## Room: The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the TV supported screen mirroring, which was great for watching movies. The facilities were new and worked perfectly. The only slight issue was the large bathtub; if you don't plan to use it, that large area feels a bit wasted. ## Service: The laundry service was very convenient; staff collected our clothes, washed them, and delivered them back. They were very accommodating with all requests, even helping to install a bed guard. When I had trouble with the TV's screen mirroring, a quick call to the front desk brought immediate assistance. ## Transportation: Getting anywhere was easy, and ordering food delivery was super convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. Just remember to book well in advance during holidays, or you might not get a room! ## Dining: The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, though the coffee wasn't great. They also provide a simple free lunch and a late-night supper. However, when the hotel is full, the lady making rice noodles and wontons for dinner gets overwhelmed, leading to long queues and her being quite flustered. ## Downsides: Aside from the not-so-great coffee at breakfast, I honestly can't think of any other negatives! For anyone looking for a hotel with convenient city center access, this place is truly perfect. (I recommend visiting Shanxun Tea & Coffee for tea, making bean pod dolls at Gezi Handmade in Daijia Lane, and dining at Shanmu Zhijian... I didn't take many photos of the hotel itself.)

Having seen many reviews about the poor hygiene, inadequate service, and lack of facilities at guesthouses in Jingmai Mountain, I had already lowered my expectations. However, the actual experience exceeded my expectations. They had all the disposable toiletries that hotels usually provide. The owners were incredibly kind, cooking free rice noodles for everyone every morning and inviting guests for tea. In the evenings, they would knock on the door and bring freshly grilled pork belly – it smelled amazing and was incredibly delicious! The guesthouse's location was also fantastic; you could see the sea of clouds right from the window, and it was very quiet at night. It was truly excellent value for money. The owners also sell tea, and I bought some to bring back as gifts for my family before leaving – the prices were very reasonable. Superb!

This is the first time we came to Pu’Er and we feel very lucky to have booked this accommodation. We As soon as we entered the property we were welcomed and invites to tea by our wonderful hosts. Even though we cannot speak much Chinese, our hosts showed imense patience and understanding. They offered us advice for travelling, shared different types of tea with us and we received a lot of smiles 😀 The room was beautiful with a lot of wooden elements, large balcony and the spacious bed had the perfect hardness to have a proper good night sleep. It was also very clean, no mosquitos and no bad smells 🙌🏼 The location is also great. It is a quiet and clean area, with a beautiful coffee place by the lake and restaurant near by. Also a small convenience store. We hope to come again here im the future. Thank you again to our lovely hosts 🙏🏼

1. Basic room type, no privacy, the window is on the adjacent balcony. It's unbearable to stay in the room unless you draw the curtains. To protect privacy, you have to accept the room having no window. 2. Hotel prices fluctuate wildly. We paid the price of a balcony room for a basic room, and were very unhappy. 3. Don't have high expectations for the hotel's complimentary lunch and dinner. We ate out ourselves, and the food was terrible—very little food, and the dishes weren't clean. 4. The hotel was very crowded. When we checked in, there was a meeting and a wedding banquet. The laundry room was full and unusable, and the parking lot was full; we circled around three times before we could find a parking spot.

The environment was very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful view whwre you can see some of the sea of clouds. They give you disposable coverings for you to put on top of the fresh pillow bedding and mattress for extra hygiene which is a nice touch I haven't seen before. Bathroom is very clean, though there are only two toilets and two showers and two sinks, so do note that for busy season, but it wasn't an issue at all during my stay. They provided breakfast too, fresh milk the boss heated for me when I got up, and red sugar glutinous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (babas), and it was fun to get ready for the day with new friends on the balcony overlooking the village. I think the environment is very good for meeting new friends and other solo travelers- I arrived at the hostel randomly at the same time as three other girls, and we explored Manghong togetjer on the boss's recommendations for itinerary and sightseeing. And the next day the boss dropped us off at a tea roasting experience, and just as we were heading to Nuogan another girl from the hostel finished her tea roasting session, so we all went to Nuogan togetjer to play. The boss even helped load my luggage onto the shuttle bus so that it could pick me up at a sightseeing spot further down the mountain!

