Booked a room for 3 single beds… understand that land is limited in Hong Kong but there was not even a tiny gap between each bed which left us rather disappointed. There is an insulated “fridge” in the room which isn’t an actual fridge so it was hard for us to keep our bubble tea or fruits in there overnight without fear that it will eventually spoil. There is a rather big mall that the hotel shuttle bus brings you to which is a plus point as you can have a simple breakfast there before commuting to Central/more touristy spots.

Checking in at midnight was seamless thanks to the three receptionists on duty. Staff are fluent in English/Cantonese/Mandarin. We were assigned room 1505, which is a corner room. The only downside was the double bed; it felt smaller than expected (smaller than two singles). The bed was softer than our preference. Sound insulation isn't the best as we heard neighbors talking loudly in the hallway. Good wifi with a couple of cable network stations. The glass working desk is quite small. It has a kettle with tea and coffee. There's a safe and slippers. The water refill fountain was next to the elevator. The pool is currently closed and the gym is on the 29th floor. They offer breakfast with an extra change but we didn't try it. There are several eateries within a 10 minute walk. Great service, just be aware of the bed sizing!

I stayed for two nights and then extended for another day. I can understand that room rates fluctuate, but coincidentally, there seemed to be a concert nearby, and the room rate almost doubled! I was so upset, but I ended up staying anyway. (I later realized it would've been cheaper to book two double rooms instead of one quad room!)

Since it was a quad room, the aisle was quickly filled with all four of our luggage. One of my companions needed to store medicine in the fridge, but the fridge's location was very odd, and with our suitcases there, we couldn't find it until the last day when we discovered it on the other side. I hope the hotel can label the fridge's location.

We were here for tourism and initially thought the hotel was close to the MTR station, but it turned out to be quite a distance. We were exhausted dragging our luggage, only to find out upon arrival that the hotel offered a shuttle bus. Later, when we wanted to use it for sightseeing, we discovered it only started at 10 AM. Haha, this place is an hour from Disneyland, so by the time we'd get there at 10 AM, it would already be noon. So we didn't end up using the shuttle much for sightseeing, only on our last day when departing.

Overall, I feel this place isn't very suitable for tourists. Previously, when I stayed in Tseung Kwan O, the MTR station was right downstairs. However, it might also be because my companion and I are early risers and late returners. The shuttle doesn't run early enough or late enough, and walking such a long way back every day was really tiring.

On a side note, you can see many cute 'Big Bay Chickens' here. Nearby, the Kai Tak Retail Hub has a Nintendo flagship store which is quite fun to browse. The food options are just typical mall fare, nothing special. You can take the shuttle to Airside for McDonald's, but it's a pity you can't get breakfast there (because the shuttle starts at 10 AM). On the other hand, this mall has a Mannings, which is a great convenience for tourists.

Many “wow” factors from my stay on 21–22 March. I was lucky to receive a room upgrade and the room was incredibly spacious. The receptionist was very welcoming and every staff member showed genuine hospitality. The shuttle driver was also very polite. Even when I requested for late check-out at 12:00, they were happy to accommodate.

I would definitely return—this is the only hotel in Hong Kong that truly impressed me for this time. Compared to the other hotels I stayed at during this trip. This was the perfect way to end my last night in HK

The hotel is very convenient with easy access to shopping areas via the shuttle service and there is also a tram station located close to the hotel if you will go central area

The hotel is in Mong Kok, and the front desk staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and they provided disposable slippers, though no disposable toothbrushes or combs. There are lots of 'cha chaan tengs' (local tea restaurants) nearby, and a McDonald's right across the street, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. There's also a local dim sum place in the Kowloon shopping mall, and having morning tea with the locals was a great experience.

Overall, the value for money is decent. For Hong Kong, getting a room of this size and bed dimensions at this price is acceptable. However, the hotel is a bit dated. The sink looks old, the coaster was a bit dirty, and there was grime in the crevice of the desk drawer pull. I understand the eco-friendly initiatives – bringing my own toothbrush and toothpaste, and no complimentary bottled water, are fine. But the room isn't cleaned by default unless you hang a sign on the doorknob, which is a bit inconvenient. I didn't even notice this sign initially, and it wasn't mentioned during check-in. Plus, you have to hang it out before 10 AM. I only discovered this rule when I returned on the second night. Alright, fine, I can accept not changing towels, sheets, pillowcases, or even bath towels, but at least empty the trash can, right? If they don't clean at all, they should definitely inform guests during check-in. On the day I left, I saw a multi-legged bug crawling in the bathroom. Luckily, I'm used to roughing it, so I just ignored it. Oh, and there was no hand soap, just body wash. The air conditioner was also very loud; good thing it was winter, so I just turned it off when sleeping. It would be unbearable in summer. I'd also suggest updating the curtains. I support being thrifty and environmentally conscious, but attention to detail is still important. Even budget hotels in mainland China's first-tier cities have better attention to detail than this place, at a third or even a fifth of the price. They did give two dining vouchers for Wah Sing Cafe, which are worth 82 HKD each, so that makes up for some of the shortcomings.

Strategic location, walking distance to Pavilion KL. Dorsett KL provided great hospitality for my birthday staycation, thank you!! Room was clean and comfy too!

Breakfast wise was decent and normal, the restaurant was so packed even at 8AM; crowded with less seat, and the food was not refilled (eg. condiments) not able to have the warmy congee.

