The Shanghai New Jinjiang Hotel is a five-star hotel situated in the heart of Shanghai's Huaihai Road. Although it's an older hotel, dating back to the reform and opening-up period, it has been renovated and refurbished, ensuring its facilities and environment remain top-notch. The service standards haven't dropped either; the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, restaurant, and doormen, are all very warm and attentive to guests. The hotel has two standout features worth praising: first, the guest room windows can be opened slightly for ventilation, which is much more comfortable than the sealed windows found in most high-end hotels. Second, it boasts the uniquely designed and decorated Blue Sky Revolving Restaurant, where dining is a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend it with five stars.

The hotel's location is excellent! It's just a few minutes' walk to Nanjing Road, making dining incredibly convenient. Right across the street is an entrance to Metro Line 2! Ever since we discovered how to use the transit feature in Alipay for the subway, we've realized how convenient Line 2 is; it saves so much time compared to taking a taxi. The hotel service is fantastic! You can scan a QR code in your room to pre-order freshly baked butterfly pastries (hudiesu) gift boxes, so you don't have to wait in line. Every day, there's a queue stretching dozens of meters outside the hotel for these pastries. As a guest, you can skip the line, and each gift box contains six packs. Although the hotel is a bit old (which is exactly why we wanted to stay here!), it's very clean and comfortable, equipped with a smart toilet, and the shower has great water pressure, which is very pleasant.

Service: The service and attitude were indeed excellent; even the cleaning staff would greet us.

Environment: They upgraded us to a garden-view room, but there wasn't much of a view in the garden.

Hygiene: Overall, it was acceptable, but the carpet looked a bit dirty.

Facilities: I really need to complain about the soundproofing! Around midnight, the room next door, right by our headboard, was screaming and laughing like crazy – the guests' behavior was really questionable. I was woken up in the middle of the night by various noises from upstairs or the hallway, and by the banging sounds of the TV expanding and contracting. Then, around 8 AM, I guess the neighbors checked out, because I could hear the cleaning staff's every move clearly. Also, the pillows were so flat and unsupportive that I woke up feeling very tired.

The Shanghai Jianguo Hotel is a well-established four-star hotel located in the heart of Xujiahui's commercial district. Its biggest advantage is its extremely convenient location, close to the subway and shopping areas, making getting around and shopping incredibly easy. The hotel offers consistent and standardized service, with clean and comfortable rooms, though some facilities feel a bit traditional and the decor is somewhat outdated. Overall, it provides a practical and reliable accommodation experience at a lower price than international five-star hotels in the same area. It's highly recommended for business travelers and leisure guests who prioritize convenient transportation and value for money.

This retro hotel is full of charm and boasts an excellent location right in the city center, opposite People's Square. What first struck me was how the hotel has preserved the nearly century-old architectural style of old Shanghai. The lobby, restaurant, and cafe are fantastic spots for photos. For someone who loves nostalgia like me, the rooms are absolutely perfect. Looking out at Nanjing West Road (with the bustling Huanghe Road just behind it) while enjoying a cup of coffee offers a unique flavor. 

Secondly, the front desk retains the unique charm of old Shanghai with its more seasoned staff. They handle interactions with international guests with ease. A special thanks to Tony Yang at the front desk; his calm and humorous demeanor, along with his very authentic recommendations for local food, attractions, and even transportation routes, made me feel incredibly welcome. My fondness for Shanghai instantly soared (I hope the hotel continues to feature such distinctive, senior staff). 

As I had an early flight the next day, the hotel's concierge thoughtfully booked a car to the airport for me. They even helped with my luggage all the way to the car before waving goodbye. Oh, a quick tip: you can scan a QR code in the room to buy freshly baked butterfly pastries from the International Hotel without queuing. They make a great gift for family back home.

This hotel is really nice; the lobby is grand, and the service attitude is good. Most importantly, the hotel's buffet is delicious, and the beef potstickers are absolutely amazing (yyds)! It's my first time having freshly made ones at a five-star hotel, and it was incredibly satisfying. We watched fireworks from the hotel at night; honestly, they were a bit far, so if you're specifically going for the fireworks, it's better to watch them closer. The front desk even gave a small gift to my child when we left. The only downside was that the air conditioning felt a bit stuffy at night – not cold enough when off, but stuffy and a bit dry when on. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and the highlight is definitely the delicious buffet for its price point. We had a wonderful New Year's Day here! 😄

I absolutely love this hotel! I was in Shanghai for a business trip, and it's perfectly situated right across from my workplace. It's a four-star hotel, and the location is simply fantastic – you step right out of the subway station and into the hotel's back entrance. It feels like a well-established property, and the lobby is impressively spacious. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Convenient check-in, quiet despite being in a bustling area, with good privacy. Due to my child's allergies, we were upgraded to a three-bedroom room, and I'm very grateful for the attentive care from the front desk. The breakfast featured local specialties: savory soy milk, fried dough sticks, and wontons…delicious! The Spanish architecture, over 100 years old 🏘️, is fantastic! I would definitely stay here again to enjoy the large green space in front and the tranquil fragrance of osmanthus blossoms…

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location was near the airport where we needed to be but it’s not great if you want to explore downtown. The staff were also lovely, The pool is nice and warm enough with great staff too. There was a few concerns I had. We had the ac in as cold and as high as it would go and it was just passable. I’d be scared to come in summer. We had the baby crib which was set up lovely but there was a weird door there baby could kick out of and slip through. We put a suitcase up next to it to keep it shut but it could be really dangerous if you didn’t notice.

