The hostel is very dirty. All the surfaces are sticky. There is a terrible stench in the rooms, toilets, corridors and lobby. Things forgotten by the previous tenants are lying around until they are thrown away by the current tenants. Mattresses are stained with brown stains, possibly menstrual blood (I was in the women's room). The pillows are crumpled and terribly uncomfortable. The beds stand so you can't fully open the window to air it out. The lobby is very noisy and smelly too, apparently there is no ventilation or it is blocked. Absolutely not recommended, even for 25€ a night! It's too much for this place.

This hotel lived up to my expectations. It was well located, spotless, the breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere healthy and positive. I must thank the Young lady on reception, the morning of my departure, Sunday morning, 21st May, who went to great lengths to help me get the right bus to the airport, and then the correct platform for the last bit of the journey. Her instructions were faultless. The bar, late night, was busy and the service, fast and friendly.

The first stop of Germany trip, Berlin With a limited budget, my sisters and I chose to stay in a youth hostel. However, this youth hostel is not a traditional one because the environment here is still very good. Except for the shared bathroom and toilet, the rooms are not much different from ordinary hotels. , the price is also relatively cheap The location is close to the bus station, subway, etc., very convenient. If you want to move in, you can only wait until 15:00, not earlier. So there will be a lot of people waiting in the lobby, but there are people sitting here at any time. There is a coffee shop next to it and a bar below. The room environment is good, but the sound insulation effect is not very good. Our room is in the corner and the room shape is a bit strange. But the only weird thing is that there is a floor suction pump. The location is so unreasonable. If you don't pay attention, you will get tripped. You have to be extra careful every time. Only then The water in the bathroom is pretty good and flushes very well. After staying for two days, there were no queues to go to the toilet or take a shower. Overall, it is very good and cost-effective. You can print for free at the front desk, which is great!

Although the room are nice (good coffee and nicely furnished), the overall experience is rather poor. The staff (1 person only during day and the night shift) is far too inexperienced and likely all below the age of 20. We had the change room twice due to leakage in the air conditioning system. Making sure the wooden floor did not damage from the water, towels were used, but it was clear the staff didn’t bother and made a fuzz about giving us a new room. Also when you call the staff from your room with the room telephone, they do not pick up. When you call them with your cell phone, they pick up. Why? Further, we selected the hotel partially because of the good looking gym. Surprise, you pay for the gym, each time you use it: €15 per person. The Spa is not open, due to the fact that the hotel recently opened (?). It is clear that the hotel is significantly understaffed and that the service level is poor. Cost cutting is understandable post covid, but we got the feeling that the expenses applied for building this place were high, and that cost cutting may make this place profitable long time in the future. Location is good; close to well functioning public transport. Breakfast was fine, no worries there.

The staff were very nice and kind, the location is really good since it's so close to the attractions, the price is alright, the rooms we're unfortunately dusty, dirty, few spider webs here and there and they especially looked sad and depressing. The breakfast was good, but the choice was very little unfortunately. It's an OK place for a short visit of Berlin

I went to this hotel for a mid-week vacation with my lovely daughter. With an UBER it was about 10 Euro to get to the hotel. Check-in was smooth, the older man behind the desk wasnt overly friendly but rather efficient and that was fine. We paid the tourist-tax and got one room-key for our room. We paid online about 80 Euro a night and we got a room with three beds at the back. The room was clean and simple. A desk with a big-screen TV, a shower-room with a toilet and a wash-basin. The shower was ok but we didnt like the shower-curtains. Also the water would be warm for about five minutes but it didnt bother us. Everyday cleaning with new linen and towels. In the morning you can have breakfast but you have to pay for it. We didnt use it. The hotel is set conveniently in the middle of Berlin near Kurfurstenstrasse and Dam. Near the U-Bahn and busses.

Although the location and price for this hotel is great, the rooms themselves were disappointing. When entering the room for our first night I was immediately concerned about the room, with some wall fittings falling off, what seemed to be a lack of smoke alarm, one small bedside lamp and a tv relatively small and far from the bed along with only one alternative chair. Despite these shortcomings the room is quite spacious and beds relatively fine, with somewhat good soundproofing on the windows to stop the noise of the busy streets. Although these negatives would have been outweighed by the positives, we also had no room cleaning our entire 6 night stay which was highly disappointing. We would be awakened by the cleaners relatively early in the morning however usually we slept through this first attempt to clean. Most hotels would assume someone is asleep and come back and clean after they have gone about their day however this did not occur for our entire trip duration. To make matters worse we had no toilet roll replacements and had to source our own. In addition, on our 5th night they did Infact enter our room, they did Not take our overflowing bin, towels from the specified pick up area, change our sheets or make our beds or clean any portion of the room as expected of them. All they did was give us toilet roll. Very disappointing considering the ideal location for the hotel and the price.(although much cheaper than anywhere else in the area so some disappointment to be expected)

