The hotel is very new. The rooms are very clean and bright. The staff's service is high-quality, considerate and first-rate. They meet my needs. The problem of water leaking from the bathroom faucet was immediately followed up and rectified. There are only a few rooms in the hotel and there are not many guests. It feels very peaceful. , swimming in the swimming pool is like a private pool, the swimming pool is slightly thin, the massage in the room feels comfortable, the price is not expensive, I will consider staying here again

The room is very good, with all kinds of facilities and beautiful scenery. Standing on the balcony, there are terraced fields and green mountains opposite. The vegetation coverage rate of the entire hotel is very high👍
Inspired by a traditional village Amandari is framed by jungle and rice terraces in Balis cultural heartland. Alang-alang-thatched houses some with pools - all with private tropical gardens - cosset guests under bamboo ceilings their suites elegantly decorated with teak and coconut-wood. The grounds are both sacred and essential to local families; children attend dance classes here and religious processions pass through regularly leading down the steps that spill below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger - a motif repeated throughout the property. Follow the road out of the village to hike or bike the emerald-green landscape or head further afield for artisan villages - hidden temples and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud.
Overlooking a tranquil lily pond the Spas offerings range from massages and manicures to traditional Balinese treatments.
Both Indonesian and Western dishes are specialities at the open-air Restaurant or dine intimately in the rainforest with a private chef.
Set amid aromatic frangipani trees and the enveloping warmth of a Balinese village Amandari is perfectly suited to special occasions of all kinds.

Every single stay of mine with the Aman hotels is wonderful and unforgettable. Amandari is no exception. I found an extraordinary sense of peace and tranquility as I sat by the hotel's pool, gazing out at the lush green trees in the distance. As always, the rooms at Aman were spacious yet cozy and elegantly refined. The staff, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire, attended to us so thoughtfully that it seemed I had nothing to worry about except savoring the serene, peaceful moments.

Oh my gosh I’ve found my absolute favourite budget friendly resort in Ubud! The staff are amazing, the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. The nature & resort grounds is sooo stunning & the resort has 5 pools to choose from!! Definitely the spot to go for peace & quiet. It’s tucked away from the busy streets of Ubud, yet close enough if you need to go town for anything.
I loved this resort so much I ended up extending a few more nights & will always return here when I’m in Ubud 🥰
COMO Uma Ubud is located in the center of Bali.
The hotel occupying a 3 hectare site is hidden on the fringe of Ubud overlooking the Tjampuhan Valley amid paddy fields carved out of hillsides backed by coconut palms and banyan trees. The river Oos runs below - one side stands a mountain. The town where there are numerous shops-galleries and local restaurants is a five-minute drive/20-minute walk.
The heart of the hotel - the lobby -25m pool and bar - is open clean and simply designed. This contrasts with the paths running between tall lushly-planted walls that lead to rooms.
All villas have walled tropical gardens. The bathrooms and principal living space is separated by an outdoor area. Carved panels open up rooms to incorporate views and the scent of forest while the volumes of light flows through interiors from the bedroom through to garden terraces - private courtyards and infinity-edge plunge pools.
The Terrace Rooms located throughout the resort are each 45sqm with garden terraces. The Garden Rooms positioned along the northern perimeter all 53sqm with a private courtyard. The Uma Pool Suites are 94sqm and have infinity-edge pools with views across the valley down to the snaking river. The Uma Suite is similar but without a pool. The COMO Suite located on the southern edge of the resort has the best pool as well as a private treatment area.
In-room facilities are decadent. The open-air bathrooms all include separate baths and shower. Facilities include flatscreen TVs with satellite channels - DVD players a personal safe - Yoga mats and minibars.
The restaurant is called Kemiri. The open air space seating 70 in addition to an intimate private dining room - stylish area beside a waterfall-fed pond - with light airy alang-alang ceilings. Kemiri serves breakfast - lunch and dinner. All Day Dining is also available

