My family and I came to Zhuhai for the National Day holiday. We chose Angsana Hengqin over Huafa Marriott because we had a great experience at Angsana Phoenix Bay before.

The hotel is located next to a Chinese Medicine Cultural Park, which is a bit remote. There are only a few shops nearby, just a Lawson convenience store and a few ramen restaurants. The Lawson store only opens at noon, so there aren't many commercial amenities around. The hotel offers shuttle buses to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and an equestrian club. We didn't plan to go to Chimelong this time, and we drove, so we didn't use the shuttle. However, for those going to Chimelong, it's quite convenient.

The hotel's guest rooms are separate from the main lobby building, making the entire hotel feel like a residential complex. Guest rooms are distributed in different buildings, and there's an electric cart service for transfers, though it's not far to walk from the lobby to the rooms. There's a large underground parking lot, and cars can drive directly to the building where you're staying, which is very convenient. However, many charging stations were out of service, and the ones that were working were occupied by other guests when we returned at night, making charging quite inconvenient.

The hotel has a large lawn and two canopies with picnic tables and chairs underneath. We had planned to sit under the canopy the next morning to enjoy the breeze, but both canopies were folded up. I wonder if they're only set up in the afternoon. The hotel also organized many activities, but not many seemed suitable for our family, so we didn't try any. The gym equipment is well-equipped. The 6th floor, which was advertised as a go-kart track, was actually just a small enclosed track on the rooftop for pedal tricycles, along with a children's play area suitable for younger kids.

The guest rooms are quite spacious, especially the balcony, which is wide and has a lounge chair, making it very comfortable to sit on. The shower area has good wet/dry separation, there's a large bathtub, and the bedding is excellent, providing a comfortable sleep. However, when we asked for an extra quilt at night, we were told there weren't any, only thin blankets. We asked the front desk to send two blankets, but only one was delivered. On the other hand, when we called the front desk to send children's toiletries and help with our food delivery order, they were delivered very quickly. The hotel also has Angsana Spa. I watched the introduction video, which showed massage pools and saunas, but we came back too late to experience it. The hot air balloon decoration, which I was most looking forward to seeing before checking in, only had the basket left when we arrived; the balloon part was missing. It felt like the hotel's most distinctive photo spot was gone. Overall, Angsana Hengqin is a hotel with decent value for money, but for a family trip with young children, I personally would still recommend Angsana Phoenix Bay.

Had a wonderful two-night, three-day stay at the hotel.

First, I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade, and our butler, Sini, was very thoughtful, providing ample warm reminders and responding super quickly. Other staff members we encountered also responded and resolved issues very promptly. The overall feeling the hotel gave was attentive and professional.

The hotel isn't new, but it's well-maintained and nicely laid out. I heard it was fully booked one of the nights, but aside from the buffet breakfast being a bit crowded, it never felt overly busy. The hotel has a great resort vibe. It's a shame that with kids, there were many beautiful spots where we couldn't take good photos.

Buffet Breakfast: Rich and fresh. Freshly squeezed juices, Cantonese-style freshly made rice noodle rolls, Cantonese congee, chicken feet, Southeast Asian curry rice noodles, etc. You can even mix your own fresh fruit juices.

Buffet Dinner: Included in the Trip.com package. The drinks selection was extensive, with several beers, white and red wines, and even the option to mix your own cocktails. There were several types of shrimp and crab, not just one, plus grilled mini lobsters, oysters, scallops, abalone, and lamb racks. Everything I wanted was there, very satisfying.

A commendable point is how quickly food was replenished; we rarely had to wait.

The beach is clean and exclusive to the hotel, so it's not crowded. Besides the main pool, there's also a swim-up lane connected to the rooms, which was a joy for kids who love water. Over the three days, we switched between the beach and pool constantly, and my child didn't want to leave. If we come for a family holiday again, we'll definitely return here.

Environment: The hotel's restaurants are all on the west side, so the rooms on the west side are terrible. There's a strong smell of cooking oil in the rooms and a heavy odor in the hallway. It smells like steaming in the morning and stir-frying/grilling at other times, which is really bad.
Noise: The hotel rooms are all next to the環山(Huanshan) highway, so it's very noisy.
Surroundings: It's next to Cat Beach, which is lovely, and it's very convenient to get to the Butterfly Garden and Spice Garden. However, the shuttle bus to the city and Dingyi Beach only has 15 spots per day.

This hotel is our top choice for family vacations with kids; I highly recommend booking a room in the Imperial Tower! The Imperial Tower's elevator goes directly to the hot springs and swimming pool, so you don't have to walk far. It's super convenient for kids to enjoy the hot springs and swimming, saving you the hassle of walking back and forth, and it's very kid-friendly.

The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden setting, which is quiet and comfortable, and the room hygiene is well-maintained. The location is excellent; it's right next to an outlet mall, so you can easily go shopping in your free time. Transportation is also convenient, making it perfect for a short trip from Xi'an.

The buffet dinner tastes good and offers a wide variety, so both adults and children can find something they love. The only downside is that the menu updates are infrequent; if you stay multiple times, the dishes feel similar, lacking a sense of novelty.

Overall, it's very suitable for short family getaways around Xi'an. With hot springs, swimming, and outlet shopping all in one place, it's an effortless way to entertain the kids.