By the time this incident happened, I have already completed a 4 days stay in the hotel and was willing to increase my stay. For that purpose, I went to Mrs. Hausweld and asked to please consult the availability and the price of the rooms for extra nights. In response, I was told that the final price, including the city tax for 3 additional nights would be 350 euros with breakfast included. Consequently, I was willing to go along with that reservation and requested to pay by card. Afterward, then Mrs. Hausweld offered me the POS terminal to go along with the payment, and the amount ascended to 419 euros. Due to that unexpected difference, I kindly asked for an explanation and was told that 419 euros were the final price, and if I was not happy with it I would need to leave the hotel immediately. As a result, I kindly refused to pay that amount and asked her to please consult the price for two nights instead of three. In response to that, the front desk manager told me that no more rooms were available for me and that I needed to check out now and leave the hotel. Following that conversation, I went on Booking.com and reserved a room for the same days, without breakfast, and surprisingly rooms were still available. Next, I went to the front desk and asked to please pay for my booking Mrs. Hausweld looked at me in an unfriendly manner and told me she could not find any reservation. After 5 minutes of searching, she could finally open my booking. Then, although I already provided a credit card in my booking, she asked me to show it to her because she was not believing that it was not mine. I answered that the card was in effect mine and offered her to have a look, but it did not have any numbers on it. So she got ahead to request me to write down my credit card details, including the CVV code, on a piece of paper as ”a security”. Afterward, I was asked again by her if I would like breakfast or not, despite I selected the no breakfast option on booking.com. A moment later I was offered the POS terminal to pay by card, which stated an amount 30 euros higher that the price I booked the room for on this site. Due to the reoccurrence of the same, previous situation again, I refused to pay and respectfully asked her why the price was higher again. Mrs. Hauweld answered in a very disrespectful manner that I asked her to have breakfast included and that I was confusing her again. After that situation, I kindly asked them to speak with her supervisor. She answered, that she had no supervisor and was the only person working in the hotel for the whole weekend. That experience left me in complete disbelief of her professionality and her being in that important role in the hotel. However, despite that bad experience with that particular staff member, I would like to note that the other front desk managers were very friendly and helpful at all times.

AAMAR ANWARLocation Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside. Room Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom. Bedroom Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed. Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough. The room is large and clean. The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice. The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big. Bathroom Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker Kitchen So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful. Laundry The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building. Breakfast The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask. Gym and Sauna Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room. Service. We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told. But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

GGuest UserGreat customer service with individual standouts. The gentleman who at least tried to fix our faulty A/C; the Genovese guy who bothered to make me coffee at 4AM for my USA based Zoom meeting; generally friendly staff. Studio apartment concept very positive. Money would have been over-priced, however, if not for my having paid with some rewards points. Priced way too high otherwise for the decor and general condition of the place. It isn't the Ritz Carlton, or even Marriott, the latter of which was actually cheaper. Most egregiously: The A/C's did not function properly, and sometimes didnt function AT ALL. And it was 30 degrees out, for the two days we were there. Murderously hot in the rooms we rented, with no let up. This is tell-tale sign of hotels owned by indifferent and complacent organizations that think people shouldnt or won't complain about bad A/C's, and thus will never have the integrity or professionalism to repair or replace same. It is a cheap BS attitude, and, at least in our case, has eliminated the possibility of appx 35 people in our sphere ever going to this place again, great customer service notwithstanding. I received a response apologizing for this, and committing to ”share the criticism”, whatever that meant. To be clear: That does absolutely NOTHING for me, and doesn't answer the fundamental question: when are these A/C's being replaced? The answer to that question dictates when, if ever, this hotel will ever get the many thousands of euros I, and my family and friends, would otherwise be spending there.

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the pool was closed and the sauna was required to login and the sauna area was able to use just 1 hour. The opening hours of the sauna from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekends are absolutely unacceptable for such a luxury hotel. We were very angry about it. When booking we have not received any information about the time in the spa is so regulated and it is completely closed in the pool area. At the reception, we received information that the pool was closed due to energy saving measures and also lacked staff. We believe that then the overnight prices must be adjusted accordingly if a significant part of the services cannot be provided. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our stay as we intended!

GGuest UserAs a musician I loved the interior, the architecture, the pictures and gallery. Little niche beside the bed to plug in your mobile phone/ tablet or what soever - very comfortable. Lots of very nice details everywhere. This hotel fits perfectly in Berlin.

