Excellent location and reasonable price.

We received a free upgrade to a spacious Villa Suite. Unfortunately, the interior designer placed the bed directly in front of the TV, making it impossible to enjoy the beautiful view from bed.

The bed was comfortable and soundproofing was good.

Areas for improvement:
- Breakfast: A wide selection, but the overall quality was poor. We tried both Western and Chinese dishes, and even the wontons were just passable.
- The bread and pastries were unacceptable.
- The room had an espresso machine, but no coffee capsules were provided, only drip coffee bags...
- The sofa in the living area had a patch of different colored fabric. This slapdash repair contradicts the idea of quality service; the hotel should pay more attention to details (see photo).
- There were no power outlets near the bed or at the desk.

To make it convenient for us to see Les Misérables at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, we specifically chose the historic Park Hotel nearby – it really fit the occasion! The room facilities were complete, and the bedding was comfortable. Outside the window, the neon lights of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street twinkled. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation (and even a smart toilet!), and the water pressure for the shower was great – a fantastic experience! The breakfast selection was also quite rich. The hotel's location is excellent, and transportation is incredibly convenient, with a subway station right across the street. The hotel staff were very warm, friendly, and patient. They also have the famous butterfly pastries available for pre-order!

The environment here is fantastic, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The service was also excellent; after emptying the trash, the staff even washed their hands before refilling our drinks. The bellhop service was also top-notch. They even gave us scallion oil crackers when we checked out. I'll definitely be back!

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations; its location and ambiance are top-notch, comparable to a five-star establishment. As an older hotel, it doesn't feel dated at all after its 2016 renovation. The style is vintage but the lighting is very bright. The air conditioning was wonderfully warm, and the amenities (telephone, hairdryer, refrigerator, etc.) were all in great working order and felt new. The bedding was also excellent. I particularly enjoyed the drinks in the mini-bar, and the small details (slippers, desk) were all very well executed. If I had to pick the best value-for-money hotel, this would be it.

This retro hotel is full of charm and boasts an excellent location right in the city center, opposite People's Square. What first struck me was how the hotel has preserved the nearly century-old architectural style of old Shanghai. The lobby, restaurant, and cafe are fantastic spots for photos. For someone who loves nostalgia like me, the rooms are absolutely perfect. Looking out at Nanjing West Road (with the bustling Huanghe Road just behind it) while enjoying a cup of coffee offers a unique flavor. 

Secondly, the front desk retains the unique charm of old Shanghai with its more seasoned staff. They handle interactions with international guests with ease. A special thanks to Tony Yang at the front desk; his calm and humorous demeanor, along with his very authentic recommendations for local food, attractions, and even transportation routes, made me feel incredibly welcome. My fondness for Shanghai instantly soared (I hope the hotel continues to feature such distinctive, senior staff). 

As I had an early flight the next day, the hotel's concierge thoughtfully booked a car to the airport for me. They even helped with my luggage all the way to the car before waving goodbye. Oh, a quick tip: you can scan a QR code in the room to buy freshly baked butterfly pastries from the International Hotel without queuing. They make a great gift for family back home.

We booked a suite, including executive lounge access, for our New Year's Eve stay with family, including a one-year-old, hoping for a more relaxed experience. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed, mainly due to the executive lounge and cleanliness.

1.  **Executive Lounge:**
    *   Having stayed at many hotels, this is the first time I've heard of executive lounge privileges ending from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM (or 5 PM).
    *   It's a set menu, not a buffet, with one set per room. It mostly consists of very ordinary small desserts, which my elderly parents couldn't eat due to health reasons.
    *   There was only one staff member in the executive lounge, handling everything from front desk reception to making coffee and serving afternoon tea. She was so busy she was practically running. We waited almost half an hour for our desserts to be served. We had high expectations for the executive lounge, but it was a big letdown.

2.  **Cleanliness:** With a young child who is still learning to walk and a bit unsteady, we noticed quite large, visible dust bunnies on the floor, almost like clumps of dirt.

3.  **Other Aspects:**
    *   We booked two suites and specifically requested not to have rooms at the very end or beginning of the hall. Upon arrival, we were told this room type is inherently at the ends. We weren't informed of this beforehand; otherwise, I could have changed the room type directly.
    *   Given it was a special holiday, I proactively contacted the butler for a small gift. To my surprise, when I went to the front desk and asked if they had any pony plush toys, I was told they were all gone. It's a bit disappointing for them to be out so early in the New Year.
    *   The parking directions given by the front desk were incorrect.

