We had a really enjoyable stay here and would definitely consider staying again.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We especially loved the big shower and the rain shower head. There was a universal power plug which made it really convenient.

The buffet breakfast had a good variety of options. The hotel also has a decent sized gym and a nice infinity pool.

The staff were attentive, friendly and willing to help. The hotel was clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The location is one of the biggest advantages. Being directly connected to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur makes shopping, dining and getting around incredibly convenient. It’s also close to the Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Park and Jalan Alor Food Street, making it a great base for exploring Kuala Lumpur.

The only minor downside was finding the hotel for the first time. Because Pavilion is such a huge shopping mall, it was a little confusing to navigate to the hotel, and some of the signs were quite small. The hotel elevators are also separate from the main mall elevators.

Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great location, comfortable rooms, attentive staff and excellent facilities. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient base in Kuala Lumpur.

Banyan Tree does not disappoint. The zen-like retreat atmosphere and the super attentive staff reminds me of the first trip I made here last year. Right from the start at check in, you are well taken care of with the welcome package - the iced hibiscus tea and cookie and towel. Then you proceed to choose your scent for your room. Special kudos to the wellness initiatives on the TV, just a tad pity that the physical activities were not available.

The breakfast was top notch quality with both ala carte and self service buffet selections. I'll be back!

Coordination for the hotel transfer was smooth. Staff was proactive and our overall stay was so pleasant. Response to every query was prompt. Loved the breakfast buffet! They feature signature dishes daily from different places in Indonesia and it was so authentic. There were several live stations for eggs, breads and pancakes, local healthy drinks and even noodles or soups, even fresh fruit juices - you can request for your preference. Staff is awesome - one of the heads of the restaurant - his name is Fir - even recommended his favorite personal drink to make for us. Lobby staff are always warm and smiling. Amenities are well-maintained. The fact that we can have access to three hotels under Banyantree was amazing! Loved the beach! Loved the restaurant vibe esp at XANA club - food is impeccable!
Place is good, food is great and people are wonderful! What more can you ask for? 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊😊😊 Coming from a FIRST TIMER to BINTAN.

Absolutely — I’d make it warm and genuinely glowing, while still giving the constructive feedback without taking away from the overall experience.

My stay at Banyan Tree Bintan was truly wonderful, and honestly, what stood out the most was the service.

Every single staff member we encountered was spectacular — warm, genuine, lovely and absolutely top-notch. You can really tell that the team goes the extra mile, and it shows in the little details and the way they genuinely cared for us throughout our stay. The hospitality felt sincere rather than simply being “good service”, and that made such a difference. I would genuinely return to Banyan Tree Bintan because of the people and the level of care we received.

If I had to be a little critical, the food was slightly disappointing when compared with the standards I would expect from Banyan Tree. The villas are also starting to feel a little worn in certain areas and could probably use some refreshing. The in-room TV streaming, especially HBO and some of the other services, was also extremely laggy and frustrating at times.

That said, these are small things compared to the overall experience. The warmth, attentiveness and genuine care from the staff really made our stay special. Banyan Tree Bintan, you have an amazing team — please take good care of them because they are truly the heart of the resort.

We had a beautiful stay, felt very well taken care of, and would absolutely return. ❤️

Facilities: I came here specifically for the boat access and private hot springs. The room with the boat dock faces east, which was perfect for soaking in the hot springs while watching the sunrise! The room was incredibly cozy, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the mini-bar had a wide variety of items. Since it was my birthday, I was upgraded to a suite, and the Japanese-style tatami tea room was very interesting!

Activities: The entire hotel was filled with a pleasant fragrance. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy, like lighting incense, making tea, and reading – perfect for a relaxing getaway. I'd heard great things about the spa, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Next to the spa, there's a collaborating gallery featuring two intriguing exhibitions, and the souvenirs were also quite unique. Plus, the weather was beautiful during my stay, and I really enjoyed borrowing bikes from Yueliu to cycle around!

Service: Absolutely exceeded expectations! The front desk butler was very responsive. As it was my birthday, they not only set up a lovely decoration and provided a delicious cake, but several staff members wished me a happy birthday when I encountered them, which was a wonderful surprise! Tina from the spa area was very warm and straightforward, giving me lots of great recommendations, and we had a fantastic chat.

Dining: Dining is probably this hotel's weak point. Breakfast was mediocre. The Baiyun restaurant wasn't open, so I went to Yueliu, and while the food tasted pretty good, it was low value for money – definitely high-end 'agritourism' style. However, the ambiance of both restaurants was superb, and on a sunny day, eating breakfast outdoors while petting cats was incredibly pleasant!

Banyan Tree Suzhou Shishan is the perfect resort for a family vacation with kids! The private hot spring in the courtyard was amazing – the water was clean, and it felt very private. We had a blast. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich and varied, with a semi-buffet style that ensured everything looked great and was fresh. They even included local Suzhou specialties, and the drink selection was extensive and visually appealing. The resort grounds are tranquil and elegant. Alice and all the staff were very attentive. Overall, our stay was a perfect 10, and I highly recommend it for families traveling with children.
