Shanghai JW Marriott Marquis is the ultimate holiday getaway for a May Day escape in the 'Magic City'! The executive river-view room offers breathtaking views of the Huangpu River and Lujiazui skyline. You can soak in the tub while enjoying the nightscape—it's incredibly romantic and sets the perfect ambiance 🌃. Angel's service was attentive and thoughtful, the breakfast was rich and exquisite, and the executive lounge experience was superb, with every detail exuding luxury. Staying here for the May Day holiday is both relaxing and picture-perfect. A flawless vacation starts right here!

The hotel stay was great, though it's quite high up with the lobby on the 38th floor. The room service was excellent! They noticed I didn't have a mouse pad and even brought one up for me. I've stayed in so many hotels, and this is the only one that's ever been so considerate about a small detail like a mouse pad.

This JW Marriott is absolutely fantastic! A family trip here is simply divine!

The moment you draw the curtains, you're greeted with a stunning lake view. ✨
The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, making an evening bath so relaxing. However, the hairdryer was a fake Dyson, which was a bit disappointing.

The service is excellent! Lobby staff, including the cleaning aunties, always greeted us proactively.

My stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen was absolutely fantastic, a five-star recommendation is a must! The guest relations specialist, Reina, was attentive and professional throughout my visit. She handled the check-in efficiently and meticulously, proactively introducing me to the hotel facilities and local attractions. Her demeanor was gentle and perfectly poised. The room was spacious and elegant, spotlessly clean, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's amenities are high-end and luxurious, and the breakfast was abundant and fresh. The entire service team was warm and thoughtful. Reina's kind service made my trip feel incredibly welcoming, truly showcasing Marriott's five-star quality. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shenzhen!

Overall experience is satisfactory even though there is some issue happened where the front desk has made immediate compensation.  The hotel is near the fairy wheel and outdoor shopping mall that is very connivence.  Hotel executive complimentary is the best, where I can enjoy the most in the hotel with tea, wine and late check out.  The suite they compensate is very spacious and nice.  However, due to the construction site next to hotel, the standard room is comparatively noisy and there are multiple flying ants existed in the room, which annoyed me.  Hotel should be more cautious while they are cleaning and balcony should not open to avoid insects fly in from construction sites.

Seriously, you can't always trust negative reviews; everyone has different expectations, and when we're on vacation, the goal is to be happy and satisfied with everything. I remember one day we returned to the hotel early, and our room had already been tidied. My sunglasses, which I'd left out that morning, had a new cleaning cloth next to them, and my child's phone cable was neatly organized with a cable clip. It was incredibly thoughtful. After resting for a bit, we went to the hotel pool. The outdoor pool on the M floor offers views of the Burj Khalifa. I didn't expect the room to be cleaned again, but when we returned, it was! All my valuable jewelry I'd left on the nightstand was still there. Later, when we went out for dinner, we actually ran into the two young men doing the turndown service, and they greeted us politely. Honestly, after a tiring day of exploring, returning to a tidy and welcoming room every time, who would even think about finding fault? My only regret is not having exchanged enough foreign currency for tips! 🙉

The Kitchen6 restaurant is enormous. You might think you've been seated in a really out-of-the-way spot, but there are coffee machines, toasters, and even duplicate food stations everywhere, even in the far corners. It couldn't be more convenient. Although this hotel was recommended to me because it had Chinese food, I never actually ate any. There's no need to insist on Chinese food. The steamed fish, however, was excellent; I had it twice. Everything else was random, and my stomach was incredibly stable for days. Oh, and by the way, the cappuccino the hostess made for me on the first day was so thoughtful – she even gave me a milk pitcher and a shot of espresso on the side. Have all the 'five-star' hotels I've stayed at before been fakes? 🙉

One of the amazing stays I made in Dubai, I actually celebrated my husband’s birthday along with my business trip, I requested the hotel for special arrangements and I am really grateful for their support and nice arrangements.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay and for sure I will recommend this hotel for all: as the hotel is luxury, JW kitchen’s food is so delicious, the location is amazing next to one of the best malls in Dubai, connected to Dubai Marina where you can find a number or restaurants and cafes and you will also be able to take a boat/ yacht trips.
Thanks to all the staff at the hotel as all were friendly and respectful.
