Oblu Select Lobigili - Premium All-Inclusive with Free Transfers

We went to Lobigili i April 2024. We have been to Maldives once before (Dusit Thani). Here is our review of Lobigili: Positives: + Short boatride (15-20min) from Velana Airport. + Excellent service from all personnel, always polite and doing their outmost to accomodate. We want to especially mention our hostess Rinki who gave us such an excellent service all the time during our stay. + We stayed at beach villa which is really a top notch living space. We liked that the minibar was replenished everyday :). I dont remember her name but I know she was from Bhutan and did an excellent job with cleaning our room for us. + Breakfast, lunch and Dinner at Ylang Ylang and underwater restaurant was excellent with good food variation. + Very nice SPA and GYM. Negatives: - Beaches is quite small in some places and the sand a bit hardpacked (Man made island). Noticed that a few Villas hardly had any beach left at all. The beach outside our villa (106) was Ok. - Each Villa had Sunchairs and parasols at the small pool but nothing on the beach. I would suggest that each Villa also in addition had a set of sunchairs and parasols on the beach too. - As Lobigili is close to main island and has more boat traffic in vicinity the house reef is not as good as in other places but quite alright anyway. - The pool and bar is quite nice but only has small snacks between 16:00 -18:00. It would be nice with a possibility for some lighter food choices during a day at the pool, such as chicken wings, hamburgers etc (if you dont want to go to Ylang Ylang for lunch or after lunch has closed at 15:00). I would suggest that you could use the foodtruck for that during the day.

We came just for a short stay before going on a live board … next time we stay longer ! Besides the basic fact that it is so easy to get to…. Starting from pickup at the airport that was so mega friendly and personal to the rest of the staff. Our personal concierge Rinki was like a magician ensuring we had everything we would like and did not even know we would like :). She rocks ! And then there is the executive chef Ajaya with his crew. As my wife is strictly vegan we have been through our experiences in resorts but not here. He personally took care for her needs and delivered..: mega wow. From supercool dinners to just right perfect done sorbet of berries extra for her… devine. Ah yes… the island. We had a villa with own pool a rather private access to the sea which was perfect to chill. And when we were ready we got to the sunset in the infinity pool overlooking the ocean while being served drinks. It can not be more magical. Thank you crew of Lobigili !

Just returned from 6 glorious nights at Oblu-select-lobigili. Loved our host, Mechelle and her attentiveness to us. Bar staff (Jai, Savita and others) are always smiling. My favorite part was the dosa station. Chef, Saikumar cooks delicious food. The villas are luxurious and well stocked. Overall a great experience!

This would have to be the best service, location and food I have every experience. So lucky I made the choice to stay here for my first Maldives trip. I couldn’t fault anything and being adults only made it that little bit extra special. The gym was also the best I’ve seen!

We spent 11 nights on the island. It t was one of our nicest vacations :) We enjoyed the very good service, extremely helpfully and friendly staff, delicious food. We also enjoyed a lot our water villa and the wonderful house reef where we went for snorkelling several times a day. It’s full of life! Also we enjoyed the underwater restaurant a lot! I would definitely recommend this hotel or a romantic / couple vacation. Thank you very much to all the personnel who we met, especially our host Maryam, also Mechele, Elin, Dechen, Kim and all others! Miss you already :)

Great destination. Great environment. Great people. Loved every bit of it from arrival to departure and we were provided with assistance at every moment. And we met some lovely people we look forward to seeing again. S/O to Elen, Chef Ajay Sahoo, Haydie and the lovely lovely Jun. You guys are awesome.

Asides from the amazing scenery, what really did this trip for me was the staff. They were so attentive and genuinely kind. Special shout out to Jun, Haydiee, Elin. As well as Chef Ajay Sahoo he really tried to accommodate our different tastebuds by tailoring some meals just for us. The rooms were very clean as well and comfortable. The whole resort was just serene!

It was a wonderful trip. I couldn't speak English, but I managed (lol). I'm grateful to my butler, Jun. I'd like to come again someday.

A perfect honeymoon trip All the facilities are clean, and the staff are really friendly. There are many programs in operation for the guests, and it is fun to have food and fun environments. For those who visit the honeymoon, there are various perks and it is a recommended resort if you consider the honeymoon. I met a host named mariyam and she gave us all the information we needed for the stay and did our best to make sure there was no inconvenience. Thank you again to her.
