時無，好像全看housekeeper記不記得，但是你去要，他們態度很好。

It's next to a 24-hour McDonalds, which is even better. The decor is really old though; the TV and hairdryer didn't work. If you're just looking for a place to shower and sleep, it's fine.
