La Posada Pintada

Lovely place with a great view of the Bluff the town is named for. A little hard to find, but worth the effort.

This property was located in a desolate area where my husband wouldn't stay because of the remote area. There We decided not to stay there because of the above reasons and were charged for the night. Very disappointed with this encounter

As we travel between our California home and our Colorado home, we try to stay at fun little places. So far that's usually been Kayenta, Tuba City, Moab, etc. This time we found La Posada Pintada and decided to give it a try based on reviews and comments. Glad we did. It's a fun little place, off the beaten path, very quiet with great scenery. Don't expect all the comforts and ambiance of a chain hotel here - the floors are concrete, the walls are a foot thick adobe, there's no elevator to the 2nd floor - things like that. However, it's clean, there's a coffee machine, the shower is great and the bed is comfy - what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, and there's a free breakfast and the cook will come out and chat with you, or the owner. Nice touches. Appears to be an eclectic group of travelers here from our breakfast conversation - retired travelers, hikers for the local bluffs, artists and photographers, writers and more. If our travels again bring us this way, La Posada Pintada will definitely give us another nights rest.

Beautiful rooms in Southwest style. Patio with view of cliffs. Welcoming reception. Lovely breakfast patio with home cooking.

The owner run property was an extension of the monument valley vibe. Room was large ,comfortable, rustic and quiet. Breakfast freshly made and served by the owner Jennifer. We just needed one night here for a road trip around the 4 corners and was very pleased, slept well, ate well! We would come back!

Second time staying here. So different from big chain hotels. This is a boutique hotel, everything is cured in the small details. Rooms are very unique. Bathroom clean and very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace is phenomenal. Overall a fantastic place. We will be back! And if you are in the area, make sure you stop at the Bluff Fort!

I stayed here overnight after working in the field all day and was given the cabin (located a short distance from the main property). This was a great delight! I enjoyed the comfort and nostalgia of the cabin greatly. The highlight was the magnificent starry sky! Being located in a quiet and small area, I saw more stars here than anywhere else I've traveled. I'd like to return to this cabin and stay longer than one night!

What a wonderful find! So peaceful. The setting is beautiful. Room with a view!!! Wonderful homemade breakfast. Such a pleasant place...

Loved the property. very quiet. The plants and roses were somewhat neglected. Big rooms. Not sure about security as the combination on the door was same as room number...The food could have been a little more generous, especially the fruit. Breakfast was more like a ladies tea, not enough for a gentleman.