This hotel is a frequent choice due to its excellent location and convenience. The pricing is quite favorable, particularly for rooms without windows, which are perfectly adequate for business trips. The rooms are consistently clean and quiet, though the decor appears somewhat dated. The television is rather small, offering a limited selection of channels. While the water pressure is strong, the outdated shower head causes the stream to disperse. Complimentary parking is not provided. The air conditioning functions effectively, maintaining a cool temperature. Overall, it is a clean and tidy establishment, and I intend to return for future business travel.

The hotel might be a bit older, with some irreversible signs of wear, but you can tell the cleaning is thorough. It's right next to the metro station, offering direct access to Bukit Bintang and Petaling Street, making it super convenient for getting around the city. It's also very close to UCSI, about a kilometer away, which you can reach by bus or on foot. The front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese but they're fluent in English; if you don't speak English, they'll use a translation app to help with check-in. You can also store your luggage there.

The hotel's location is right in the city center, about a 10-minute walk to the metro station. There's a large shopping mall and plenty of restaurants nearby, which is super convenient. The room facilities are neat and clean, with slippers, toothbrushes, a kettle, and a fridge – excellent value for money. My flight arrived early, so I was able to check in my luggage before the official check-in time and return after lunch. The front desk service was excellent.

While the lobby is quite luxurious, the hallways are in a state of disrepair, looking quite dilapidated. However, the in-room facilities are surprisingly complete and the room itself is very comfortable. It's clear that this is an old hotel; the carpets are worn and the air conditioning is noisy. But on the plus side, it's cheap, the room is spacious, and the window view is nice. It's also close to the city center, and there's a convenience store in the lobby downstairs. Overall, it's not bad.
Toothbrushes are an extra charge, and you need to get a hairdryer from the front desk. I recommend bringing your own slippers.

This Apartment type is really great place to stay for family. Although we don't use the kitchenette, it's a great thing to have, and also washer-dryer machine.
Spacious place, great views all around, close to every malls, walking distance to the Lot 10 and Pavillion and also to Berjaya Mall.

Great customer service and staffs.

Due to the late arrival of Scoot flight TR611 from Suvarnabhumi past 11.30 pm, it costs me S$21.30 by Grab to arrive at Dorsett Changi City Hotel from Changi Airport. I stayed here one night for the convenience of boarding the free shuttle bus service at the neighbouring Expo Hall 5 for Singapore Airshow 2026 past 7 am on 8 February 2026. 

There is no need to pay the room deposit for one night stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel.

The room rate is overpriced as the room allocated to me is small. There is no pair of indoor slippers or sandals to wear and there is no room razor to use. Instead of four-class service, the hotel service should be classified as three-class instead.

Top quality body lotion as well as body and hand wash are provided for room use.

There is free filtered water to drink. 

Like Maya Hotel in Phuket, the toilet is separated from the shower room but Dorsett guests hang towels in the toilet and not the shower room! Flooding occurs after showering.

Breakfast also starts at 6.30 am but it costs S$33.57 per guest. This is the breakfast rate payable to the reception by debit card, credit card or cash while it costs S$39 plus if the guest pays for breakfast at the hotel's Cosmo Restaurant. 

6.30 am is the earliest breakfast outside homes in Changi as the nearest convenience store 7-11 is opened only at 7 am daily. The restaurant serves more varieties of fruits than other hotel restaurants as well as multi-grain bread.

Cosmo Restaurant is also running ala carte buffet lunch promo rate at S$29.90 per person. Members of the public can also eat here.

During winter months, planes can be seen flying past Standard Chartered Bank Building of Changi Business Park from the lift corridor. The reception says hotel guests on the hotel's swimming pool deck can also see planes flying.

I recommend to stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel for one night only if guests wanted to go to Expo to attend a MICE event on the next day, catch an early free shuttle bus to Singapore Airshow or stay at a cheaper rate than Yotelair Changi during transit.

Dear Hotel Management,

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent five-night stay at your hotel from 8 to 13 February 2026. I sincerely hope this feedback helps improve service quality for future guests.

Firstly, during check-in, we were asked to sign a document at the reception counter. As I was unsure how the form should be completed, I politely asked whether the numbers shown were my passport or ID number and whether the information was correct before signing. Unfortunately, the receptionist responded loudly in a manner that felt unfriendly and uncomfortable. As a 77-year-old guest who sometimes has difficulty reading clearly, I was only asking for clarification. This experience was quite upsetting and has stayed with me since.

Secondly, upon arrival there was no assistance with our luggage. Carrying heavy bags up the sloped entrance steps was physically difficult for me as a senior guest. During the stay, when returning from shopping with bags, there was also no assistance available at the entrance.

Another point concerns the welcome infused drinking water in the lobby. It was self-service, but the jug was empty when we arrived, and afterwards we did not see it being replenished for new arriving guests.

Regarding housekeeping, on one day we went out expecting the room to be cleaned, but when we returned around 4:00 pm the room was still not serviced. On another day, face towels were missing. We were told they had run out of stock and that towels would be delivered around 7:00 pm, but they only arrived after we called again at about 10:00 pm.

Additionally, the in-room phone did not seem to connect properly to housekeeping or the operator, which made communication difficult. Eventually, I had to call the hotel using my mobile phone before assistance was provided.

I truly respect the hospitality industry and understand that challenges can happen. However, courtesy, clear communication, and assistance — especially for senior guests — are very important. I sincerely hope the hotel will review these matters for service improvement.