Como is definitely the most perfect hotel in Ubud that I have ever stayed in! The first time I stayed in Como was at the beach in Phuket. That was a very simple and stylish design. Como in Ubud has a completely different design and style. It is a niche boutique hotel that fits the style of Ubud. Whether it is from the design style, hotel facilities, or hotel service staff, it is definitely worth coming back!
The room I stayed in for the first time, I felt a little damp (it rained the day before, so the roof material was a little damp). I asked if I could change to a room without dampness. The service staff was a little embarrassed because 5/1 was basically full, but they immediately asked to help me check if there were other rooms. They quickly communicated internally and said that they could transfer a room to me first. Personally, I think that having a problem is not a problem, but not solving it immediately is a problem.
The service staff of this hotel is the best service team among the boutique high-end hotels I have stayed in. As long as I have been there once, I can basically call out their names when I meet them for the second time, even the service staff in the restaurant are the same. They not only remember which coffee I had in the restaurant yesterday, but also remember where I wanted to go and how I played yesterday! This is probably the service that only boutique hotels can have! The food in the breakfast and dinner restaurant is Italian, creative but combined with the concept of health, and the ingredients are super fresh!
I am a person who travels at will. I originally wanted to try different hotels in Ubud for 4 nights, so I only booked two nights on Ctrip at the beginning. When I chatted with them at the front desk, they asked me where to go next. I said I hadn’t made arrangements yet. The front desk immediately told me that there is a garden room vacant here. We will upgrade you for free. Can you continue to stay here? Knowing that I like spas, they helped me book a good spa next to it, and also provided a 1-hour free spa in the hotel. The staff of the spa will also take me to this unique spa while I am waiting for the technician (because there are mountains and forests below, and the scenery is spectacular).
A perfect Ubud holiday! I will definitely come back next time!
Alila Ubud is a tranquil hillside retreat that sits high up on the edge of the rich green Ayung River valley in Bali's central foothills. Blending contemporary design and traditional Balinese architecture, the secluded courtyards, spacious terraces and private gardens create an intimate feeling like none other. All Rooms offer stunning views of the lush tropical vegetation surrounding the valley.
Alila Ubud lies in the traditional Balinese hill Village of Payangan, on the banks of the mystical and magical Ayung River. Alila Ubud is just five kilometres from Bali's artistic centre of Ubud, a place where artists, writers and musicians from around the world find their inspiration. Here guests can visit several art galleries and museums, see dramatic and opulent temple festivals and dances, to take in the magic of the real Bali.

this is the second time we have stayed at Alila Ubud and sadly maybe our last time as we feel the service level has deteriorated since our last visit in 2023.
Don’t get me wrong, the staffs are very very friendly as the Balinese people are, but since the moment we checked in we felt the staffs are overwhelmed and overworked. So we did not feel the staffs were attentive
Upon check in we were given an upgrade from valley suite to forest terrace suite. But we actually prefer the valley suite, when we requested for the room change, we were told the room type we have booked is fully occupied. The hotel was almost at full occupancy and when we went to the reception the staffs looked very busy. When we checked out and was picked up by our driver, the staffs did not even help us with the luggage.
For the value of money, it’s great. For anyone looking for quiet stay/retreat with attentive services level, maybe avoid peak seasons

