Absolutely fabulous! Had the best experience at Xiamen Wutong Fliport. We visited for a wedding anniversary and got a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room, which was such a nice surprise and a great start of the anniversary holiday. The hotel is modern, clean and has great swimming pool and gym. For the first time in a Chinese hotel, water in the pool was actually heated to 29 degrees. Location is fantastic too, there’s a stretch of private beach perfect for kids to play in the sand and splash a bit. Really good buffet available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s a ferry service and outlets mall just next door. Helpful and friendly staff too!

I'm reviewing this after getting back from overseas. If you need a hotel near the airport, this is absolutely the best choice. For an early flight requiring me to be there by 6 AM, the hotel informed me there's a shuttle bus at 5:50 AM. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious. I've stayed in many airport hotels worldwide, and this one is definitely among the top. I forgot to take photos, so I'll just end this review with a picture of me wearing the hotel slippers on the plane. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have another early flight. Wishing them continued success!

The room was neat and clean with no weird smells, and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The hotel decor is lovely, and the ”Yundang Fishing Fire” design concept is really nice. The receptionist was polite and welcoming, check-in was instant with no wait, and she even reminded me that I needed to tap my room card for the elevator. The location is very convenient too—just a turn around the corner to the subway station, with plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, great value for money, and I'll definitely be back!

I came here specifically to spot and photograph planes at Gaoqi Airport, and choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision! The room is right by the airport—just open the curtains and you can watch planes take off and land. Plus, it's super close to popular plane-spotting spots within walking distance. You can easily shoot at trendy photo locations with an amazing success rate for great shots. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. Fuel up and right back to shooting—this plane-spotting trip was totally worth it!

My kids absolutely loved it here! The hotel is very thoughtful, and the service is excellent. They even gave the little ones a small gift, along with kid-friendly amenities and a protective barrier. When we came back to the room after dinner, they brought us Tremella soup and fruit. The kids had a great time at the pool, and the beach was beautiful too. All in all, we'll definitely be back!

The room was super clean, and the kids absolutely loved it!

We booked a sea view king room, and the lovely staff at the front desk quietly upgraded us to a sea view king suite! It was incredibly spacious with an unbeatable view! Most importantly, the kids were thrilled!! They kept asking to extend our stay in the same room! I went downstairs and found a lady (forgive me for forgetting her name, she was from Xihai and wearing a black uniform) and told her our request, and she actually agreed! What an amazing hotel with fantastic staff! The kids said we were so lucky, haha!

Breakfast was at the Ruihai restaurant; it was decent, with good flavors. The variety might have been slightly limited, but we found it sufficient, as we can only eat so much anyway!

All in all, this trip was incredible value and absolutely wonderful!

Hygiene: The room was clean and tidy.
Environment: The surrounding environment is beautiful.
Service: The service attitude was excellent.

They also included tickets to the Ludaosong Squirrel Park for one adult and one child. The hotel breakfast was very plentiful, and the front desk cashier was super friendly and enthusiastic.

The room had a great orientation. The fridge met my daily needs, and the front desk staff was very friendly. They even offered a shuttle service for the concert, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a very good stay. The only issue was a smoky smell when I first entered the room, but it seems to be a common problem in Xiamen as all the hotels I stayed in had it. Considering everything, it's still a great choice. It's close to the airport, only about a ten-minute drive, which is very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Portman Hotel, and the picturesque surroundings truly made our experience special. The views are simply stunning, creating a beautiful backdrop for our getaway.

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone had a great time.

We especially loved the indoor pool area—it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the hotel’s ambiance. Overall, Portman Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable stay! Highly recommend it!

The hotel is very old, and the air quality is terrible. The air conditioning clearly hasn't been cleaned in ages, and my nose felt incredibly uncomfortable after just one night. Its location right next to the airport is convenient for early morning flights. However, the shuttle service is not great; they don't seem to account for the number of passengers. Some people at the airport were told to wait for the next shuttle because there wasn't enough space. I don't understand their arrangements. In the morning, I almost couldn't get on the shuttle for my flight because it was so unbelievably crowded.

After booking, someone will get in touch. Manager Xiao Yan even helped upgrade us to a sea-view room, and it was lovely to wake up to the ocean right outside the window. The breakfast was plentiful, and we could check in as soon as our plane landed. The breakfast items like 'Rou Yan' (meat dumplings) and fish dumplings with seafood were very authentic. The hotel environment was great, and the hygiene was excellent. The kids loved playing by the sea. We'd go clamming in the morning, then have a big meal, and participate in various activities. For example, the welcome staff, Xiao Qi, made a lacquered fan with the child, and they absolutely loved it!

Just a 5-minute walk from the subway, this hotel boasts a charming old Shanghai retro vibe. The telephone and lamps are particularly unique, and the service is quite good. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's still a worthwhile stay if you're catching a flight.