GGuest UserWe stayed at 2 hotels during our recent holiday to Berlin, both 4 star, both junior suites and both similar prices - this one was head and shoulders above the other in every possible aspect! I can honestly say if we visit Berlin again we will definitely come back here as it had everything. We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite on the 7th floor with a balcony with city view (room 744) and it was spacious, very clean, modern and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend getting a balcony room, it really added to the experience sitting outside in the warm evenings watching night fall on Berlin. The Eco scheme the hotel runs where you can get tokens for a free drink at the hotel bar when opting not to have towels/bedding changed was a great idea and we found the bar had a nice feel to it. The breakfast was AMAZING, such a large and fantastic choice of food and drink. Our 10 year old was completely obsessed with the pancake machine and he couldn't believe his luck when staff came round the tables every morning with trays of mini brownies (and iced coffee). The breakfast staff were also great, particularly the guy with the aforementioned tray who was always smiling. Actually all the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful - it honestly makes such a difference. The location is also perfect, safe and so central to many attractions with plenty of cafes and restaurants in walking distance, along with a chemist and supermarket. The U-bahn station is a minute's walk away and is on the U2 and U6 line which made it easy to get everywhere we wanted to visit without having to change tubes.

GGuest UserThe location of Hilton Berlin is fantastic and the exterior of the hotel plus the lobby is very beautiful. Very walkable location with many surrounding dining and sightseeing options. Overall, housekeeping was good. The rooms run fairly small and look dated, so value for money is not that great. Bathroom is clean but not very well-maintained, especially the toilet. The check-in concierge staff were ok but I would expect friendlier and more proactive service for the price we were paying and being a diamond member as well. The staff who was a blonde lady with glasses checked me in and out and was the friendliest staff i encountered during my stay. Rarely did the other staff smile or greet us when we walked past them and they generally did not have great customer service skills, and generally just unfriendly. The front door concierge and door staff were much friendlier and greeted us more than the check-in staff. I also had a very terrible experience with the night security staff when my friend and I came back to the hotel around 6 am after a night out. We walked in and were stopped by a man who was not wearing any uniform, or any attire to signal he was working at the Hilton, and in regular clothes, he was a bit hard to understand because he had a thick accent, and I thought he might be another patron at the hotel or a taxi driver, so I politely smiled at him and said “no thank you” and walked towards the elevator. He got extremely angry, began shouting at me, and said he was a worker there and showed me his keys with a Hilton keychain. He wanted to verify that we had a room key. While we were taking out the key, he was calling me rude and dismissive and that I was a terrible person. It was so jarring because there was no need to be that rude, he was acting like I shooed him away when I’m reality it was a miscommunication. He then went into the back of the concierge to complain about me loudly, didn’t even wait till I was out of earshot. It was hard to identify him as a staff, much less security, and I didn’t need to be scolded like a child. Overall, very unprofessional and made the remainder of my stay feel much more sour. I can look past the dated rooms because I know that is out of the staff’s control at that point of time. But unprofessional and unfriendly staff make the value of my stay and diamond member status much worse.

SSherpa42652655027This is a gorgeous spanking brand-new hotel in Berlin. Reception is exceptionally courteous, friendly and accommodating - I couldn't have asked for a better team of associates. The bar staff, breakfast room staff, concierge, and even the maintenance staff are as wonderful. I had a lovely large room with the most comfortable bed & pillows - all in modern, tasteful decor. The room also had amenities such as a mini-fridge, coffee service, waters, robe, and iron and work desk area with accessible power points on top (no bending under the desk here!) Upon arrival & departure I was greeted warmly . This sets the tone for a positive experience and I certainly felt the genuine welcome with pleasant smiles and friendly nature. The hotel is quite accessible to 2 U-Bahn stations, and within walking distance of the Berlin Zoo. Getting around Berlin is fairly easy with a well-integrated underground system of U-Bahn & S-Bahn trains. The hotel is on a quiet road across the Los Angeles Platz small park/square. Everything Berlin has to offer is easily accessible, plus plenty of shopping, dining and outdoor activities within a small perimeter. Vielen Dank für Ihre freundliche Gastfreundschaft!

GGuest UserThis is great if you stay in Berlin for a few days. It’s good that public transport is right outside the hostel. It’s a bit far from the main city so you will have to get a few public transport to get there. The beds are squeaky but comfortable enough. The television is in German which is expected. There is no rooms with a shower or toilet in them, so you will have to walk to the shower and toilet. It is a shared bathroom. You will need to give separate deposit if you need towels and utensils and to wash and dry your clothes. The deposit can only be made in cash. There are no bins in the room but the rooms do have a fridge and a locker and a table and chairs. The hostel is great for sleeping and then leaving the next day to do activities.