It’s not a bad hotel. To summarize I’ll write pros and cons-
Pros- service, quiet area, amazing staff, very helpful. Specially Dewi, Arira or similar best staff ever. This hotel people only come for the service but everything else is just below average.
It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. But this experience made me do so.
Cons- Wi-Fi doesn’t work! Even after asking the IT guy who said he’ll do something but actually didn’t do anything. As it had speed or 3mbps and kept on dropping.
- Buffet breakfast - very average, the staff tries hard to please you. But the food is very very average. I mean not even 1 proper bakery items. Balinese coffee just doesn’t cut it. I’ll give it a rating 3/10.
- Rooms are basic, pretty old, beds make squeaking noise, suites have nice view but everything looks old.
- There is no afternoon tea although there is a sign in the lobby that states there is.
- shuttle only runs twice a day 11am and 4pm. This hotel is about 8kms away from Ubud main shops. And the shops around the hotels aren’t many.
- Spa at hotel - OMG don’t even try it! I had booked and got this oldish lady “Ayu”. Who basically was just touching my body and not even putting any effort. I literally had to leave the massage after telling her about 10 times to put more pressure. And then she tried to charge me for the whole hour which I disputed and then she said ok I’ll charge you for 30mins. I asked her if she has another staff which I did see when I started the massage. And she says no we don’t have anyone. Worst massage ever!!!
- You must rent a bike to enjoy if you do decide to stay in this hotel.
- Food and beverages are expensive compared to shops around the place but the service is amazing. For example an Ice coffee is $5.50AUD which is what I get in Australia. And veggie Pizza is around $10.
Bring your wall plug converter if you are staying at this place. Villas were amazing as due to great staff I got to see inside them. Suites- are just standard bedrooms with balconies.
Rooms have jet pumps to wash ur bottom, has hair dryers, small empty bar fridge. House keeping staff are amazing. The shuttle to Ubud shops you must book them before hand.
There is a river that runs but you won’t be able to see it as the small trees that grew around it has blocked all the view. Pool is small but nice, there are towels and hot shower options.
- TV only has channels which aren’t in English and the network is so bad that you can’t even watch it. Very old TV’s in suites.
- you can rent small scooters for about 100k IDR from hotel.

This hotel is very nice, fifteen minutes away from the city center in a very quiet area (highly appreciated after going through the crowds in the center). I went with my husband, baby and my in law. Our rooms were connected by an interior door, which was very helpful for my family needs. The swimming pool is very unique, in a peaceful atmosphere. The people working at this hotel is extraordinary, all of them are great. The food is good, the rooms are clean, and we had an amazing balinese massage which I recommend other customers to try. My two years old baby was treated superb. Thank you!