Despite these issues, the butler who served us had an excellent attitude, proactively brought a New Year's Eve cake, and responded very promptly on WeChat. Thumbs up for their service!

First off, the location is excellent. It's right next to Metro Zhaojiabang Road Exit 4, just 2.5 km from the Huangpu River, and Zhongshan Hospital is only a few minutes' walk away. Secondly, the room was incredibly spacious, with excellent amenities and comfortable bedding. Despite being close to the road, the room was well soundproofed and quiet. Downstairs, within just a short walk, you'll find restaurants, fruit shops, and supermarkets, making it incredibly convenient. I would definitely consider staying here again; it's highly recommended.

Hidden Gem, a Shanghai hotel, a shining example of a Chinese brand under the Jinjiang brand.

Facilities: Renovated in 2004 and reopened in March 2005, the facilities are impeccable. The decor is remarkably Shanghainese, complete with Siemens appliances and Kohler bathroom fixtures. The toiletries are from the time-honored Chinese brand Shanghai Tang, creating a sophisticated oriental feel.

Environment: The hotel building dates back to 1920, later becoming the Jing'an Hotel. A century later, it was restored to its original name, ”Haige Apartment.” While retaining the charm of old Shanghai, the interior has been renovated. The hotel is located near Jing'an Temple, about a five-minute walk away, and is close to a subway exit. The large lawn at the entrance is a rare find in such a prime location. The on-site fitness center is compact and not particularly professional, but it's adequate.

Service: The staff are friendly and professional. They'll check on your luggage before check-in, as the hotel entrance is a flight of steps, making it difficult to manage without assistance. Breakfast is a buffet option, with both Western omelets and Chinese wontons available.

Came here with my boyfriend, it was pretty good.

**Facilities:** A bit old, but it's an old hotel that's been around for a while, so that's understandable.
**Cleanliness:** Everything was good.
**Environment:** The surroundings are super convenient, the subway station is right outside.
**Service:** Excellent!

The hotel stay was excellent, the service level exceeded expectations, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were comprehensive and advanced, making guests feel comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, ensuring a pleasant mood for the day. In short, this was a very satisfying accommodation experience and is highly recommended!

The hotel is very nice, excellent service, clean, good-smelling and bright. Breakfasts are quite good, wide range of different food. A bit far away from metro station, but railway park make the walk nice. Also conference hall are really comfortable too, good equipped.

Mayday stayed in a family room at Xinhai Jinjiang. It's conveniently located just to the left, right at Shijia Hutong, and a short walk to the right, just off Metro Lines 5 and 8, offering convenient transportation. The hotel lobby is grand, the rooms are spacious, the bedding is immaculate, and the amenities are complete. I'm very grateful to the front desk staff, Xiao Qi and Xiao He, for their warm and attentive service. When we were about to check out, the manager, Xiao Li, personally went to our room to retrieve our forgotten charging cable. A true testament to the strength of a strong leader. Xinhai Jinjiang will remain my top choice for any visit to Beijing.

I went to Beijing on a business trip and stayed with friends. It was a bit pricey but the price was OK. It is really worth recommending. I had seen it nearby before and it was my first time staying there and it felt different.

The hotel is very comfortable, completely worthy of its price, the front desk service is very good, especially the Zhang Yu, Li Shuang, Li Chaoran who served me not only are beautiful, but also the service attitude is quite gentle. I really want to think about what I think. I wanted to stay for two days and check out. The room was renewed repeatedly!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Muslim Quarter. There's a subway station right outside the entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy. The floor staff were also very polite and had a great service attitude. The facilities are comprehensive, including free swimming and a gym, plus a laundry room. The East-meets-West buffet breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an.

The room is very large. The double bed is really big and can sleep 4 people. The room is heated enough to make you sweat. I went to the Chinese restaurant with my family to celebrate New Year's Eve. The dishes tasted good. The front desk, concierge, housekeeping, and catering staff were enthusiastic.
The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was a bit soft.
The closed circuit of the TV in room 2550 was loose, the screen was seriously snowy, the kettle could not be disconnected automatically, the hair dryer plug was difficult to plug into the socket, the bathroom makeup mirror might be broken and removed, and there were 2 screw holes on the wall.
