I booked a double room but the so called big bed is actually 2 single bed that they put together. it made me difficult to sleep as the 'middle' part of the bed tends to be higher, it will make you keep sliding down to the edge... literally I can only chose 1 side to sleep. In addition, when I asked the front desk if I could do a late check out, normal check out time is 12 noon, the response was No you cannot provided you pay another NTD400+ per hour.... personally i don't like her attitude and way of response. Hope to be more polite and patience.

Hotel room was clean and quite spacious, which was great. Location of the hotel is close to the metro station as well so that’s a plus. The staff were generally quite nice except we found it quite weird that they would call you on the phone 30 mins before checking out. Felt a bit off that they are trying to rush people out. Besides that, a good hotel in general.

Very good hotel, no complaints what’s so ever, beds were clean and no weird smells in the room. Had a great view of 101. Clean bathrooms, only small complaint was the water took awhile to get to hot, noting we were on the 16th floor but never had this issue before. Not a big deal though

Train station like 5 steps left or right from the door. And 7eleven as well

Slight walk of 15mins from taipei train station, kinda troublesome with luggage and also if its raining. Hotel staff is very nice and so so helpful ! Room is really mordern and clean, definitely worthy! Downside, windows not really soundproof, can hear loud motorcycles in the night.

Stayed for one night. Check-in was very efficient, took about 3 minutes total. Staff were helpful; in fact, they helped an elderly gentleman who has trouble walking to his room.

Room is spacious enough and has sufficient amenities for its price point. Only minor downside is the only window is in the bathroom.

The hotel doesn't have any fancy amenities, the reception is very simple.

However, it ticks all the boxes for my business trips, I stay here every time I come to Taipei for work:
- The rooms are spacious and clean
- The decor is modern and minimal, it provides for a relaxing environment after a long day's work
- Located nearby a metro station, easy to commute but far away from major tourist attractions to have peace and quiet after work
- There are many great restaurants and cafes nearby

After numerous changes to our Chinese New Year travel plans, we finally settled on Kodak Hotel 1. The reception staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. When they heard we had a laptop and might not be able to leave it out, they immediately offered to store it for us behind the counter. At breakfast, the restaurant staff noticed me looking for something and proactively asked what I needed, then promptly brought fresh milk to our table. A delightful surprise was the welcome candy on the table in our room, accompanied by a handwritten greeting card and an adorable Asakusa golden turtle – I absolutely loved it! 💕

The only minor drawbacks were... the single bed in the triple room was quite small, more like a sofa bed, and not very comfortable to sleep on. Also, when showering, the hot water was inconsistent, fluctuating between scalding hot and cold, and the water pressure was unstable. However, they did provide bath salts, allowing for a warm and relaxing bath.

During the holiday season, while most people are on vacation, there's a dedicated group working tirelessly. As someone also in the service industry, it was tough to see your hotel staff apologizing to guests, and I truly appreciate the efforts of all the Kodak Hotel staff!

Free laundry and 7-11 is just located at Ground Floor of the hotel.

The room was cozy and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There are many food options nearby, making it ideal for solo travelers. It's not too far from the MRT station, within walking distance, which makes getting around very convenient. For Singapore, the price was really good value for money.

Great location, but some drawbacks

The location was excellent — right in the centre, easy to get around, and very close to the metro, which made travelling simple.

The room was clean enough but extremely small. The bed itself was comfortable, however the bathroom was a real issue. The shower door was broken, meaning I had to hold it up while showering. Given how tiny the bathroom was, this made showering awkward and frustrating.

I also struggled to sleep due to an annoying noise coming from somewhere in the room or building.

That said, considering the low price and the fantastic location, it was acceptable overall — but some basic maintenance would make a big difference.

The place, I think it’s perfect for solo travellers, backpackers, and maybe even couples that don’t mind the space itself - I’m pretty sure they have pods for more than two people, but I believe Place is more suited for single people. The place is cool to be honest and looks futuristic like out of a Tron movie 😆

Jokes aside, the amenities were alright - Just a heads up to those who used to the conventional USB-C type wires as the pod only has USB-A ports charging mounts - toilets extremely clean just don’t forget to bring your own shampoo and body soap, there were washing machines and as I was switching my head, thinking where the charge my devices, turned out that on top of the washing machine and like extension for  three-pin plugs so that saved my headache, it was unusual Place) charge your devices, but it worked so it’s fine 😂 
 
Keep in mind that it may be rather noisy during the weekends as there were bars downstairs, that’s truly lively at night and the around of vicinity had lots of restaurants, bars and convenience store within walking distance. Speaking of noises, just be mindful that to be slow in what you do in the pod because it could get noisy especially during the night. And be careful with the blinds as I didn’t know, when I pull it i immediately let it go so bounced off right to the top with a loud bang. I hope I didn’t scared anyone 😂 

Other than that, I think it’s a cool affordable place for all the solo travellers alike!

Location: Great.
Ambiance: Decent, acceptable. There were quite a few Indian guests though.
Bedding Hygiene: Excellent. Very clean, exceeded my expectations.
If you're checking in late and leaving early the next morning, I'd definitely recommend it.

I booked a room through Trip.com, but unfortunately, the room I received was very different from what was shown in the advertisement. The actual room had a strong bad smell, like cigarettes, and was not clean. It was very disappointing and not what I expected based on the pictures.

However, after I complained, both Trip.com and the hotel were helpful. They arranged for me to move to a better room, which was much more acceptable. I appreciate the quick response, but I hope the listings in the future can be more accurate to avoid this kind of situation.

Hotel is clean and have pretty of space that allow my wife to study with a desk. The only one item need some improvement is the safety box, it is too small , I can not put my computer in it.
