Medplaya Hotel Bali

This hotel in other reviews is underrated. All the staff and very polite and welcoming, friendly and also helpful. Definitely a hotel where the Spanish go for their holiday/breaks. The rooms were clean and well maintained, beds slightly uncomfortable. We went all inclusive and the lunch and dinner options were fantastic, plenty of options and if you couldn’t find something you didn’t like you are a fussy eater, breakfast is definitely better with the continental option. When you want a drink at the bars you hand in your AI card you receive your drink, when finished you have the option of more drinks on returning your glass if inside or plastic cup if outside, if not ask for your card back, and you go again later. Well done to all the hotel staff 👍🏻👍🏻

We had an excellent 4 night stay at the Bali. Lovely clean hotel. Room was spacious and the beds comfortable. They supplied Dove hair shampoo, body wash, hand soap and a hair dryer. Food was very good, with plenty of choice. I only gave 4 stars as the downside was where our room was. If you have a mobility problem, ask for Block 1 or 2, Block 3 was a long walk even before you got to the lift. Also, the hotel is situated on quite a sleep hill.

We have been going to this hotel for approx 10yrs twice a year. Its all been refunished top quality. Love staying here the staff are so friendly what a welcome when they see us. They come fr behind desk to front with a warm greeting hug and handshake. All.staff go over board to help with any thing we have become family to most of them all given hugs from manager cleaners waiters cheifs bar staff as well always remembering our name's and thats a welcome in itself .way to many to name but always such a warm welcome. Virginia has been the perfect hotel assistant to us, massive asset to hotel Stewart the same. You will.not go wrong trying the hotel out shows every night.something for everyone's entertainment. Food is good plentiful. Fantastic hosbertaloty. So central.for marina Market town buses etc taxi good prices as well. So why not have a look on they site there is plenty photos different types of rooms to choose. 4 pools with bar snack by pool.s 2 large pools children's and a toddler one life guards on stand from open to closing times. So go on have a look book and enjoy your stay at the Barli Hotel Benalmadena. Lis connors

Just returned from our stay at the Bali hotel. It was lovely to see the hotels refit. We were greeted back by all the staff with a very warm and friendly welcome. They all work so hard to make everyone's holiday such a pleasant and enjoyable one. The restaurant now has an outside area which is really nice. The only downside is they no longer have the themed nights in the restaurant. Also the hotel no longer provide all inclusive clients with bottled water they have to get it from the dispenser in the snack bar. Sadly during our stay the hot drinks machines in the snack bar were out of order. The bar staff reported this to management but it was still out of order when we left after our 14day stay. This meant we had to ask at the bar for hot drinks which they happily provided but as all inclusive guests we should have been able to get them ourselves leaving the very hard working bar staff more time to cater for the other guests. We will definitely be returning to the Bali hopefully very soon.

Stayed here for a week at Easter, nice hotel situated half way up cardiac hill. Rooms basic but very clean. There are no lights on the balcony, no lights around the pool at night which made the place very dark. One pool didn’t open until 11 and it closed at 3 and the other pool opened a little earlier but closed early too, not great when you have kids. I found they didn’t really cater for people that weren’t full board, the cafe by the main pool only opened Thursday to Sunday so the only option to get something to eat was in the main bar and it was mainly just pizzas. Air condition in the room only blew out hot air no matter what setting you tried it on. Some members of staff were very rude in the main bar. Breakfast was buffet style and always cold . I would not recommend this hotel for Easter break with kids and I wouldn’t stay here again.

I have recently arrived back from a lovely holiday at Hotel Bali, I came here with my young children for a week in the Easter break. We signed for full board which is breakfast, lunch and dinner. First time coming to Costa Del Sol and I wasn't disappointed, The weather was really cold and rainy the first few days of our trip and then luckily it warmed up into the 20s. The hotel is situated on a steep hill which is quite a challenge to walk up with a pushchair or if you are not a spring chicken anymore. There are a number of little shops and cafes down the hill with also the beach on the other side of the road. We arrived late so we missed out on the evening meal, we had to venture into the bar to get a packet of crisps. Even thou I thought it would be out of season the entertainment was great, especially for the children. There were a number of activities and games all day with a kids disco in the evenings, the team were so friendly and always happy to see the kids. There were also entertainment on every evening bingo, live music, dancing etc all were amazing. The restaurant was a good size as it can get very busy, there was a small outside area where you can eat as well which was really nice and cosy. The restaurant staff were so lovely, always keeping the tables and floors spotless, they defiantly worked hard. There were a few who were always happy to see you which goes a long way. The only negative comment was I didn't feel there was many food choices for myself or my children. There was 2 big pools and a kids splash pool also a round small pool, all were absolutely freezing but that's what you expect in a Spanish resort. There was only one lifeguard looking at the big pool but I feel there should of been one for every pool. The pools were a great size and the kids pool had loads of small slides and splash zones. The pool area was tidy and plenty of sunbeds, there was also a little park next to the pool, which wasn't really toddler friendly. The outside area also complimented a café and an outdoor entertainment area which I assume is open in the summer months. Our first impressions of our hotel room was very small and not enough space to hang clothes or any drawers. Our room was on the 7th floor which is great for looking over the balcony but it was so high that I didn't like the children going anywhere near it. We also didn't have a light on our balcony. The room was clean and felt very updated, my bed was rather hard but I managed to sleep, we also had a small mini fridge. Even thou the room was small, it was very nice. There are only two small lifts in the main area which can take a long time to get to you as it can get so busy. We had a lovely stay and I am already looking at going back as soon as possible.

Hotel was beautifully clean. Room was great, the main thing that will stop us going back is the hill to the hotel, and the rudeness of some of the staff on the bar. Carmen should not work with people, she is the rudest person I have ever met. Unfortunately if you're all inclusive some of the staff seem to think it's free, it isn't - it's PRE-PAID! We were treated like second class, the write up on the hotel when we booked said "a selection of local beers and ales", there was ONE horrible lager! tea and coffee was in self serve paper cups not proper cups & saucers like everyone else! we will not be going back.

Hotel Bali, part of the Medplaya group, was a reasonably priced hotel and my wife and I stayed for 2 weeks mid March 2024. There are 7 floors some of which have a sea view; we were lucky enough to be allocated a sea view. Location is good, on a short hill incline approx. 10/15 minute walk from the marina. The room was a twin room with balcony, flat screen t.v. and was cleaned daily by the maids. There were however only 2 lifts for the main building and it was very busy at peak times, new arrivals , meal times etc. Breakfast was buffet style and ran like clockwork, staff in the restaurant were very efficient and friendly. Evening meal at times repetitive but always found something to eat. Food was always replenished quickly. All in all was a reasonably priced hotel with good memories and I would recommend it

Food of a poor standard, catering mainly for children. Stayed 7 nights only ate in hotel 3 evenings,our last night the high light of the food was burgers. Pasta and pizza every night and fish. Hotel in itself not too bad but food wise poor. If you’re looking to come to Benalmadena choose another hotel. Normally I don’t do any kind of review either good or bad but this hotel particularly poor