I was very satisfied with the front desk service. I arrived quite late in the evening, but the receptionist was still very enthusiastic and helped me with check-in. I'm very pleased. Since I arrived late, I also ordered takeout, and the hotel has a robot delivery service, which is incredibly convenient – definitely a big plus! I'll probably stay here again next time.

The hotel is very nice, excellent service, clean, good-smelling and bright. Breakfasts are quite good, wide range of different food. A bit far away from metro station, but railway park make the walk nice. Also conference hall are really comfortable too, good equipped.

The hotel is well-located, offering convenient access to a nearby station and within walking distance of Wangfujing, while being slightly removed from the busier (and more expensive) center of that area. There are also plenty of affordable local dining options close by. Check-in was smooth, requiring a 500 RMB deposit, which was promptly refunded upon check-out.

The room was spacious and generally well-maintained, with good cleaning service. The bed was slightly firm, but the room was equipped with daily-provided bathroom amenities, effective heating, complimentary bottled water, comfortable slippers, and robes.

It was spring during our stay, and high dust levels in the city affected the air quality in the room, which could be a concern for guests with allergic rhinitis. Additionally, the hotel's policy of not operating air conditioning during spring resulted in occasional discomfort at night, although a fan was provided quickly upon request.

Hotel facilities were not extensively used, but we noted they had a good-sized conference and banquet area, which could be useful for business or event travelers.
The neighborhood around the hotel felt safe and was pleasant for walking, with easy access to transportation and food options. The hotel itself was well soundproofed, ensuring a quiet stay despite its central location.

One notable drawback was the language barrier. Despite being a 4-star hotel, none of the staff we encountered spoke English, which made communication challenging. On several occasions, calls to the reception desk were disconnected without resolution, which felt unprofessional.

Lastly, we chose not to avail of the hotel's breakfast due to its relatively high price, but the abundance of nearby, affordable dining options made this a non-issue.

Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to business and family travelers looking for a centrally located, safe, and generally comfortable place to stay.

Stayed temporarily for overtime, free parking. There is a KTV in the basement of the hotel, and the lobby on the first floor is a bit noisy. The room was cleaned fairly well. There was no toothbrush, but the robot could bring it up, which was very convenient. However, the mahogany style of the room looked very old overall, and the facilities were not good, especially the bathroom. The bathtub was difficult to drain, and the hair dryer was very weak, and the hair dryer could not blow up the hair. It was okay to stay for one night, but it is not recommended if you are traveling to Beijing

The hotel is very comfortable, completely worthy of its price, the front desk service is very good, especially the Zhang Yu, Li Shuang, Li Chaoran who served me not only are beautiful, but also the service attitude is quite gentle. I really want to think about what I think. I wanted to stay for two days and check out. The room was renewed repeatedly!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Muslim Quarter. There's a subway station right outside the entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy. The floor staff were also very polite and had a great service attitude. The facilities are comprehensive, including free swimming and a gym, plus a laundry room. The East-meets-West buffet breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an.

This stay was very, very satisfying.
The front desk service was very comfortable and warm. It was strict in check-in and responsible for the guests. When entering the hotel, the staff always smiled and were enthusiastic. From patiently answering questions during check-in, to the receptionist standing outside who took the initiative to help with luggage and guide the room, every detail showed professionalism and thoughtfulness, especially Ms. Jing Feifei and Ms. Xu Aojun at the front desk. They felt very good and were very skilled in operation. Even in the face of peak check-in, I didn't feel the slightest bit of waiting. The other staff were also very careful and responded to questions in a timely manner. Every front desk staff had a warm and friendly smile on their faces. They took the initiative to greet and patiently listened to my needs. Whether asking for food recommendations around the hotel or understanding the routes of some tourist attractions, they could give detailed and practical answers. When I called in the morning to ask where to eat, they would tell me and explain the time to time. It felt very intimate, and they were all smiling. They treated guests very warmly and thoughtfully, making people feel at home as soon as they stepped into the hotel.
The hotel's facilities and equipment are complete and relatively advanced. The bed in the room is soft and comfortable, all kinds of electrical appliances are available, the air conditioning and heating effect are good, and the network is very stable. It can meet the needs of leisure and entertainment or work. The bathroom is clean and tidy, the shower equipment has a moderate water output, the water temperature is easy to adjust, and it is very comfortable to use.
Speaking of the hotel environment, the night view outside the hotel is very beautiful. The front desk lady also upgraded my room type to the Hejing King Room. I can work while enjoying the scenery at night. This river view is really beautiful. I must stay here next time I come to Xi'an. In the afternoon, I went out and the scenery of the hotel park is also very good. There are many green plants, the environment is very good, and it is very clean. In the afternoon, there will be people fishing by the river, which feels very comfortable. The public area is elegantly decorated, and the decoration style is simple but stylish. The corridor is clean and odorless, and the green plants are arranged in a staggered manner, adding a bit of vitality. The restaurant environment is even more pleasant, with neatly arranged tables and chairs, and soft lighting to create a comfortable dining atmosphere.