The luckiest decision on my trip to Wengji Ancient Village in Jingmai Mountain was choosing Guesthouse No. 69. This guesthouse, run by Brother Ni, didn't rely on flashy advertising, but its thoughtful details made every guest feel a warmth that exceeded expectations, becoming the most precious memory of the entire trip. The guesthouse's location is prime, situated in the heart of the ancient village, surrounded by cafes and specialty restaurants. The popular Beigui Coffee Shop is diagonally opposite, so whether you're looking for a cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious meal in the evening, you don't have to go far. Even more surprisingly, the room had its own small balcony, comfortable and cozy, so I decided to extend my stay. The room facilities were new, spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the pillows were especially good. Combined with the tranquility of the ancient village at night, it ensured a good night's sleep. A smart toilet and user-friendly shower facilities were all provided, and toiletries and other daily necessities were exceptionally complete, dispelling all my concerns about accommodation in the ancient village, making my stay comfortable. The owner's enthusiasm and his wife's thoughtfulness were also the most touching aspects of this trip. They were like long-lost friends, sharing travel tips for the ancient village, inviting us to sample their homemade Pu'er tea, and chatting warmly and sincerely. The guesthouse breakfast was a delightful surprise: flavorful rice noodles with plenty of ingredients, sweet corn, eggs from local free-range chickens, and refreshing grapes 🍇😋😋😋. The guesthouse also offers ethnic costume rental services, with exclusive discounts for guests. Wearing Bulang ethnic clothing and taking photos on the ancient village's cobblestone streets and beside old banyan trees instantly immerses you in the local atmosphere. The owner even took a break from his busy schedule to show us the sunrise and sea of clouds; the tranquility and healing away from the hustle and bustle were unforgettable. There's no commercial alienation here, only the warmth and comfort of home. Next time I visit Jingmai Mountain, I'll definitely return to this ”warm little home” hidden in the ancient village.

It's very convenient to get around. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Beigui Cafe to watch the sunrise. The rooftop platform has a great view with a panoramic vista of the beautiful scenery. The owner makes rice noodles every day with broth that she has cooked the day before as the base, which is very delicious.

The service here is incredibly thoughtful. From the moment we checked in, Xiao Luo guided us with such warmth and enthusiasm. Any request was met with a swift response, and that feeling of being perfectly cared for immediately put us at ease. Being 'on call' wasn't just an empty promise. Whether we needed travel advice, a taxi, or had a minor issue, a quick phone call would promptly bring someone to help, eliminating any worries. That's exactly the kind of stress-free pace a vacation should have. The manor itself is nestled amidst lush green mountains. Opening the window reveals a panorama of verdant scenery, the air thick with the scent of negative oxygen ions. Surrounded by the chirping of insects and birds, you feel gently enveloped by nature, and all the fatigue from city life simply melts away. Big praise for the restaurant's food! The ingredients are fresh, many featuring local flavors. Though homely, the dishes are prepared with such care, making every meal satisfying and memorable. There's no need to worry about your stomach being neglected while on holiday. The most delightful surprise was the friendly animals. The red pandas are adorably irresistible, and various other cute creatures roam freely, unafraid of people. Being able to interact with them up close instantly awakened our inner child; both adults and kids couldn't tear themselves away.

Looking for a place to stay to experience the tea aroma and evening breeze of Pu'er. The guesthouse's location is convenient for unloading luggage later in the day, as you can drive right in. The auntie is very kind, and I felt a warm, homely atmosphere. Nestled within the Ancient Tea Horse City, this courtyard guesthouse boasts bluestone paths and lush plants, effectively shielding it from the bustling streets. The architectural style blends Southern Yunnan characteristics, with wooden windows, tea tables, and courtyard views complementing each other, integrating the ancient charm of the Tea Horse Road into everyday life. My favorite time was the evening, sitting on the terrace, brewing a pot of Pu'er, and gazing at the ancient city lights in the distance. The room was clean and elegant, the hot water in the bathroom was stable, and the overall comfort was excellent. The owner is knowledgeable about local customs and shared tea-tasting insights, helping us avoid tourist traps. During the day, I strolled through the ancient city, exploring stories of the caravan. At night, I watched the bonfire song and dance, then easily returned to the quiet courtyard. No need to rush the itinerary; slowing down here is the best way to experience Pu'er.

The hotel is brand new and very clean, even has a smart toilet (YYDS!). The most worthwhile thing is the absolutely stunning view. We saw a small sea of clouds in the morning and bright sunshine at noon. For this view and price, it blows away the entire village. However, it's located in Mangjing, not Wengji. If you're driving, there's a large parking lot in the courtyard, which is very convenient, so parking isn't a problem. Parking is very troublesome in Nuogan or Wengji. The scenery here is so beautiful that you could easily spend a few days relaxing at the hotel. It's about a 5-minute walk to the Princess Banyan Tree. We didn't visit any other attractions, but overall it was really great. I saw online that many of the guesthouses nearby were older and I was worried about hygiene, but thankfully this one was very clean. It's definitely worth the money and highly recommended. They were also very helpful in getting rid of the bugs that flew in at night.
