Let's start with the positives:
The hotel is incredibly close to the concert venue, making it super convenient for shows. They even have a dedicated entrance for quick security checks.
It's only a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport to the hotel.
Nearby, there's the Kai Tak Retail Hub with plenty of great food and drink options. You can easily snag a table at Chicha San Chen and Sushiro during non-peak hours when there aren't any performances.

Now for the negatives:
It's not particularly close to Sung Wong Toi or Kai Tak MTR stations.
Since it's an eco-friendly hotel, the facilities are a bit basic. However, considering the usual room rates in Hong Kong are quite reasonable, it balances out. That said, during performance events, the room prices skyrocket.

The hotel location is less than 10 minutes walk to the Tai Wo Hau MTR station, however they do provide shuttle van service to the Kwai Fong MTR station every 30 minutes. The journey in the train to Central is just about 25 minutes.

There is a small 7-11 next to the hotel but it is not 24 hours. If you come back late and craving for some food, you may go to the eatery under Tai Wo Hau residences, they open late. There are some vending machines in the hotel ground floor as well.

The room is clean and spacious with the reasonable price in HK.

Dorsett Kwun Tong, a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Kwun Tong's business district, boasts an excellent location close to the MTR station, making it highly convenient for business travelers. The guest rooms are modern and elegant, with some offering views of Victoria Harbour or the city. While the amenities are comprehensive, soundproofing in some rooms could be better. The hotel also features Shunde Kung Fish Village Flagship Store, serving authentic Shunde cuisine. Overall, the facilities cater well to both business and leisure needs.

The hotel is quite clean and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around the city. However, the rooms are a bit old and could use some aesthetic improvement.The apartment I stayed in had a window that couldn’t be opened, and the glass was only for lighting — you couldn’t actually see outside.Overall, it’s a good hotel, but a few upgrades would make the experience even more enjoyable.

I stayed here for two nights over a weekend trip to Hong Kong. The location is near a residential area in Mong Kok, and walking alone at night felt a bit scary.

**Facilities:** The room was very small, and the soundproofing was definitely poor. Luckily, the first night my neighbors were quiet. On the second night, the upstairs room was noisy for about 30 minutes around 1 AM, but I just put up with it.

The shower drain in the bathroom had issues; the water drained extremely slowly and was very clogged. It felt like showering in a pool of water. I reported it to the front desk the next day, and they said they'd fix it, but by evening, it was still the same.

**Cleanliness:** It was okay. The bed linens were quite old and pilled.

**Service:** The front desk staff were very friendly.

**Heads up:** Besides not having disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, there were also no combs, hand soap, or regular soap. Remember to bring your own.

**Location is too far from the MTR station:** Whether it's Mong Kok or Olympic station, it's at least a 10-minute walk, which is quite tiring. Although the hotel has a shuttle bus, it only runs once an hour, making it hard to time and catch.

The hotel's location is a bit far from the MTR station, but there are two free shuttle services to Central and Causeway Bay. Although the hotel shows its age, the cleanliness is excellent. There's an outdoor terrace on the fifth floor, perfect for relaxing.

Booking includes a coupon for a set meal at the Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng, Capital Cafe: a great experience.

NICE HOTEL, ANOTHER HOSPITALITY  FROM DORSETT CHAIN  HOTELS.
WE HAVE ALWAYS PREFERRED  TO STAY AT THE DORSETT HOTELS WHENEVER WE TRAVELLED ANYWHERE.
NICE ROOM BUT SLIGHTLY  SMALLER THAN THE USUAL DORSETT HOTELS.
PARKING IS NOT FREE AND SLIGHTLY  HIDDEN. WE HAD TO MAKE 3 TURNS AND GET THE HELP OF THE STAFF TO FIND THE PARKING WHICH IS AT PLAZA DAMAS.
LOCATION IS GOOD,  NEAR PLAZA DAMAS AND HARTAMAS SHOPPING  CENTRE. 
ADVISABLE NOT TO WALK TO EITHER MALL IF YOU ARE ON STILETTOS.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff were helpful, and the location is excellent—walking distance to major malls and food options. A solid choice for a convenient and comfortable stay in the city.

Had a wonderful stay at J-Hotel by Dorsett! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.

The location is great — convenient and close to many eateries and shops. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur is a conveniently located hotel, particularly suitable for business travellers and guests with early schedules. One of its strongest features is the breakfast service, which starts as early as 6.00 am—a thoughtful and practical arrangement for guests who need to leave early for work, meetings, or travel.

The rooms are generally comfortable and functional, and the hotel offers reasonable value for money. Staff members are courteous and helpful, contributing positively to the overall stay experience.

However, the Wi-Fi coverage is an area that requires improvement. In some rooms and common areas, the signal can be moderate or weak, which may be inconvenient for guests who rely on stable internet access for work or communication.

Overall, Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur remains a practical choice due to its location and early breakfast offering. With enhanced Wi-Fi coverage and network reliability, the hotel could significantly improve guest satisfaction.

Silka Maytower provides efficient services and accommodations however, a lot needs to improve in terms of infra-structuring internal designs on the room. Overall i would still recommend staying.

Dorsett Residences is located right next to Dorsett Hotel, hence we share the same breakfast venue at Dorsett Hotel restaurant. The breakfast is the same every day. There is no variety to the food and it honestly got a bit dreadful by the 3rd morning of our stay. The location of the apartment is good though, about 5-7min min walk away from Fahrenheit and Pavilion. The size of the apartment is just right for my family of 4. The staff will clean the room every day and I love it that there is a washer and dryer in the room for me to do laundry. However I was appalled that the bedsheets were not changed during the 4 nights I was there because the same black stains were visible on the bedsheets throughout. Apartment has a gym and swimming pool on the 30th floor that opens from 8 am to 10 pm daily.

Booked for Taiwan guests. They enjoyed the comfort of the hotel room. Easy access by 2 MRT lines and only 1 stop to airport. Enjoyed shopping and eateries at Changi City Point. They decide to be back here the next trip.
Highly recommended hotel but understaff during check in and check out time.

Cleanliness is quite questionable as there are hairs all over the toilet floor. The rooms look dated even though they claim to be recently renovated. They have Elemis toiletries though.