LLuanna Cardoso deArriving at the hotel I immediately smelled the mould. The hotel is beautiful but smells. We were kindly received at the door, they picked up our luggage, and served us a welcome drink while we did the check in. I started to sneeze and my nose clogged so I explained I was allergic to dust and I would like a room with more sunlight and wind. When we entered the room the musty smell was unbearable. I immediately complained and they promptly found another room without carpets. I believe it was an upgrade. They also sent us an apology card with fruits and chocolates. Unfortunately, the new room was still smelly, not as smelly as the first one, but we accepted as we were super tired and didn’t want to wait any longer. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
Shower pressure was fantastic
Breakfast was great, they had options like avocado toast, salmon bagel, burritos, and a variety of international options
Bed was comfortable
Swimming pool Temperature was perfect and the bar very convenient with great drinks
Beach is clean and not crowded
Sunset is beautiful
The restaurants had a good environment and good food. A bit pricey, but overall worth it.
Cons:
Mould. This is actually the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel. The smell is in the room and the entrance mainly. The rest of the areas are okay. This hotel was built in 1993, so I have to say that if it wasn’t for that, the hotel would be in amazing condition.
Service by the pool was very slow, my husband tried to get a beer first thing when he arrived and only after calling the waiter twice they brought him the beer, but it was room temperature! 😞
Coconut water and beer were not cold, they actually offered ice, but it just made it watery and tasteless.
Bike rental can only be used inside the hotel, and they don’t tell you that when you rent it. I tried to go out to cycle in the surrounding area and they didn’t allow me to go. After complaining, the charged me half price for the rent. I only used inside the hotel and at the beach in front of the hotel.
Concierge service was very slow and inefficient. He didn’t have packages to offer, photos, or videos. Everything was searched on Google right in front of us. The only option given was a private driver that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The problem is that we didn’t know the places, so we were expecting a better introduction to the island and the activities. We ended up doing our own research and hiring the driver.
Transfer from hotel to airport costs 430,000 RP, but if you get a grab (similar to Uber/Didi) it will cost you less than 80,000 RP.
Overall, the hotel is a good option if you can tolerate the smell. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price.
YYoichiThe best hospitality and hotel design ever.
It’s the perfect to be relaxed at hotel although accesses to places to visit are not so nice, you do not need to go out from this hotel if you want to enjoy staying at hotel.
GGuest UserThis was one of the best places we stayed at in Bali.
It is well structured, designed and maintained. The food was good with many options. The location is perfect with very nice pools and pool slide. They also have Camels and can provide you with a riding experience on the beach.
GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at this hotel. Issues started at check in and continued throughout our stay . Our family booked 5 rooms at the Alam KUL KUL and we all had issues with facilities and getting any action taken to address them . To start we visited the hotel in mid November 2023 to enquire about late checkout when we stayed in February 2024. The hotel reception were very pleasant in November and guaranteed that late checkout was easy and it was a great rate of 550.000 . The reception staff said that they had added the late checkout to our booking. When we arrived in February everything was different. First the reception staff questioned that we had visited in November and that we did not have late checkout added to our booking. They insisted that we name the hotel staff who we had spoken with in November. After much discussion we had the late checkout added but staff were less than friendly. Then they insisted we pay the extra money straight away. We said no problem but then my wife’s wise card wouldn’t work in their payment machine and staff kept insisting that the wrong pin was being entered. My wife had been using the card for the last 7 days in Bali with no issues. So I then gave them my wise card and was surprised when it wouldn’t work in their machine either. I also had been using my card daily in Bali with no issues. After much further discussion with hotel reception they said that we could pay at check out. We had already pre paid for all 5 rooms prior to this. On the day of checkout I received a request to contact reception as they had no records of us asking for late checkout. During several WhatsApp messages from reception they said that we had refused to pay for the late checkout and that we had stated that we would get it free. I was absolutely disappointed to receive these messages and we had never stated anything about free late checkout. The reception staff continued sending messages that were completely false statements. In reflection I think that the staff were trying to cover up the poor service lack of professionalism that they lacked. This were only a few of the small issues that arose during our stay . Our daughter and family had a mouse running around their room and it took staff 3 days to come and look at the room. There was never any offer to change rooms. Another family group had their air conditioning not working and it took 3 days for the hotel to address that issue . My wife ordered drinks during happy hour at the garden pool and when the bill came they wanted to charge full price and their staff stated that my wife had ordered room service! She was locked out of our room at the time because the electronic key kept failing.
On 3 separate occasions I asked to speak with the hotel manager to see if we could get better communication and service. Unfortunately the manager was always unavailable, so can only assume that is where the problem starts . Too important or don’t care about hotel guests.
Most of the hotels staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially the restaurant staff.
The Alam is a very old property in a very good location. The rooms have been renovated and beds are comfortable. After visiting Bali about 16 times and staying in many different hotels and villas this was our most disappointing stay in Bali. It’s a shame that the small issues kept coming and that the hotel were either trying to cover up or complacent about.
NNrynI recently stayed at the Ramayana Hotel with a friend, and we had a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and trustworthy staff who made us feel welcome.
Our room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. One small detail that stood out was the delightful scent of the soap provided—such a nice touch!
The amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed making use of them during our stay. Overall, we had a lot of fun and felt right at home. I highly recommend Ramayana Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserExcellent room. Really big with nice sitting area, balcony, good working desk. Also loved the bathroom.
Had some problems getting the safe to work but eventually were fixed.
There is not much micro economy outside and just one restaurant. I did manage to get Grab from the hotel.
The hotel runs a great shuttle to Semarapura and Goa Lawah, it's free but you tip the driver and guide and pay for entry to the various sites.
The spa area is nice but the treatment I had was not very good.
FFfern_elfRoom is nice and modern. Breakfast box is provided when requested for early Nusa Penida one-day trip. We found so many ants in the room, e.g., wall, working table, closet. Staff use insect repellent spray and it's kinda work. The security team is quite impressive, they help us get in the car and leading to our corrected elevator.
AAnonymous UserStaying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.
GGuest UserThanks a lot for the service. The boss is really nice and helped us voluntarily in many ways. This is a homestay not a hotel actually, but the safety and convenience is out of expectations. Besides, you couldn't find a hotel in the center of ubud. So considering this price, I would say thank God we are here.
